An Experimental Study on the Quality Performance of Chemical Admixtures for High Strength Concrete - Focussed High Range Water Reducer - (고강도 콘크리트용 혼화제의 품질성능에 관한 실험적 연구 - 고성능 감수제를 중심으로-)

  • 본 연구는 고강도 콘크리트 실용화의 일환으로 국내에서 시판되고 있는 고성능 감수제의 품질성능을 평가하기 위한 것이다. 이러한 연구를 위하여 8종류의 고성능 감수제를 대상으로 첨가량에 따른 특성을 비교하였다. 또한 경시변화에 따른 특성을 비교, 분석하기 위하여 슬럼프, 공기량 그리고 압축강도비를 측정하였다. 이 때 고성능 감수제의 품질성능 평가 규준는 JASS 5T-402 규준에 따라 실시하였다. 실험결과 국내에서 시판되는 고성능 감수제는 공기량, 앞축강도비에 대해서는 모두 만족하였지만 슬럼프 경시 저하량은 DA를 제외한 모든 고성능 감수제가 규준치를 초과하였다. 따라서 현장에서 고강도콘크리트를 생산할 경우 배합방법이나 첨가방법을 개선하여 시공성을 확보하는 방안이 필요할 것이다.

Residue by elapsed time of non-enzymatic antioxidants in dentifrice (세치제에 함유된 비효소계 항산화제의 경시변화에 따른 잔류량)

  • Objectives: The purpose of this study is to evaluate the non-enzymatic antioxidants stabilities in dentifrices by ascorbic acid and tocopherol according to the chemical condition. Methods: For the analysis of two antioxidants, HPLC UV detector system was used. HPLC was performed using sodium sulfate, acetonitrile(ACN), methanol(MeOH) and measuring absorbance at 240-295 nm. To confirm general pH reaction of two compounds, buffer solution was prepared for the analysis. The dentifrice was titrated by pH so as to examine the change of elapsed time in dentifrice. Linearity of calibration curve of two antioxidants was measured. Results: Each compound showed good linearity at optimized wavelength as well as showing good precision. General pH reaction of two antioxidants was examined. Ascorbic acid showed the highest residue(63.23%) at pH 10 and the lowest residue(2.77%) at pH 4. Tocopherol showed the highest residue(55.70%) at pH 7 and the lowest residue(3.31%) at pH 4. As a result of changing elapsed time of antioxidants in dentifrice by pH, components were remained stably at low temperature($39.2^{\circ}F$) and pH 7. Conclusions: It is necessary to keep dentifrice including ascorbic acid and tocopherol, and non-enzymatic antioxidants at pH 7 and low temperature for improving chemical stability.

A Study on Field Application of 150MPa Ultra Strength Surface-Exposed Concrete (150MPa급 초고강도 노출콘크리트의 현장적용에 관한 연구)

  • In this paper, we are presenting a case that integrates ultra high strength concrete(150MPa) with surface-exposed concrete. Ahead of the field application, we carried out laboratory experiment and B/P Test for a basic property of concrete(slump flow, air content, 50cm flow time, elapse time change and compression strength) and productivity. The next, we conducted Mock-up Test using simulation specimen to evaluate infilling, surface-finishing and hydration heat of concrete. We had satisfactory results for a basic property and hydration heat of concrete. However at the time of field application, it was occurred rupture of formwork because of high lateral pressure of concrete, and then formwork was reinforced and case-in-place time was adjusted. And regardless of low and high frequency vibration, it occurred to surface-pockmark. In case that applies ultra high strength concrete to surface-exposed concrete, we estimate that it is important of systematic management and improvement of construction.

The Electrical Properties and Aging Effects on the Composition of Mn-Co-Ni NTC Thermistors (Mn-Co-Ni 산화물계 NTC 서미스터의 조성에 따른 전기적 특성과 경시변화)

  • Mn-Co-Ni oxide system has been used as the NTC thermistors for normal temperature applications. Mn-Co-Ni oxide-based thermistors with various compositions were sintered at 1250$^{\circ}C$ for 3 hours and then maintained at 1000$^{\circ}C$ for 3 hours. The electrical properties of the thermistors fabricated were measured. In particular the MCN622 composition (Mn$_3$O$_4$60 wt%, Co$_3$O$_4$20 wt%, NiO 20wt%) exhibited the lowest resistivity and relatively high B constant. The MCN721 composition (Mn$_3$O$_4$70wt%, Co$_3$O$_4$20wt%, NiO 10 wt%) showed the higher resistivity than any other compositions. The aging properties of each composition showed comparatively stable characteristics within ${\pm}$2%.

