  • A semiotic approach to modem visual arts has emerged since French post-structuralism was introduced to Anglo -American academics by "deconstruction" or "postmodemi sm." It views a work of art as a sign, which is its math odical assumption and, at the same time, makes its appli cation more accessible. In the milieu of modem visual arts' effort to be intimate with general audience, modem art photography is now fared with the request to be a familar and universal domain, instead of being left only in photo books as artistic and academic achievements. More specifically, various photo images puter graphics to such megaexhibitions as "Gwangju Biennale,. "Media City Seo ul," and "Pusan International Art Festival," are main objects of study. A coherent and scientific analysis of visual semitotics is still on the way, however, it is an urgent task how to read and interpret a photo image with multiple meanings. This study argues that visual seniotics can be a powerful tool to enhance the understanding of art photography. After all, seniotics is a product of age; we live in the age of legibility, that is, of reading the work of art well as the social events and phenomena. art well as the social events and phenomena.

  • In order to actualize the third dimension form, hologram is coming to attention because it has no restriction on viewing position and is capable of natural visual expression. Although hologram technology is the best method to embody 3D image without glasses, it is not commercialized due to several technological problems. Currently used hologram technology in concerts or exhibitions are images flashed on a 2-dimensional transparent screen by HD projectors which is similar to hologram technology, not truly same. In this research, we make 3D contents for Holographic projection and use these contents to present art that can interact with spectators. As a result of the exhibition, attendance showed satisfaction on inspection form, allowing spectators to move around the screen and view it both sides; moreover, they were enterprising to interact with the videos played according to their movements. Therefore, we are able to implement a sensible and spatio-temporal artwork along with interesting space production and represent a intimate and interactive space with the public.

  • Dance studies inherently have a nature of convergence and integration. Meanwhile, dance studies have extended their realm by investigating dance phenomena from many perspectives which art theories cannot explain. However, the previous and current dance studies are inadequate to explain a confluence society which is characterized as techuim, Interaction, freedom and openness according to the digital revolution. Hence, a result of research trend in domestic dance studies, it is found that dance studies have been studied in four perspectives since the early 2000s: first, a triggering the various studiesa of the convergent and integrative dance; second, an attempt to the convergent and integrative program development research; third, the vitalization of the convergent research on dance digital contents; and fourth, a research on the convergent dance art phenomena. These researches have played an important role in boosting a change in the structure and realm expansion of dance studies that are interdisciplinary research enabling a holistic approach to the integration and convergence between scientific technique, skills of dance art and other studies. However, it should be acknowledged that one problem is the current research development plan or/and research program have very little feasibility and practicality except an interdisciplinary research on the dance digital contents. Therefore, it is suggested for the development of dance studies in the age of convergence as follows: first, a dance convergent study integrated in skills and theories of dance and science that would pave the way for an academic foundation leading to a new humanistic model in the age of convergent; and second, a need for a paradigm shift that theories should be deployed in the scene on a commercial scale in order to produce effectiveness of the interdisciplinary and integrative research on dance studies by turning into a behavioristic research phase. third, it needs to changeover from large scale of convergent performance into small scale of convergent performance based on original idea for accumulation of teachnique research and promotion of dance convergent performance.

  • This study aims to study the effect of service quality of lifelong education in culture and arts on educational satisfaction, intention to continuous use and performance. The service quality of culture and art lifelong education was divided into three dimensions: education quality, administrative quality, and environmental quality. As detailed factors related to quality, six variables were set based on SERVQUAL: convenience, expertise, responsiveness, supportability, empathy, and tangibility. For this study, data were collected from 310 people taking cultural arts lectures at lifelong educational institutions in Seoul, Daegu, and Gumi. Since it was only for lectures related to culture and arts, a total of 256 materials were used for the study, excluding inappropriate materials. A structured questionnaire was used as a data collection method, and a structural model analysis was conducted to verify the hypothesis. As a result of this study, responsiveness among the service quality factors of lifelong education for culture and arts was rejected. In addition, the higher the satisfaction with the culture and art lifelong education institution, the higher the performance and the intention to continue using it. The theoretical and practical implications of this study result were discussed, and future research tasks were presented.

  • A series of recent events have laid the groundwork for discussions on the safety issues regarding production staff in the popular culture industry. In Korea, the standard contract has been pursued as a means of dealing with issues involving popular culture production staff. However, the existing standard contract failed to incorporate the characteristics and requirements in today's market, which greatly restricted its efficacy in real-world cases. Therefore, this study seeks to significantly improve the provisions in the standard contract that govern obligations between contractual parties, and the work safety of the production staff. To this end, considering the main causes of safety accidents and actual contracts, this study groups contractual provisions into several categories: the removal of adverse factors affecting optimal competency, factors causing individual staff's negligence, and external factors causing negligence. Then, this study proposes specific provisions to be included in each category.

  • After the pandemic, the world has brought about a society that connects to digital content faster. In the performing arts world, technology is also changing the production environment, content, and format of works. In addition, theatre and performances linked to digital media and virtual reality continue to be actively developed and increased. This paper first diagnoses how theater and acting education are meeting consumers(students) in a time when these changes progress rapidly. In the post-COVID-19 era, a crack began in the traditional method of education. We look at the existing problems of traditional education of theatre and acting in detail and look at the points of change from the changes in the virtual world and digital media environment. In conclusion, post-pandemic theater and acting education needs to shift to a consumer-centered paradigm.
