Recently, the Moon administration established the Ministry of Small and Medium-sized Enterprises (SMEs) and Startups, as part of its national strategy for start-up and innovation growth led by small and medium-sized venture companies. In a slowing economy, as venture companies with excellent internal competencies are seen to be favorable to growth, the government funding for technology development is becoming increasingly important. Previous studies examine the internal competence factors that can strengthen competitiveness through self-efforts and the influence structure of growth stage, which is an important factor in industrial environment, on business performance. As the government support for venture firms has been strengthened, the effect of government funding on the management performance and technological innovation performance of venture firms have been recently discussed in various ways. However, there is a lack of precedent research on the moderating effect of the utilization of government funding on the existing influence structure in which firm's internal competence and growth stages affects business performance. Therefore, this study examined whether the internal competencies of the venture firms and the stage of growth have direct effects on business performance and analyzed the moderating effect in connection with government funding utilization under these influence structures. The results of the study are as follows. First, the utilization of government funding in the venture firms whose R&D personnel ratio is relatively low, not to have own brands and showed an increase of employees has a significantly positive influence on business performance. Second, the moderating effects of the government funding utilization at the high growth stage of the venture firms are shown significantly. These results suggest that the venture policy linked to the job creation of the present government requires not only the support considering R&D personnel but also the necessity of supporting human resources policy to a greater extent and further study on the effectiveness of venture firms in the high growth stage.

Local product is the key driver of regional economic growth. Despite abundant attention - there remains to examine about sustainable growth of local products. While previous studies have focused on local product brand and tourism effects, we need to know more about other way or mind-set that upgrade local product quality in local circumstances. This research topic's goal is to provide an academic implication to discuss sustainable growth and local product developments in Gyeongju bread and waxy barley bread from succession and entrepreneurship view with practical lesson for fostering local products. In-depth case study conducted within ancient capital Gyeongju bread and waxy barley bread provided combined evidence that craftsmanship and entrepreneurship is vital to the sustainable growth of local bread. Our study suggests that how succession is deployed serves as a key engine for the craftsmanship and entrepreneurial mind of local product business ownership.

우리나라는 60년대 이후 지금까지 약 30년간 눈부신 산업발달과 고도의 경제성장을 이룩하였으며, 국민생활 수준도 괄목할 만큼 향상되어 왔다. 그러나 우리나라는 공업화와 경제성장의 원동력인 에너지자원이 매우 빈약하여 매년 막대한 외화를 들여 에너지자원을 수입하고 있고, 국제 에너지정세의 변화에 따라 많은 어려움을 겪어 왔다. 앞으로 에너지자원의 고갈에 따라 세계 에너지자원의 공급상황은 더욱 불확실해져 갈 것으로 예상되고 있어 에너지 자립을 하지 못하는 나라는 냉엄한 국제사회속에서 자주국가로서의 자립이 불가능해질것이며, 국민 개개인의 생존마저도 위협받게 될 것이다. The landscape of Seoul was dynamically changed and developed with the rapid post-war economic growth. Seoul city designated a height regulation district to preserve and manage the city landscape and protect it from haphazard construction. The designation of a maximum height regulation district has obvious purpose and simple regulations which makes the implementation and management easy to apply yet the altitude restriction lacks an objective basis for its enforcement. Many studies have been done and the current uniform height regulation requires more objective and logical guidelines. This study selected the Bukhan Mountain area, a National Park designated to protect the environment, to present a new landscape height guideline to minimize environmental degradation and to harmonize the artificial and natural landscapes of the area. Document research was done to identify the regulation types(absolute height regulation, view line regulation, oblique line restriction regulation) and principles for height regulation district establishment, acknowledge the current status and issues of the Bukhan Mountain area's maximum height regulation district. Gangbuk-Gu was chosen as the site and survey was conducted on outstanding view points and view corridors of residents. From document research, an appropriate landscape height guideline was selected and applied to Gangbuk-Gu. According to the guideline, suitable heights for buildings were suggested. These were then applied to three-dimensional simulations and a final guideline was suggested.

