  • A tourist destination where nature and people coexist is needed for today's tourists who crave for various new experiences and attractions. In this respect, Slow city has its attractiveness as a good tourist destination and its potentials are being verified. The purpose of this study is to identify selection attributes of slow city which influence the perception of tourism professionals and finally to figure out its growth potential as a tourism destination. This study approaches and considers tourism industry worker's perception about slow city which previous studies have not been discussed. We examined that travel and tourism employees working on the tourism industry frontline, planning travel goods, providing information on tourist destinations, are less aware than the general public about slow city as a tourism destination.

  • Based on the number of employees and sales of tourism establishments in Chungnam ares for the period from 2009 to 2013, this study analyzes the regional growth characteristic of tourism industry using dynamic shift-share analysis. The data used for this analysis are obtained from "The Census on Basic Characteristic of Tourism Establishments". This study decomposes characteristics of Chungnam Area tourism industrial structure into three components: national growth effect, industrial mix effect and regional share effect. The results help to well understand the development and the competitive situation of Chungnam area tourism industry.

제주도 내 관광객 증가에 따른 서비스업 종사자의 근골격계 질환 발생현황

  • 제주도 내 관광객수는 최근 5년간 꾸준히 증가했으며 2012년 12월을 기준으로 960만명을 돌파하였다. 서비스업의 전체 사업장 및 근로자 역시 최근 5년간 증가하였으며 서비스업 종사자의 경우 전체 근로자 173,996명의 47%를 차지하고 있다. 업무상질병자 중 근골격계질환자 수는 전체의 90%를 차지하고 있으며(2012년 12월 기준) 근로자의 신규유입이 적고 노령근로자가 많은 점을 감안하였을 때 업무상 질병 발생율은 향후 증가할 것으로 예상된다. 본 연구는 제주도 내 관광객 수 증가에 따른 서비스업 종사자의 근골격계질환 발생현황 분석으로 향후 제주도 내 발생되는 근골격계질환의 예방에 기여하고자 한다.

Convergence Study on the Moderating Effects of Ego-resilience on the relationship between Jobscape and Psychological Welfare of the Employees in Tourism Industry (관광업체 종사자의 잡스케이프(jobscape)와 심리적 복지감의 관계에서 자아탄력성의 조절효과에 관한 융합연구)

  • This research was psychological convergence research for job satisfaction improvement of emotional worker, and verified the effects of jobscape on psychological welfare and moderating effects of ego-resilience through the relation between jobscape and psychological welfare. Research hypothesis was verified by SPSS 20.0 program based on surveys from workers in travel agency in Seoul. As a result, jobscape that includes physical, emotional and social environment has a positive effect on psychological well-being and has a negative effect on psychological burnout. Moreover, ego-resilience plays a moderating role in relation among these factors. Based on the result, this study suggests that jobscape is an important factor in psychological welfare of the employees in tourism industry and emphasizes the importance of role of the employees' ego-resilience by revealing ego-resilience as an important moderating variable.

A Study on the Specific Character of Tourist-commercial District around Gosu - Cave (고수동굴 주변 관광상업지역의 특성)

  • 고수동굴이 1973년의 종합학술조사 이래 관광지로서 개발된 이후에 동굴 주변의 상업지역이 어떤 특성을 갖고 있는가를 살피는 것이 본 연구의 목적이었다. 이를 위해 1996년 6월 11일 고수동굴 주변의 상점 46개의 경영주를 대상으로 설문조사를 실시하였다. 그 결과는 다음과 같이 요약될 수 있다. 첫째, 전체 상점 중 절반 이상을 차지하는 25개 업소들이 80년대에 개업하였고 90년 이후에 19개 업소가 상점을 개설했다. 둘째, 상점 경영 동기로는 고수동굴을 찾는 관광객이 많아 수익성이 높을 것으로 예상되어 상점을 개점했다는 경우가 절반 정도(47.8%)에 해당하고, 내 고향 자랑과 지역발전의 일환으로 개점한 경우와 관광사업 발전을 위해 개점한 경우가 20% 내외였다. 셋째, 고수동굴 주변 상점의 경영주들은 일반사업을 하다가 전직한 경우가 가장 많았고, 관광사업, 오락장 등을 포함하면 상업 종사자들이 전체의 48% 정도에 해당하여 상업관련 종사자들의 전업이 가장 많았다. 넷째, 상점의 규모는 90년대에 개업한 상점일수록 규모가 커지고 있고, 이것은 경영주를 제외한 종업원의 운영과도 관계가 있어 상점 규모가 클수록 종업원이 더 필요한 것으로 나타났다. 다섯째, 경영주의 학력은 고졸 이상의 고학력자들이 상점을 운영하는 경우가 많아지고 있어, 고수동굴만의 특성을 나타낼 것으로 기대된다. 여섯째, 상점의 업종을 구분한 결과 기념품점과 식당이 각각 37.0%, 34.8%로 많은 비중을 차지하고 있지만, 고수동굴이 다른 관광명소와 색다른 특성이 없어 관광객들의 구매욕구를 완전히 충족시키지 못하고 있다. 마지막으로, 대부분의 상점들(80.4%)이 일자리와 주거를 구분하고 있는 것으로 조사되었으나, 아직까지 절반 가량(52.2%)의 상점들이 다른 사람 소유의 건물을 전 ·월세로 임대하여 사용하고 있음을 알 수 있었다. 이상에서 살펴본 바와 같이 고수동굴 주변의 상업적 특성은 90년대에 들어서면서 자기 고장에 있는 관광자원을 내 고향의 자랑거리로 생각하고 이를 지역발전의 밑거름으로 활용하고자 하는 인식이 늘어나고 있음을 알 수 있었다. 그러나, 관광지로서의 특성이라 할 수 있는 다른 관광동굴과의 차별성이 부족하다고 할 수 있다. 즉 다른 지역의 기념품점에서 구입할 수 없는 고수동굴만이 갖고 있는 특징적인 기념품을 판매함으로써 관광객의 구매욕구를 높인다거나 고수동굴의 일주관광 후 관광객을 좀 더 머무르게 할 수 있는 시설의 개발이 더 필요하다.

