바이링걸의 재일 코리안 인지증 고령자와의 커뮤니케이션 -개인 회상법에 의한 양국 언어의 회화 분석을 통해-

  • 바이링걸의 인지증고령자와의 보다 유효한 커뮤니케이션의 가능성의 검토를 목적으로, 이문화를 배려한 모국어에 의한 개인 회상법을 이용한 회화를 실시했다. 회화는, 재일 코리안의 문화를 배려한 특별 양호 노인홈에 입주중이며 중도의 인지증 바이링걸 고령자 4명(모두 여성, 평균 88세)의 협력하에 실시했다. 모국어와 일본어의 장면에서, 개인 회상법에 의한 회화 내용과 감정 표출에 차이가 발생하는가의 관점에서 양 회화장면의 비교 분석을 실시했다. 그 결과, 중증의 인지증고령자라고해도 바이링걸의 특징인 자연스러운 코드 스위칭(Code-Switching;CS)가 관찰되었다. 즉, 과거의 학습이나 경험에 의해 축적된 모국의 언어 형식을 사용하는 기능이 잔존 능력으로서 잠재하고있는 것이 밝혀졌다. 덧붙여 ERiC 감정 반응 평가 척도를 이용해 관찰한 결과, 일본어의 장면보다 모국어의 장면에 대해 긍정적 감정의 풍부함이 관찰되었다. 이상으로, 바이링걸의 재일 코리안 인지증고령자 1세와 모국어를 이용한 회상법에 의한 회화는, 바이링걸의 특징을 기초로한 하나의 유효한 어프로치라고 생각된다.

  • 원적외선이 생체에 미치는 영향을 관찰하기 위하여 포유동물인 흰쥐를 대상으로 실험을 실시하였다. 원적외선이 발생되도록 특수설계된 장치를 이용하여 흰쥐의 생리상태, 생식활동 및 생존능력에 변화와 차이를 유발시키는지의 여부를 관찰한 결과, 물과 먹이의 소모량, 체중, 수태율, 출산율 및 새끼의 성비(性比)에 있어서 자연상태와 동일하였기 때문에 원적외선이 하등의 유해작용을 발생시키지 않는다는 사실을 확인하였고, 가혹한 실험상황에서 흰쥐의 생존력이 자연상태의 흰쥐보다 약 122% 증가한다는 결과를 얻으므로써 원적외선이 흰쥐의 체력과 지구력을 증강시키는 역할을 한다는 새로운 사실을 관찰하였다.

  • Veterinary clinicostatistical observation on the productive performance in a breeding sow herd in Japan during the period from January to December in 1990, in a modernized breeding sow herd in kanagawa prefecture, consist monthly, varied from 347 to 363 sows on production(average 355) and boar on service of between 26~29(average 28) shows computerized analysing figures of moderate high production results per year of 20.8 weaning pigs per sow or 18.8 fatteners at market weight per sow when continue their rearing within farm. Sows perform average 2.25 litters per sow that year. On other hand, morbidity rate of piglets with clinical signs and symptoms was 0.2%(morbidity rate : 200 per 100,000 population In piglets) on average in year and that of mortality rate in suckling from birth was 17.8%, respectively Finally, these information may be used or reference in further study of the field of veterinary clinicostatistics and medicine.

Development and application of mathematical activities for gifted students (수학 영재교육 자료의 개발과 적용 사례 연구)

  • This study intends to develope and apply mathematical activities for gifted students. According to the Polya's research and Krutetskii's study, mathematical activities were developed and observed. The activities were aimed at discovery of Euler's theorem through exploration of soccer ball at first. After the repeated application and reflection, the aim and the main activities were changed to the exploration of soccer ball itself and about related mathematical facts. All the students actively participated in the activities, proposed questions need to be proved, disproved by counter examples during the fourth program. Also observation, conjectures, inductive arguments played a prominent role.

An Analysis on the Relationship of Teacher's Recommendation and Performance in Gifted Programs for the Selected Student by Teacher's Observations and Nominations (관찰.추천 전형으로 선발된 학생들의 교사추천서와 프로그램 수행의 관련성 분석)

  • The relationship of the teacher's recommendation and performance in gifted programs for the selected student by teacher's observations and nominations was analyzed in this study. The teacher's recommendation for 9 students selected by teacher's observations and nominations in institute of Science gifted Education of C National University of Education was analyzed for this purpose. The students were categorized into 4 groups depending on the description style and contents of the teacher's recommendation and 1 student was selected from each group for analysis. It was shown that the student, a1 who was described with cognitive characteristics of the gifted in episode style in the teacher's recommendation showed the aggressive task adherence and problem solving ability. The student, a2 who was described with emotional and social characteristics in episode style attended at the class in active attitude, but the student solved the problem by the assistance of the colleagues or the teacher. The student, b1 who was listed superficially in the teacher's recommendation showed the excellent problem solving ability based on the task adherence, experiment design ability and experiment manipulation ability. The student, b2 who was listed in superficially in the teacher's recommendation attended at the class in positive and upright attitude, but the task solving was lagged behind. It is concluded from the above results that the description on the cognitive area is necessary for the teacher's recommendation to have the usefulness in selecting gifted students.

