It is the purpose of the study to investigate how high school students understand the concept of carbon cycle according to their spatial perception ability. For this, a total of 30 male students and 33 female students, who belong to the science course of the 2nd grade at a general co-education high school located in a megalopolis of Korea and have finished the class of Earth Science I in the first semester, took part in the spatial perception ability test, and four male students and four female students were selected as members of two groups : one group of higher spatial perception ability and the other group of lower spatial perception ability, and they agreed to participate in the study and have got the test of the carbon cycle concept. The results are as followings. It was found that the students who had higher spatial perception ability recorded more scores in the carbon cycle concept, state change concept, and process concept at the factor of word association and the carbon cycle concept, state change and process concept at the factor of drawing than those who had lower spatial perception ability. Connecting link used in the systemic viewpoint was disclosed like this in the factor of causal map of those who had higher spatial perception ability : one student 2 and another one student 1 and the other two students 0 : and in the factor of drawing three students 1 and the other 0 ; But nothing was found in the factors of causal map and drawing of those who had lower spatial perception ability. In addition, it was also found that those students who had higher spatial perception ability, when compared with those students who had lower spatial perception ability, have understood the fact that carbon moves through the interaction of the earth system's lower parts; Three students, who showed higher spatial perception ability, had a low level of systemic thinking concept, and one student who had higher spatial perception ability and four students who had lower spatial perception ability did not have a systemic thinking concept.

This study investigated eating behaviors (life-style, breakfast pattern, eating environment, snack pattern, and awareness of breakfast) by breakfast frequency (0~2 times, 3~6 times, and 7 times per week) of high school students (146 males and 165 females) in the Yongin region. The percentage of 'mother' as breakfast preparer increased with elevated breakfast frequency, whereas 'myself' was lower for females (P<0.001). Regarding reasons for skipping breakfast, 'getting more sleep' increased with elevated breakfast frequency, whereas 'loosing appetite' decreased in males (P<0.001). Regarding family reaction to skipping breakfast, 'advising' increased with elevated breakfast frequency in females (P<0.001). Skipping breakfast by eating snacks was higher in females (51.6%) than in males (35.6%), and skipping dinner was higher (53.4%) in females. Awareness of breakfast importance increased with elevated breakfast frequency in males (P<0.05) and females (P<0.001). Perception of correlation between health and breakfast was higher in females (54.8%) compared to males (43.9%), and the most important reason was 'energy supplement'. 'Eating now and will eat' increased with elevated breakfast frequency in males (P<0.001) and females (P<0.001), whereas sum of 'not eating now and will not eat' and 'eating now but will not eat' were 19.2% and 14.2% in males and females, respectively. Therefore, appropriate education programs emphasizing importance of eating breakfast and environmental improvement for regularly eating breakfast for high school students are highly required.

