International Comparative Study on the Science Curriculum Concepts Continuity - Focus on the Concepts of Moon and Rock cycle - (과학과 교육과정에 제시된 개념의 연계성에 대한 국제 비교 연구 - 달과 암석의 순환 개념을 중심으로)

  • The purpose of this study is to derive suggestions and implications to strengthen the science curriculum continuity of Korea through comparative analysis with focus on the continuity of science curriculum in six countries (Taiwan, the United Kingdom, Finland, the United States, Canada, Korea). Original and Korean translations of the national curriculums of each country gathered from NCIC comparatively analyzed the contents of the 'Moon' and 'Rock cycle' based on features of curriculum configuration, vertical, and lateral connectivity. As a result, it was found that the concepts of Big Ideas or Cross-cutting Concept was utilized internationally to strengthen the linkage between grades or subjects. In particular, dealing with the aspect of the system was important. In the comparison of countries for the content, Korea deals with the most frequency on the 'Moon' and 'Rock cycle'. The contents of the chapter about the moon were simply repeated from elementary to high school levels with some variation. Korean science curriculum holds different perspectives and contents about the Rock cycle compared to other countries. In conclusion, Korea's curriculum requires appropriate tools to strengthen curriculum linkage and by doing so, it will be able to take advantage of the systems approach. Moreover, it is important to constitute the curriculum based on a sufficient understanding of the learning development of students according to their grade levels for the effective application of the curriculum.

  • 오늘날은 과학문명의 발달로 인하여 기존지식의 수명이 점차 짧아져 가고있는 것이 특징이다. 지식의 증가는 단순히 지식의 양을 증가시키는 역할뿐 아니라 많은 기존지식을 불충분하고 쓸모 없는 것으로 바꿔버리게 한다. 그러므로 학교에서는 학생들에게 어떤 특정지식의 축척보다는 그 학문에 내재해 있는 기본적인 지식의 구조를 학습하게 하여 여러 가지 개념을 관련시키는 논리적 방법을 학습하게 하고 합리적인 탐구방법을 구사할 수 있도록 하여 변화하는 미지의 세계에 대처해 나갈 수 있도록 하는 것이 중요하다. 본 연구는 간호학의 기본 지식구조를 확인하는데 그 목적이 있다. 본 연구를 하게 된 동기는 간호업무의 근거로 활용도리 지식체계는 교육과정의 조직원리로 작용될 유형이나 구조를 지니고 있으며 이런 유형이나 구조를 중심으로 간호교육과정을 구성하는 것이 간호교육에 필수적이라는 문제에서 비롯되었다. 연구방법은 1982년 9월부터 1983년 5월에 걸쳐 간호학 문헌을 체계적으로 분석하여 간호학의 개념적 지식구조와 구문적 지식구조를 확인하였다. 그 결과 얻어진 결론은 다음과 같다. 1. 간호학의 개념적 구조: 모든 학문에는 탐구의 대상인 특수현상을 설명하고 서술하는데 활용되는 일련의 실질적, 개념적 구조를 가지고 있다. 그러나 그 학문의 중요한 부분 또는 중심을 포함하고 있는 개념들이 그 분야 또는 학문의 개략이라고 할 수 있는데 연구결과 간호학에서 가장 높은 순위의 대표적 특질을 지닌 개념은 인간, 건강, 환자/대상자, 간호, 행동으로 분석되었다. 2. 간호학의 구문적 지식구조 : 지식구조의 두 번째 요소인 학문의 구문(syntax)은 간호학에서의 특징적인 탐구방법과 관련되나 개념적 구조와 마찬가지로 탐구방법은 학문에 따라 다르며 그 분야의 주요양상을 나타낸다. 연구결과 간호학에서의 특징적인 탐구방법은 공동적으로 간호과정(nursing process)임이 나타났으며 그 요인으로는 사정, 진단, 계획, 수행, 평가의 다섯 단계로 분석되었다.

