Tubular joints are usually reinforced using thicker can section or ring stiffeners to increase the load carrying capacity. In this paper, a numerical study has been performed for evaluation of axial strength for X-joints with internal ring stiffener, The finite element analysis software was used for nonlinear strength analysis. According to variation of ring geometries, the effect of ring stiffener for X-joints are investigated. Internal ring stiffener is found to be efficient improving ultimate strength of tubular joints. Relations of thickness of ring and axial strength are observed considering geometric parameters of ring stiffeners.

In this paper we propose a wavelength-switchable fiber ring laser that employs a polarization-dependent fiber band stop filter. The fiber filter was fabricated by inscribing a long-period fiber grating on a high birefringent fiber. Dual-wavelength switching operation was accomplished by controlling the rotatable linear polarizer which rotated the polarization plane of the light circulating through the fiber laser cavity. The amplitude variation of both laser lines was measured to be less than 0.5 dB and the signal-to-amplified spontaneous emission ratio was more than 55 dB.

A tunable band-pass filter of fiber Bragg gratings incorporating the Sagnac loop interferometer configuration is presented. The proposed band-pass filter with extinction ratio 20 dB has practical advantages in terms of price and performance in comparison with the conventional band-pass filter using a circulator.

The photocyclodehydrogenation reaction of o-terphenyl type compounds has been interpreted with perturbational molecular orbital theory. Results show that the mobile bond order for the first excited state is a good reactivity index and this approach is also consistent with the orbital symmetry conservation rule of Woodward and Hoffmann.

Potassium carbonate reacts with silicon tetrachloride to form trichlorosilyloxy carbonylchloride which reacts subsequently with another molecule of silicon tetrachloride leading to phosgene eventually in chlorinated solvents. This in situ generated trichlorosilyloxy carbonylchloride or phosgene were found to be very effective for the chlorination of a wide variety of alcohols to the corresponding chlorides. Primary, secondary and benzylic alcohols were converted into corresponding chlorides when treated with silicon tetrachloride in the presence of potassium carbonate at room temperature.

We investigated a double ring resonator(DRR)device to improve the resonating Q value of a superconductor resonator. To make a DRR device, we made a large area YBCO film on a MgO substrate by pulsed laser deposition(PLD). Thetransition temperature was 88 K and the film was uniformly deposited. We also deposited 500$\AA$SrTiO$_{3}$on the YBCO thin film to protect the superconducting properties from degradation. The loaded Q value was measured as 50000 from simulation and as 2000 from experiment near 10GHz at 77K.

This paper proposed LQ-Servo PI controller by considering LQ-Servo structure as PI controller with a partial state feedback and concerns about the development of the flexible design algorithm by introducing weights to the design parameters of the previous LQ-Servo design method. the propose algorithm improves the matchings of the maximum and minimum singular values at high and low frequencies of the design loop transfer function as well as its loop shaping for performance.

In this paper, we introduce a Walsh network and an LMS algorithm, and show how these can be realized as an adaptive equalizer. The Walsh network is built from a set of Walsh and Block pulse functions. In the LMS algorithm, the convergence factor is an important design parameter because it governs stability and convergence speed, which depend on the proper choice of the convergence facotr. The conventional adaptation techniques use a fixed time constant convergence factor by the method of trial and error. In this paper, we propose an optimal method in the choice of the convergence factor. The proposed algorithm depends on the received signal and the output of the Walsh network in real time.

본 논문에서는 sliding-DFT의 순환구현을 기반한 실시간 위상 측정 앨고리즘을 제시하였다. 종래의 순환형 SDFT 기반 위상 측정 기법은 단일 계수를 사용하기 때문에 계수 근사가 적용되는 하드웨어 구현시 심각한 오차 파급 특성을 나타낸다. 본 논문에서는 순환 구조이면서 회전 위상을 보정을 통해 N-point DFT의 N개의 모든 계수를 적용한 위상 측정 기법을 제시하였고, FPGA 등 하드웨어 구현에 있어서 계수의 유한 비트 근사에 따르는 성능 열화를 해석하였다. 제안한 위상측정 앨고리즘은 실시간 다채널 위상 측정이 가능하도록 FPGA에 구현하였고 동작을 확인하였다.

지구 온난화를 일으키는 온실 가스 중의 하나인 이산화탄소($CO_2$)를 Epoxide와 Tetrabutylammonium bromide를 촉매로 하여 합성하여, 초임계 $CO_2$ 상태($Tc=31.06^{\circ}C$, Pc=7.38MPa)에서 반응하여 그에 따른 수율을 측정한 결과 초임계하에서는 현저한 수율의 증가를 확인하였다.
