Analysis of Labor Market Activation Policy and Its Employment Outcomes: the Effects of Employment and Tailored Social Service Provision (한국의 노동시장 활성화 정책 특성과 취업 성과: 취업지원서비스와 맞춤형 사회서비스 중심 정책의 비교)

  • This article aims to analyze main features of activation policy and compare major programmes in terms of their impact on employment performances in Korea. Since the introduction of National Basic Living Security Act in 2000, a series of activation policies have been in place for social assistance recipients, low-income employees, and youth unemployed by means of providing tailored employment and social services via in-depth counselling and case management. These activation policies carry both enabling and demanding elements: requiring programme participation in exchange for public assistance benefit receipts on the one hand, and providing various social services to remove barriers to employment through case management on the other hand. Therefore, it merits attention to analyze how various features of activation programmes affect employment outcomes, the effectiveness of delivery system and policy instruments as well. In analyzing employment outcomes of activation policy of which main characteristics lie in provision of employment and social services, this article points out the features and policy instruments of the activation policy that contribute to labor market entry of public assistance recipients and low income employees. In addition, it also delineates the determinants of exit from benefit receipts. Results from statistical analysis show that activation policy with intense employment service helps both benefit recipients and low income employees enter into the labor market at a faster rate. However, tailored social service provision enables social assistance recipients to exit from benefit receipts. These results suggest theoretical and policy relevant implication in regards to redesigning the delivery mechanisms and service instruments of activation policy.

  • This study aims to research on the relationship between job resources, symptoms of burnout, and depersonalization and its impact on the customer orientation. Using data from hotel frontline employees of Seoul in Korea, it seeks to investigate the mediating effects of burnout symptoms and depersonalization to the relationships between job resources and customer orientation. Data was analyzed using Structural Equations Modeling (SEM) by of AMOS program. The research advances understanding of the relationships between job resources, emotional exhaustion, depersonalization as a situational personality trait and the FLE customer orientation in five deluxe star hotel environment. The findings highlight the value of burnout and depersonalization, and suggest a number of practical implications for the identification, recruitment and retention of hotel employees.

A study on the evaluation of the support policy for the export of China software using fuzzy-AHP (퍼지-계층분석을 이용한 중국 소프트웨어 수출지원정책 성과평가 연구)

  • This study is the result of a fuzzy-AHP-based evaluation of the support policy for the export of Chinese software, for which nine Class 1 evaluation indexes were established. Following a survey of 10 Chinese software experts, fuzzy AHP was used to assess and evaluate the absolute and relative importance of each index. The evaluation revealed that the support policy had relatively positive effects. More specifically, the analysis showed that several indices - technology development, HR development, marketing reinforcement, fund support, platform establishment, and product support - carried relatively significant importance. Quality management and tax deductions, on the other hand, showed no importance, while the importance of international certification was relatively small. In light of these discoveries, there is a need to train experts, increase software quality, and reconsider software brands.

Design of Invisible Watermarking for Biometric Image of Electronic ID Card (전자신분증용 바이오 영상을 위한 비인지 워터마킹 설계)

  • Biometric information such as face and fingerprint information is highlighted in many security areas, including authentication, due to its uniqueness and convenience factors. However, if exploited maliciously, it can cause more serious damage than traditional security measures, like passwords. This paper reviews the watermarking method that is able to verify the integrity of this biometric information. The watermark to be inserted is the date of the biometric information acquisition. It is combined with 16-bit Cyclic Redundancy Checks prior to insertion. In particular, face and fingerprint images are saved in a specific compressed format. The proposed watermarking algorithm will be designed in such a way as to remain resilient against compression. The watermark inserted at the acquisition stage will be extracted at each storage and deployment stage, so that the integrity of the biometric information can be verified.

  • The purpose of the study is to identify the flexibility of marketing effects which applies of practical service guarantee strategy over hotel service and methodological effects of practical service guarantee. And the detailed purposes were: first of all, how service guarantee strategy identified by previous theoretical researches influences on a service reliability and service value practically; second, how service reliability and service value influence on customer loyalty; third, how service guarantee influences on customer loyalty directly. According to the results, 5 hypotheses were selected from 5 research hypothesis proposed in this study. The concrete contents were; First, the study inspected how service guarantee strategy influences on service reliability and service value practically. The result was that service guarantee exerted positive influence on service reliability and service value. Second, the study inspected how service reliability and service value influence on customer loyalty. The result service reliability and service value exerted positive influence on customer loyalty. Third, the study inspected how service guarantee strategy influences on customer loyalty. The result service guarantee exerted positive influence on customer loyalty.

  • 국내 게임 산업은 여타 문화 산업과 비교하였을 때 상업화의 시기는 가장 늦었음에도 불구하고 2003 년을 기준으로 4 조를 넘을 정도로 급성장을 하였다. 그러나 게임 제작사의 95% 이상이 적자에 시달리고 있는데 이는 게임 제작과 관련하여 개발 단계에 있어 담당자의 역할 분배 및 각 단계에 대한 적절한 관리를 하지 못해 팀원간 의사소통, 게임제작 공정 생성물 관리, 핵심 기술 및 자원관리 등의 문제가 발생하기 때문이다. 이러한 문제점들은 CASE 툴을 통해서 해결이 가능하다. CASE 툴을 통해 게임제작 공정에 있어 팀원간의 의사 소통과 인력 및 자원 관리, 각 공정간 산출물의 버전 컨트롤 및 이력관리의 정보를 체계적으로 관리할 수 있도록 한다. 이에 본 논문에서는 ISO12207과 RUP 프로세스를 기반으로 게임제작 공정의 생산성과 효율성을 증가시킬 수 있는 게임제작 기획, 자원관리도구를 설계 및 구현하였다.

