Implementation of an analog front-end for electroencephalogram signal processing (뇌전도 신호 처리용 아날로그 전단부 구현)

  • This paper presents an analog front-end for electroencephalogram(EEG) signal processing. Since EEG signals are typically weak and located at very low frequencies, it is imperative to implement an amplifier with high gain, high common-mode rejection ratio(CMRR) and good noise immunity at very low frequencies. The analog front-end of this paper consists of a programmable-gain instrumentation amplifier and a band-pass filter. A frequency chopping technique is employed to remove the low-frequency noise. The circuits were fabricated in 0.18um CMOS technology and measurements showed that the analog front-end has the maximum gain of 60dB and >100dB CMRR over the programmable gain range.

  • According to development of media, various information is recorded in media, expression is one during interesting information. Because expression includes of relationship of human inside. Intention of inside is expressed by gesture, but expression has more information. And, expression can manufacture voluntarily, include plan of inside on the man. Also, expression has unique character in a person, have alliance that do division possibility. In this paper, to analyze expression of USB camera animation, wish to detect facial building block. Because characteristic point by person's expression change exists on face component. For component detection, in animation one frame with Capture, grasp facial position, and separate face area, and detect characteristic points of face component.

  • A nomenclature method for Korean fermented foods was developed in order to apply this to the international nomenclature system for fermented foods. It is made by a four digit number; the first digit indicates the major ingredient used, the second for fermentation method, the third for major type of microorganism, and the last digit for the type of consumption. Following the nomenclature number, a detailed description of product is given. Examples of application of the nomenclature system to Korean fermented foods are shown.

Computation of Reusable Points in Incremental LL(1) Parsing (점진적 LL(1) 구문분석에서의 재사용 시점의 계산)

  • Incremental parsing has been developed to reuse the parse result of the original string during the parsing of a new string. The previous incremental LL(1) parsing methods precomputed the reusable point information before parsing and used it during parsing. This paper proposes an efficient reusable point computation by factoring the common part of the computation. The common symbol storing method and the distance storing method were previously suggested to find the reusable point, and by combining the methods, this paper gives the storing method of the distance to common symbols. Based on it, an efficient incremental LL(1) parser is constructed.

  • Unlike conventional optical coherence tomography systems based on Michelson interferometer, we suggest a common-path OCT system, which does not include a separated configuration between reference signal and sample signal. We optimize the refractive index of partial reflecting probe to induce a balanced intensity of the reference signal. At the end of the probe, convex lens was optimally fabricated to get images of biological samples in the position of focus. Using the experimental system, we could get 2-D images of various biological samples.

  • In this paper, we show that supervisory control theory of discrete event systems can be applied to analyze the problem of power in political economy. For this purpose, we introduce the decision mechanism of control inputs based on power, and the consequent behavior of a supervised system. Specifically, this paper presents the notion of power-controllability as a necessary and sufficient condition to achieve a common control objective of competing groups (local controllers). If the power-controllability is met, a modular system controlled by local controllers with power functions is not deviated from a common control objective of them.

  • Broadband noise with frequency components in the range from several kHz up to tens of MHz is widespread in the AC power line. Noise filter or surge suppressor, often used to suppress the conducted noise, have a poor performance in reducing the common-mode. In this paper, we proposed a lumped-circuit analysis model for Noise Cut Transformer(NCT) which can be used to suppress both the common mode and normal-mode noise. The simulations with our model show a good agreement with experimental results. It has been also shown that our NCT is superior to noise filter and general isolation transformer in reducing the conducted noise.

  • A distortion suppression technology for employing multiple inputs in 3n+1 type current mode Max circuit is proposed using the adjustment of transconductance. If the number of input blocks of the current mode Max circuit increases, the high frequency distortion in the output signal grows. In this paper, it has been disclosed that the distortion in the multiple input Max circuit is proportional to such accumulated parasitic capacitance, to the derivative of the output signal and also to tile inverse of transconductance of the common diode-connected transistor. The proposed idea is by employing as larger transconductance of the common diode-connected transistor as possible. The effectiveness of the proposed idea has been proved through the HSPICE simulation for the current mode Max circuits with various numbers of input signals.

  • This paper proposes a 401MHz-406MHz low noise amplifier for MedRadio applications. The proposed low noise amplifier adopts a common gate amplifier topology using current reuse gm-boosting technique. The proposed low noise amplifier shows better performance of voltage gain and noise figure than the conventional gm-boosted common gate amplifier in the same power consumption. The proposed current-reuse gm-boosted low noise amplifier achieves a voltage gain of 22 dB, a noise figure of 2.95 dB, and IIP3 of -17 dBm while consuming $170{\mu}W$ from a 0.5 V supply voltage in $0.13{\mu}m$ CMOS process.

  • 양방향 스위치를 가지는 Bridgeless PFC 컨버터(BBPFC)는 구조상 복잡한 플로팅 게이트 드라이버를 활용함에도 불구하고 좋은 공통모드 잡음 즉, Common-Mode (CM) 노이즈 특성과 간단한 제어 방법으로 인해 많은 브리지리스 PFC 컨버터 중에서도 고전력 응용분야에서 매우 매력적인 토폴로지이다. 이러한 BBPFC는 도통 경로 상에 위치한 정류 다이오드의 역회복 특성의 상대적인 편차를 활용하여 전력 밀도를 감소시키지 않고도 좋은 공통모드 (CM) 노이즈 특성의 확보가 가능하다. 하지만 이러한 장점을 가지는 BBPFC 구조를 고전력 서버용 전원장치분야에서 활용할 경우, 이미 등록된 특허로 인해 매우 높은 개런티를 지불해야 하므로 그 활용이 매우 제한적이다. 따라서, 본 논문에서는 이미 등록된 특허를 회피하고, 동시에 기존 BBPFC 회로가 가지는 단점인 플로팅 게이트 드라이버를 활용하는 단점을 개선하는 새로운 형태의 브리지리스 PFC 컨버터를 제안한다. 제안된 컨버터는 기존 BBPFC가 가지는 장점인 좋은 (CM) 노이즈 특성을 가지며, 동시에 높은 효율을 달성 할 수 있다. 또한 제안된 컨버터의 경우, 복잡한 플로팅 형태의 게이트 드라이버 회로가 아닌 간단한 부트스트랩 회로를 활용하여 회로를 운용할 수 있다. 더불어 제안된 컨버터는 입력의 양과 음의 주기에서 단 하나의 스위치를 사용하여 회로를 구동할 수 있기 때문에 기존회로 대비 적은 손실을 가져 높은 효율의 획득이 가능하다. 본 논문에서는 제안된 구조에 대해 하이라인 $230V_{RMS}$ 입력과 800W / 400V 출력의 조건을 적용하여 제안하는 구조의 효용성을 검증하고자 한다.
