Theoretical Analysis on the Heat Transport Limitation of a Sintered Metal Wick Heat Pipe (소결윅 히트파이프의 열수송 한계에 관한 이론적 해석)

  • Theoretical analysis for predicting the heat transport limitation of a copper powder sintered wick heat pipe was performed. The heat pipe diameter was 8mm and water was used for working fluid. The particle diameter was classified by 5 different meshes, and each capillary pressures and heat transport limitations. thermal resistances were analyzed according to the operating temperatures, wick thicknesses and inclination angles, based on the effective capillary radius($r_c$), porosity($\varepsilon$), Permeability (K). The wick capillary limitation was increased according as the particle diameter and the wick thickness and the operating temperature were increased. As the porosity and the capillary radius were larger. then the heat transport limitation was higher. The thermal resistance was greatly increased according as the wick thickness was increased.

  • 우수관로의 수리특성에 영향을 미치는 주요 매개변수 중 조도계수 변화에 따른 첨두 수위 변동성을 SWMM으로 분석하고 수위 관측자료와 비교 검증하였다. 모형 적용 조도계수의 범위는 0.015 ~ 0.120이며 0.003 단위로 증가시키며 총 12개 CASE에 대한 모의를 수행하였다. 검토 대상지점은 서울시 방배1, 봉천1, 길동, 신림4, 방배2, 오류1, 천호 배수분구이다. 조도계수 증가에 따른 관내 수위 변동성 검토결과. 방배1 배수분구 22-0001 지점의 경우 조도계수가 0.015에서 0.120으로 증가하면 첨두 수위는 최대 70.3% 높아졌으며 길동 배수분구 25-0003 지점의 경우 103.3%, 신림4 배수분구 21-0002 지점의 경우 78.8% 수위가 상승하였다. 즉, 물리적으로 관로의 조도계수가 증가하면 유속이 감소되고 수위가 증가하는 특성을 보였다. 그러나 상류 인접관로에 만관으로 인한 침수가 발생하는 경우 조도계수가 증가하여도 수위가 상승하지 않는 경우도 있었다. 봉천1 배수분구 21-0004 지점의 경우 조도계수가 0.045를 초과할 때 상류관에서 만관 발생으로 압력관이 형성되며 이러한 영향으로 수위가 상승하지 않는 것으로 분석되었다. 방배2 배수분구의 22-0003 지점, 천호 배수분구의 25-0002 지점의 경우 상류관 침수발생으로 첨두 수위의 역전현상이 발생하였다. 이상의 결과로부터 관로 내 조도계수 증가는 첨두 수위 상승에 큰 영향을 미치며 최대 2배까지 수위가 상승할 수 있음을 알 수 있었다. 반면, 조도계수 상승에 따른 인접관(상류관) 만관 및 침수 발생의 원인으로 일부구간의 경우 수위가 감소하는 경우도 있다. 향후, 유역의 특성, 우수관로의 경사, 규모 등을 고려한 우수관로 수리특성에 따른 수위변동성 분석이 필요할 것으로 판단된다.

  • Artificial roughness as a means of improving heat transfer gains more interest, especially for application to various heat exchanger. This study present experimental information for single-phase free and force convection heat transfer in a circular tube containing a internal spiral ribs. To examine the effect of inclined angle of tube, it was varied from 0 deg to 90 deg (0.deg., 22.5.deg., 45.deg., 90.deg.) with horizontal. Length of tube is 1.6m, and width, height and helix angle of rib are 4.2mm, 1.5mm, and 60 deg respectively. Water was used as a working fluid and test piece was heated with a constant heat flux by electric heater. Experiments have been performed with the range of modified Grashof number from 2 * 10$^{6}$ to 15 * 10$^{6}$ for free convection and with the range of Reynolds number from 3,000 to 40,000 for forced convection. Since the increase in heat transfer coefficients influence directly to the friction coefficient of the tube, the changes of the friction factors are also presented for several different cases considered in this investigation.

