  • 2008년 2월 10일, 한사람의 잘못된 행동으로 국보1호인 숭례문이 거의 전소되었다. 그렇게 우리의 마음속에서 아픔과 회한을 남긴채 사라져가던 숭례문은 5년여 간의 정교한 고증을 거쳐 화재가 발생하기 전보다 더욱 예전과 비슷한 모습으로 복원되어 지난달 5월 우리품으로 돌아왔다.

A Study of the Historical Reconstruction of the Western Man's Coat in the Early of the 19th Century (19세기 초 서양 남성상의 고증제작 연구)

  • This research aimed to study the making of western men's coats in the early 19th century. First of all, the study figured out the concepts and forms of western men's tops in the early 19th century by collecting and categorizing pictures including engravings, paintings and pattern books, and literature data. Second, this research identified the patterns, sewing, and design techniques by examining the pattern books on men's clothing in the early 19th century, and analyzed the preserved costumes to restore the selected models. Third, this research presented historical evidences and patterns after designing a men's tailcoat of the early $19^{th}$ century and checking the fit based on the analyzed forms and design techniques. The research discovered that the analyzed results between the tailcoat forms depicted in literature, pictures and pattern books and preserved costumes were almost identical. From this, it can be assumed that the tailors followed a manual when designing garments during that time given the similarity between historical records and remaining items. In addition, it can be seen that the forms and designing methods of men's clothing in the 19th century were almost similar to that of the modern menswear, despite the differences in producing process.

A Study on the Historical Research on the Costume of Memorial Service Officials at Yeongwol King Danjong Cultural Festival (단종 제향 복원을 위한 재관(齋官) 복식 고증)

  • A historical research on the costume of memorial service officials during the period of late 18th century, King Jeongjo period, is performed for an accurate reconstruction of the memorial service for King Danjong, which is a part of King Danjong Cultural Festival held at Yeongwol. This paper summarizes the results of the research as follows: 1. Jangneung memorial service is held only on Hansik day and the procedure follows the rule based on Gukjooryeui(國朝五禮儀). The service was first held in 1791 for King Danjong and his royal followers. 2. The rule based on Chunkwantonggo(春官通考), defines the king's tomb memorial services and attendees. King Danjong's memorial service follows the rule regarding its attendees and the attendees include high-ranking local government officials, local confucian scholars, and service men. 3. The costume of attendees for the King Danjong's memorial service is as follows: 1)Dangsangkwan(堂上官) and Danghakwan(堂下官) wear Sangbok(常服), which consisted of Samo(紗帽), Heukdanllyeong(黑團領), Pumdae(品帶), and black boots(黑靴). 2)Local confucian scholars wear their uniform consisting of Yukeon(儒巾), Dopo(道袍), Sejodae, and black boots. 3)Service men wear their uniform consisting of Jeonjakeon(典字巾), red-robe with rounded collar called Hongui(紅衣), Kwangdaw hoe(廣多繪), and Uuhae(雲鞋).

Effects of Silsosangami-extract on Endotoxin-induced Experimental Thrombosis in Rats (실소산가미 및 그 구성약물이 세포내독소로 인한 혈전증 흰쥐에 미치는 영향)

  • 목적: 한의학에서 어혈증으로 야기되는 여러 가지 증상의 개선에 사용되는 실소산가미의 범발성혈관내응고증 및 혈전증에 미치는 영향을 연구하는 것이다. 방법 : 동물은 Wistar-King atrain Rats(150-200g)를 사용하였고, 혈전증은 세포내독소로 유발하였다. 측정은 실소산가미와 각 구성약물들에 대한 혈소판, 섬유소원, 프로트롬빈시간, 섬유소섬유소원분해산물에 미치는 영향을 연구하였다. 결과: 항혈전의 특성에 관한 것은 실소산가미와 구성약물중 포황, 오령지, 적작약, 도인 그리고 울금에서 억제특성이 나타났으며, 또한 실소산가미와 구성약물은 정상쥐에서 범발성혈관내응고증에서 혈소판과 섬유소원의 감소가 억제되었고, 섬유소분해산물의 증가가 억제 되었다. 실험관 실험에서 실소산가미와 구성약물은 트롬빈에 의해 섬유소원에서 섬유소로 전환이 억제되었으며, 플라스미노겐 또는 플라스민의 활성을 억제하였다. 결론: 실소산가미가 세포내독소로 유발된 혈전증에 대한 억제작용을 보이므로, 혈전증으로 야기되는 심혈관계질환등의 치료 및 예방에 응용가능성이 있을 것으로 사료된다.

A Study on the Historical Research of Indigo Clothing Gifts of Early Joseon -Focusing on the Po and Ieom of King Seongjong's Reign- (조선 전기 아청사여복식(鴉靑賜與服飾)의 고증적 분석 -성종 재위기의 포 류와 이엄을 중심으로-)

  • Indigo [鴉靑] was used as a symbolic color in 15th century diplomacy. This study reinforces the historical research for characteristic and shapes of indigo colored royal clothing gift in King Seongjong's reign with a focus on po [袍] and ieom [耳掩]. Clothing made of fur that was combined with satin damask, silk gossamer [綃] were frequent gift, and a sable coat was a symbol of high-ranking clothes. Another clothing's materials were satin damask, sheer fabric gauze [羅], cotton, tabby with silk and ramie [紵絲]. The indigo color of King Seongjong's reign was recommended not for luxury. Historical research factors for indigo clothing gift were extracted from noblemen's relics. Danryeong and jigryeong are shaped of narrow sleeves and trapezoid gusset pleated in and out. Sable coat can consist of satin damask outshell, sable lining, and double oblique collar. Heohyung are presumed types of short sleeved fur vests. Ieom can be reconstructed with an indigo fabric outshell and sufficient fur. Dapho has gusset pleated wide and narrow. As additional gifts, the shapes of yoseon-cheopri and cheopri were analyzed. We selected a commercial fabric similar to relics and an indigo powder dyeing method to remedy a lack of traditional material. The reconstructed data were presented as flat drawings and samples.

