본고는 금년 3월부터 (사)대한양계협회 광주전남도지회장을 맡아 협회 회원들의 복리증진과 이익을 대변하고 지역사회 발전을 위해 동분서주 뛰고 있는 정준규 지회장을 만나 광주전남지역의 양계현황과 지회 운영방안에 대해 들어보았다.

한국오리협회 광주·전남도지회(지회장 전영옥)가 지난 7월 14일 전남 영암축협에서 '제14차 정기총회'를 개최했다. 260여 명이 넘는 오리농가들이 참석한 이날 정기총회에서는 지난해 광주·전남도지회 사업실적과 수입·지출 결산안을 원안의결 하는 한편 각종 방역교육 등이 이어지며 전남지역 오리농가들의 힘을 하나로 결집하는 자리로 마련됐다. 최다 인원이 참석한 이날 정기총회를 중심으로 한국오리산업의 메카인 광주·전남지역의 현안을 살펴봤다.

혹자는 그녀를 '대장부'라고도 하고 다른 사람들은 그녀를 '외유내강'이라고도 한다. 대한민국 최고의 오리 집산지인 전남지역의 오리농가들을 대표하는 전영옥 한국오리협회 광주·전남도지회장은 오리농가들의 권익을 위해서라면 불도저처럼 밀어붙이고, 오리농가의 어려움이 있을 때는 옆집 누나처럼 세심하게 살피며 전남·광주도지회를 이끌고 있다. '전영옥이 뜨면 전남도의 오리농가는 모두 모인다'는 소문을 확인이라도 하듯 지난 7월 14일 영암축협에서 열린 광주·전남도지회 정기총회에는 역대 최다 인원인 260여 명의 오리농가가 운집하며 오리농가들의 결집된 힘을 보여줬다. 전남 오리농가들의 '큰 누나' 전영옥 지회장을 만나러 가보자

전국 시 도회는 지난 해 개최된 총회를 통해 제9대 시 도회장을 새롭게 구성하고 각 지역에서 설비 건설업계 및 협회 발전을 위해 활발한 활동을 벌이고 있다. 이에 본지는 전국 시 도회장으로부터 사업계획을 듣는 코너를 연재하고 있다. 이번 호에는 이연풍 광주 전남도회 회장으로부터 광주 전남도회의 사업추진 현황과 향후 사업계획을 들었다. 날카로움과 자상함, 겸손과 풍류 등을 두루 갖춘 균형적인 감각으로 광주 전남도회를 이끌고 있는 이연풍 회장은 제8대에 이어 제9대까지 연임 중이다. 이연풍 회장은 인권 문화 경제를 삼각축으로 한 사람존중 생명도시 광주 전남지역의 힘찬 비상을 위해 회원사의 경쟁력 제고와 재도약 발판 마련에 적극 노력하고 있다.

고층건물은 랜드마크로서 그 도시를 대표해 정치, 경제, 사회적으로 엄청난 파급효과 창출이 입증되면서 세계 유수 도시가 경쟁적으로 추진하고 있다. 광주광역시와 전라남도는 광주·전남을 상징하는 고층 건물 건립을 진행하고 있으며 현재 시공 중이거나 시공 예정인 고층 건물은 $\Delta$금호생명 광주사옥(30층) $\Delta$대우 디오빌(24층) $\Delta$광주은행 본사(20층) 등이다. 광주·전남 지역에 건립된 고층건물에 대해 알아본다. 본지는 지난 6월 서울특별시에 이어 전국에 건설 중이거나 건설 예정인 고층건물에 대한 정보를 수록할 예정이다.

Central government of Korea devised the balanced national development as one of important agenda of government administration, and set up special act for balanced national development. According to special act, a plan to transfer public institutions to local areas was publicized on June 24, 2005. Thus 175 public institutions located in the capital area will be transfered to 11 local governments, and innovative cities will be built in local areas until 2012. However, Gwangju and Jeonnam province adopted not two individual innovative cities but one common innovative city in cooperation with two local governments. This study focuses on the characteristics of location selection process of common innovative city in Gwangju and Jeonnam province. Discussion about construction of common innovative city was started in need of new model for common development of two provinces, and most of peoples agreed a plan to establish on common innovative city within Jeonnam area near Gwangju area. Gwangju Jeonnam Regional Innovation Council, in particular, played an important role in the process of location selection and initial discussion about common innovative city. In addition, Common innovative city to be built in Naju city will be provided positive regional development effects in several dimensions. In result, it has been evaluated as a successful model of innovative city to be constructed with transfer of public institutions to local areas.

The purpose of this study was to analyze the dietary habits and perception of vegetable intake of elementary students in Gwangju and Jeonnam Gokseong county. Data collection was conducted from 5th and 6th grade students of elementary schools in Gwangju and Jeonnam Gokseong county using a structured questionnaire survey. The SPSS program was used for statistics processing and data analysis. The chi-square test was also conducted. In terms of dietary intake habits, female students consumed their meals slower than male students. Information on dietary habits and nutrition was commonly obtained from family, including the mother or father who commonly prepared meals at home. Snacks were commonly consumed less than twice daily, with the Gwangju area having a higher frequency of snacks than the Jeonnam area. Elementary students indicated that vegetables were their least favorite food, with female students having a higher interest in vegetables than male students. The pattern and perception of vegetable intake came when the students (that did not eat vegetables) were lectured by their parents on the nutritive value of vegetables. Most students understood the important nutritional ingredients of vegetables. In the case of an interest in vegetables, the Gwangju area showed significantly more comprehension than the Jeonnam area on the definition and role of dietary fiber, the dental benefits of dietary fiber, and the identification of the environment-friendly certification mark.

This paper investigated the awareness and activation of food tourism festivals in Gwangju, Jeonnam Province. A survey was conducted for the visitors of the Gwangju Kimchi Festival at nearby Gwangju Jeungoe park from October 15 to 19, 2011, and finally 207 respondents were analyzed. As a results of this study, the visitors who visited the Gwangju Kimchi Festival have a lot of interest in local food and food festivals. Also, most of the visitors have much more affection for the area and the food culture developed by geographical influence. The Gwangju Kimchi festival proved to be the most popular food tourism festival in Gwangju, Jeonnam among others. There are much more food festivals than other regions in Gwangju, Jeonnam because of popularity of food festivals, a variety of food, and various kinds of food ingredients. What is necessary to activate the food tourism festivals in Gwangju, Jeonnam includes a variety of programs related to food tourism experience, the development of competitive food tourism products, and PR for well-being food of these areas.

This study verified whether university students of Gwangju and Jeollanam-do recall negative information like violence and death faster than positive information like democratic community about the May 18 Gwangju democratic movement in implicit dimension. University students of Gwangju responded faster when the May 18 combined with the pictures of negative content. However, university students of Jeollanam-do responded marginally faster when the May 18 combined with the pictures of positive content. In addition, the students performed implicit evaluation test towards the May 18. The students of Gwangju showed a slightly negative attitude towards the May 18, while the students of Jeollanam-do showed a positive attitude towards the May 18. This study acquires significance because it confirmed that university students of Gwangju have an implicit representation similar to trauma and a terrible feeling about the May 18.
