Suggestion of Product Planning Process for Small and Medium Sized Design Company : Focused on the Case of Baby Bathtub Design Concept Development (중소 디자인 기업을 위한 제품 기획 프로세스 제안 : 유아욕조 디자인 콘셉트 개발 사례를 중심으로)

  • A number of small and medium design companies in Korea are making efforts to develop distinguished products with an aim to survive and prosper. However, it is quite difficult to succeed due to insufficient experience in product planning and the challenges in applying known methodologies, which are based on a large amount of data presented as best practices in designing process, in the actual small and medium enterprise operations. To this end, this study suggested the usefulness of the user participation process as the methodology for small and medium design companies and chose the user FGD method implemented by Company P which is a small design company as an empirical case study. The following are the processes used in the case study; First, the problems of existing baby bath were derived through user FGD. Second, opinions were collected from various classes of users through in-depth interviews. Third, the ideas derived were analyzed with the KJ method and grouped based on similar elements, through which six design directions and detailed design concepts covering size, material, safety, purchase factors of existing product, direction of improvement, additional elements were derived. Through the case study, this study verified that the FGD method of Company P could improve the practical verification, integration and promptness of the product planning process in small and medium enterprises. This is valuable as a realistic process that small and medium enterprises with limited capital and manpower may adopt.

  • 본 연구에서는 소매업 변동에 관한 제 이론 검토와 입지 이론에서는 수요이론과 공급 이론에 대하여 두 이론이 부분적 적정성을 갖는 한편 양 이론이 동시적 고찰하지 못함에 따라 소매업태 입지 관련 적용에는 한계가 있다는 점을 지적하였다. 체인오퍼레이션의 의사결정 프로세스 분석을 통하여 새로운 체인 입지와 관련 문제점으로 공간 경쟁 효과와 시스템에 대한 매력효과를 검토하여 장단점을 복합적으로 반영하여 신규 출점 입지 의사결정을 하여야 한다는 것이다. 기존 선진 소매기업의 의사결정 기법을 통하여 국내 기업의 입지 의사결정에 기초 자료로 제공하고 실증 연구로서는 포화기 단계에 들어선 한국 할인점 시장(인천지역 T사의 기 출점)을 대상으로 의사결정단계의 일반 기준과 세부 기준을 제시를 통하여 AHP(Analytic Hierarchy Process) 계층 분석 방법으로 중요도를 평가하였다.

A Study on Government Support for Logistics Security (물류보안 인증을 위한 정부지원 방안 연구)

  • This study investigates the importance of government's support for logistics security assurance through certification programs. First, the study analyzed priorities among the requirements of logistics firms through Analytic Hierarchy Process(AHP) and Quality Function Deployment(QFD) approaches. For this process we invited 21 logistics experts to assess the relationships between logistic firms' requirements and government policies regarding logistics security using the house of quality, a set of matrices of QFD. The results of this phase of the study revealed the priorities of logistics firms' goals regarding the diffusion of the government security certification program as follows: integrated logistics security systems(40.3%), strengthening government support systems(32.4%), and operational effectiveness of logistics security certification(27.2%). Second, a relative weights applied QFD method based on AHP was applied to determined the expected outcome of the logistics security certification program. The results indicated as follows: productivity improvement(28.4%), improved level of service(26.7%), logistics cost reduction(21.6%), advanced information systems(19.7%), and improved environmental protection(3.6%). The results of this study provide new insights concerning logistics firms' requirements for supply chain security and the importance of government's support policies through logistics security certification programs.

  • In safety-critical systems (SCS), failure may result in accidents with serious damage to human beings and property. As systems become more complex and automated, the goal of acquiring safety has attracted increasing attention lately in the defense industry, as well as the rail, automotive, and aerospace industries, among others. As such, the Department of Defense and international organizations have established appropriate standards and guidelines for systems safety and design. To this end, there has been research on the processes, methods, and associated tools for safety design. However, those results do not seem to sufficiently utilize system architectural information. The purpose of this paper is to provide a more systematic approach to SCS design. To better identify potential hazards, design information at each level of system hierarchy is exploited. Based on the results, an integrated process model was developed by combining the processes of system design and safety analysis. As a case study, the resultant integrated process model was applied to the safety design of an automobile system, which shows useful results for safety evaluation.

  • In the network economy, the informatization of Small and Medium enterprises(SME) plays an important role in determining productivity while being competitive in the businesses. Informatization of SME has become important along with the recent trend of the fourth industrial revolution. Based on the IT Business Value Model, this study analyzes the key factors of information service of SME with the structure model. In addition, multi-level model was conducted by dividing the layers according to the size of the SME. The analysis confirmed that complementary organizational resources are a key factor in determining the informatization of SME. In addition, the effect of informatization of SME on the scale of SME varies depending on the type of entry into the industrial complex.

  • Function analysis and idea creation phase in Value Engineering(VE) Process is applied to manufacturing Industry for developing functions for elements of products, and in construction come to use various components like process, size of project, spaces as well as function itself due to multi-functional aspect. For this reason, VE applications to the construction industry are considered to be less frequent and efficient than to the manufacturing. To resolve this problem, a new technique of Function Integration Fast(HI FAST) and Hierarchical Value Engineering Concept Modules(HVECM) was made for practical integration and sequence of VE job Plan. Two types of function would be defined In this method, first and second function, during the job Plan process, and two function champions be selected for next creation phase process. For verification of consecutiveness of function analysis and idea creation phase for successful VE project implementation, this methodology was tested under design phase in office and IT Multi-functional building project. Make sure the successful application of this process with this method, need to develop the talent of VE experts and team members for process of function analysis and creation phase.

