  • The metaverse applies various technological means such as digital twin modeling, 3D rendering, and holographic imaging, which can provide an immersive tourism service experience. However, since the development of the metaverse is still in its infancy, there is relatively little research on digital tourism from the perspective of the metaverse. This research empirically studies the factors that promote the participation behavior of users on the metaverse platform for digital cultural tourism. Our results show that users' internal motivations for learning and entertainment and the functions provided by metaverse, which are sensory stimulation and social interaction lead to the intention to participate in cultural tourism on metaverse with the mediating effects of immersion experience and perceived pleasure.

  • Purpose - The main objective of this study was to investigate tourists behavior by applying protection motivation theory and health belief model during COVID-19 pandemic. Specifically, the study examined how risk perception of COVID-19 affects tourists' protection motivation and travel avoidance intention. Design/methodology/approach - The empirical data was collected by self-administered questionnaires to obtain perception and behavior regarding COVID-19 pandemic situation. A total of 486 questionnaires were used for data analysis and SEM analysis was applied in order to examine seven hypotheses. Findings-The results showed that COVID-19 risk perception is a significant antecedent of threat appraisal, coping appraisal, and cue to action (H1, H2, H6). Moreover, protection motivation is affected by threat appraisal and coping appraisal (H3, H4) and influences on travel avoidance intention (H5). However, cue to action does not affect protection motivation (H7). Research implications or Originality - This study provides insightful implications for tourism industry practitioners who will prepare the post-corona field and the results enrich knowledge of the tourist behavior during pandemic situation.

  • With the development of society, changes in the family structure of China's residents and the increase in family income, parent-child travel has gradually become a new hotspot for tourism consumption. It is important for tourism marketers to understand the needs and motivations of parent-child travelers. This study explored the push and pull motivations of parent-child travelers by conducting a questionnaire survey of 290 travelers to parent-child farms and validated the path relationships between push and pull motivations, experiences and behavioral intentions. The result indicated that: 3 push factors were derived from the factor analysis of 13 push items and were named as 'For children & Family', 'Escape & Relax', and 'Socialization'; 3 pull factors were derived from the factor analysis of 11 pull items and were labeled: 'Facilities & Safety', 'Theme activities', and 'Environment'. Through sub hypotheses testing, the results show that push-pull motivation of parent-child travelers has a positive effect on their experience(4Es) for attending. 'Esthetics Experience' has the highest effect on the parent-child travelers' behavioral intentions, followed by 'Education Experience' and 'Entertainment Experience'.

It directly or indirectly supports the results of previous studies. It directly or indirectly supports the results of previous studies. Therefore, the perception that can be expressed by knowing the characteristics of the local food is expressed by the continuous relationship and maintenance of the local food, so that the trust, the commitment, and the satisfaction expressed as the quality of the relationship can be expressed as the continuing relationship, maintenance and interest. If the meaning of local food and storytelling are given in order to induce growth and development of food tourism as a local food, it will be very helpful for building image of local traditional food. If local food is perceived as a favorable or unattractive attitude, it will be related to meaning and continuous interest and food and beverage behavior as local people such as active interest and pride in local food, It is believed that food will play a big role in the growth and development of tourism resources.

  • This paper proposes the technique to protect the privacy of those who uses Smart Tourism Service based on location. The proposed privacy protection technique (1) generates a shared private key, OTK(One Time Key) without information exchanging Users with a Tourism Server and provides Users and a Tourism Server with message confidentiality by encrypting data with the key, (2) concatenates users' ID, login time(timestamp), and randomly-generated nonce, generates OTK by hashing with a hash function, encrypts users' location information and query by using the operation of OTK and XOR and provides Users and a Tourism Server with message confidentiality by sending the encrypted result. (3) protects a message replay attack by adding OTK and timestamp. Therefore, this paper not only provides data confidentiality and users' privacy protection but also guarantees the safety of location information and behavior pattern data.

Particularly, this study focused on the mediation effect of attitude. Data were collected from 658 rural healing tourists by online survey. SPSS 28.0 and AMOS 28.0 were used for frequency, exploratory factor, confirmatory factor, and structural equation modeling analyses. The results of structural equation modeling indicate perception of rurality had a positive effect on attitude and behavioral intention. In addition, attitude mediated the relationships between perception of rurality and behavioral intention. The results of this study suggest the importance of understanding the interests and pursuits of rural healing tourists and providing them with the values they want. Since rurality has a direct influence on attracting healing tourists, it is necessary to establish a positive image of rural healing tourism.

  • To increase knowledge regarding the ecotourism market in Korea, this study conducted a market segmentation based on tourists' motivations and attitudes. An onsite survey of visitors to Daebu Haesol 1 gil, Gyeonggi Province, was conducted from late November 2016 to early January 2017. An exploratory factor analysis and K-means cluster analysis were employed to identify market segments by using data collected from 434 respondents. The results showed three distinct segments labelled 'Nature Seeking Responsible Tourists', 'Passive Nature Seeking Tourists' and 'Nature/Cohesion Seeking Responsible Tourists.' All three segments had different levels of 'escape', 'health' and 'cohesion' motivations but commonly they all had a relatively high level of 'nature' motivation. As they also differed from each other in terms of sociodemographic and travel related characteristics as well as satisfaction level, it was concluded that motivation and attitudes of responsibility can be used for ecotourism market segmentation. A significant implication is that this research confirmed that the indicators on tourists' attitude of responsibility toward local communities are useful in segmenting visitors to ecotourism sites, which have been rarely studied in previous ecotourism market studies.

  • This study tried to understand the meaning of resource attraction, entertainment experience, love mark, and attachment of tourist destinations. A theoretical study was conducted on each research concept to achieve the proposed research purpose. Based on this, an empirical study was conducted after deriving a questionnaire based on this, and a non-face-to-face survey was conducted nationwide using population-proportional sampling. The empirical study was confirmed through the statistical programs SPSS25.0 and AMOS25.0. The resource attractiveness of the tourist destination had a positive (+) relationship with the influence on the tourists' experience. The relationship between the experience and the love mark had a positive (+) relationship. A positive (+) relationship was also formed in the relationship between experience and attachment. However, the relationship between love mark and attachment did not form a significant relationship.Because it reflects regional characteristics, it is a useful material for local culture and history, so protection, preservation, and active program development are required. is needed.