  • Differentiation with integration is an important subject which is widely applied in mathematics, natural science, and engineering. Derivative is an important concept of differentiation. But students don't understand its concept well and concentrate on acquiring only the skill to solve the standardized calculus problem. So they are poor at understanding of the concept of differentiation. In this study, after making a survey of differentiation on college students, we try to analyze errors which appeared in solving differentiation problem and investigate mathematics process of limiting process inherent in the derivative and historical development about derivative. Thus, we try to analyze the understanding of differentiation and present the results about this.

The Relationship between Elementary School Student's Judo Gym Training Program and Life Satisfaction: The Mediation Effect of Social Development (초등학생에 대한 유도체육관 프로그램 특성과 생활만족의 관계: 사회성 발달의 매개효과)

  • This purpose of study was to influence of elementary school student's Judo gym training program on social development and life satisfaction. This study aims at providing fundamental data and information on Judo participants by studying what effects of training program characteristic on social development and life satisfaction. The survey was done through 300 copies and excluding 15 copies ran an analysis on the remaining 285(90%) copies. After question investigating the data which is collected used IBM SPSS statistics 21 and IBM AMOS 21 program, frequency analysis, Exploratory factor analysis and confirmatory factor analysis, convergent validity, discriminant validity, Cronbach's ${\alpha}$, correlation analysis, path analysis through Structural Equation Model(SEM), mediation effect analysis by Sobel test. The result of this study were as follows. First, elementary school student's Judo gym training program showed (+) effects on social development. Second, elementary school student's Judo gym training program had no effects on life satisfaction. Third, social development showed (+) effects on life satisfaction. Forth, social development showed complete mediation effect on elementary school student's Judo gym training program and life satisfaction.

  • 필자는 메이서와 레이서에 대하여 되돌고이면 평이하게 정성적으로 기술하려고 한다. "Maser"란 말은 Microwave Amplification by Stimulated Emission of Radiation. 또 "Laser"란 Light Amplification by Stimulated Emission of Radiation의 약자이다. 이 메이서나 레이서는 진공관 원리에서 사용되는 자유전자대신 원자의 구속전자를 사용하여 에너지를 발생하든가 증폭작용을 하고 있다. 자극방사 (Stimulated emission)란 말은 원자에서 에너지 방사가 있기 위해서는 구속전자에 자극을 줘야하기 때문에 생긴 것이다. microwave란 말을 붙인 것은 전자에너지중 이 주파수범위내에 해당되는것에만 이용된다는 것이고 이와 마찬가지로 광(light)은 전자복사중 이 빛의 파장범위에서 작용된다는 것을 말한다. 따라서 이 메이서나 레이서는 매우 높은 주파수 범위에서 사용되는 에너지 발생장치 또는 증폭기라고 생각할 수 있다. 이 메이서나 레이서의 동작원리는 진공관증폭기의 동작원리와 다르므로 따라서 그 동작원리를 이해하려면 새로운 개념이 필요하게된다. 과학기술의 발달과 함께 과거의 전자기긱의 성능은 그 한계에 도달하게 되었고 통신, 천문학, 의학, 산업, 과학연구분야등에서 이 메이서와 레이서는 새로운 기회와 가능성을 제시해주고 있다.운 기회와 가능성을 제시해주고 있다.

A Study on the Development of Water Displacement Conception of Korean Children (아동의 배수량 개념 발달에 관한 연구)

  • The aims of this study are to find the evel of the conception of 'Water Displacement', and to suggest some educational impications from the findings of the study. The result are as follows; Firstly, About 20% of 12 year children among the subjects of this study are aware of the conception of Water Displacement' which is lower than the finding of the study conducted by J. Piaget and Elkind. Secondarly. Most of the subjects in this study are in the transitional level, so this finding suggests that curricular developers should provide the material needed for the educational activities to make children develop the conception of 'Water Displacement'.

