The Relationship between Apartment Price Index and Naver Trend Index (아파트가격지수와 네이버 트렌드지수 간의 연관성)

  • This paper investigates empirically the lead-lag relation between the 'apartment price index' and 'Internet search volume'. This study uses Naver Trend Index as a proxy for Internet search volume. An increase in Internet search volume on the apartment price index indicates an increase in people's attention to an apartment. Different from previous studies exploring the relation between 'the released price index of the apartment' and 'Naver Trend Index', this study investigates the relation of the Naver Trend Index with 'the fundamental price component of an apartment' and 'the transitory price component of an apartment', respectively. The results of the Granger causality test reveal that there are bidirectional Granger causalities between the 'released price' and Naver Trend Index. In addition, the 'fundamental price component of an apartment' and Naver Trend Index have a feedback relation, while 'the transitory price component of an apartment' Granger causes the Naver Trend Index uni-directionally. The impulse response function analysis indicates that the shock of apartment prices increases Naver Trend Index in the first month. Overall, The close relationship between apartment prices and Naver Trend Index suggests that increases in the movement of apartment prices are positively associated with public attention on the apartment market.

Deep learning forecasting for financial realized volatilities with aid of implied volatilities and internet search volumes (금융 실현변동성을 위한 내재변동성과 인터넷 검색량을 활용한 딥러닝)

  • In forecasting realized volatility of the major US stock price indexes (S&P 500, Russell 2000, DJIA, Nasdaq 100), internet search volume reflecting investor's interests and implied volatility are used to improve forecast via a deep learning method of the LSTM. The LSTM method combined with search volume index produces better forecasts than existing standard methods of the vector autoregressive (VAR) and the vector error correction (VEC) models. It also beats the recently proposed vector error correction heterogeneous autoregressive (VECHAR) model which takes advantage of the cointegration relation between realized volatility and implied volatility.

The Effect of Portal Search Intensity on Stock Price Synchronicity and Risk: Evidence from Korea (한국 포털 사이트 검색강도가 주가 동조성 및 위험에 미치는 영향)

  • Recent Studies emphasize the effect of investors attention, recognition and sentiment on the trading behavior of retail investors and stock price variation. In this study, we use Naver Trend to measure investors'attention and investigate the relation between investor attention and price synchronicity, total risk and systematic risk of stocks. Using various research methodologies such as portfolio analysis, fixed effect regression and dynamic panel analysis, we find consistent results. First, stock price synchronicity is increased with lager average search volume, but with less search variability. Second, both average search volume and its variability are positively related to total risk and beta of stocks. These results can be interpreted that search volume sharply increases only when stock-related event occurs.

  • 내용기반 이미지검색을 위한 기존의 색인구조들은 데이터 객체들을 대표하는 특성들이 증가함에 따라 검색시간 또는 공간요구량이 지수 함수적으로 증가하게 되는 문제점이 있다. 본 논문은 내용기반 이미지검색을 위한 기존의 색인구조들을 분석하여 새로운 색인구조가 갖추어야할 요구조건을 제시한 후, 제시된 요구조건들을 만족하는 새로운 색인구조 CIR-트리를 제안한다. 제안된 방법의 우수성을 보이기 위해 실험을 통하여 색인구조들에 관한 성능을 여러 환경에서 비교하고 분석한다. 이를 통해 제안된 CIR-트리가 기존의 색인구조들에 비해 고차원에 적합하면서 검색시간과 저장공간면에서 성능이 우수함을 보인다.

The Effect of Portal Search Intensity on Stock Price Crash (포털 검색 강도가 주가 급락에 미치는 영향에 관한 연구)

  • Recent studies focus on the role of investor attention and transparency in stock-related information in explaining stock return and trading volume. Moreover, recent literatures predict that firm opacity will increase the likelihood of future stock price crashes. In this paper, we investigate, using Naver Trend, the relation between portal search intensity and stock price crash. Using various alternative measures of stock price crash risk and search intensity, we demonstrate that stocks with larger volume of portal search are less likely to experience stock price crashes. These results are consistent with our hypothesis that accumulated firm opacity cause future stock price crash. Finally, our results still hold even after we control for the potential effect of endogeneity in the regression specifications.