Most of oceanic current maps in the secondary school science and earth science textbooks have been made on the base of extensive in-situ measurements conducted by Japanese oceanographers during 1930s. According to up-to-date scientific knowledge on the currents in the Yellow Sea and the East China Sea (YES), such maps have significant errors and are likely to cause misconceptions to students, thus new schematic map of ocean currents is needed. The currents in the YES change seasonally due to relatively shallow water depths, complex terrain, winds, and tides. These factors make it difficult to construct a unified ocean current map of the YES. Sixteen major items, such as the flow of the Kuroshio Current into the East China Sea and its northward path, the origin of the Tsushima Warm Current and its path into the Korea Strait, the path of Taiwan Warm Current, the Jeju Warm Current, the runoff pattern of the Yangtze River flow, the routes of the northward Yellow Sea Warm Current, the Chinese Coastal Current, and the West Korea Coastal Current off the west coast of the Korean Peninsula, were selected to produce the schematic current map. Review of previous scientific researches, in-depth discussions through academic conferences, expert discussions, and consultations for three years since 2014 enabled us to produce the final ocean current maps for the YES after many revisions. Considering the complexity of the ocean currents, we made seven ocean current maps: two representative current patterns in summer and winter, seasonal current maps for upper layer and lower layer in summer and winter, and one representative surface current map. It is expected that the representative maps of the YES, connected to the current maps of the East Sea and the Northwest Pacific Ocean, would be widely utilized for diverse purposes in the secondary-school textbooks as well as high-level educational purposes and even for scientific scholarly experts.
Gangnam-gu, where the survey of residents' consciousness has been made in this study, is the district shows the highest rate of the energy consumption and greenhouse gas emission per unit area except some industrial districts such as Gwangyang, Ulsan, and Pohang. The greenhouse gas emission amount of Gangnam-gu is 4,863,765 $tCO_2$ which accounts for 10 % of the total discharging amount of Seoul, 50,330,356 $tCO_2$, which is ranked the top greenhouse gas emission rate in the commercial category and the 2nd place in the household category. The average recognition rate for the 5 subjects of the global warming phenomenons has indicated to be 83.58%. A survey questioning about the main agent to reduce the greenhouse gas, in all age groups except 20s have replied that it should be done by themselves, the residents of Gangnam-gu. For the question of the role of local government to respond to the climate change, the necessity of establishing infrastructure which is suitable for walking and biking. For the other question about the educational facilities to cope with the climate change, many answered the relevant education should be processed from the middle and high schools. For the practical activities in daily life to respond to the climate change, many replies have shown that the energy and resource conservation has been practiced pretty well broadly, but the ecomileage (former carbon mileage) has not been practiced well. Also, many replies have pointed that there were no benefits or rewards for the people who practiced the eco-mileage in their daily lives, which indicates that a kind of incentive is necessary for the efforts to respond to the climate change from the local government to execute the policy substantially and effectively. This study has the purpose to search the political countermeasures to improve the potentiality to reduce the green house gas emission rate through the residents conscious survey about climate change and the political solution by the local government to improve the certain items which showed the lower awareness rate.
This study was conducted to estimate the dental caries experience, oral hygiene status and the factors influencing the dental disease in the smoking adolescents and to provide the baseline data for managing smokers efficiently. We recruited 156 smokers(male: 106, female: 50) in middle, high school students in 5 day Non-smoking program in seoul city and 176 non-smokers(male: 64, female: 112) by matching method for considering sex and age from June 1 to August 31 2009. Data on general characteristics, basic oral health care, smoking factors, self-efficiency, control of oral health, oral health promotion behavior, knowledge of oral health were collected by a questionnaire interview. DMFT index, DT index, MT index, FT index, Plaque index, Calculus index were calculated by the oral examination. The results of this study were as follows. 1. Dental clinic visit(p < 0.05), self-perception of oral health status(p < 0.001), oral health concern (p < 0.01) in non-smoker group were significantly higher than that of smoker group. 2. self-efficiency(p<0.05), oral health promotion behavior(p < 0.05) in non-smoker group were significantly higher than that of smoker group. 3. DT index, Plaque index, Calculus index in non-smoker group was significantly lower than that of smoker group(p < 0.0001). 4. The fewer smoke amount, the lower DT index(p < 0.05), Plaque index(p < 0.01), Calculus index(p < 0.001). 5. It was significant correlated among DT index and self-efficiency, oral health promotion behavior, control of oral health. 6. In multiple regression analysis, oral health promotion behavior, Plaque index was proved as a significant factors related with the degree of dental caries experience in smoking adolescents. In other word, the higher oral health promotion behavior, the lower Plaque index, the fewer DT index.
This study executed questionnaire 388 high school boy students in Jeolla-bukdo Namwon from June 9, 2008 to 20th prepares basic data about boy student's oral health behavior, and examines closely the connection factor and plans oral health promotion. Questionnaire distributed getting classroom teacher's cooperation and reclaimed through classroom teacher after make questionnaire by students. The collected data executed Chi-square test and descriptive statistics using SPSS program and the result is as following. 1. Response that responded that students of 61.1% are 2 times in toothbrushing number of times on 1 day, and appeared by thing which 69.1% does toothbrushing most much after way in the morning, and cleans up and down by toothbrushing method was the most by 36.6%. A student of only 8.5% was using auxiliary oral hygiene devices. 2. The oral medical examination and treatment engine use experience rate was 93.6%, and students of 82.9% do treatment as reason by last oral medical examination and treatment use purpose and did coming to help. The 1 year within use experience rate was 47.7%, and students of 77.1% were satisfied for medical examination and treatment. 3. Toothbrushing frequency of smoked students appeared low compared to students woo do not smoke, and students, who do drinking, was expose toothbrushing number by 3 limes compared to students who do not. 4. The activity limitation experience rate by oral disease was 16.0%, and the year absence experience rate was 5.2%, and the studies achievement hindrance experience rate appeared by 13. 1%. As a result, is considered to strengthen on-time oral medical examination and oral health education, and need prevention and policy of early treatment putting first.

