  • Airplane noise become a serious problem today. Using the noise patterns at KIMPO and CHEJU INTERNATIONAL AIRPORTS, the impact area of noise for the newly planned international airport was predicted. Contours for noise level were made by a plotter based on WECPNL estimated by a computer program with basic noise data for FAA requirement. The result was also compared with the noise control level abroad.

  • 현재까지 공항에서의 체크인 시스템은 기본적으로 서버-클라이언트(Server-Client)방식으로 구동되어져왔다. 서버-클라이언트 방식에서 서버는 단일실패지점이기 때문에 천재지변이나 공격자에 의해 서버마비와 같은 문제가 생기면 체크인 시스템 전체가 마비될 수 있다. 뿐만 아니라 실제 해커에 의해 항공사 중앙 서버가 공격을 받게 되면, 서버가 관리하는 항공사 데이터들의 무결성이 훼손될 수도 있다. 따라서 단일 실패지점에 대한 위협을 제거함과 동시에 저장된 데이터들의 무결성을 유지하는 방법을 논의할 필요가 있다. 그 중 하나로 블록체인 기술을 이용한 탈중앙화 시스템(Decentralized System) 모델을 적용하는 방법이 있다. 본 논문에서는 스마트 계약을 이용한 블록체인 기반 공항 체크인 시스템에 대한 모델을 제안한다.

  • ccording to the airport railroad linkage facility expansion project constructing a connecting line to the airport railway and improving the signal system and Gyeongui Susaek Station, a high-speed train is able to run directly from Gyeongbu and Honam to the airport railway. According to mixed operation of high-speed Korea Train Express (KTX) and Airport Railroad Express (AREX) trains, to establish ERTMS/ETCS L1 ATP to operate the KTX train, the signaling system of the AREX train is the same as the existing ATC/ATO, but its operation became impossible because the high-speed train causes mutual interference between the "high-speed train (KTX) and AREX ground signaling equipment" and between the "AREX train and KTX (high-speed train) ATP ground equipment." Thus, it was necessary to have a supplemental technical interference analysis comparing the characteristics of the AREX beacon and the KTX balise. So, we resolve the problems of mutual interference between the "high-speed train (KTX) and AREX ground signaling equipment" and between the "AREX train and KTX (high-speed train) ATP ground equipment" with a test using an actual train, and we confirm the technical validity with three types of test module.

A development of an Optimization-Based Flight Scheduler and Its Simulation-Based Application to Real Airports (최적화 기법 기반의 항공기 스케줄러 개발 및 실제 공항의 수치적 모사)

  • Several problems caused by inevitable increment of airplane have been issued. The most effective solution to solve the issues is considered as establishing appropriate Air Traffic Management (ATM) that reduces aircraft's delay at an airport and intensify the airport's capacity. The purpose of this paper is to produce the optimum aircraft schedules that maximize the aircraft throughput by smooth air traffic flow near terminal area of an airport In this paper, mathematical formulations of the scheduling problem are firstly specified. Based on the mathematical modelling, an Optimization-Based Flight Scheduler that provides the optimum flight schedules for arriving aircraft is developed by introducing the Mixed Integer Linear Programming(MILP) and the Genetic Algorithms(GA). With this scheduler, we calculated the optimum schedules to compare to real schedule data from an Incheon Airport. As a result, it is validated that aircraft throughput produced by the optimum schedule is much better than that of the schedule from the Incheon airport. The optimization-based flight scheduler is expected to deal with problems due to the aircraft saturation in near future.

  • Digital signage provides flight and airport information to the airport visitors and passengers. However, the digital signage has efficiency problem by displaying one type of advertisement to every customers regardless of their personality. We may solvel the inefficiency problem by using a smart digital signage which can recognize the characteristics of the customer We presents a smart digital signage with sex recognition function. The smart digital signage can recognize the sex of the customer to display the custom-made advertisement in realtime so that we can increase the satisfaction level of the airport passengers and visitors.

  • As the size of the airport terminal grows in line with the rapid growth of aviation passengers, the advanced baggage handling system that combines various data technologies has become an essential element in order to handle the baggage carried by passengers swiftly and accurately. Therefore, this study introduces the method of analyzing the baggage handling capacity of domestic airports through the latest data analysis methodology from the process point of view to advance the operation of the airport BHS and the main points based on event log data. By presenting an accurate load prediction method, it can lead to advanced BHS operation strategies in the future, such as the preemptive arrangement of resources and optimization of flight-carrousel scheduling. The data used in the analysis utilized the APIs that can be obtained by searching for "Korea Airports Corporation" in the public data portal. As a result of applying the method to the domestic airport BHS simulation model, it was possible to confirm a high level of predictive performance.

  • Recently a system is being required to replace ILS due to increasing air traffic. In this paper, Curved approach is applied to an airport where ILS approach cannot be applied due to its geographical condition and restricted aerospace condition, and verified by flight test. After analysing conditions of Tae-an airfield of Hanseo University with virtual ILS approach, airfield applicability was evaluated by Curved approach using by GPS. Normally simulation is performed after establishing approach procedure using electric map, but recently verification is being performed by flight test without simulation because accuracy and reliability are increased. In this paper, established procedure is verified modified by flight test with Pilot Test and Auto Pilot test and controllability and passenger's stability were also checked.

A Study on the ICAO Conflict Zone Information Repository (ICAO 분쟁지역 운항위험정보 공유시스템의 현황과 문제점)

  • 2014.7.17. 암스테르담의 스키폴공항을 출발하여 쿠알라룸푸르공항으로 향하던 말레이시아항공 B777 항공기가 우크라이나의 도네츠크(Donetsk) 동쪽 약 60킬로미터 지점 상공에서 추락한 사고에 관련하여 ICAO가 유사사고를 방지하기 위한 노력의 일환으로 인터넷 웹에 기반을 둔 분쟁지역 운항위험정보 공유시스템(Conflict Zone Information Repository)을 개발하여 2015.4.2.부터 운영하고 있으나, 이 시스템에 현재까지 수록된 12개국의 42개 운항위험정보 중 10개에 대하여 당사국(운항위험 존재국)이 반대하는 것으로 나타나고 있어 이 시스템을 이용하는 국가들의 판단에 혼란이 생길 수 있는 것으로 분석되었으며, 이 문제 해소를 위해서는 ICAO가 국가들 간에 운항안전에 대한 관념의 차이가 발생하지 않도록 모든 국가들이 공감할 수 있는 판단기준을 수립하거나 또는 다른 적절한 대책을 수립할 필요가 있다.