Assessment of Public Awareness on Invasive Alien Species of Freshwater Ecosystem Using Conservation Culturomics (보전문화체학 접근방식을 통한 생태계교란 생물인 담수 외래종의 대중인식 평가)

  • Public awareness of alien species can vary by generation, period, or specific events associated with these species. An understanding of public awareness is important for the management of alien species because differences in public awareness can affect the establishment and implementation of management plans. We analyzed digital texts on social media platforms, news articles, and internet search volumes used in conservation culturomics to understand public interest and sentiment regarding alien freshwater species. The number of tweets, number of news articles, and relative search volume to 11 freshwater alien species were extracted to determine public interest. Additionally, the trend over time, seasonal variability, and repetition period of these data were confirmed. We also calculated the sentiment score and analyzed public sentiment in the collected data using sentiment analysis based on text mining techniques. The American bullfrog, nutria, bluegill, and largemouth bass drew relatively more public interest than other species. Some species showed repeated patterns in the number of Twitter posts, media coverage, and internet searches found according to the specified periods. The text mining analysis results showed negative sentiments from most people regarding alien freshwater species. Particularly, negative sentiments increased over the years after alien species were designated as ecologically disturbing species.

Drought Index Development for Agricultural Drought Monitoring in a Catchment (집수역 내 농업가뭄 감시를 위한 가뭄지수 개발)

  • Drought index can be used to implement an early warning system for drought and to operate a drought monitoring service. In this study, an approach was examined to determine agricultural drought index (ADI) at high spatial resolution, e.g., 270 m. The value of ADI was calculated based on soil water balance between supply and demand of water. Water supply is calculated by the cumulative effective precipitation with the application of the weight to the precipitation from two months ago. Water demand is derived from the actual evapotranspiration, which was calculated applying a crop coefficient to the reference evapotranspiration. The amount of surface runoff on a given soil type was also used to calculate soil residual moisture. Presence of drought was determined based on the probability distribution in the given area. In order to assess the reliability of this index, the amount of residual moisture, which represents severity of drought, was compared with measurements of soil moisture at three experimental between July 2012 and December 2013. As a result, the ADI had greater correlation with measured soil moisture compared with the standardized precipitation index, which suggested that the ADI would be useful for drought warning services.

An Agroclimatic Data Retrieval and Analysis System for Microcomputer Users(CLIDAS) (퍼스컴을 이용한 농업기후자료 검색 및 분석시스템)

  • Climatological informations have not been fully utilized by agricultural research and extension workers in Korea due mainly to inaccessbilty to the archived climate data. This study was initiated to improve access to historical climate data gathered from 72 weather stations of Korea Meteorological Administration for agricultural applications by using a microcomputer-based methodology. The climatological elements include daily values of average, maximum and minimum temperature, relative humidity, average and maximum wind speed, wind direction, evaporation, precipitation, sunshine duration and cloud amount. The menu-driven, user-friendly data retrieval system(CLIDAS) provides quick summaries of the data values on a daily, weekly and monthly basis and selective retrieval of weather records meeting certain user specified critical conditions. Growing degree days and potential evapotranspiration data are derived from the daily climatic data, too. Data reports can be output to the computer screen, a printer or ASCII data files. CLIDAS can be run on any IBM compatible machines with Video Graphics Array card. To run the system with the whole database, more than 50 Mb hard disk space should be available. The system can be easily upgraded for further expansion of functions due to the module-structured design.

A Comparative Study on the Discharge Measurement Methods at a Experimental Stream Downstream of Dam (댐 하류 시험하천에서의 유량 측정 방법간 비교)