This study was carried out to investigate the factors affecting the dietary adaptation of female immigrants in multi-cultural families in Busan. The survey was conducted from October 10 to November 30, 2010 using questionnaires, and the data was analyzed using the SPSS program. The subjects were mainly from China (58.8%), Vietnam (14.7%), Philippines (8.8%) and Japan (7.4%). The longer they had resided in Korea, the lower their preference they had for Korean foods. There were no significant differences in preference according to their nationality. The subjects reported that their consumption of cereals (36.7%), meats (40.0%), fish (50.8%), milk and dairy products (47.4%), vegetables (48.3%), fruits (44.8%), fat and oil (29.1%) and beverages (32.8%) were increased after immigration. They usually obtained information about Korean foods from family (26.5%) and television and internet (26.5%). Sixty four point seven percent of the females ate 'everyday' Korean foods and 30.9% ate their home country foods every day. A higher will for learning Korean foods, intake frequency and age resulted in a higher adaptation of Korean dietary life. Lower marital conflict resulted in higher adaptation. These results suggest that it would be effective to provide systematic nutrition education program for female immigrants and their families to adapt to Korean dietary life.
Research on entrepreneurial giftedness is in its initial stage and the importance is increasing these days. The purpose of this article was to provide a standard type of entrepreneurial gifted students by measuring their temperament and character separately. In the year of 2010 to 2011 participants of 'Future Creative Entrepreneur' projects which was governed by Korean Patent Office and Korean Intellectual Property Association participated the present study. They composed of middle and high school students and the total number of them was 246. For all the 7 temperament and character scales; the novelty seeking, the harm avoidance, the reward dependence, the persistence, the self-directedness, cooperativeness, and self-transcendence, scores of the entrepreneurial gifted students were significantly different from the norm group (average students at the same age). In a nut shell, entrepreneurial gifted students were optimistic in their temperament and mature in their character. They also manifested high ability of adjustment and control so they can manage their features of temperament which include all the advantages and weaknesses. The Entrepreneurial gifted students were differentiated from gifted science and math students, academically competent group, and high IQ group. Implications and further research directions were discussed.

This study aims to propose a scaffolding strategy that can be applied to the information search process by using Kuhlthau's ISP model, which presented a design and implementation strategy for the mediation role in the learning process. To this end, the relevant literature was reviewed to categorize scaffolding strategies, and impressions were collected from the students surveys after providing 150 middle school students in the Daejeon area with the project class to which the scaffolding strategy based on the ISP model was applied. The collected data were processed into a form suitable for analysis through data preprocessing for word frequencies to be extracted, and topic analysis was performed using STM (Structural Topic Modeling). First, after determining the optimal number of topics and extracting topics for each stage of the ISP model, the extracted topics were classified into three types: cognitive domain-macro perspective, cognitive domain-micro perspective, and emotional domain perspective. In this process, we focused on cognitive verbs and emotional verbs among words extracted through text mining, and presented a scaffolding strategy model related to each topic by reviewing representative document cases. Based on the results of this study, if an appropriate scaffolding strategy is provided at the ISP model stage, a positive effect on learners' self-directed task solving can be expected.

The result of respiration amount on the growth step of P. ostreatus shows as follows. On the early and middle mycelial culture step, respiration amount per minute in the 16 bottles(850cc) maintained 184.75ppm, 185.8ppm respectively. Therefore we are able to calculate how much fresh air replace in the growth chamber for optimization optimal CO2 amount. This means early respiration amount was increased than middle a little on the proceeding mycelial culture. On the early, middle, last and post harvest growth step, the respiration amount per minute in the 16 bottles (850cc) maintained 154.5ppm, 148.1ppm, 157.1ppm and 101.6ppm respectively.