The Korean government is attempting to promote technology-based start-ups and venture firms that can lead to new national growth engines being developed. Although government support policies focus on improving survival rates, strategic tools for sustainability management based on a continuing company's assumption are also relevant. Previous studies indicate corporate social responsibility (CSR) as an important strategic tool for the management of corporate sustainability. This research is an exploratory study that seeks to empirically analyze the applicability of such CSR to venture firms. Existing previous studies have been carried out by large companies and surveys, and there are limitations that do not reflect the characteristics of companies. To complement the shortcomings of previous studies and propose practical consequences, this study conducted an empirical analysis using raw data from government approval statistics to identify the growth stages of venture firms. Using the 2018 Survey of Korea Venture Firms, we identified the growth stages of domestic venture firms and used the data envelopment analysis (DEA) to investigate the effect of CSR activities on managerial efficiency. The analysis found that CSR during start-up and early growth cycles did not affect managerial performance. The organization that conducted enthusiastic CSR activities performed better than those that did not perform CSR activities since the rapid growth era. Ultimately, the scale efficiency of venture business was the highest from the rapid growth era when the CSR was not done. This study is a pioneering study that found that after the period of high growth, venture firms' CSR activities can affect managerial performance. Therefore, it is important to advise applicable policies and business decision-makers that CSR practices can be a tactical resource for improving performance of management.

현재 정부는 친환경녹색성장을 모티브로 환경기준을 강화하고 있으며, 오염 발생원을 최소화 하고자 현재 가동중인 환경기초시설을 대상으로 고도산화공정을 추가하여 오염 배출량을 최소화 하도록 정부와 지자체가 독려하고 있는 중이다. 따라서 대표적인 환경오염 업종인 섬유/염색 관련업체는 강화되는 환경기준을 만족하기 위한 공정검토가 불가피한 현실이다. 특히 대구 OO염색공단은 염색업체가 집적되어 있어 난분해성 오염물질과 색도유발물질이 다량 발생되고 있으며, 폐수처리장에서 운영 중인 재래식 폐수처리공정으로는 강화되는 방류수 수질기준을 충족할 수 없다. 따라서 본 연구에서는 방류수 수질기준을 만족하기 위한 고도산화 공정을 검토하였으며, 그 공정의 최적인자를 도출하고자 하였다. 고도산화 공정에서 오존산화, Peroxone AOP, Fenton oxidation 공정을 검토하였으며, 강화되는 수질기준을 만족할 수 있는 최적인자 및 처리효율을 검토하였다. 그 결과 조건에 따라 COD, T-N, T-P, 색도 등에서 처리효율은 40 ~ 90% 범위로 경제성을 고려하여 최적의 운전조건을 도출 하였다.

90년대를 맞아 정유업계는 해결해야 할 많은 과제를 안고 있다. 석유수요의 증가에 따른 안정공급기반의 확충과 석유수요구조의 경질화ㆍ가스화ㆍ저유황화에 따른 시설고도화가 당면과제로 등장하고 있다. 그러나 정유산업 허용이익의 절대규모부족과 적정이윤미현실은 성장발전의 제약요인이 되고 있다. 또 현행유가관리제도도 개선ㆍ보완 내지 폐지되어야 한다는 의견이 높다. 이에 석유협회에서는 설문을 통해 각계의 의견을 들어본다. <편집자 주>

1970년대 고도 성장시기를 거치면서 단시간 내에 많은 양의 제품을 생산하는 것이 회사의 자랑거리일 때가 있었다. 작업환경이나 작업자의 안전에 대한 의식은 제품의 빠른 생산이라는 사명에 가려 대수롭지 않게 여겼고, 생산현장에서 재해가 발생할 경우 늦게라도 회사가 안전에 더 신경을 쓰는 것이 아니라 오히려 사고를 당한 당사자의 부주의를 탓하던 시절이었다. 그러나, 시대가 변하고 교육과 생활수준이 향상되면서 작업환경 개선 및 안전의 중요성을 인식하게 되었고, 그에 대한 규정도 선진국 수준으로 강화 되었다.
