$H_\infty$Control Synthesis for Robust Control of a Turbo-Generator (터-빈 발전기의 견실성 제어를 위한$H_\infty$제어 시스템 설계)

  • This paper presented to design a robust turbo-generator control system using {{{{ { H}_{$\infty$ } }}}} control synthesis for improving small-signal stability. Application study of{{{{ { H}_{$\infty$ } }}}} control synthesis is more appropriate in this system since a turbo-generator system is usually operated under circumstance of unmeasurable modelling uncertainty and external disturbance. The{{{{ { H}_{$\infty$ } }}}} control theory was briefly reviewed for good understanding and the reasonable approach. The design results are simulated for a case study and to check the system performance in comparison with currently operating Lead/Lag filtered PSS performance.

  • An adaptive control algorithm for a plant with unmodelled dynamics is proposed. The upper bounds of the output due to the unmodelled dynamics and measurement noise is assumed to be known. Linear programming is used in estimating the bounds of plant parameters. Projection type algorithm is used in estimating the plant parameter with these bounds. This algorithm is nearly the same as those proposed by Kreisselmeier or Middleton except that the bounds are computed by linear programming. The stability of the proposed algorithm Can be proved in nearly the same way as that of Middleton. Simulation results show that the proposed algorithm gives better parameter convergence and smaller overshoot in the plant output than the algorithm without computing the bounds of plant parameters by linear programming.

  • In this paper, the robust controller design is performed for the speed control of the underwater vehicle diesel engine. Nonlinear model equations are acquired through the mathematical modeling using mean torque production model technique. It is very difficult to design the robust controller because those are high nonlinear and not expressed in terms of the matched uncertainty Therefore those are converted into the separable model into the linear nominal system and the nonlinear uncertainty term.

  • An new class of robust position/force hybrid control law is proposed for uncertain robot manipulators. The uncertainty is nonlinear and (plssibly fast) time-varying. Therefore, the uncertain factors such as imper- fect modeling, friction, payload change, and external disturbance are all addressed. Based on the possible bound of the uncertainty, the controller is constructed and the stability study based on Lyapunov function is presented. To show that the proposed control laws are indeed applicable, the theoretical result is applied to a SCARA-type robot manipulator and simulation result is presented.

  • In this study, wer derived LMF-Sato, LMSF-Sato complex blind equalization algorithms for complex data. And then, the convergence rates, the convergence characteristics at the steady state and the stability of the proposed LMF and LMSF blind equalization algorithms are compared with those of LMS-Sato blind equalization algorithm. In simulations with 16-QAM data, LMF-Sato and LMSF-Sato algorithms showed better performance comparing with LMS-Sato algorithm generally. When the initial estimation errors of the weights of the equalizer are large, LMF-Sato algorithm showed ill characteristic in stability. However, LMSF-Sato algorithm has good covergence characteristics and preserves robustness.

  • This paper presents matrix inequality conditions for Η$_2$control and Η$_2$controller design method of linear time-invariant descriptor systems with parameter uncertainties in continuous and discrete time cases, respectively. First, the necessary and sufficient condition for Η$_2$control and Η$_2$ controller design method are expressed in terms of LMI(linear matrix inequality) with no equality constraints in continuous time case. Next, the sufficient condition for Hi control and Η$_2$controller design method are proposed by matrix inequality approach in discrete time case. Based on these conditions, we develop the robust Η$_2$controller design method for parameter uncertain descriptor systems and give a numerical example in each case.

  • 본 논문은 마이크로 프로세스로 처리되는 여러 제어장치들 중에서 PI제어기의 최적 자동동조에 관한 개선된 방법을 제안하고자 한다. 이 방법은 Relay 자동동조 법으로서 이를 마이크로 프로세스에 응용하여 제어대상에 최적의 PI계수를 입력하게된다. 이를 위해 먼저 Computer와 DSP사이에 통신이 가능하도록 RS-232를 설치하고, 컴퓨터의 제어신호에 따라 모터의 속도가 Relay와 PI제어기에 의해 목표값에 도달할 수 있도록 설계하였다. 내부적으로 사용된 Relay 동조방식은 Relay로 제어대상의 출력을 강제로 진등시켜서 출력의 진폭과 주기를 이용하여 PI 계수를 조정하고 제어기의 입력값으로 선택된다. Relay동조 법은 동조과정이 간단하여 동조 방식의 구현이 쉽다. 또 위상여유를 고려하여 제어기의 계수를 조정하기 때문에 시스템의 견실성을 향상시킬 수 있을 뿐 아니라, 비례 제어만으로 임계 진동을 하지 않는 시스템의 경우에도 사용할 수 있고, 원점에 극점이 있는 경우에도 적용할 수 있어서 기존의 제어방식이 가지는 제약성의 한계를 극복할 수 있어서 적용성이 우수하다.

  • Productivity is one of key management indexes for evaluating soundness of a manufacturing organization and its efficiency. In many aspects of productivity management in the construction industry, however, intuition of an experienced field manager still plays a greater role while productivity data is not utilized efficiently for the construction management purposes, because the collection and analysis of the productivity-related information are not systematic. Lack of systematic method in collecting and analyzing the productivity data results in such problems. The existing WBS should therefore be improved to solve them. The authors developed a new WBS for productivity data collection and analysis by following the research direction that was determined by literature reviews, overseas cases, and interviews with field engineers. The new breakdown structure was then evaluated for its feasibility as a productivity analysis framework. It is expected that the productivity data collected by the WBS will be used for OLAP and mining for future productivity forecast.

Fuzzy $H^{\infty}$ Controller Design for Uncertain Nonlinear Systems (불확실성을 갖는 비선형 시스템의 퍼지 $H^{\infty}$ 제어기 설계)

  • This paper presents a method for designing robust fuzzy $H^{\infty}$ controllers which stabilize nonlinear systems with parameter uncertainty adn guarantee an induced $L_{2}$ norm bound constraint on disturbance attenuation for all admissible uncertainties. Takagi and Sugeno's fuzzy models with uncertainty are used as the model for the uncertain nonlinear systems. Fuzzy control systems utilize the concept of so-called parallel distributed compensation(PDC). Using a single quadratic Lyapunov function, the stability condition satisfying decay rate and disturbance attenuation condition for Takagi and Sugeno's fuzzy model with parameter uncertainty are discussed. A sufficient condition for the existence of robust fuzzy $H^{\infty}$ controllers is then presented in terms of linear matrix inequalities(LMIs). Finally, design examples of robust fuzzy $H^{\infty}$ controllers for uncertain nonlinear systems are presented.

항만종합개발계획(PMP)의 적응력 제고 방안

  • 당해 항만의 장기개발방향을 제시하는 항만종합개발계획(Port Master Planning; PMP)은 향후 해당 항만의 확충 정비 개발을 위한 기본계획이나, 계획의 실행단계에서 많은 한계에 봉착하게 된다. 이 연구에서는 전통적인 PMP의 한계점을 분석한 후, 미래의 불확실성에 대응하기 위한 적응계획(adaptive planning) 방법론을 검토하고, 로테르담항만의 적응계획법 적용 사례 소개 및 시사점을 도출하여, 우리나라 항만개발계획의 견실성과 적응성을 제고할 수 있는 방안을 제시하였다.