  • Augmenting-reducing evoked potentials(AREP) were studied in 38 college students to explore the topographic distribution between AR slope and personality. The Zuckerman Seeking Scale(SSS) and Eysenck Personality Questionnaire(EPQ) assessed personality. There was a significant positive correlation between AR slope and Extraversion-Introversion(E) in the frontocentral area ; the right posterior area showed a significant negative correlation with E. The Thrill and Adventure Seeking(TAS) subscale showed a significant negative correlation with slope in the right posterior temporal area. The average slope map of all subjects revealed a distribution showing more augmenting in frontocentral areas and more reducing in posterior areas.

  • By the continuous and heavy rainfall of 615 mm during 15 days, landslide disaster occurred on July 5, 1985 at a steep-sloped land in Munhyon-dong, Pusan. This landslide was sized about 50 m long at slided part and 50 m long at buried part down, 30 m in average width, and 2 m in average depth respectively. 37 human lives and the great amount of properties have been last as the result of this landslide from the steep-sloped land. Summarizing the results of this study, the national-wide plan for the steep sloped land failure control measures on the steep-sloped possible-danger places should be established in Korea.

  • Together with the emerging of the Eco-ship, the application of large-diameter and high-efficiency propeller required more careful attention than before in the design of the shafting system. After the adoption of Environmentally Acceptable Lubricants (EAL) to the stern tube lubrication oil, a number of aft stern tube bearing accidents have been reported, and a variety of institutions have actively conducted research on the cause relationship. This study attempted to find the cause of the accident by measuring the alignment of the shafting system of a medium-sized product/chemical tanker with aft stern tube bearing damage and analyzing the reaction force of each bearing. In addition, a reasonable solution to the correction of the shaft alignment was suggested and the feasibility was reviewed. Through various measured data and analysis, the actual installation of shafting system was slightly different from the design drawing condition, but it was found that each bearing load distribution was within the allowable range. Therefore, it was confirmed that the cause of this accident was due to the dissatisfaction the misalignment slope of aft stern tube bearing rather than the effect of the bearing overload. As a solution to this cause, countermeasures such as double slope were suggested in the aft stern tube bearing, and the characteristics of EAL also seem to have an indirect effect.

  • This study aims is consider the life and study viewpoint of Choi-Ja who lived in during the Musin regime of Koryo Dynasty. During this period, knowledge of the Confucian scriptures gradually generalized among scholars and writers. Therefore, it was possible to create an atmosphere that criticized sajanghak(詞章學). Choi-Ja regrets that people' reading style is not correct at the time. People are only trying to learn to participate in social exams and learn to read and write articles related to the Civil servant examination. Nevertheless, if he passed the Civil servant examination he criticized the government for failing to study harder, even though he had to work harder. Choi-Ja lamented that the intellectuals basically did not read about the Kyeongsabaekka(經史百家) and on the outward appearance. His scholarly attitude implies that he can be recognized as a genuine learningexperience when he forms the moral character of his inner self rather than his outward form. Choi-Ja' emphasis on six Confucian writings indicates that his virtues ere based on the Confucian spirit of Confucius. He pointed out the abuses of intellectuals at the time of his poems to build poems based on these Confucian traditions. He emphasized that the government ought to reflect on the Confucian scriptures and histories of the Confucian scriptures and reflect the politics of the people and improve the mood of the people.

Effect of Embankment-Pile on Preventing Lateral Movement of Buried Pipe (성토지지말뚝의 지하매설관 측방이동 방지효과)

  • To observe the behavior of lateral deformation of buried pipe and the preventing effect of embankment piles against the lateral deformation, a series of full-scale field tests were performed on a reclaimed coastal area. A buried pipe was installed in the west coast undergoing reclamation and embankment was performed by three steps. Then vertical settlement and lateral displacement were measured by the settlement plate and the inclinometer. Embankment pile system were applied to prevent the lateral displacement of buried pipe. Heave of the buried pipe slightly happens during embankment and following settlement. Finally the behavior steadily converged. The preventing effect of the embankment pile was approximately two times stronger than non-reinforcement. Both settlement and lateral displacement appear to be bigger at upper ground and smaller at lower ground.

