  • This study aims to find out how the photographing affects the satisfaction of visitor experience in the art gallery. We surveyed the visitors who visited the exhibition hall. In order to see if the selfie photographs positively affect the visitor satisfaction level, one-way ANOVA was conducted and the mediating effect of the flow and the moderating effect of narcissistic tendency and involvement was examined. As a result of study, First, in the relationship between photography and satisfaction, the group who took a photo but did not take a self-shot showed higher satisfaction than the group who did not take a photo and self-shot in the exhibition area. This result shows that photographing the art work in the exhibition hall gives experience-based satisfaction to the visitors, but self-shot does not show positive effect on the satisfaction. Second, the hypothesis that the flow degree will play a mediating role of the visitor's experience-based satisfaction in the relationship between art work photo-shot and self-shot type in exhibition hall was rejected. Third, the positive effect of involvement was shown only in the groups that did not take self-shot but took pictures in the exhibition hall. This shows that the satisfaction of the self-shot visitor is not affected by the degree of involvement of art. The results of this study are expected to help determine the policy for permission to take photographs in art galleries.

  • The main purpose of this study is to examine the mediating effects of performance satisfaction and audience loyalty through the motivation and community satisfaction of non-profit performance attendees in the local community. Motivations were examined by distinguishing between intrinsic and extrinsic factors to understand the profound desires of the audience. A survey was conducted targeting attendees who had experienced non-profit performances in the Jeju area over the past year to gather data. Ultimately, the survey responses from 363 participants were used as the basis for analysis. The results of the analysis indicated that higher levels of intrinsic and extrinsic motivations generally led to greater satisfaction and loyalty towards performances (H1, H2, H3). However, extrinsic motivation did not directly influence loyalty (H4). Nevertheless, both types of motivations were found to positively influence loyalty through performance satisfaction (H5, H8). While satisfaction with performances did not have a direct impact on community satisfaction (H6), audience loyalty was found to have a positive influence on community satisfaction (H7). Regarding motivations, performance satisfaction did not mediate the relationship between motivations and community satisfaction (H9). In the case of audience loyalty, intrinsic motivation showed mediating effects, while extrinsic motivation did not (H10). The process of motivation-satisfaction-loyalty-community satisfaction demonstrated a sequential pathway (H11). In conclusion, if local residents show interest and participate in non-profit performances, they develop a positive perception of the respective community. Therefore, performances provided at the local level should be recognized as crucial elements for the development of the community.

  • The items currently used in museum service evaluations fail to offer satisfactory suggestions that could aid in the improvement of museum services. This study aims to identify and develop items that take into consideration the unique nature of art museum services. This study also identifies factors that determine visitor satisfaction and decisions to revisit with the end of offering methods to improve art museum service. The research conducted was based on an on-site survey of visitors of the Gwangju Art Museum. 223 questionnaires were collected, 211 of which were used in the data analysis. Factor analysis was applied to identify service factors to be considered at art museums. Regression analysis was then applied to estimate the influence of each factor in visitor satisfaction and revisit intention. This study first identifies five service quality factors of art museums: display method, employers, content, facilities, and supplemental programs. Results of the regression analysis showed that content is the most important factor in raising customer satisfaction and revisit intention. Supplemental programs were also significant in raising young and family customer satisfaction. The results also showed that various supplemental services such as education and experiential programs were necessary. Service facilities were also statistically significant factors in customer satisfaction and revisit intention. This study contributes in identifying five factors that could better measure art museum service quality. It also suggests a method to improve museum service quality based on the results of empirical investigations. This information could be of great help to art museum operators and other researchers.

  • The purpose of this study was to investigate the relationship between the performance factors of dance performance and the intention to revisit the audience, and to investigate the structural relationship between viewing satisfaction and viewing value. For data processing, SPSS Ver. 21.0 and AMOS Ver. The program of 21.0 was used. Structural relationships were analyzed using a two-step approach, and the significance of the effects was verified using bootstrapping. In addition, a full mediating effect and a partial mediating effect were presented using the three-step regression analysis mediating effect. The results of the study are as follows. First, it was found that the viewing factors influenced the viewing satisfaction and the viewing value. Second, it was found that viewing satisfaction had an intention to revisit and influenced the viewing value. It was also found that the viewing value had an effect on the intention to revisit. Third, in the relationship between the viewing factors of the dance performance and the viewing value, it was found that the viewing satisfaction had a partial mediating effect. Fourth, it was found that the attendance factor of the dance performance was not related to the intention to revisit. However, it was found that the satisfaction of viewing and the value of viewing had a complete mediating effect in relation to the viewing factors of dance performances and the intention to revisit. Through these studies, the dance performance should overcome the inherent limitations of space-time limitations and present basic data for establishing a mid- to long-term marketing strategy that can respond quickly.

  • This study aims to verify whether service characteristic factors of theme park, consisting of ease of access, convenience of service, diversity of events and safety of facilities have positive effect on customer satisfaction and, in turn, customer satisfaction on intention of revisit for customers. We conducted surveys on 317 customers having experiences of visiting domestic theme parks and obtained the results that three factors except ease of access have positive effect on customer satisfaction and customer satisfaction on intention of revisit. As the further analysis, we checked if customer satisfaction has positive moderating effect on the relationship between four service characteristic factors and intention of revisit. We found that diversity of events and safety of facilities have full moderating effect and convenience of service partial moderating effect, while ease of access has not that effect, which offer implication that theme parks have to make more effort and investments related to diversity of events and safety of facilities to increase possibility of customer revisit.

  • In this paper, we analyzed audience satisfaction procedures in performing art, specifically in musical, in terms of Expectation Disconfirmation Theory. We analyzed one's expectations and outcomes over time; we first classified audience expectations and outcomes about environmental elements as 'the first expectation'/'the first outcome' and about watching situation & content itself as 'the second expectation'/'the second outcome', then analyzed by comparing those two. Through surveying and analyzing the result, this paper serves that the ultimate fact which affects on the final audience satisfaction is 'the second outcome', which is the outcome about watching situation & content itself. This paper also shows that audience expectation toward physical quality of environment affects to 'the second expectation', then 'the second expectation' affects to 'the second outcome', so then affects to the final satisfaction. However, 'the first outcome' doesn't affect to 'the second expectation'; in other words, the physical environment does not affect much to the audience final satisfaction. We expect that our study provides clues for venue management in performing arts.
