  • 모빌리티 기술의 발전으로 자율주행 및 센서 데이터 처리를 위한 신뢰할 수 있는 고성능 저장 시스템의 수요가 증가하고 있다. SSD(Solid State Drive)는 빠른 데이터 처리 속도의 장점뿐만 아니라 외부 충격에 강한 내구성과 저전력의 특징 때문에 모빌리티 환경의 저장 시스템으로 사용되고 있다. 그러나 고온에 장시간 노출되면 NAND 플래시 메모리 소자에 손상이 발생할 수 있는 특성 때문에 모빌리티 내부 SSD의 온도를 관리해야 한다. 본 논문에서는 SSD의 외부 및 내부의 온도를 측정하여 저장장치가 고온에 장시간 노출되지 않도록 쿨링 시스템을 설계하고 실험을 통하여 적정 온도를 유지할 수 있는 최적화 방법을 제안한다. 또한 실험을 통해 쿨링 시스템이 SSD의 내부와 외부에 미치는 온도 변화를 측정하여 제안하는 시스템의 효과를 증명한다.

Effects of Cutting Management during Summer Season on Growth and Reserve Carbohydrates of Orchardgrass (고온기 예취방법이 Orchardgrass의 생장 및 탄수화물 축적에 미치는 영향)

  • Optimum pasture management during the summer season is an important factor to maintain good regrowth and persistence of pasture. The field experiment was carried out to investigate the effects of cutting management on growth and reserve carbohydrates in stubble. and on dry matter yield of orchardgrass dominated pasture during the mid-summer season. Three different cutting times(July 15, 25 and August 5) as a main plot and three cutting heights(3, 6 and 10cm) as a sub plot were disigned with three replications. The experiment was done at pasture of Changsung Agricultural High School in 1988. The results obtained were summarized as follows: 1. Temperature of soil surface and underground in the cutting of July 15 and July 25 was not showed significantly different, because of low intensity of radiation with a run of wet weather, and that of August 5 cutting tends to be lowed in high cutting height during the mid-summer season. 2. Amount of soil moisture against cutting height showed that high cutting had a low content. 3. Growth rate against regrowth of plant height, lear length and leaf area showed to be fast in high cutting. 4. Rapid recovery period of carbohydrate content after cutting and large amount of carbohydrate accumulation were showed in the cutting of July 15 and 25 compared with August 5 cutting in the reserve carbohydrate content against cutting of time and height during the mid-summer season. 5. Dry matter yield of the 4th and 5th cutting showed to be remarkable in July 15 cutting compared to those of July 25 and August 5. From the above results, it is suggested that the 10cm cutting height during the mid-summer season is the most effective for good regrowth, reserve carbohydrates and dry matter yield of orchardgrass.

Characteristics of Thermophilic Methane Fermentation Using the Organic Wastes (유기성 폐기물을 이용한 고온 메탄 발효의 특성)

  • In this work, it was investigated that various aspects of process, application situation, merits and short-coming results of the thermophilic methane fermentation with highly concentrated organic waste substances such as sewage sludges, food wastes and excretions. The merits of this methane fermentation were that it had a very fast reaction rate and was possible to proceed in high loads. It was also high in mortality for pathogenic microorganism and the digested sludge was more hygienic. However, the short-comings were that more energy was required for heating in the fermentation facility, no surplus energy could be gained from low concentration of organic waste, the fermentation treatment dropped level of water quality, thus burdens discharging process of water. Especially, the high concentration of methane fermentation could possibly lack nutritious salt and could face the disturbance by ${NH_4}^+-N$, a proper alternative was required. In general, thermophilic methane fermentation was considered as a better mean in disposing of cow excretion and food waste which were highly concentrated organic wastes. On the other hand, under the condition where the concentration of waste material was low and the high concentrate waste material became higher than 3,000 mg/L in ${NH_4}^+-N$, thermophilic methane fermentation resulted less desirable outcome.

  • In Korea, Brassica species planted in summer remain in rosette and do not flower. Seed production of vernalized rape seedlings grown in summer was evaluated to establish method of generation shortening and genetically pure seed production without isolation of seed fields. When vernalized rape seedlings of different maturity groups were transplanted in summer, all plants bolted and flowered, and average days from sowing to bolting and flowering was 37 and 58. respectively. It took 85days for early maturity group, 88 days for medium maturity group, and 108 days for late maturity group to mature. Seed yield of vernalized plants grown in summer was 8.8 gr per plant and 53kg per l0a which was 23% of seed yield of rape planted in autumn. However, enough seeds were produced to test oil composition and cake and to plant for a next generation. If seedlings are raised, they can be transplanted in more than 1, 000 times of original seed field, indicating that genetically pure seed can be produced without caging seed fields with nets and isolation of seed fields since other Brassica species do not flower in summer.

Growth and Flowering of Eustoma grandiflorum as affected by Duration of Seedling Storage at 1$0^{\circ}C$ (고온기 육묘에서 유묘의 저온처이기간이 꽃도라지의 생장과 개화에 미치는 영향)

  • This study was conducted to evaluate the growth and flowering responses of Eustoma grandiflorum cv. Azmasul, Azmahoon and Azmazo influenced by duration of storage at 1$0^{\circ}C$ of seedlings raised in warm season. The plants after cold treatment were cultivated in a glasshouse under natural day length with the minimum temperature of 12$^{\circ}C$. The stem thickness and number of leaves of Azmasul and Azmahoon were not affected by duration of cold treatment However, plant height, internode length fresh and. dry weights were significantly increased in the four-week treatment. In addition, four-week treatment increased flower weight and width. Bays to flowering of Azmasul and Azmahoon in four-week treatment were shortened by 20 days compared to the control or two-week treatment. Shoot growth and flower Qualify of Azmazo under the four-week treatment were promoted. Four-week treatment reduced the days to flowering of Azmazo by 31 and 36 days compared to the control and two-week treatment. The results of this study show that optimum duration for storage at l$0^{\circ}C$ for seedlings of Ewtoma grandiflorum cv Azmasul. Azmahoon and Azmazo grown in warm season is four weeks.