Optimal Design of Storm Sewer by Computations of Feasible Hydraulic Gradient Line (합리적 동수위 계산을 통한 최적 배수관로 설계)

  • 최근 빈발하는 국지성 호우나 태풍에 의한 집중호우로 도시지역의 내배수불량으로 인하여 저지대 및 지하공간의 침수현상이 빈번히 야기하고 있는 실정이다. 특히 연안이나 외수위의 영향으로 강제배수가 요구되는 지역인 경우에는 개발에 앞서 선결해야할 중요한 재해저감대책 중의 하나이다. 이에 본 연구에서는 연안의 해수면 및 하천 홍수위로 인한 계획단지 내 배수관로의 동수위 산정을 위한 유출모의를 수행하였다. 연안저지대의 순성토 지역인 경우 동수위 계산에 따른 성토량에 의한 비용이 전체 공사비 결정 요인의 가장 큰 부분을 차지하고 있으므로 이에 따른 경제적이면서 치수안전도를 증가시킬 수 있는 계산 방법을 정립하는 것은 선결되어야 할 문제이다. 이를 위해 도시유역에 범용적으로 사용되고 있는 SWMM 모형을 활용하였다. SWMM 모형 중에서 EXTRAN 블록을 통한 유출모의는 관거내 동수경사를 계산하여 배수, 역류, 압력류, 월류까지도 모의할 수 있다. 다양한 조건으로 배수관로의 설계를 통한 동수위와 성토고를 분석하여 조건별 경제성과 치수안전도를 검토할 수 있으나 관로 크기, 경사, 방향 등을 우선하여 변경해가면서 최적안을 확인하였다. 검토된 계산 절차에 따라서 향후 지형적으로 유사한 지역에서의 배수시스템 설계에 적용 및 기존 배수관망 재설계 및 확장 등의 검토에 효과적으로 적용할 수 있을 것이다.

Analysis of Pipe network by Stormcad (Stormcad를 이용한 관망해석)

  • 우리나라는 유로연장이 짧고, 경사도가 심하며, 산업화가 진행되면서 무분별한 개발로 인해 불투수층 면적이 많고, 이상기후로 인한 국지성 호우로 인해 소규모 지역의 피해가 심각한 실정이다. 따라서 피해를 줄이기 위해서는 소규모 지역의 정확한 데이터베이스 구축과 정확한 분석이 필요하다. 본 연구에서는 합리식과 절점유출형 해석법을 통하여 STORMCAD 모델과 비교 분석하여 모델의 적용가능성을 검토 하였다. 분석 방법은 합리식을 이용한 유역의 유출량은 강우강도 10분에 1.90($m^3$/sec), 1.92($m^3$/sec), 60분에 0.82($m^3$/sec), 0.87($m^3$/sec)로 STORMCAD가 조금 높게 나 타났지만, 큰 차이를 보이지 않았다. 각 절점 결과에서 다소 차이를 나타내는 절점이 있지만 대부분 비슷한 유출 형태를 보였다. TR-55방법을 이용하여 관의 유속을 분석한 결과는 TR-55가 STORMCAD에 비해서 높은 값을 나타내었다. 이는 절점 사이의 간격을 줄이거나 경사도를 완만하게 함으로써 차이를 줄일 수 있을 것으로 판단 된다. 연구결과 STORMCAD 모델을 이용하여 계산된 모의 결과 값이 큰 이론적인 값과 큰 차이를 보이지 않으므로 실무에서도 유용하게 적용 할 수 있을 것으로 판단된다.
