  • Gait recognition is the method to identify the person who walks in front of camera using characteristics of individuals by a sequence of images of walking people. The accuracy of biometric such as fingerprint or iris is very high; however, to provide information needs downsides which allow users to direct contact or close-up, etc. There have been many studies in gait recognition because it could capture images and analysis characteristics far from a person. In order to recognize the gait of person needs a continuous sequence of walking which can be distinguished from the individuals should be extracted features rather than an single image. Therefore, this paper proposes a method of gait recognition that the motion of objects in sequence is described the characteristics of a shape sequence descriptor, and through a variety of experiments can show possibility as a recognition technique.

The Effects of Perceived Agile Culture of Chinese Enterprises on Job Performance: Focused on Moderating Effect of Individual Capability (중국기업의 애자일 문화인식이 직무성과에 미치는 영향: 개인역량 조절효과를 중심으로)

  • The purpose of this study is to verify the effect of perceived agile culture(empowerment, continuous learning, personal communication Intensification) on job performance(task, contextual, adaptive) and to explore the moderating effect of individual capability(knowledge, skill). For the empirical analysis, data were collected from convenient sample of 219 employees working at enterprise in China. The analysis of validity and reliability of variables and regression analysis were performed using SPSS 21. The results of this research as followed: firstly, the positive perceived agile culture and job performance were statistically supported. Secondly, the individual capability played as a partial moderator on the relationship between the perceived agile culture and the job performance. The factors that constitute the perceived agile culture can present the research directions for the transformation into the agile organization.

A Method of Optimal Sensor Decision for Odor Recognition (냄새 인식을 위한 최적의 센서 결정 방법)

  • In this paper, we propose method of correlation coefficients between sensors by statistical analysis that selects optimal sensors in odor recognition system of selective multi-sensors. The proposed sensor decision method obtains odor data from Metal Oxide Semiconductor(MOS) sensor array and then, we decide optimal sensors based on correlation of obtained odors. First of all, we select total number of 16 sensors eliminated sensor of low response and low reaction rate response among similar sensors. We make up DB using 16 sensors from input odor and we select sensor of low correlation after calculated correlation coefficient of each sensor. Selected sensors eliminate similar sensors' response therefore proposed method are able to decide optimal sensors. We applied to floral scent recognition for performance evaluation of proposed sensors decision method. As a result, application of proposed method with floral scent recognition using correlation coefficient obtained recognition rate of 95.67% case of using 16 sensors while applied floral scent recognition system of proposed sensor decision method confirmed recognition rate of 94.67% using six sensors and 96% using only 8 sensors.

  • In this paper, we describe CAMAR Companoin, a context-aware mobile AR system that provides a user-adaptive assistance with an augmented picture according to the user's context in smart space. It recognizes physical objects and tracks the movement of those objects with a camera embodied to a mobile device. CAMAR Companion observes a mobile user's context, which is sensed by various kinds of sensors in environments, and infers user preference for the content in the situation. It recommends multimedia content relevant to the user's context. It overlays selected content over associated physical objects and enables the user to experience the content in a user-centric manner. Furthermore, we have developed the prototype to illustrate how our system could be used for a mobile user's well-being care applications in smart home environments. In this application, we found that our system could perceive a user preference even though a user's context is changed dynamically, and then adapt the multimedia content with respect to the user's context effectively. As such, the proposed user-adaptive system has the potential to play an important role in developing customized user interfaces in mobile devices.

  • Changeable biometrics has been developed as a solution to problem of enhancing security and privacy. The idea is to transform a biometric signal or feature into a new one for the purposes of enrollment and matching. In this paper, we propose a changeable biometric system that can be applied to appearance based face recognition system. In the first step when using feature extraction, ICA(Independent Component Analysis) coefficient vectors extracted from an input face image are replaced randomly using their mean and variation. The transformed vectors by replacement are scrambled randomly and a new transformed face coefficient vector (transformed template) is generated by combination of the two transformed vectors. When this transformed template is compromised, it is replaced with new random numbers and a new scrambling rule. Because e transformed template is generated by e addition of two vectors, e original ICA coefficients could not be easily recovered from the transformed coefficients.

  • 본 논문에서는 중규모급 단어인식기의 실시간 구현을 위한 무감독 단어집단화 알고리듬을 제안한다. 무감독 단어집단화는 인식대상 어휘 수가 많은 대용량 음성인식 시스템에서 대상 어휘 수를 줄여주는 역할을 하는 전처리기의 성격을 갖는다. 무감독 집단화를 위해 각 단어의 유$\cdot$무성음 고유의 특성을 잘 반영할 수 있는 특징 파라미터 5개를 사용하여 패턴 인식과 회귀분석에서 널리 사용되고 있는 분류$\cdot$회귀트리(Classification And Regression Tree)에 적용시키는 방법으로 접근하였고, 각 단어의 frame 수를 일정하게 n개로 분할(segment)하여 1개의 tree를 생성시키는 방법과 각 segment에 해당하는 tree를 생성시켜 segment들 사이의 교집합 성분으로 단어들을 집단화 하였다 실험결과 탐색 대상단어 22개에서 평균2.21개로 줄어 전체 대상 단어의 $10\%$만을 탐색하여 인식할 수 있는 방법을 제시할 수 있었다.