Effects of Oligosaccharide and Pseudomonas sp. on the Growth of Potted Kalanchoe During Summer Season (천연올리고당 및 Pseudomonas속 길항미생물의 단독 및 혼용처리가 고온기 칼랑코에 생육촉진에 미치는 영향)

  • Most severe problem in production of potted kalanchoe during summer season is retardation of growth caused by high temperature. The aim of this experiment was aimed to investigate the effects of natural products such as algin-oligosacchride and glucosamine oligosaccharide, plant growth promoting rhizovacteria such as Pseudomonas sp. B and Pseudomonas sp. D2, and AG-solution on the growth of potted kalanchoe under the different root zone temperature in the greenhouse. Growth characteristics in terms of plant height, leaf length, leaf width, leaf area, leaf weight, fresh weight of shoot and root and root length were recorded under three root zone temperatures (25$^{\circ}C$, 30$^{\circ}C$, 35$^{\circ}C$). In 25$^{\circ}C$, the mixed treatment of Pseudomonas sp. B and glucosamine oligosaccharide resulted in the best growth in terms of plant height, leaf area and root weight. In 3-$^{\circ}C$, glucosamine oligosaccharide treatment gave fair result in plant height and leaf weight, but the mixed treatemtn of Pseudomonas sp. D2 and algin-oligosaccharide showed better growth on leaf area and root weight. In 35$^{\circ}C$, the mixed treatment of Pseudomonas sp. B and glucosamine oligosaccharide could greatly improve the plant height, leaf area, leaf weight and root weight. These results demonstrated that the mixed treatment of natural products and microorganisms could overcome the detrimental effects caused by high temeprature in the production of kalanchoe.

Establishment of an Optimal Washing Condition of a High Temperature Steaming System for the Production of High Quality Pork (고품질 돈육 생산을 위한 고온증기세척수의 최적 조건)

  • The objective of this study was to determine the efficacy of different water temperatures and time of spray-washing on the removal of bacteria contamination from surface of pork carcass and to obtain better meat quality with high temperature stream between 60 to 90℃ for the time ranged from 10 to 60 sec. Results showed that total plate counts were significantly decreased with increasing steam temperature(P<0.05). Similar results were found with the spray time(P<0.05). The lightness(CIE L*) value was significantly increased in both loin and ham cuts over 80℃(P<0.05). Ultimate pH of muscle and water-holding capacity were decreased with increasing steam temperature(P<0.05). There was a significant difference in solubility of sarcoplasmic protein between 70℃ and 80℃ of the steam treatments with higher value at 70℃(P<0.05). Again, longer than 30 sec spray at 70℃ steam, the lightness value of pork was significantly increased(P<0.05), while pH and water-holding capacity of muscle were significantly decreased(P<0.05). Therefore, a desirable pork quality would be achieved with spray-steam washing at 70℃ for 20 sec on pork carcass.

Root-zone Temperature Control of Tomato Plant Cultivated in Perlite Bag during Summer Season (고온기 펄라이트 자루재배시 최적 근권온도 조절방법)

  • This research was conducted to establish efficient methods to control root-zone temperature of tomato plant when cultivated in perlite bag during the summer season. Tomato plants were grown with four selected treatments; covering irrigation pipe by aluminum insulation material (Insulate), discarding nutrient solution inside the irrigation line before each irrigation (Discard), skipping irrigation for two hours from 13:00 to 15:00 (Skip), or no treatment as a control (Non). Based on the analysis of plant development index, all plants with selected treatments grew more vigorous and vegetative in similar growth patterns. The discard treatment exhibited the best root-zone temperature control among the treatments. The discard treatment also resulted in the best root growth and above-ground growth, followed by skip, Insulate and Non. The total yields were obtained by the order of Insulate, Discard, Non and Skip. However the marketable yield was obtained by the order of Discard, Insulate, Skip and Non. The net incomes treated with Discard and Insulate were 9,687,600 and 9,396,000 Korean won per hectare, respectively, exhibiting higher incomes than that of Non. Therefore, it was concluded that insulation of the irrigation pipe and discarding nutrient solution inside the pipe before each irrigation were the most desirable and economical methods in terms of costs and yields.

Evaluation of Autoheated Thermophilic Aerobic Digestion Process for the Treatment of Pig Manure Wastewater (돈사폐수의 고온 호기성 소화공정 적용 타당성 평가)

  • Since autoheated thermophilic aerobic digestion (ATAD) process has various advantages for the treatment of high-strength organic wastewater, active research and field application has been applied in U.S.A. and Canada, recently and the interest in ATAD process has been elevated for treating high-strength organic wastewater efficiently in Korea. Therefore, various experiments were carried out to evaluate the feasibility of ATAD process for the treatment of pig manure wastewater. The results of this study showed possibility to reuse pig manure wastewater as wet fodder or liquid compost, since ATAD process led excellent stabilization on the basis of odor and putrefaction. However. digested sludge can not be provided as wet fodder to most of hog farms without changing dry feeder system into wet system and as liquid compost to hog farms not having their own grass land. Since the results showed that the increase of temperature in reactor was resulted not from energy by biological activity. but from mechanical mixing energy. the reactor investigated in this study was against the principle of ATAD process. Therefore. if pig manure wastewater treated by ATAD can not be utilized as wet fodder. it is not economical to adopt ATAD process only for the treatment of wastewater.
