OTP-Based Transaction Verification Protocol Using PUFs (PUF를 이용한 OTP 기반 거래 검증 프로토콜)

  • The One-Time Password(OTP) Generator is used as a multi-factor authentication method to ensure secure transaction during e-Financial transaction in the bank and securities company. The OTP based e-Financial Transaction Verification Protocol ensures secure e-financial transaction through confirming the user's identity using OTP authentication information and counters not only Man-in-the-Browser(MITB) attacks but also memory hacking attacks. However, it is possible to generate correct OTPs due to potential of stealing sensitive information of the OTP generator through intelligent phishing, pharming, social engineering attacks. Therefore, it needs another scheme to prevent from above threats, and this paper proposes advanced scheme using Physical Unclonable Functions(PUFs) to solve these problems. First, it is impossible to generate the same OTP values because of the hysically unclonable features of PUFs. In addition, it is impossible to clone OTP generator with hardware techniques. Consequently, the proposed protocol provides stronger and more robust authentication protocol than existing one by adding PUFs in the OTP generator.

  • Off-line ship chartering is done nearly through(by) the brokers. Because of the international scale of chartering marker, brokers spend too much times and costs on searching the most appropriate product which the consumers want. In this research, we propose the on-line Charter Product Categorization Model to search the products efficiently in the Cyber Chartering System. This Model will make concerned parties of the ship chartering to get efficient and unific product information. and to select the most appropriate product. In this research, we classified the ship chartering products into categories of cargo, ship type, and sea routes, and formed the definition of mutual relation of each products. Moreover we verified that this classification is necessary to search the products by the product searching experiment.

An Empirical Study on Investment Performance using Properties of Realized Range-Based Volatility and Firm-Specific Volatility (실현범위변동성(RRV) 및 기업고유변동성의 속성과 투자성과 측정)

  • This paper explores the relationship between firm-specific volatility and some firm characteristics such as size, the market-to-book ratio of equity, PER, PBR, PCR, PSR and turnover in KOSDAQ market. In addition, I investigate whether portfolios with difference to realized range-based volatility and firm-specific volatility have different investment performance using CAPM and FF-3 factor model. The main findings of this study can be summarized as follows. First, firm-specific volatility have mostly positive relationship between firm-specific volatility and some firm characteristics. Second, this study found that realized range-based volatility and firm-specific volatility are positively related to expected return. It means that portfolios with high idiosyncratic volatility have significantly higher expected return than portfolios with low firm-specific volatility.

  • The objectives of this study identify the factors that affect the quality of MTS services, to determine the effects of these service quality factors on customer's satisfaction and customer's loyalty. The results are as follows: First, The Four factors, i.e., tangibles, reliability, responsiveness, and assurance, represent statistically marginal significance in explaining the relationship between MTS service quality factors and customer's satisfaction. Second, The Five factors, i.e., rapidness, tangibles, responsiveness, empathy, and assurance represent statistically marginal significance in explaining the relationship between MTS service quality factors and customer's loyalty. Third, There are some differences in assurance/period of utilization, empathy/period of utilization in using MTS services according to social statistics. This article provides the paradigm of new convergence on IT and finance.

  • NFT is literally a 'non-fungible token', a digital file that records specific virtual assets on a blockchain. Events such as ownership of the asset and transaction history are recorded on the blockchain through the token transaction, so counterfeiting and falsification are impossible. Therefore, NFT is used as a tool that can uniquely represent a specific virtual asset. The main purpose of this paper is to examine the characteristics of NFT from a records management point of view and to find ways to use them, and focuses on digital records that have the characteristics of assets as digital works. For this purpose, we first examine the basic concept of NFT and the principle of ownership and proof of value as an asset for digital works. In addition, it was confirmed how the advantages of NFT were applied through NFT use cases in various fields, and in particular, areas related to audio-visual records such as art, music, sports, and fashion were focused on. Furthermore, by comparing the characteristics of digital records with those of NFT, factors applicable to electronic records were identified. Finally, the types of digital records that are expected to be effective in the application of NFT were identified, and the possibility of their use and discussion points for introduction in records management are presented.