  • 지식경영을 효과적으로 수행하기 위해서 기업은 지식경영을 구성하고 있는 요소를 정확히 이해할 필요가 있고, 이러한 중요 요소에 따라 투자가 이루어져야 한다. 본 연구는 지식경영의 중요 요소들을 제시함으로써, 앞으로 지식경영을 계획하고 있는 기업이 효과적으로 지식경영을 추진할 수 있는 활동 지침 및 투자 방향을 제시하고자 한다. 이를 위해, 본 연구에서는 각종 국내외 지식경영 관련 문헌에서 논의된 사항을 중심으로, 지식경영을 구성하는 30개의 중요요소를 추출하고, 분석계층도(AHP)를 이용하여 지식경영을 달성하기 위한 요소들을 위계적 구조로 정리하고, 최종단계에서 238개의 지식경영 구현의 평가기준을 마련하였다. 또한 실제로 지식경영 구현 요소들의 상대적 중요성을 파악하기 위해, 먼저 국내에서 지식경영을 추진하고 있거나 관심을 보이고 있는 48개 기업의 담당자 및 관련 부서원을 대상으로 설문조사를 실시하였고, 동시에 지식경영을 실제로 수행하고 있는 13개 기업의 담당자를 대상으로 각 기업에서 추진하고 있는 지식경영의 현황 파악을 위해 지식경영 실천의 평가기준에 대한 설문을 실시하였다. 이 두 가지 설문 조사 결과를 종합해 볼 때, 기업에서는 지식경영 구현 요소 중에서 인프라 내의 프로세스와 프로세스를 구성하는 지식의 활용과 전파 등이 중요하다고 인식하고 있는 반면, 실제로는 인프라 내의 정보기술과 프로세스를 구성하는 다른 한 축인 지식의 창출과 축적 면에 투자가 이루어진 것으로 나타났다. 이 외에도 지식화, 성과와 가치의 연계 그리고 지식의 가시화 등의 요소들은 상대적 중요도 인식과는 반대로 지식경영 추진에 있어 외면당하고 있는 것으로 나타났다. 따라서 본 연구는 지식 경영의 이러한 불균형을 시정할 수 있는 방향으로 앞으로의 투자가 수행되어야 할 것을 제안하고 있다. 산업의 밀도를 비재무적 지표변수로 산정하여 로지스틱회귀 분석과 인공신경망 기법으로 검증하였다. 로지스틱회귀분석 결과에서는 재무적 지표변수 모형의 전체적 예측적중률이 87.50%인 반면에 재무/비재무적 지표모형은 90.18%로서 비재무적 지표변수 사용에 대한 개선의 효과가 나타났다. 표본기업들을 훈련과 시험용으로 구분하여 분석한 결과는 전체적으로 재무/비재무적 지표를 고려한 인공신경망기법의 예측적중률이 높은 것으로 나타났다. 즉, 로지스틱회귀분석의 재무적 지표모형은 훈련, 시험용이 84.45%, 85.10%인 반면, 재무/비재무적 지표모형은 84.45%, 85.08%로서 거의 동일한 예측적중률을 가졌으나 인공신경망기법 분석에서는 재무적 지표모형이 92.23%, 85.10%인 반면, 재무/비재무적 지표모형에서는 91.12%, 88.06%로서 향상된 예측적 중률을 나타내었다.(ⅱ) managemental and strategical learning to give information necessary to improve the making. program and policy decision making, The objectives of the study are to develop the methodology of modeling the socioeconomic evaluation, and build up the practical socioeconomic evaluation model of the HAN projects including scientific and technological effects. Decision Support for Selecting Workflow Software Products

  • There are currently several workflow software products on the market, and they vary in their capabilities and features. Since there is no single workflow product that dominates others in all aspects, it is difficult to evaluate their superiority. Few methods are available about their selection. This paper suggests a decision support method for selecting the most appropriate workflow software products using the Analytic Hierarchy Process method. We prioritize the importance of four classes of workflow applications as well as 13 commercial products.

  • 무선 센서 네트워크 환경에서는 수많은 노드들이 광범위한 영역에 걸쳐 이벤트 정보를 전송한다. 센서들이 이벤트 정보를 정확하고 빠르게 전송하기 위하여 가능한 경로를 탐색하는 라우팅 프로토콜이 반드시 필요하다. 온도와 같은 주변 환경의 급격한 변화를 잘 탐지하도록 설계된 클러스터 기반 계층적 라우팅 프로토콜인 TEEN(Threshold sensitive Energy Efficient sensor Network protocol)을 채택하여 분석하고 단점을 개선하고자 하였다. 따라서 새로운 개념인 SRS(Self Rescue Signal)를 TEEN 프로세스에 적용하여 이벤트 발생 정보를 알 수 없다는 점을 개선하기 위한 방법을 연구하였다.

  • It is well known and widely accepted that the conceptual design is the most influential step in the design process of a product or a system and that about 75% of the life cycle cost is committed as the results of this stage. The purpose of this paper is to present and demonstrate the step of ICDM(Integrated, Customer Driven, Conceptual Design Method) for the development of a ground launcher system, TEL(Transporter, Erector and Launcher). The results of the study show the effectiveness of the method during the conceptual design phase of new complex systems or high-tech products.
