A Study for Derivation of Participant's Information Flow At Framework Construction based on BIM (BIM 기반의 골조공사에서 참여자별 정보의 흐름 도출에 관한 연구)

  • As construction project has been becoming larger, specialized and complicated, it is important to utilize a lot of information that is made by diverse participants. Especially this information is mainly produced in construction site that plays a leading role in construction project. The problem of information exchange between participants of construction site causes decline of construction productivity. So as to resolve this problem, there is a many interest in BIM(Building Information Modeling) that makes and manages a necessary data during building life cycle. But in Korea construction industry, applying BIM in construction phase is less active than in design phase. Through studying previous research, this study classify the main cause of failure related to information exchange in framework construction. And by interviewing expert, it draw a work that is possible to apply BIM. Next through analyzing framework construction site that is applied with BIM, this study proposes specific information flow model for supporting work by BIM.

  • The initial step in the construction process, estimating appropriate construction time and expense is the most important factor that would influence the result of the construction. In order to enhance productivity and efficiency, there is a need to analyze and manage rationally. The purpose of this project is to make a simulation model for all subway tunnel construction based on the NATM method, also give an support equipment that would make available to plan and analyze the construction. The development of simulation model is based on a real case construction analysis process and also on the reference data. It reflects restrictive elements, make it possible to modify the conditions, and not only adapt to our project's construction but other projects as well. The model developed by this project will be able to reasonably predict the construction completion time and support the process of decision making during the planning. Therefore we can expect the productivity and efficiency of the whole construction projects.

  • 기업의 ESG 활동의 일환으로 탄소중립과 순환경제의 개념을 활용한 기업의 성과를 고객에게 알리기 위하여 고품질의 전과정평가 결과에 대한 요구가 커지고 있다. 이를 위해서 LCI 데이터베이스에 대한 글로벌 요건에 맞는 고품질의 LCI 데이터베이스를 구축하고 관리하는 것이 국가적으로 중요하게 인식되고 있다. 이를 위해 UNEP는 GLAD 플랫폼을 만들었고, EU는 LCDN 플랫폼을 만들어 국제통용성을 고려한 고품질의 LCI 데이터베이스를 관리하려는 노력을 하고 있다. 국내 LCI 데이터베이스는 정부주도로 1999년부터 지속적으로 개발되어 활용되고 있지만, 국제통용성의 측면에서 볼 때, 기업의 생산현황을 반영한 최신의 일차데이터가 부족하고, LCI 데이터베이스에 포함된 목록항목들이 모든 환경영향을 충분히 평가할 수도 없으며, 데이터 정보제공의 형식인 LCI 데이터베이스 포맷이 글로벌 동향을 충분히 반영하지 못하고 있다. 이에 국제통용성을 고려한 국내 LCI 데이터베이스의 개발을 위해 산업을 대표하는 협회 또는 단체를 통해 매년 최신의 일차데이터를 확보하고, 이를 토대로 모든 환경영향을 평가할 수 있는 수준의 목록항목을 포함한 국내 LCI 데이터베이스를 개발하고, 이를 Eco-SPOLD_02 또는 ILCD 등의 최신 LCI 데이터베이스 포맷으로 관리하여야 한다.

  • Change is inevitable and is a reality of construction projects. Change adjustment includes the cost associated with materials, labor, etc. However, the actions of a contractor can cause a loss of productivity and furthermore can result in disruption of the whole project because of a cumulative or ripple effect. Because of its complicated nature, it becomes a complex issue to determine the cumulative impact (ripple effect) caused by single or multiple change orders. Furthermore, owners and contractors do not always agree on the adjusted contract price for the cumulative impact of the changes. What is needed is a reliable method to identify and quantify the loss of productivity caused by cumulative impact of change orders. This study survey the change orders data in domestic area for public construction and analyze to quantify change order impact. This study developed concepts of "%CO", "%Delta", "%T" to capture change order effect on project and search the relationships between them. Finally, this study find strong relationship between change order and loss.

