  • Recently, the internet has seen tremendous growth with plenty of enriched information due to an increasing number of specialized personal interests and popularizations of private cyber space called, blog. Many of today's blog provide internet users, RSS, which is also hewn as the syndication technology. It enables blog users to receive update automatically by registering their RSS channel address with RSS aggregator. In other words, it keeps internet users wasting their time checking back the web site for update. This paper propose the ways to manage RSS Channel Searching Crawler and collected RSS Channels for internet users to search for a specific RSS channel of their want without any obstacles. At the same time. This paper proposes RSS channel ranking based on user popularity. So, we focus on an idea of adding index to information and web update for users to receive appropriate information according to user property.

  • Nowadays, digital maps of 1:5,000 scale are used to plan and review far road alignment design. However, the updating and modifying period of digital maps is not so harmonious as topographical changes caused by rapid developments can be reflected in digital maps, the different areas between real surface and digital map can be found easily. This research is aimed to suggest that the use of high resolution satellite image is effective way to get latest topographical information for road alignment design about wide region. IKONOS satellite images were geometrically corrected, and the road alignment data previously designed by traditional procedure were overlapped on the satellite images. As a result, the satellite image maps clearly described wrong road alignment, and modification of road alignment could be accomplished adequately By these procedures, road alignment design was Improved in quality, and could be reasonable and economic design to prevent modification that would be happened in the next step of practical plan. For the geometric correction method of IKONOS images, Thin Plate Spline(TPS) transformation with large number of ground control points, as well as ortho rectification, was effective.

  • Connecting with cost, schedule, and quality in a construction project, resource management is one of the essential management elements. However, the material requirement planning is built at the beginning stage of construction and needs various concerned factors, it is limited to build the resource management planning on enterprise level. The disconnected communication among managements makes impossible to control historical data. In the construction project control system, the core of management elements is to manage cost and schedule information, therefore material requirement planning should be established based on historical data about EVM which is intergating schedule and cost. In this study, a resource management system concerning material requirement planning and attribute of procurement is suggested by connecting the historical data of EVM and the material requirement planning.

  • Sensor networks are composed of a great number of sensor nodes. Since all sensor nodes are energy-restricted and hard to recharge, it is very important. However, the energy consumption may significantly increase if mobile sources or sinks exist in sensor networks. The reason is that the routing information for mobile sources and sinks needs to be update frequently for efficientdata delivery. The routing algorithm supporting mobile sinks should consider not only continuous data delivery but also the energy consumption of sensor nodes. However, most of the existing research focuses on even energy consumption while the mobility of sinks and sources is rarely consider. In this paper, we propose an efficient routing protocol with multiple virtual grids to reduce energy consumption and improve packets delivery efficiency. Then this paper considers the mobility. Simulation results show that our algorithm can guarantee high data delivery ratio and lower average delivery delay, while consuming lower energy than existing routing protocols in sensor networks.

  • This study aimed to design a semi-automatic web-based pilot system 1) to build a Korean novel geo-name, 2) to update the database using automatic geo-name extraction for a scalable database, and 3) to retrieve/visualize the usage of an old geo-name on the map. In particular, the problem of extracting novel geo-names, which are currently obsolete, is difficult to solve because obtaining a corpus used for training dataset is burden. To build a corpus for training data, an admin tool, HTML crawler and parser in Python, crawled geo-names and usages from a vocabulary dictionary for Korean New Novel enough to train a named entity tagger for extracting even novel geo-names not shown up in a training corpus. By means of a training corpus and an automatic extraction tool, the geo-name database was made scalable. In addition, the system can visualize the geo-name on the map. The work of study also designed, implemented the prototype and empirically verified the validity of the pilot system. Lastly, items to be improved have also been addressed.

  • The Internal dose by food consumption mostly account for radiological dose of public around nuclear poller plants(NPP). But, food consumption rate applied to off-site dose calculation in Korea which is the result of field investigation around Kori NPP by the KAERI in 1988, is not reflected of the latest dietary characteristics. The Ministry of Health and Welfare Affairs has investigated the food and nutrition of nations every 3 years based on the Law of National Health Improvement. To update the food consumption rates of the maximum individual the analysis of the national food investigation results and field surveys around nuclear power plant sites have been carried out.

  • The study designs and implements a KORMARC/EAD integrated system for the Myongji Digital Library Collections. The purpose of this paper is to design the metadata to Myongji Korean History Collections to provide digital information of high quality to clients, and to develop and implement a model for managing digital library collections. In order to test the model and the quality of the derived metadata, we built a metadata management system, which is connected to the existing KORMARC system. The system consists of two modules- a retrieval and an input module. While in the retrieve mode, one can retrieve KORMARC records of books and archival items, with links to modified EAD files for archival items or to image files for books, in the input mode, one can type two types of data such as a catalog data and an inventory data. Finally, we evaluated the proposed system via mail questionnaires, and propose three suggestions to make this system a much more comprehensive and effective system.

  • In order to prevent occupational injury in forestry operations, several laws and regulations related to forestry have been enacted. Forestry education and training is overseen by the Forest Training Institute under the Korea Forest Service and three training centers under the National Forestry Cooperative Federation. The latter are managing both common and specialized courses, with safety education and training as an important focus. Improvements to reduce the accident rate are as follows: (1) strengthening of qualifications (via aptitude test) and selection standards of forestry workers (such as age limits); (2) raise of the number of training days and the rate of certified essential forces that compose Units of Forest Craft Workers; (3) revision of regulations to select forestry management engineers (second grade certified engineer); (4) introduction of a qualification renewal system; (5) improvement of working conditions at forestry scenes and systemization of safety education; (6) revision of regulations of individual protection equipment; (7) enforcement of wearing individual protection equipment; (8) supplementation of disaster response for increasing safety perception.

The improvement of 3D geospatial database quality control through establishing an integrated quality control makes data suppliers update data efficiently and users get high quality data. The purpose of this study was to derive the improvement plan of 3D geospatial database quality control through the analyses of the existing 3D geospatial database quality control and case studies. The results of this study are as follows. Firstly, we defined the concept of 3D geospatial database quality control. Secondly, we set the boundary, factors and process of 3D geospatial database quality control through classifying it in detail. Lastly, we drew improvement contents such as the quality control checklist by implementation process according to the improvement plan of 3D geospatial database implementation.

  • GIS have become easier to use and very popular. In recent year digital photogrammetric systems ire becoming cost-effective tools to build and update GIS databases. In close-range photogrammetry for the acquisition of geospatial data, the bundle adjustment needs both initial approximate values and control points to solve the exterior orientation parameters. This paper gives a review of applied and potential algorithms for estimating Initial approximate values before the bundle adjustment, develope new algorithms for determine the exterior orientation parameters, and gives a cost-effective methods for close-range digital photogrammetric system Modifications of existing DLT algorithm were made in this study for providing an efficient, economic, and more accurate photogrammetric data reduction technique. These modifications include robust approaches for automatic detection and elimination of all lands of gross errors in the measurement data, and incorporation of GPS to reduce the number of control points necessary for a DLT solution. Also, this paper derives a new method for space resection from a monocular image. A major advantage of proposed method is that the solution can be uniquely and analytically determined without initial approximate values of exterior orientation parameters and without iterative computation.
