A Study on Analysing of Various Number Formulas Posed by the Mathematically Talent 4th Grade Children in Elementary School (초등학교 4학년 수학 영재학생들이 만든 다양한 계산식에 관한 분석 연구)

  • It is necessary to accumulate the studies on the practical learning and teaching for the Mathematical talent education in elementary school. In this study, I set the 4th grade children mathematically gifted in elementary school to pose the various number calculating formulars, 4 4 4 4 = 0, 1, 2,$\cdots$10, by using to +, -, ${\times}$, $\div$, ( ). And I analysed their products. In 2007, I gave the same task to 5th graders and got a significant result. To expand the target of my study, I used the same investigating method for children of different graders. As a result, I conclude that math brains in 4th grade also can create various many number calculating formulas. I find that children pose to various many calaulating formulars becoming 0, 1, 8, 4 in order whereas they pose to a little calaulating formulars becoming 10, 6, 5, 9 orderly. Most errors are due to the order of calculation or confusion about parenthesis. This study contributes to test methods and text development for math brains in elementary school.

Micro Computer를 이용한 자동차용 belt 설계

  • 흔히 자동차용 belt를 단순한 소모품으로 생각하여 대수롭지 않게 여기는 경향이 있으나 belt slip에 의한 동력의 손실은 매우 큰 것이며 특히 자동차용 belt에 있어서 그 중요성은 상당한 것이다. 왜냐하면 crankshaft에서의 중력이 belt를 통해서 water pump나 air compressor등에 전달되며 이때 동력전달이 제대로 안되는 경우에는 engine은 냉각수와 냉각팬에 의해 냉각이 되지 않아서 금방 고은소착 되기 때문이며, 또한 belt를 너무 조이는 경우에는 water pump bearing의 파손 등을 초래하기 때문에 belt의 정확한 길이 계산이 매우 중요하다. 그러나 이러한 중요성에도 불구하고 belt의 설계계산을 행하는 데는 많은 시간이 걸리며, 간혹 잘못 계산을 하는 경우에는 큰 문제가 발생할 수도 있기 때문에 belt계산의 기본이론식들을 전부 computer program 화하여 시간의 절약과 계산의 오류를 피하고자 한다. Program을 만들기 위해서 사용한 computer는 micro-computer로서 PET (Personal Electric Transactor)2001이며 사용한 언어는 BASIC이다.

  • This study was done the calculation formula for calculating the below item. That is the moisture content of the substrates raw materials, water content of the mixed substrates; the amount of media, dry weight, amount of liquid, bulk density in the bottle; dried materials volume, water volume, mixing ratio in a substrates mixing materials; water requirement amount, replenishment amount for water content control of the substrates and the total amount of substrates. And each was prepared in an Excel file for automatically calculated. The calculation of the Excel file will be able to take advantage for the mushroom growers; to make raw material costs, per bottle nutrient content and moisture content maintained throughout the year and new media composition. At this time we expect, while minimizing the quantity or deterioration in the daily ups and downs continued growing courses throughout the year contribute to stabilizing production.

A Study on Analyzing and Assessing the Divergent Products of the Mathematically Gifted 5th Grade Students in Elementary Schools (초등학교 5학년 수학 영재 학생의 확산적 산출물의 분석 및 평가에 관한 연구)

  • As it is not long since the gifted education was implemented in elementary school, it is necessary to accumulate the practical studies on the mathematically gifted education. This paper focused on enhancing creativity by providing the various and divergent thinking activities for mathematically gifted students. For this purpose, I prepared two mathematics problems, and , and let the mathematically gifted 5th grade students solve them. After that, I investigated to analyse their reactions in detail and tried to find the methods for assessing their divergent products. Finally, I found that they could pose various and meaningful calculating equations and also identify the various relations between two numbers. I expect that accumulating these kinds of practical studies will contribute to the developments of gifted education, in particular, instructions, assessments, and curriculum developments for the mathematically gifted students in elementary schools.

  • IPMSM의 자속은 전류의 크기와 상호간섭 성분에 의해 변하는 비선형성을 가지고 있다. 이런 비선형성 때문에 정확한 토크 제어가 불가능 하다. 이것은 토크 값을 발생하기 위한 정확한 전류의 값을 계산하기가 불가능 하다. 그래서 현재 토크제어가 적용되는 모터에서는 Table을 만들어서 사용한다. 하지만 Table을 만들기 위해서는 실험 장비와 많은 실험을 진행해야 하는 문제가 있다. 본 논문에서는 IPMSM의 자속 모델을 비선형으로 만들어 비선형성이 고려된 토크 식을 제안한다.

