Even though information in many languages other than English is quickly increasing, English is still playing the role of the lingua franca and being accounted for the largest proportion on the web. Therefore, it is necessary to investigate the key features and differences between "information searching behavior using mother tongue as a search language" and "information searching behavior using English as a search language" of users who are non-mother tongue speakers of English to acquire more diverse and abundant information. This study conducted the experiment on the web searching which is applied in concurrent think-aloud method to examine the information searching behavior and the cognitive process in Korean search and English search through the twenty-four undergraduate students at a private university in South Korea. Based on the qualitative data, this study applied the frequency analysis to web search pattern under search language. As a result, it is active, aggressive and independent information searching behavior in Korean search, while information searching behavior in English search is passive, submissive and dependent. In Korean search, the main features are the query formulation by extract and combine the terms from various sources such as users, tasks and system, the search range adjustment in diverse level, the smooth filtering of the item selection in search engine results pages, the exploration and comparison of many items and the browsing of the overall contents of web pages. Whereas, in English search, the main features are the query formulation by the terms principally extracted from task, the search range adjustment in limitative level, the item selection by rely on the relevance between the items such as categories or links, the repetitive exploring on same item, the browsing of partial contents of web pages and the frequent use of language support tools like dictionaries or translators.

Recently, the amount of image on the Internet has rapidly increased, due to the advancement of smart devices and various approaches to effective image retrieval have been researched under these situation. Existing image retrieval methods simply detect the objects in a image and carry out image retrieval based on the label of each object. Therefore, the semantic gap occurs between the image desired by a user and the image obtained from the retrieval result. To reduce the semantic gap in image retrievals, we connect the module for multiple objects classification based on deep learning with the module for human behavior classification. And we combine the connected modules with a behavior ontology. That is to say, we propose an image retrieval system considering the relationship between objects by using the combination of deep learning and behavior ontology. We analyzed the experiment results using walking and running data to take into account dynamic behaviors in images. The proposed method can be extended to the study of automatic annotation generation of images that can improve the accuracy of image retrieval results.

최근 VHDL 코딩 및 합성방법에 의한 설계가 널리 사용되고 있다. 집적도가 증가함에 따라 VHDL에 의한 설계 또한 그 분량이 증가하여 많은 코딩오류가 발생하고 있으며, 이를 검색하는데 많은 시간과 노력이 소요되고 있다. 본 논문에서는 VHDL 행위-레벨 설계를 대상으로 코딩오류를 검색하는 방법을 제안하였다. 그 방법에 있어서는 검색패턴을 생성하여 오류가 없는 응답과 설계의 응답을 비교함으로써 설계오류를 찾는 방법을 택하였다. 따라서 본 논문에서는 코딩오류를 검색하기 위한 검색패턴을 생성하는 알고리듬을 제안하였다. 검색패턴 생성은 각 코드에 대해 수행하며, 할당오류와 조건오류를 구분하여 수행하였다. 패턴생성을 위해 VHDL 코드를 CDFG로 변환하여 사용하며, CDFG상의 경로를 탐색하여 패턴생성에 필요한 정보를 추출한다. 경로탐색은 오류가 발생하였다고 가정한 지점으로부터 역방향 탐색과 정방향 탐색을 수행하여 패턴을 생성한다. 제안한 알고리듬은 C-언어로 구현하였다. 펜티엄-Ⅱ 400MHz의 환경에서 여러 가지 VHDL 행위-레벨 설계를 대상으로 제안한 알고리듬을 적용하였다. 그 결과, 고려한 모든 설계의 모든 코드에 대한 검색패턴을 생성할 수 있었으며, 가정한 모든 오류를 검색할 수 있었다. 검색패턴 생성에 소요되는 시간은 고려한 모든 대상 설계에서 1초 미만의 CPU 시간을 보여 속도면에서도 매우 우수함을 나타내었다. 따라서 본 논문에서 제안한 검색방법은 VHDL에 의한 설계에서 설계검증에 필요한 시간과 노력을 상당히 감소시킬 것으로 기대된다.

Information retrieval on World Wide Web is very different from the one in traditional environment. Since Internet user's searching behavior shows it's own special search characteristics, a study of user's specific characteristics is necessary to offer better services. Through analysis and examination of Internet user behaviors, we suggest guidelines of design for developing Internet -based information retrieval systems.

This study aims to understand international students' web search behaviors. During the experiment, fifteen international students were asked to conduct three search tasks which includes six search questions. Depending on the characteristics of search task, there were differences in search performance and search behavior. It was commonly found that participants with higher Korean fluency showed higher search performance; however, prior knowledge about the search topic did not always affect the search performance. In the search tasks that required navigation through menus and links within one web domain, participants often overlooked the correct answers, even if they were at the webpages containing the correct answer. Also, some participants did not realized that they found wrong answers. For enhancing information seeking behaviors among foreigners in Korea, the followings were suggested: 1) to design websites which are easy for non-native speakers to navigate, and 2) to use social media as a means of interactive communication.

본 논문은 악성 스크립트를 탐지하는 새로운 방법을 제안한다. 정보검색 기법을 이용하여 정상 스크립트들을 기능별로 구분하여 정상 행위를 정의함으로써, 정상 행위에서 벗어나는 경우에 악성이라고 판정한다. 소스 기반의 빠른 검색이 가능하며, 실시간 모니터링을 통한 비정상 스크립트의 탐지가 가능하다. 또한 새로운 악성 스크립트가 생성되는 경우에도 탐지가 가능하다는 장점을 가지고 있다.

The web is a new information environment, which has different characteristics from a traditional IR environment. Needed are more research from a new point of view as well as the adoption of a new research paradigm in order to understand a user-system interaction on the web. The purpose of this study is to review and analyze models of web-based information seeking behavior, which Wang, Hawk ＆ Tenopir, Hsieh-Yee, Choo, Detlor ＆ Turnbull, Chun ＆ Cooper, Rieh, and Spink proposed. The comparative analysis indicates that web-based information seeking models are categorized into three area: interaction model, information seeking behavior model, and evaluation model, and that they are based on a multifaceted interaction and a nonlinear perspective.

소프트웨어 컴포넌트의 재사용은 새로운 소프트웨어를 개발하기 위해 이미 개발되어진 컴포넌트나 적절하게 수정된 컴포넌트를 사용하는 것이다. 따라서 컴포넌트 저장소에 저장되어 있는 컴포넌트를 효율적으로 검색할 수 있어야 하며, 검색된 컴포넌트를 적용하여 새로운 소프트웨어를 개발할 수 있어야 한다. 이 논문에서는 컴포넌트 저장소에 XML 기반으로 명세된 컴포넌트들의 검색 방법과 소프트웨어 아키텍쳐 재구성을 위한 구조 검색 방법을 제안한다. 제안한 검색 방법에서 시그니쳐 일치 방법은 컴포넌트 검색의 재현율을 향상시키며, 행위 일치 검색은 컴포넌트 검색의 정확성을 향상시킬 수 있다. 또한, 구조 검색 방법은 소프트웨어 아키택쳐의 재구성을 위해 컴포넌트의 구조적인 관점에서 컴포넌트를 검색할 수 있다.

This study examines overall user experience associated with Web search engine use including selection, usage of search features, evaluation. The data were collected through individual interviews with 28 faculty members and graduate students. It was found that users tend to select a search engine based on experience and knowledge of certain features and familiarity with an engine itself more than based on previous experience with search results. The results showed the users had mixed opinions regarding cross language retrieval while they did not believe the usage of operators effect the search results. It appears that users are interested in interface design as well as the accuracy of search results.