Face Recognition System for Unattended reception interface (무인 접수 인터페이스를 위한 얼굴인식 시스템)

  • As personal information is utilized as an important user authentication means, a trustable certification means is being required. Recently, a research on the biometrics system using a part of the human body like a password is being attempted a lot. The face recognition technology using characteristics of the personal face among several biometrics technologies is easy in extracting features. In this paper, we implement a face recognition system for unattended reception interface. Our method is performed by two steps. Firstly the face is extracted using Haar-like feature method. Secondly the method combining PCA and LDA for face recognition was used. To assess the effectiveness of the proposed system, it was tested and experimental results show that the proposed method is applicable for unattended reception interface.

  • The need to be able to identify other individual human beings is fundamental to the security and has been true since the beginning of human history. Physical or behavioral characteristics (finger-scan, face-scan, voice, palm, iris, retina, signature, human DNA, keystroke, vain, gait etc.) of a person are used to authenticate the person. The biometric technologies allow for a greater reliability of authentication as compared with password systems for physical access, network security, e-commerce, and so on. In this paper, we describe various technologies, market analysis, multi-modal system, standardization, privacy issue and future prospect of biometrics.

Structural Equation Model for Bus Service Evaluation (버스의 서비스평가 구조모형에 관한 연구)

  • 본 연구에서는 2개의 사례지구에 대한 설문조사를 통해 서비스평가 구조모형을 개발하였다. 모형의 가설로서 요인분석과 신뢰성 분석 등을 통해 구성된 '질적서비스에 대한 인식', '이동성에 대한 인식 '환승에 대한 인식', '경제성에 대한 인식'이란 인지서비스(Perceived service)를 나타내는 4개의 잠재변수는 '개인속성'과 '교통특성'이란 잠재변수의 영향을 받으며, 상호 구조적인 관계를 가지고 전반적인 만족도로 대표되는 '서비스평가'에 영향을 미친다고 가정한다. 모형추정결과, 기초적합지수(GFI)가 상인·월성 0.864, 지산·범물 0.807로 나타났고, 조정 적합지수 (AGFI)는 상인·월성 0.823. 지산·범물 0.759로 나타나 적합성은 대체로 양호하다고 할 수 있다. 또한 두 지역 모두에 있어서 잠재변수 간이나 잠재변수와 관측변수간의 인과계수의 유의성도 2, 3개의 인과계수를 제외하면 모두 5% 유의수준에서 유의한 것으로 나타나 전체적으로 모형이 타당하다고 판단된다. 상인·월성의 경우, 운전기사에 대한 인식치가 '서비스평가'에 미치는 영향력이 가장 크며, 요금수준과 더불어 직접적으로 '서비스평가'에 영향을 미치고 있다 기타 편리성, 쾌적성, 시설 및 운영성이 중요한 원인으로 작용하고 있다는 것을 시사하고 있다. 지산·범물의 경우, 쾌적성, 시설 및 운영성, 편리성이 '서비스평가'에 직접적으로 큰 영향력을 미치고 있다. 특히 이러한 '질적서비스에 대한 인식'은 버스의 현행 요금수준과 대기시간에, 그리고 유의성이 높다고 할 수 없지만 이용자의 연령과 버스이용빈도에 영향을 받고 있는 것으로 나타났다.

A Modified LVQ2 Algorithm for Phonemes Recognition (음소 인식을 위한 수정된 LVQ2 알고리즘의 고찰)

  • 본 논무에서는 한국어 음소를 대상으로 Kohonen 이 제안한 LVQ2 방법의 결저을 보완한 MLVQ2 방법으로 인식실험을 행하고 MLVQ2 알고리즘의 유효성을 검토하고자 한다. 인식실험을 위한 음성자료는 ETRI 611단어로부터 추출한 49음소를 사용하였다. 그리고 인식실험에 있어서는 먼저 파열음을 대상으로 학습회수, 표준패턴의 수, 샘플수에 따른 인식률의 변화를 조사하였으며, 이 결과 표준패턴의 수 15개, 학습회수 10회 이하, 샘플 수 3000 개일 경우가 가장 좋은 인식률을 보였다. 이 결과를 참고로 음소군별 인식실험 결과 모음 69.11%, 파열음 74.69%, 마찰음 및 파찰음 86.31%비음 및 유음 74.51%의 평균 인식률을 얻었다. 또한 , 한국어 49음소 전음소에 대한 인식실험 결과 71.2%의 인식률 얻어 MLVQ2의 유효성을 확인하였다.