A Study on the Design for a Boll Jointed Doll's Costume with the Ladies' Vogue of Bok-yo in the Early-middle Joseon Dynasty (조선 초.중기 양반부녀복식의 복요(服妖) 유행을 응용한 구체관절인형 고증의상 디자인 연구)

  • This study investigates costumes for ball jointed dolls under the theme of Bok-yo(服妖): The Lady in Early-middle Joseon with relic costumes as a reference. The Bok-yo style was spread universally for Joseon women in the $15^{th}-16^{th}$ centuries, but it is an uncommon theme in the area of media and traditional costume for dolls. Bok-yo (curious outfit), consisted of a Dang-jeogori with a golden brocade in the front bottom, manlike Jang-ot, wide Chima, and Jang-ot was dressed between Chima and the Dang-jeogori. To make correct patterns and approvals for idle bodies of female ball-jointed dolls, darts are added in the front vertical line and center back of the golden brocade Dan-jeogori for Joseon ladies. The pattern of the golden brocade Chima is made as a trapezoid shape for the thin waist of a doll, and the length of a deep-greened silk gauze The Jang-ot increased because of the length of the doll's legs. In addition, the kinds of investigated accessories, hair, traditional underwear for dolls are limited. Suggested is a closer cooperation between the investigated costume designers, doll companies, and accessory makers for the future market of ball jointed dolls.

A Study on the Documentation Related to Mugeuk-do: Focusing on Its Comparison and Historical Evidence (무극도 관련 문헌 연구 - 비교 및 고증을 중심으로 -)

  • Documentation related to Mugeuk-do (Limitless Dao) is rare in comparison to other Korean new religions given that it has been open to the public and translated since the 1970s. Due to its rarity, the documentation has been used uncritically, without there being any comparative study or historical research. It is undeniable that distortions and fallacies are embedded in these documents, and this has resulted in quite a few problems in precisely understanding Mugeuk-do and Daesoon Jinrihoe (The Fellowship of Daesoon Truth), an order that has inherited the legacy of Mugeuk-do. In this regard, this study aims to critically define the characteristics and limitations of the major documents related to Mugeuk-do that were published by the colonial government in the 1920s~1930s and recorded by multiple orders in the 1970s-1980s through comparisons. An attempt to conduct this research allows for the discovery of a solution to the problem of uncritical usage of those materials. The documents produced by the colonial government that can be used as basic texts to study Mugeuk-do are The General Conditions of the Religion Mugeuk-do (無極大道敎槪況) and Unofficial Religions of the Korea (朝鮮の類似宗敎). These can be found through bibliography, comparison, and historical research. Chapters 6, 7, and 8 of The General Conditions of the Religion Mugeuk-do are a possible source on the order that reflects the circumstances of Mugeuk-do until 1925. In the case of Unofficial Religions of the Korea, if the descriptive perspective on unofficial religions is excluded, the articles written about the circumstances post 1925 have credibility. Another document that describes multiple orders and can be used as a basic text is chapter 2 of 'Progress of the Order' in Daesoon Jinrihoe's The Canonical Scripture. This is because its record precisely reflects the conditions of the era, with regard to the fact that it is the freest from distortions caused by changes in the belief system and it is less biased towards certain sects or denominations. Furthermore, the collection period of the articles is the earliest. Accordingly, as basic texts, Chapters 6, 7, and 8 of The General Conditions of the Religion Mugeuk-do and the articles from Unofficial Religions of the Korea after 1925, as well as chapter 2 of 'Progress of the Order' in The Canonical Scripture are appropriate for studying Mugeuk-do. In addition, Overview of Bocheonism, History of Jeungsan-gyo, and The True Scripture of the Great Ultimate can be utilized as references after removing distortions and fallacies through comparative study. Henceforth, relevant documents should be utilized to establish comprehensive data on Mugeuk-do through comparative and historical research.

  • AIDS란 성적 접촉에 의하여 사람에서 사람에게로 전염되었거나 금지된 마약이나 각성제등의 정맥주사에 쓰이는 주사기나 주사침을 공용하여 전염되는 것이 주인 감염경로에 의하여 일어나는 일련의 병의 최종적인 상태를 말한다. 1981년6월5일자 MMWR지에 실린 미국 로스엔젤레스지역 5명의 남성동성애자에 발생된 카리니폐염의 보고가 첫 보고증예이나, 이보다 앞선 2년반사이에 미국의 뉴욕주와 캘리포니아주에서 남성동성애자에서 카포시육종이나 카리니폐염환자가 발생되었었음이 알려져 이 병이 주목받게 되었다.