  • 수자원의 계획과 관리를 위해 정확한 유량 측정은 무엇보다 중요하다. 이를 위해 다양한 유량 측정방법이 개발, 적용되고 있다. 본 연구는 국내 하천에 적용 가능한 다양한 유량 측정방법을 시험하천에 동시에 적용하여 유량 측정 방법간 비교를 목적으로 수행되었다. 비교를 위해 적용된 방법은 유속면적법, 부자법, ADCP법 등의 비연속적 방법과 기존 보를 이용한 방법, 초음파 유량계를 이용한 방법, 유속지수법, 실시간 경사면적법 등의 연속적 방법이다. 평저수기에 주로 적용될 수 있는 비연속적 방법인 유속면적법과 ADCP법의 비교에서는 유속면적법이 방류량 대비 평균 ${\pm}4.7%$의 오차를 가지며, ADCP법의 경우 ${\pm}4.6%$의 오차를 갖는 것으로 나타났다. 비연속적 방법과 연속적 방법을 동시에 비교하기 위해 평저수 5회, 홍수 2회를 포함하는 총 7회의 동시 유량측정이 수행되었다. 유속면적법과 ADCP법은 부적절하게 적용된 경우를 제외하면 오차는 대체로 10% 이내로 나타났다. 부자법의 경우 홍수시에만 적용되었으나 오차가 방류량 대비 20% 이상으로 다소 크게 나타났다. 연속적 방법은 기존 보의 경우 개발된 수 위-유량 관계의 이하의 저유량에 적용할 경우 오차가 다소 크게 산정되었으나 그 이외에는 대체로 10% 이내의 오차를 나타내었으며, 일부 저수위의 유속지수법을 제외하면 연속적 방법은 모두 오차가 10% 이내로 조사되었다. 향후 보다 장기간에 걸쳐 다양한 유량 범위에서의 검증이 필요하지만, 시험하천에서의 유량 측정 방법간 비교는 국내 하천에 적용할 수 있는 다양한 방법의 적용성을 평가하는데 기여할 수 있을 것으로 생각된다.향 범위는 최대 $0.07km^2$ 면적에 그 효과를 기대할 수 있을 것으로 판단되어, 남조 수화현상이 심화될 경우 인공순환에 의한 저감효과가 크지는 않을 것으로 예측된다. 조사 기간중 H호의 현존 식물플랑크톤량의 $60%{\sim}87%$가 수심 10m 이내에 분포하였고, 녹조강과 남조강이 우점하는 하절기에는 5m 이내에 주로 분포하였다. 취수탑 지점의 수심이 연중 $25{\sim}35m$를 유지하는 H호의 경우 간헐식 폭기장치를 가동하는 기간은 물론 그 외 기간에도 취수구의 심도를 표층 10m 이하로 유지 할 경우 전체 조류 유입량을 60% 이상 저감할 수 있을 것으로 조사되었다.심볼 및 색채 디자인 등의 작업이 수반되어야 하며, 이들을 고려한 인터넷용 GIS기본도를 신규 제작한다. 상습침수지구와 관련된 각종 GIS데이타와 각 기관이 보유하고 있는 공공정보 가운데 공간정보와 연계되어야 하는 자료를 인터넷 GIS를 이용하여 효율적으로 관리하기 위해서는 단계별 구축전략이 필요하다. 따라서 본 논문에서는 인터넷 GIS를 이용하여 상습침수구역관련 정보를 검색, 처리 및 분석할 수 있는 상습침수 구역 종합정보화 시스템을 구축토록 하였다.N, 항목에서 보 상류가 높게 나타났으나, 철거되지 않은 검전보나 안양대교보에 비해 그 차이가 크지 않은 것으로 나타났다.의 기상변화가 자발성 기흉 발생에 영향을 미친다고 추론할 수 있었다. 향후 본 연구에서 추론된 기상변화와 기흉 발생과의 인과관계를 확인하고 좀 더 구체화하기 위한 연구가 필요할 것이다.게 이루어질 수 있을 것으로 기대된다.는 초과수익률이 상승하지만, 이후로는 감소하므로, 반전거래전략

The Effects of Health Promotion Programs for the Healthy Lifestyle in the Community Elderly: A Systematic Review (지역사회 노인의 건강한 라이프스타일을 위한 건강증진프로그램 중재효과에 대한 체계적 고찰)

  • This study is a systematic review study to confirm the effectiveness of the health promotion program for the elderly in the community. The research method was to search for published papers using the domestic databases RISS, KISS, DBpia, and KoreaMed, analyze a total of 10 studies, and code them for 2 researchers. As a result, the characteristics of intervention in the health promotion program were often applied to the frequency of intervention more than twice a week, and the intervention time of more than 12 weeks, approximately 60 minutes once. In the composition of intervention, the study that applied exercise and education together and the study that mixed the types of exercise were mainly. The outcome measurement variables were muscle strength, body mass index, depression, self-efficacy, health promotion lifestyle, and quality of life. Through this study, it is necessary to develop a sustainable health promotion program and verify effectiveness in the lives of the elderly in the community.
