Case Study of Flipped-learning on a Basic Engineering Practice (공학전공기초실습에 플립러닝 적용사례)

  • Flip-learning enables an effective teaching and learning in accordance with the deepening degree of engineering education as a framework that enables learning according to the individual differences of the theoretical aspects, and solving real problems and practice of the learner-centered education through the application of this. The subject of basic fluid power practice which is used in various industries requiring factory automation aims at understanding of the composition and operating principles of pneumatic components and programming of electric sequential circuits, building the design ability of pneumatic system. This subject goes by 3 hour classes with theory and practice side by side. So it has not enough time to instruct students various contents related in this subject. In this study, the instructional design was performed according to the KOREATECH (Korea University of Technology and Education) flip-learning basic model for the effective teaching of 'Basic Fluid Power Practice' in basic engineering practice courses,. And the effectiveness of flip-learning is analyzed through the students survey after performing classes.

  • This paper presents the process of developing, applying and increasingly updating curriculums to reinforce education in IT field through cooperation of industry and academy by the invention of government. In particular, the curriculums are developed and refined in order to satisfy both industry as users and academy as suppliers, using a spiral model, which was originally proposed for software development by Boehm. The result and the assessment are described where the developed curriculums have been applied at the universities in a national-wide base through a project by government. The basic principles of this model are general enough to be applied to curriculum development in various areas of college education.

  • This study aims to provide an industry-university cooperation cap in a non-face-to-face environment so that sharing and cooperation between universities can be shared based on the advanced digital technology between various universities at a time when it is rapidly changing to an online mode. It is in developing the stone design course. To this end, we analyzed the literature and previous studies on non-face-to-face environments and capstone design, developed a model for industrial-educational collaboration-type capstone design subjects in non-face-to-face environments, and suggested an application plan. The wearable capstone design program was pilot-applied, and the effectiveness was confirmed and corrected through the students' interview and questionnaire. This can be used as an industrial-educational cooperation engineering class capstone design class plan, providing basic data for development and operation, and as a step-by-step operation guide in a non-face-to-face environment.

  • In this paper, to invigorate elderly-friendly industry, a case study on curriculum for re-educational work of the field engineers is introduced. The curriculum has been developed to retrain technicians and engineers in IT-based elderly-friendly business industry, to help them develop elderly-friendly products, and it have been evolved by operating it and analyzing outcome and satisfaction levels since August in 2009. The re-education work of the field engineers are designed for invigorating the IT-based elderly-friendly business industry, based on the instruction system design(ISD) model. To develop IT-based elderly-friendly products, the elderly-friendly accessible design and the elderly-friendly living and health care equipment design are required. For the elderly-friendly accessible design, it consists of "Elderly-Friendly Engineering Based on Human Characteristics", "Color Sensibility and Universal Design for The Elderly", and "Design Understanding and Process". For the elderly-friendly living and health care equipment design, it consists of "Embedded System Design and Debugging Experiments for Elderly-Friendly IT Equipment", "Elderly-Friendly Android Implementation Design", and "Design and Experiments of Silver-care Android-based Smart Equipment".

21세기를 대비한 전기전자공학 교과과정과 대학인정평가제도

  • 우리나라 전기전자공학과는 완전히 분리되어 있고 그 외에도 제어계측공학과, 전산기공학과, 전자통신공학과 등으로 분리되어 있으나 선진국에서는 하나의 학과로 되어 있다. 그리고 우리나라의 교과과정은 졸업에 필요한 과목수가 지나치게 많아서 한과목을 깊게 공부하는대산 여러과목을 훑어보는 식으로 운용되어 왔다. 전공과목수가 9개(실제로는 미분방정식과 졸업논문을 제외하면 7개) 밖에 안된다고 해서 M.I.T.의 전기전자공학 교육이 우리나라보다 못하다고 말 할 수는 없다. MIT의 교과과정이 오늘과 같이 된데에는 오랜 연구와 경험이 필요하였다. 즉 기술 과목만을 많이 가르쳐서 졸업시키면 졸업생의 대부분이 인문사회 출신 사장 아래에서 기술자 역할밖에 못한다는 것을 알았던 것이다. 2차 대전 당시 레이다를 포함한 각종 신형전자장비를 개발한 것은 공대출신보다는 물리학과 수학과 출신의 역할이 컸던 것이다. 특히, SPUTNIK이 1957년에 발사된 이후 미국의 공대들은 과학과목에 큰 비중을 두게 되었던 것이다. 최근에는 그 반작용으로 설계과목에 비중을 두기 시작하였다. 졸업후 2-3년 지나면 별로 쓸모없는 과목들을 많이 가르치는 것보다는 기초적인 과목만을 충실하게 가르치는 것이 훨씬 좋다고 본다.

