Recently the construction industry in Korea is facing problems such as low productivity, contraction of the domestic construction market, growing competition, and so on. To enhance the competitiveness continuously through efficiency in this business environments, construction companies need to make efforts to measure and accumulate performance data based on the strategic factors. When analysing performance of construction projects, the unique characteristics of each project should be considered properly, by which the managers can identify current status of project in various perspectives. This study proposes the performance analysis system using the concepts of balanced scorecard and data warehouse technology. The suggested system provides the management with the flexibility in analyzing performance data by applying the pre-defined key performance indicators and the function of multi-dimensional analysis.

Despite its matchless position in the global semiconductor industry, Korea has not distinguished itself in the semiconductor equipment sector. Semiconductor cleaning equipment is one of the semiconductor fabrication equipment, and it is expected to be more important along with the advancement of semiconductor fabrication processes. This study attempts to analyze technology competitiveness of major countries in the sector including Korea, and explore specialty sub-areas of the countries. For this purpose, we collected patents of semiconductor cleaning equipment during the last 10 years from the US patent database, and implemented quantitative patent analysis and co-classification network analysis. The result shows that, the US and Japan have been leading the technological progress in this sector, and Korea's competitiveness has lagged behind not only the leading countries but also its competitors and even latecomers. Therefore, intensive R&D and developing technological capabilities are needed for advancing the country's competitiveness in the sector.

This study have done comparative analysis of Korean banks' restructure and Chinese banks' reformation, especially derives main factors that influence existence and improvement of competitiveness of Korean banks. The study measured effectiveness of 15 Chinese banks and 13 Korean banks, and conducted empirical analysis of what are the factors affect the efficiency of banks. The result and implication are as follow. First, Korean commercial banks' efficiency is higher than banks in China, but Chinese commercial banks are getting better every year. Second, as the factors affect efficiency of the banks, it shows that the scale of bank, asset reliabilities, ownership structure and financial performance are significant. Third, about the factors affect efficiency, the ownership structure, financial intermediation ratio, and the health of the assets are significant in Chinese banks. Fourth, about the factors affect efficiency, the financial performance and asset reliability are significant in Korean banks. Based on the results, we have identified current problems of Chinese and Korean banks, and also pointed out Korean banks and Government how to improve competitiveness of Bank industry.

Applying the shift-share analysis, this paper decomposes FDI inflow into Korea for the period of 2003-2006. The paper finds that Korea has been lagging behind the world average in absorbing inward FDI, thereby recording negative aggregate industry-mix effects and negative aggregate competitive effects as well. However, the following industries have recorded positive competitive effect: electrical and electronic equipment, motor vehicles and other transport equipment, hotels and restaurants, transport, storage and communications, finance, and business services. In a nutshell, Korea is revealed to have competitive advantage in absorbing inward FDI in a few manufacturing industries and most of service industries. Government policies should accordingly be focused on these industries to encourage more inward FDIs.

Due to the development of treatments due to COVID-19, the Firm-value of the pharmaceutical industry has increased. However, the development of treatments has been delayed, and the development of overseas markets has become difficult due to COVID-19. Therefore, this study aims to present an efficient management plan for each firm by analyzing the management efficiency of these firms. As for the research method, DEA analysis was conducted for the pharmaceutical industry. Through this method, we propose values of input variables that inefficient companies can benchmark. As a result of the analysis, there was no significant difference in management efficiency before and after COVID-19, but it was confirmed that the management efficiency of certain Firm decreased. Through this study, it is possible to judge a Firm's survival competitiveness and management strategy, and furthermore, a plan to continuously grow and enhance competitiveness was suggested.

본 연구에서는 우리 나라 M-Commerce산업에 대한 개요 파악 및 환경변화를 분석한 후, 향후 국내 M-Commerce산업의 경쟁력 강화방안을 제시하였다. 이에 따른 방향은 첫째, 커뮤니티나 오락성보다는 기능성에 초점을 맞추어야 하며, 둘째, "표준(Defacto Standard)은 시장이 만든다"라는 원칙에 충실하여야 한다. 셋째, 기존 PC 중심의 유선 인터넷의 연장선상이 아니라 새로운 비즈니스영역으로 파악되도록 하여야 하며, 넷째, M-Commerce의 핵심요건은 "인터넷 편의점", "킬링타임으로서의 5분 컨텐츠"가 되도록 하여야 하며, 다섯째, 컨텐츠를 유료화할 수 있는 전략이 필요하다는 점이다.

본 연구는 부산항에서 차지하는 환적물동량의 위상을 고려하여 환적화물에 대한 정확한 예측을 위한 모델을 수립하는데 그 목적이 있다. 환적물량을 결정짓는 요소로는 부산항의 경쟁력 뿐 아니라 중국 등의 수출입 물동량 증가량과 중국항만의 경쟁력도 중요요소이며, 이들 요소들이 상호간에 영향을 주고 받음에 따라 그러한 순환적 인과관계 분석에 적합한 시스템 다이내믹스(SD) 기법을 활용하여 환적화물에 대한 예측을 시도해 보고자 한다.

This article aims to develop a model for analysing the relationships among the factors affecting the national competitiveness and to explore the future trend of Korea's national competitiveness using a system dynamics approach. For this purpose the article examines the national competitiveness indexes being published by the international institutions such as IMD and WEF. The article also demonstrates how national competitiveness may be strengthened and finally suggests that the national competitiveness should be studied systematically in the future.