  • In this study, fluorine-silicate hybrid type crack reducing agent(FS) consisted of fluorine and silicate compounds applied to concrete mix(specification : 25-30-18) between 0.5% and 2.0% at intervals of 0.5% based on cement weight. Experiments for material properties of concrete such as slump, air content and bleeding with elapsed time were performed. Experiment and elucidation for shrinkage crack resistance as well as adiabatic hydration temperature were also carried out. It was appeared that FS addition contributed to lower bleeding and hydration temperature without disturbance of fresh properties of concrete such as slump and air content compared to non-added concrete. Especially, shrinkage crack resistance of concrete resulted from plastic and drying shrinkage could be effectively reduced by the addition of FS ranging from 1.0% to 1.5%.

  • This study was performed to develop jumbo granules floated and spreaded on the water surface after application, having low production and formulation cost, and safe to environment for paddy herbicides and to establish the formulation recipe. The jumbo granules of azimsulfuron with molinate(0.075+7.5%) was formulated by KCl as water soluble carrier and paraffin oil as solvent to impose the floating and spreading force to granules. That showed 100% of total granules to be floated on and spreaded upto the water surface within 25 minutes after application. Change in carriers, surfactants and pH did not affected to improve the time-course degradation of azimsulfuron in jumbo granules, but salt formation of azimsulfuron added by 1.15M solution of NaOH a little. Addition of N-methyl acrylate and modification of formulation process affected decrease in degradation of azimsulfuron upto 1.2, 2.1, and 7.2% after 2, 6 and 12 weeks under storage at $40{\pm}2^{\circ}C$, respectively, which showed the establishment of formulation recipe of the jumbo granules.

  • The symmetric 9-phenyl-5,5'-diphenyl-3,3'-bis-(3-sulfopropyl)-benzoxazolo carbocyanine triethyl ammonium salt is of industrial importance as green-sensitizing dye in the spectral sensitization of emulsion microcrystals in negative film and positive paper-making. The stability on the solvents of benzoxazolo carbocyanine dye was measured by UV-Vis spectrophotometer, and then dye was stabilized in various solvents. The maximum absorption peak range in various solvents was 507nm~515nm. It was identified that the solvents can be used to photographic emulsion.

  • Rigid polyurethane foam (PUF) was synthesized with different contents of aliphatic polyester polyol, aromatic polyester polyol and aliphatic polyether polyol to know change of properties under sea water. UTM(universal testing machine), DSC(differential scanning calorimetry), hardness meter and FT-IR(Fourier transform spectroscopy) were used to study the PUF`s physical properties under sea water. Compressive strength and hardness of PUF decreased with increasing the content of aromatic polyester polyol under sea water as aging. According to the results of IR spectral analysis, reduction of urethane and urea peak was found and allophanate and biuret peak increased. Although glass transition temperature of PUF increased, mechanical properties of PUF decreased under sea water, because PUF gets brittle when crosslink density increase.

  • 현재 AC-PDP의 문제점 중 하나인 오방전 개선을 위한 연구가 진행되고 있다. 본 연구에서는 AC-PDP의 오방전 분석을 위해서 오방전 발생 메커니즘을 분석하고, 패널의 시간 변화에 대한 특성과 고온, 저온에서의 패널 특성을 파악하기 위해 휘도, 방전개시전압, discharge time lag 등을 측정하였다. 그리고 sustain pulse의 수를 조절함으로써 패널내의 priming 조건을 제어하면서 오방전 발생 확률을 수치적으로 측정하였다. 패널의 aging시간에 따라 MgO sputtering 등으로 인한 방전 공간의 변화로 방전개시전압의 변화를 관찰하였으며 그로 인한 오방전 발생이 증가함을 알 수 있었다.