Antioxidant and Antibacterial Effects of Korean Isodon japonicus H. (한국산 연명초(延命草)(Isodon japonicus Hara)의 항산화, 항균효과)

  • Biological activities and application of Isodon japonicus H. were investigated. In the physiological activities, the electron donating ability (EDA) was 66.3% in 100 ppm and SOD-like activity was as high as 85.0% in 1,000 ppm with gradual increase. As for the inhibitory effect of xanthine oxidase, it was 70.0% in 1,000 ppm and as low as 40.0% in 500 ppm; also, as for the inhibitory effect of tyrosinase, it was as low as 20.5% below 1,000 ppm. The tyrosinase inhibition effect related to skin whitening function showed 30.0% at 1,000 ppm level or below, indicating a relatively low effect. As for the result of measuring the lipid oxidation, all the concentrations of medical ion treatments showed anti-acidification ability; also, as for the metal ion blocking effects against the lipid oxidation promoting factors $(Fe^{2+}\;and\;Cu^{2+})$, $Fe^{2+}$ was better than $Cu^{2+}$ and all concentrations of medical ion treatments was 60.0% in 100 ppm. Also, the clear zone against various bacteria at 0.5 and 1.0 mg/disc was clearly shown. When it was applied into a normal skin-softener, it was safe, showing its potential as a natural material of cosmetics.

A Study on Evaluation Methods for Implementing PBL in Engineering School (공과대학에서 PBL 적용을 위한 평가방법 연구)

  • The purpose of this paper is to develop evaluation methods in order to apply effective problem-based learning (PBL). To observe the effectiveness of a PBL system on learners and to comprehend the learning process of a PBL application, analysis of reflective journals and an evaluation questionnaire completed by participants (n=68) were used. The participants of the study were recruited from Hankyong National University students who undertook first-year Creative Engineering Design. A total of four problems for the PBL-based lectures were designed and applied to 12 weeks of PBL lectures. The participants completed reflective journals upon completion of each PBL problem-based activity; upon completion of the last PBL problem, participants completed and submitted a PBL system class-evaluation questionnaire. Also the participants completed an evaluation questionnaire at each step of the instructional procedures for each PBL problem-based activity. The findings of the research show that the participants increased their comprehension of PBL systems, their understanding of lecture content and of cooperative learning, and improved their self-reflection, authentic experience, creative problem-solving skills, communication skills, documentation skills, presentation skills, observational skills, and evaluation skills. The participants described how learning through PBL increased their confidence, satisfaction, and sense of achievement, compared to the previous semester.

Effects of Plasma on the Surface of Protein Chip Plates (단백질 칩 기판의 플라즈마 효과)

  • Nickel Chloride coated protein chip plates were developed by using a spin coating method after $H_2$ plasma treatment. The adsorption ability of histidine tagged protein was investigated at various times of plasma treatment. The properties of the nickel chloride and protein on the surface of the slides were assayed using particle size analysis and the extent of the protein adsorption was determined by using a bio imaging analyzer system. The results show that the ability of protein adsorption decreased as increasing the time of $H_2$ plasma treatment. The mechanism on the ability of protein adsorption at the plate surface is discussed on results and discussions. The results also suggest that the surface stabilization of protein chip plates treated by plasma technology may be applicable in biosensor markets.

The Relationships among Infant's Delay Gratification, Delay Strategy, and Parents' Child-rearing Attitude (영아의 만족지연능력과 만족지연전략 및 어머니의 양육방식간의 관계)

  • The purpose of this study was to examine the relationships among delay gratification, delay strategy, and parents' child-rearing attitude. The participants of the study were 62, 18-36 month old infants, who demonstrated individual differences in the level of delay gratification and their mothers. The instruments of the study were infant's delay gratification and delay strategy were assessed by Mischele(1974) and the parents' responded to the parents' child-rearing attitude(Cho et al., 1999). Data were collected by menas of conducting observations on infants in experimental settings and completing questionnaires with mothers. The results of this study were as follows: 1. The delay gratification of infants differed accordingly to their age. Older infants displayed increased time in showing their delay gratification, while younger infants relatively exhibited shortened time. There was no significant difference in infants' sex and the order of the birth. 2. Following the age factor, the distraction strategy in the delay strategy played a significant difference to infants. Older infants required a frequent use of the distraction strategy in comparison to younger infants. 3. The previous two factors - delay gratification and distraction strategy-showed a positive relationship. 4. The delay gratification was significantly influenced by infants' age, parents' attitude, direct facing strategy, and infants' distraction strategy. However, the delay gratification was insignificantly accounted for by infants' sex.

Influence of Empathy, Aggression, Self-Esteem on Social Preference and Social Impact in Preschoolers (유아의 사회적 선호도 및 영향력과 공감능력, 공격성 및 자아존중감의 관련성)

  • Objective: The purpose of this study was to investigate the effects of empathy, aggression, and self-esteem on social preference and social impact in preschoolers. Methods: The participants were 307 five year olds who were recruited from day care centers and preschools located in Seoul and Gyeonggi province. Social preference and social impact was measured with peer nominations. Empathy and aggression were measured by teacher ratings. Moreover, self-esteem was asessed using self-reports. The data was analysed using Pearson correlation and hierarchial regression. Results: Findings indicate that social preference is associated with empathy, however, social impact was associated with physical as well as relational aggression. Conclusion/Implications: The findings suggest that the practice of physical and relational aggression may be related with peer status as early as preschool.