  • As information technology of constructional area develops recently, web-based on-line system is rapidly increasing to provide information on diverse constructional materials so as to enhance productivity of constructional business and to reduce cost. Since the constructional materials information provided by these systems, i.e., quality, specification, etc are not standardized, however, the staffs on the constructional site suffer considerable difficulties in using materials information when acquiring information on specific materials, e.g., using diverse information systems or repeating similar jobs. Thus, this research typified information items of constructional materials on the basis of GDAS and designed multi system model to control integrated information on constructional materials. This system can efficiently control and utilize materials information by supporting automatic classification of constructional materials to which OmniClass Part-22 and UNSPSC are applied, conditional complex retrieval of materials information, real-time automatic embodiment of electronic catalog and retrieving/controlling RFID.

Cost-Benefit Analysis of Coal-to-Liquids Plant Construction in Mongolia (몽골에서의 석탄액화플랜트 건설에 대한 경제성평가)

  • 몽골은 석탄 매장량이 매우 풍부하고 석유연료를 전적으로 수입에 의존하기 때문에, 석탄액화플랜트 건설에 필요한 충분한 여건을 갖추고 있다. 본 연구에서는 몽골에 하루 10,000배럴의 석유연료를 생산할 수 있는 석탄액화플랜트를 건설할 경우에 대한 경제성분석을 수행한다. 먼저 기존에 있는 산업계의 석탄액화플랜트 프로젝트 데이터와 학계의 연구결과를 토대로 몽골 석탄액화플랜트 건설에 필요한 비용과 기대수명, 그리고 예상 수명기간 동안 운영했을 때 발생하는 운영비용과 소득을 추정한다. 추정된 비용과 소득을 이용하여 네 가지 시나리오(기본, 악화 1, 악화 2, 매우 악화) 하에서의 경제성 분석을 실시한다. 분석결과 투자수익률이 기본 시나리오에서는 45%에 가까우며, 가장 나쁜 시나리오에서도 5%보다 컸다. 이는 몽골 석탄액화플랜트 건설이 경제적으로 충분히 타당성이 있음을 나타낸다.

  • Additive manufacturing (AM, also known as 3D printing) technology gets attention for various effects in the construction industry. It reveals abilities of process automation, high traceability of resource management, construction period precision improvement, and worker safety. However, unlike the existing construction technology, the development of AM construction process causes trial errors and unpredictable accidents. In the present study, the construction AM process is designed for on-site construction, and it performs with empirical tests. Also, we analyzed the causes of qualitative experimental results.

  • Recently a method of constructing architectural products using additive manufacturing technology has been proposed. The additive manufacturing technology automates the construction process and it can secure the safety of workers. In addition, due to the high implementation efficiency of atypical shapes, the applicability to the manufacturing process of buildings and infrastructure is drawing attention. Additive manufacturing technology has the ability of satisfying computer-based construction automation, resource management and construction period prediction which is required in the modern construction industry. However, the industrial application is still limited by insufficient data, standards, regulations, and operating methods. In this study, in order to analyze the applicability of architectural additive manufacturing technology, we manufacture each architectural product with two additive manufacturing systems. In addition, we apply an application of each building product into an appropriate manufacturing system through the AM production decision model. And identify problems in the manufacturing process through empirical experiments. As a result, we propose an extended additive production decision model to improve the quality of building products.

  • In the era of the fourth industrial revolution, data plays a vital role in enhancing the productivity of industries. To advance digitalization in the construction industry, which suffers from a lack of available data, this study proposes a model that classifies construction site photos by work types. Unlike traditional image classification models that solely rely on visual data, the model in this study includes semantic analysis of construction work types. This is achieved by extracting the significance of relationships between objects and work types from the standard construction specification. These relationships are then used to enhance the classification process by correlating them with objects detected in photos. This model improves the interpretability and reliability of classification results, offering convenience to field operators in photo categorization tasks. Additionally, the model's practical utility has been validated through integration into a classification program. As a result, this study is expected to contribute to the digitalization of the construction industry.

  • Recently, construction projects have become bigger and complicated and the construction business scale has enlarged. Therefore a project cost size is increasing. The historical data can be easily saved by advanced technologies of IT industries. Utilizing those make us to be able to manage construction project more effectively. These days, PMIS (Project Management Information System) has supplied widely at construction companies for integrating cooperation system of Web environment. and it is being used. However the most PMIS is limited at construction phase. Actually it isn't applied to a construction project Life-Cycle(planning, design, construction and maintenance). To control manage a construction project Life-Cycle effectively, BPMS (BIM-based PMIS Modeling) should be considered. This paper suggests the ways for applying BPMS.