  • Currently social and economical situations of the world including Korea are tremendously changing because of developments of various technologies including information technology. It is well known that the current world is society of globalization, knowledge and information. In order to accomodate the engineering education of Korea to the world standards, many researches about engineering education should be studied. Therefore, the purpose of this research is to develope the course of 'Introduction to Engineering Design' for undergraduate students in engineering schools. The graduates from the engineering schools should have various communication skills such as presentation, report preparation, language skills, etc. Also the graduates have to change their mind from passivity to creativity for their works. The other important things for graduates are improvement of the teamwork skills in the team and improvement of project management skills. Therefore, this paper will present the processes of the course development and the contents of the course concerning teamwork, inventive thinking, project management, and presentation skills.

Curriculum Development for Agribusiness Management Consulting Competency of Agricultural Educator (농업인교육자의 농기업경영컨설팅능력 개발을 위한 교육과정 개발)

  • This study was aimed to find the agribusiness management consulting competency for agricultural educator, to find the teaching method and evaluation criteria for each competency group, and to recommend the subjects, contents of each subject, instruction method and evaluation criteria of each subject. Through the literature review, web searching of agricultural consulting company and 17 experts members' reviews as delphi methods, agribusiness management consulting competency for agricultural educator was found of 64 items in 90 items. After educability reviews, it was selected of 45 item in 64 items for necessary and educable competency. And it was selected to good teaching method and evaluation criteria in each competency groups. Finally, eight subjects, major contents of each subject, instructional method and evaluation criteria in each subject were recommended for agribusiness management competency, and some recommendations were presented.

  • National Competency Standards (NCS) is a good resource for curriculum development and operations corresponding to the industrial damand. Recently, four-year colleges and universities are committed to a restructuring of the industry demand-driven training courses in order to strengthen competitiveness. However, NCS is focused to train the technical personnel in vocational training institutions(ex. College, Polytechnic University). Accordingly, NCS applications of four-year colleges and universities are hard to find. In this study, we propose a new model for NCS-based curriculum development and operations. Also, NCS was utilized to complement the existing curriculum. This paper includes the following contents; 1) NCS-based curriculum development process, 2) NCS-based course development and operation, 3) learner satisfaction analysis. Finally, this study provide practical implications to four-year colleges and universities to consider NCS application.

  • Current oversupply of college graduates is the need in the industry, but the absolute lack of manpower and the company's dissatisfaction with graduates of the retraining costs borne by businesses increases with the overall gap between university education and industry is causing a scene. Particularly job-oriented vocational training colleges for the purpose of sahoegak areas of professional knowledge, teaching theory, research, and cultivate talent, and social development of countries required to cultivate professional personnel for the purpose were established. However, the purpose of today's college founded largely on these off, which reflects the needs of industry through the development of the curriculum of colleges established in the original intent and purpose of the on demand came to be intellectually and socially. Reflect the needs of industrial on-site training is the development "of industrial units for each job through the job analysis is required in college to acquire job skills training to be a list of subjects and the importance of each subject and analyzed the incidence and Curriculum Development Reflected in and through which industry and the job comes from the college curriculum to eliminate the gap between research. Research-oriented job analysis methods commonly used in curriculum development, DACUM technique was used, through which subjects daebipyo skills, selection of the companies surveyed set of job model, job creation and the job description and job specification we analyze it using a group of experts to evaluate the interview and questionnaire via WEB to evaluate the results of the educational process.

Curriculum Orientations of Home Economics Teacher Educators (가정과 교사교육자들의 가정과 교육과정 관점)

  • 본 연구는 가정과 교사교육자(전국 국 사립 대학의 가정교육과에 재직하고 있는 교수)들의 교육과정 관점을 조사함으로써 실천적 비판 중심 가정과 교육과정 개발을 위한 기초자료와 교사교육자들을 위한 세미나 프로그램 개발을 위한 유용한 자료를 제공하고자 한다. 본 연구의 결과는 다음과 같다. (1) 가정과 교사교육자들은 하나의 두드러진 교육과정 관점을 선호하지는 않았지만 인지과정중심 교육과정에 가장 높은 선호도를 보였다. (2) 석사과정에서 가정학 세부영역을 전공한 교사교육자는 가정교육학을 전공한 교사교육자보다 학문중심 교육과정과 기술중심 교육과정을 가정과 교육을 위한 적절한 관점으로 인식하였다. (3) 박사과정에서 가정교육학을 전공한 교사교육자는 가정학 세부영역을 전공한 교사교육자보다 개인중심교육과정을 가정과 교육을 위한 적절한 관점으로 인식하였다. (4) 가정교육학 관련 교과목을 가르치는 교사교육자는 가정학 세부영역 관련 교과목을 가르치는 교사교육자보다 기술중심 교육과정을 가정과 교육을 위한 적절한 관점으로 인식하였다.