Mediating Effect of Job Involvement and Job Satisfaction on the Relationship between Service Orientation and Turnover Intention of Medical Service Employees (의료관광 서비스 종사자들의 서비스지향성과 이직의도의 관계에서의 직무몰입과 직무만족의 매개효과)

  • Medical tourism has been regarded as one of the most lucrative tourism sector for many destinations, particularly Asian countries. Medical tourism, combining the very polarized purposes of pleasurable travel and potentially stressful health care services, is an emergent and growing business worldwide. This study empirically examined the mediating effect on the relationship between service orientation and turnover intention of medical tourism employees, sampling nurses. The empirical results demonstrated: 1) service orientation had a direct negative influence on turnover intention; 2) the relationship between service orientation and turnover intention was mediated by job involvement; and 3) the relationship between service orientation and turnover intention was mediated by job satisfaction. These results can contribute to the medical tourism field by managers a valid and reliable indications for developing successful strategies in the medical tourism sector.

  • The purpose of this study is to activate tourism industry in Sorak area where faces crisis arising from environmental change. To achieve its' purpose, this study investigated operational problem concerning about development of tourism in Sorak area and politic problem concerning about tourism resource in order to devise activation of regional economy through its effective conservation and development. and at same time, compared difference of perception between tourist and worker of tourism empirically in aspect of product, service, public marketing in order to activate regional tourism industry through effective development of tourism resource. Finally, this study also suggested countermeasure suitable for the above stated. As seeing above results, this study contributes to promote tourism in Sorak area by developing tourism resource in vein of localization age which means local area can be center of the world in consideration of globalization age without national boundary. Conclusively, it can be said that segmentation of tourism market based on tourist's interest needs to be accomplished through connection between regional limitation and academic research with making use of advantage of abundant tourism resource in Sorak area. what is more, supplement of attention. to improvement of service quality can cause more positive effect.

  • This study investigates the factors of job stress from working environment of employees' in the IT relative industry and explore its effects on both job involvement and affective commitment. 15 companies and individuals(IT freelancers) working in Seoul and Gyeonggi Provence were chosen for this study. Data were collected for 4 weeks from May 27 to June 28, 2019. A total of 400 employees' were attended in this research and finally 352 samples were used for the empirical analysis. The result of this study showed that 'role ambiguity' factor and 'role conflict' factor among the job stress factors influence on job involvement. Moreover, all factors(overload, role ambiguity, role conflict) among job stress influence on affective commitment.

  • The tourism police force has been established on 16th October 2013 for foreign tourists' safety and security. The major roles of tourism police officers were provided a crime prevention patrol and maintenance of order in tourist destination, a clampdown on illegal activities for foreign tourists, a controlling for overcharging of restaurants accommodations taxi, an administrative guidance and controls on tourism industry and worker in union relative organ like the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism local government. However, the roles of tourism police officers overlap the work of general police officers and work of tourism police officers need a cooperative business with relative organs. It is caused a role ambiguity conflict between tourism police officers and general police officers. The object of this study is to improve the tourism police system through investigate a perceived gap of role ambiguity conflict between tourism police officers and general police officers and influencing relationship of role ambiguity conflict between job Satisfaction and job Performance.

Research on the Destination Selection Attributes among Japanese Tourists using IPA (일본관광객의 한국관광지 선택속성의 중요도-성취도 분석)

  • This research aims to provide fundamental data for tourism policy to attract Japanese tourists to Korea. Using Japanese tourists, this study estimated how much they thought destination selection attributes are important and how much these attributes were performed. Also, this study analyzed the ranking among each selection attributes using paired sample T-test. The results show "concentrate here" part is cleanliness and hygiene, employee's service, convenience of transport and scenery. This means that these attributes are very important but they indicate low performance. Concentration among tourism managers should be focused along these attributes.
