  • In this paper, we present an optimal design method for wave power generators using the response surface analysis. Especially, in our method, we reduce the mechanical loss by selecting the linear generator whose linear movement can be converted to the electrical energy directly with the vertical movement of waves. Therefore, we calculate the exciting force acting on the drive device in a slow-wave condition and determine the winding process with a ratio of the slots and poles for the improvement of energy conversion efficiency. In addition, we employ the regression analysis for deriving the shape factors of the stator and the translator, which have a significant effect on the performance of a generator. We choose the best design variables through the response surface analysis, and then we study the optimization method for designing the efficient experiment using the analysis results. Finally, we show the validity of the proposed method through the simulation results.

  • E. H. KIM, E. S. CHOI, D, H. NAM, S. S. KIM, J. W. CHUNG and T. W. KIM, The Instrumenfal Development for Pulling . Reaping Training & Measuring in Judo.Korean Jiurnal of Sport Biomechanics, Vol. 18, No. 1, pp. 213-226, 2008. The purpose of this study was to develop a judo-doll uke(partner : doll-uke) for training and measurement applicable to pulling, pushing and reaping in judo. In Judo the most common techniques consist of the pulling, pushing and sweep which all need to be practiced with a partner. So the research needs to develop a measurement system that can be used to evaluate the forces involved with these techniques. Also the Doll-Uke must be developed so that judokas can train alone. After the manufacture of Doll-Uke the usefulness of it must be evaluated. The height of a Doll-Uke is l70cm and its weight is 50kg. Doll-Uke was developed with a trunk angle of 55 and the lower extremities of an angle of 45. The Doll-Uke can also measure the forces developed during the pulling, pushing and sweep. Due to the ability of the system to measure the forces while preforming Judo techniques feedback can be provided to the Judokas to improve their performance.

  • The purpose of this study is to examine the causes of errors from EGR posture on the balance beam, which is bending flick-flack salto backward stretched national team players through kinematic analysis, and present training methods for them so as to provide scientifically useful information to coaches and athlete. Findings from this study are summarized below. The most important factors that affect the errors in boyd center position and speed change were the speed change of left and right body centers and the horizontal and vertical speed changes. The left and right acceleration changes were greater in failed posture than in successful posture. The horizontal and vertical accelerations in E3 and E5 were the key factors that affected the backward somersault and landing. The angular speed changes which varied between success and failure were notable in head and shoulder joints. In individual results. The section when the angular speeds of head and shoulder joint must be the greatest was E4. In this section, when the body is extending instantly in a bent posture, increasing the angular speeds of head, shoulder and hip joints can improve the duration of staying in the air and the rotation radius of a somersault.
