실물크기 능동형 제어장치의 수치모델 및 실험에 기초한 성능 평가 (Performance Evaluation of the Full-Scale Active Mass Dampers based on a Numerical Model and Test)

  • 본 연구에서는 인천공항 제2계류장 관제소에 설치될 예정인 AMD에 선형제어알고리즘인 속도피드백 알고리즘을 적용하여 제어효율 및 안전성을 평가하였다. 공장성능시험 결과와 수치해석 프로그램의 해석결과를 비교하여 AMD가 설계의도대로 제어를 수행하는지 여부를 분석하였다. 또한 제어알고리즘에 의한 순수제어력에 추가되는 게인스케줄링과 원점보정신호가 제어력에 미치는 영향을 실험을 통해 확인하였다. AMD의 성능시험 결과 게인스케줄링과 원점보정신호는 제어효율에 큰 영향을 미치지 않음을 확인하였으며, 구조물에 큰 외력이 작용하는 경우에 발생하는 AMD 질량체의 과도한 이동으로 인해 구조물에 손상을 입힐 수 있는 문제에 대한 안전성을 검증하였다. 추가적으로 제어효율지수를 도입하여 AMD의 제어 상태를 모니터링한 결과, 적용된 알고리즘이 효과적으로 구조물을 제어함을 확인하였다.

  • As the demand for industrial robots and Automated Guided Vehicles (AGVs) increases, higher performance is also required from them. Fuzzy controllers, as part of an intelligent control system, are a direct control method that leverages human knowledge and experience to easily control highly nonlinear, uncertain, and complex systems. This paper uses a $LabVIEW^{(R)}-based$ fuzzy controller with gain scheduling to demonstrate better performance than one could obtain with a fuzzy controller alone. First, the work area was set based on forward kinematics and inverse kinematics programs. Next, $LabVIEW^{(R)}$ was used to configure the fuzzy controller and perform the gain scheduling. Finally, the proposed fuzzy gain scheduling controller was compared with to controllers without gain scheduling.

게인 스케줄링을 이용한 광대역 온도제어기의 설계 (Design of Temperature based Gain Scheduled Controller for Wide Temperature Variation)

  • This paper focused on the design of an efficient temperature controller for a plant with a wide range of operating temperatures. The greater the temperature difference a plant has, the larger the nonlinearity it is exposed to in terms of heat transfer. For this reason, we divided the temperature range into five sections, and each was modeled using ARMAX(auto regressive moving average exogenous). The movement of the dominant poles of the sliced system was analyzed and, based on the variation in the system parameters with temperature, optimal control parameters were obtained through simulation and experiments. From the configurations for each section of the temperature range, a temperature-based gain-scheduled controller (TBGSC) was designed for parameter variation of the plant. Experiments showed that the TBGSC resulted in improved performance compared with an existing proportional integral derivative (PID) controller.

  • This study presents a model-based gain scheduling strategy for PI-based EGR controllers. The air-to-fuel ratio is used as an indirect measurement of the EGR rate. In order to cope with the nonlinearity and parameter varying characteristics of the EGR system, we proposed a static gain model of the EGR system using a new scheduling parameter. With the 810 steady-state measurements, the static gain model achieved 0.94 of R-squared value. Based on the static gain of the EGR system, the PI gains were robustly designed using quantitative feedback theory. Consequently, the gains of the PI controller are scheduled according to the static gain parameter of the EGR path in runtime. The proposed model-based gain scheduling strategy was validated through various operating conditions of engine experiments such as setpoint step responses and disturbance rejections.

  • 본 논문에서는 두 바퀴로 구동되는 역진자기반의 1인승 차량의 안정적인 균형을 위해 제어기를 설계하였다. 탑승자의 몸무게에 따라 전체 질량이 달라지므로 그에 따른 PID 제어기의 이득값을 실험적으로 구하였다. 이 때 탑승자의 몸무게에 따라 무게 중심이 달라지게 되는데, 이는 밸런싱 각도에 영향을 미치게 된다. 따라서, 안정적인 균형을 이루기 위해서는 몸무게에 따른 목표 밸런싱 각도를 수정하여 제어해야 한다. 다양한 탑승자의 몸무게를 측정하기 위해 차량에 체중계를 달고 측정된 체중 데이터를 컴퓨터로 전송하여 제어기에 적용하였다. 다양한 실험으로 얻은 정보를 사용하여 제어기의 게인 스케줄링을 통하여 보다 안정적인 균형을 유지할 수 있었다.

  • This paper presents a scheme for integrating PID control, gain scheduling and emerging techniques in the field of artificial intelligence, such as fuzzy logic and genetic algorithms for the speed control of a marine diesel engine. At first, local PID controllers are designed based on a local model obtained at each speed mode, whose parameters are optimally tuned using a real-coded genetic algorithm. Then, fuzzy "if-then" rules combine the local controllers as a consequence part to implement fuzzy gain scheduling. To demonstrate the performance of the proposed fuzzy PID controller on overall operating conditions, a set of simulation works on B'||'&'||'W's 4L80MC diesel engine are carried out.t.

  • This paper describes performance of the modified gain scheduling controller by speed control of a DC motor. The modified gain scheduling controller can perform tracking at more than one equilibrium points. The modified gain scheduling controller which considers transient response according to added zero shows better result of tracking performance than the unmodified gain scheduling controller shows.

  • This paper describes an approach for synthesizing a Fuzzy Logic Controller(FLC) that combines the benefits of fuzzy logic control and fuzzy logic gain scheduling for the F/A-18 aircraft. Specially, fuzzy rules are utilized on-line to determine the denoralization factor(Κ) of a feedback fuzzy controller based on the dynamic pressure(Q) indicateing the region of the flight envelop the aircraft is operating in. Simulation results demonstrate that the proposed FLC provides excellent compensation for time-varying and/or nonlinear characteristics of the aircraft, and that it also exhibits satisfactory robustness with noisy air data sensors.

  • The looper control of hot strip finishing mill is one of the most important control item In hot strip rolling mill process. Loopers are placed between finishing mill stands and control the mass flow of the two stands. Another important action of the looper is to control the strip tension which influences on the width of the strip. So it is very important to control both the looper angle and the strip tension simultaneously but the looper angle and the strip tension are strongly interacted by each other. The gain scheduling is to break the control design process into two steps. First, one designs local linear controllers based on linerizations of the nonlinear system at several different operating conditions. Second, a global nonlinear controller for the nonlinear system is obtained by interpolating.