  • 최근 인터넷의 발달로 디지털 콘텐츠 및 UCC(User Created Contents) 산업이 발전하고 있다. 그러나 이로 인한 부작용도 많이 발생한다. 대표적인 문제는 디지털 콘텐츠의 무단 불법복제나 무료배포행위 이다. 이는 디지털 콘텐츠 산업의 성장과 UCC 제작자의 창작의지 를 저해하여 웹 2.0 시대의 중심인 양질의 콘텐츠 생산을 방해한다. 본 논문에서는 위의 문제를 해결하기 위하여 멀티미디어 콘텐츠의 경매 시스템 과 경매 프로세스를 제시하였다. 본 논문에서는 멀티미디어 콘텐츠에 중고의 개념을 도입하였다. 특히, 모바일 상에서 경매가 가능하도록 새로운 시스템 구조를 제안하고, 멀티미디어 콘텐츠의 경매거래 프로세스를 새롭게 제안하였다. 시스템의 성능 분석 결과 주요 경매프로세스는 성능 분석 과정을 통하여 ${\Theta}$(logN) 의 정수 배(m)의 시간을 사용하는 알고리즘임을 소개하고 사용자나 콘텐츠의 양이 폭발적으로 증가하는 경우에도 시스템의 성능에 크게 영향을 받지 않는다는 것을 보인다.

A Case Study of the PCK of Middle School Science Teachers on the Mendelian Genetics (멘델 유전에 대한 중학교 과학교사의 PCK 사례 연구)

  • This study was intended to determine PCK of the middle school science teachers on Mendelian genetics and factors influenced to form their PCKs. Two science teachers with biology major with a teaching experience over 5 years were chosen as the subject. Data were collected by class observation, semi-structured interview, teacher questionnaire survey, Content Representation and Pedagogical and Professional-experience Repertoire. The collected data were analyzed based on Magnusson's PCK for science teaching consisting of five components: (a) the orientation toward teaching science, (b) the knowledge of science curriculum, (c) the knowledge of students' understanding, (d) the knowledge of assessment, and (e) the knowledge and belief in the instructional strategies to teach science. Teachers could have the orientation toward teaching science served as an assisting role to support students' abilities. Both subject teachers seemed to focus on giving lectures. Their efforts to improve students' exploration methods and abilities were not expressed enough in their real classes and they found that students struggled to understand Mendelian genetics. Therefore, they should have explained them in an easier way and worked harder to make their students understood accurately and applied basic and advanced concepts of Mendelian genetics. They found students' preconception and misconception regarding Mendelian genetics and wished to enhance their learning effects by various teaching strategies such as correcting misconception, adding the history of science and simply assessing students' affirmative domains. It was also found that factors influenced to form PCK regarding Mendelian genetics by both teachers were as follows: teacher's personality and endeavor, textbooks and guidance books, schools and their circumstances, teaching experience, experience as a learner, interaction with their colleagues, and university curriculum. Both teachers said that it was important for teachers to make every efforts to give better classes.

Concept and Theoretical Issues of Conservation of Cultural Heritage (문화유산(文化遺産) 보존(保存)의 개념(槪念)과 보존(保存) 이론(理論))

  • Koreans began to undertake the conservation of their art and architectural artifacts approximately fifty years ago after modern concept of conservation were introduced by japanese during the Japanese Colonial Period(1910-1945). But still the modern concept of conservation is not clear to many Korean conservators because they have been concerned about conservation techniques to recover the original from of the remains be destroyed. Also, Korean conservation practice has neglected the philosophical issues and ethics of conservation. So, in this article, I described various terms referring to 'conservation' which have been used in western countries, Japan, China, and Korea, and compared their similarities and differences to have more clear idea on the modern concept of conservation. In the next chapter, I summarized several theoretical issues which had been discussed among western conservators over the centuries. Specially, I described closely the modern issues and ethics which have been presented in the twentieth century. As many conservation projects in Korea have resulted unsatisfactorily or been suspended altogether, because lacking a coherent theoretical dialogue on conservation and discussing an ethical issues of conservation. Therefore, I believe that more vigorous dialogue on these issues in Korea may lead conservators to consider their tasks in a more productive light, and the Korean artifacts may preserve well.