  • 확률론적 지진해일 재해도 평가(PTHA)는 최근 지진해일에 대한 연구에서는 관심을 많이 받고 있는 주제로 여러 국가에서 연구가 진행되고 있다. 단층매개변수의 민감도 분석은 일본(Goda et al., 2014), 미국(Sepúlveda and Liu, 2016), 뉴질랜드(D. Burbridge et al., 2015) 등에서 연구가 활발하게 이루어졌으며 현재도 활발한 연구가 진행되고 있다. 민감도 분석은 PTHA를 진행하기 위한 선행 과정으로 파향선 추적을 통한 대상지 설정 및 연구 대상 단층을 선정한 후 로직트리를 만들기 위해 각 단층 매개변수의 범위와 단위 폭을 제시한다. 해당 연구는 세 가지 단층 매개변수에 대한 지진해일 초기파와 파고에 대한 민감도 분석을 실행했다. 주향각은 초기파와 지진해일고에 대해서 임의의 변동을 보이지만 변동 폭은 다른 두 매개변수들과 비교하여 가장 크다. 경사각과 슬립각은 단층의 수직 움직임을 변화시키며 이를 통해 초기파의 변동을 예측할 수 있다. 초기파의 변동과 모양을 분석함으로써 수치 계산이 가설과 유사한 결과를 보임을 확인하였다. 경사각과 슬립각에 의한 지진해일고의 변화는 최저 지진해일고가 초기파의 총 에너지와 연관된다는 결론에 이른다. 지진해일 재해도는 해안지역에 도달하는 최종 파고와 관련이 있으므로 각 매개변수의 단위 폭은 지진해일고의 결과를 통해 선정되었다. 민감도 분석은 제시한 주향각, 경사각, 슬립각의 단위 폭을 이용하여 로직트리의 분기 수를 감소시켜 수치 계산 시간을 줄임으로써 PTHA의 효율성을 증대시킨다.

  • In this paper we present a reordering scheme that could lead to efficient vectorization of the preconditioners for the large sparse linear systems arising from partial differential equations on the CRAY-2, This reordering scheme is a line version of the conventional red/black ordering. This reordering scheme, coupled with a variant of ILU(Incomplete LU) preconditioning, can overcome the poor rate of convergence of the conventional red/black reordering, if relatively large number of fill-ins were used. We substantiate our claim by conducting various experiments on the CRAY-2 machine. Also, the computation of the Frobenius norm of the error matrices agree with our claim.

  • The phase and frequency commands of a ratating radar system that utilizes frequency scanning to steer the beam in the azimuth direction and phase shifters in the elevation direction are derived in terms of the angles of the groung based coordinate system. The antenna type considered is slotted arrays that are easy to construct at such high microwave frequency as the X band. The frequency that has non-linear characteristics as a functio ofthe elevation angle is plotted and the derived frequency equation is aproximated to be a simple form to reduce the calculation time for real time multi-function radar systems. It is shown that the approximated frequency command is in good agreement with the exact one if the range of azimuth scanning is limited by ${\pm}10^{\circ}$.

An Implicit Method to Analysis Unsteady Flow (부정류의 IMPLICIT 수치해석)

  • In order to make a numerical modeling for the one dimensional unsteady flow which expressed by Saint Venant partial differential equations, Preissmann's implicit scheme was used, and it's stability and accuracy was mentioned. By introducing recurrence relations make it possible to use double sweep algorithm. Effective parameters to the result were the values of the $\Delta$t/$\Delta$x, $\theta$ and the chezy coefficient. In oder to get numerical solutions with enough accuracy, $\Delta$t/$\Delta$x should not be far from the value of 1, and the criteria of the $\theta$ was 0.6<$\theta$<1.0 for the stability without condition. This model should be calibrated by real field data, and expected to be developed for the simulation of the river system and to the long wave analysis for one dimensional coastal zone problem.

  • DCT-based codebook design using binary tree was proposed to reduce computation time and to solve the initial codebook problem. In this method, DCT coefficient of training vectors that has maximum variance is to be a split key and the mean of coefficients at the location is used as split threshold, then balanced binary tree for final codebook is formed. However edge degradation appears in the reconstructed image, since the blocks of shade region are frequently selected for codevector. In this paper, we propose DCT-based vector quantization codebook design using unbalanced binary tree. Above all, the node that has the largest split key is splited. So the number of edge codevector can be increased. From the simulation results, this method reconstructs the edge region sincerely and shows higher PSNR than previous methods.