  • This study empirically analyzed the determinants of the assessment ratio (hereinafter 'AR') based on a total of 2,129 sales cases of forests in Gwangju, Gyeonggi-do. The main findings of this study through multiple regression analysis are summarized as follows. First, this study shows that regional characteristics have significantly different effects on the AR of forest land prices. Specifically, there was a significant difference in the AR depending on the location of the parcel by sub-region and the ratio of residential area, and the higher the number of development plans in progress, the more likely the officially assessed land price will be formed close to the sale price. Second, this study analyzed that location characteristics such as the proximity of the inner and outer center of the jurisdiction and traffic accessibility had a significant influence on the determination of the AR. Third, this study identified significant differences in AR depending on detailed factors such as planning management areas, production management areas, conservation areas for mountain, conservation areas for nature, and restricted development areas as land use and regulatory characteristics of forest lands. Fourth, this study found that land characteristics are a significant factor influencing the AR as an individual factor in forest land.

  • Considering the widespread use of social networking sites (SNSs) and the sudden shift of Filipino SNS usage from Friendster to Facebook, this paper examines five factors that affect user intentions to switch SNSs. By surveying switchers from Friendster to Facebook in the Philippines, satisfaction, alternative attractiveness, and social influence were significant factors affecting switching intent.

  • The recent development of IT, consolidation of communications and multimedia technology have brought enormous changes in many organizations. These changes are enabling the new educational environments such as distance learning and virtual education. Particularly e-Learning has grown rapidly in business training fields. In this regard, the primary purpose of this study is to investigate which factors of e-Learning influence education and training in business organizations through an empirical survey. The results show that most of hypotheses get significant support. Implications of these findings are discussed for researchers and practitioners.

Trust Building of Buyers who perceive Quality Risk High in Online Used Car Transactions: A Dyadic Trust Relationship (온라인 중고차 거래에서 품질위험을 높게 지각한 구매자의 신뢰형성: 구매자와 대리인 양자간 신뢰)

  • With the proliferation of electronic commerce, online transactions have become a norm. Its enormous potential, however, can be truly realized if consumers feel comfortable facing invisible sellers over the Internet, a virtual business channel. Trust has been identified as a key component in many e-Commerce studies. The purpose of this study is to find out which factors play a major role in building buyer trust and how the build-up trust affects buyer's purchase intention in online used car transactions. Based on the information asymmetry, TAM (Technology Acceptance Model), and the trust theory, our research model includes factors such as a buyer's propensity-to-trust, institutional characteristics (inspection and warranty policy), word-of-mouth referral, perceived size, and perceived benefits as independent variables. The model also includes trust as a mediate variable, purchase intention as a dependent variable, and perceived quality risk as a moderate variable. The research model is tested by analyzing 448 sample data gathered from used car websites. The result shows that the trust has significant effects on the online purchase intention, and institutional characteristics have been identified as one of the most significant factors for trust building in used car websites. For those who perceive quality risk high, actual purchasing behavior occurs only when they have trust on the used car websites, indicating that trust plays a vital role as a mediate variable. This study suggests that buyer trust on the used car websites is important to increase buyer's online purchase behavior.

Moderating Effects of Subordinates' Active Engagement between Commanders' Transformational·Transactional Leadership and Job Satisfaction (부하들의 능동적 참여가 지휘관의 변혁적·거래적 리더십과 직무만족 간에 미치는 조절효과)

  • This study is aimed for emprical analyzing (1) the effects of leadership of army commanders on subordinates' job satisfaction and (2) the moderating effects of subordinates' active engagement within the relationship between commanders' transformational transactional leadership and job satisfaction of soldiers, while over 500 combat soldiers throughout the nation are questioned for this analysis. The followings are the summary of findings of this study. The first finding shows that both transformational and transactional leadership have positive impacts on the job satisfaction of the soldiers. In this context, it is recommended that army commanders should apply effectively these behaviors of leadership in order to achieve their goals in military organizations. The second sector of the analysis includes the moderating effect of subordinates' active engagement within the relationship between the commanders' leadership and job satisfaction of the soldiers. The finding of the second analysis shows that subordinates' active engagement has positive moderating effect on the relationship between transformational leadership and job satisfaction. However, it has no moderating effect on the relationship between transactional leadership and job satisfaction. This implies that army commanders should apply the behavioral factors of both leadership styles and encourage active engagement of soldiers in order to enhance the satisfaction of soldiers, focusing more on applying the behavioral factors of transformational leadership.