  • 지속적인 학문의 발전을 위해서는 선행연구에 대한 재현성이 무엇보다도 중요하다고 할 수 있다. 하지만 컴퓨터와 소프트웨어의 급속한 발달로 인한 컴퓨터 환경의 다양화, 분석 소프트웨어의 지속적 최신화로 인해서 최근 구축된 모델도 짧게는 몇 달, 길게는 1~2년후면 다양한 에러로 인하여 재현성이 불가능해지고 있다. 이러한 재현성의 극복을 위해서 온라인을 통한 데이터와 소스코드의 공유의 필요성이 제시되고 있으나, 실제로는 개인마다 컴퓨터 환경, 버전, 소프트웨어 설치에 필요한 라이브러리의 버전 또는 디렉토리 등이 달라 단순히 온라인을 통한 데이터와 소스코드의 공유만으로 재현성을 개선하기는 힘든 것이 현실이다. 따라서 이러한 컴퓨터 모델링 환경의 공유는 과거의 형태와 같이 데이터, 소스코드와 매뉴얼의 공유만으로 불가능하다고 할 수 있다. 따라서 본 연구에서는 수자원 모델링의 재현성 개선을 위해 1) 온라인 저장소, 2) 클라우드기반 JupyterHub 모델링 환경과 3) 모델 APIs 3개의 핵심 구성요소를 제시하고, 최근 미국에서 개발된SUMMA(Structure for Unifying Multiple Modeling Alternative) 수자원 모델에 적용하여 재현성 달성을 위한 3개의 핵심 구성요소의 필요성과 용이성을 검증하였다. 첫 번째, 데이터와 모델의 온라인 공유는 FAIR(Findable, Accessible, Interoperable, Reusable) 원칙으로 개발된 수자원분야의 대표적인 온라인 저장소인 HydroShare를 활용하여 모델입력자료를 메타데이터와 함께 공유하였다. 두 번째, HydroShare에서 Web App의 형태로 제공되는 클라우드기반 JupyterHub환경인 CUAHSI JupyterHub(CJH)와 일루노이대학에서 제공하는 CyberGIS-Jupyter for water JupyterHub(CJW)환경에 수자원모델링 환경을 컨테이너(Docker) 환경을 통해 구축·공유하였다. 마지막으로, 클라우드에서 수자원모델의 효율적 이용을 위해 Python기반의SUMMA모델 API인 pySUMMA를 개발·공유하였다. 이와같이 구축된 3개의 핵심 구성요소를 이용하여 2015년 Water Resources Research에 게재된 SUMMA 논문의 9개 Test Cases 중에서 5개를 누구나 쉽게 재현할 수 있음을 증명하였다. 재현성의 중요성에 대한 인식의 증가로 Open과 Transparent Hydrology에 대한 요구가 증대되고 있으며, 이를 위해서 클라우드 기반의 모델링 환경구축 및 제공이 확대되고 있다. 본 연구에서 제시한 HydroShare와 같은 온라인 저장소, CJH와 CJW와 같은 클라우드기반 모델링환경, 모델의 효율적 이용을 위한 모델 APIs는 급속도로 발달하고 있는 컴퓨터 및 소프트웨어 환경에서 핵심구성요소이며, 연구의 재현성 개선을 통해 수자원공학 발전에 기여할 것으로 기대된다.

  • The purpose of this study was the development and effectiveness of the Emotional Leadership program by Enneagramr. A nonequivalent control group pretest-posttest design was used to measure the effects of the program on the Emotional Leadership. Participants in a validation therapy program were 30 Leaders who attended 6 weekly sessions of approximately 60 minutes each. Effexts were evaluated through pre and post tests that included measurement of Emotional Leadership, Organizational Performance, and the Self Efficacy. The study variables were analyzed using ${\chi}^2$-test, Fisher's exact test, t-test with SPSS statistical package. For the Leaders, a statistically significand increaded in Emotional Leadership, Organizational Performance. Therefore, it is recommended to utilize the Emotional Leadership Program for Nurse's Leaders by improving the Emotional Leadership and Organizational Performance.

A Study on the Improvement of the Military Studies Curriculum at the Civilian Universities (일반대학 군사학 교육과정 개선에 관한 연구)

  • It has been almost 10 years since the department of military studies was opened at the civilian universities. One of the important elements for the success of these new departments would be the curriculum. This paper tries to give an realistic answer to the question of curriculum. The factors influencing the design of curriculum of military studies are analyzed, such as the curricular of the military institutes that confer the B.S. in military studies, the domain of military studies and research areas, documentation classification of military studies and military engineering, scientific knowledge versus vocational capabilities in university education, relations between the B.S. courses and the master or doctorate courses, requirements asked by the Army, and moral education needed for the military officers. As a result of the analysis, the mandatory core courses should be total of 19, including 5 general courses and 14 major courses.

The Changes of Welfare and Labor Market Status of Participants of Self-sufficiency Support Program in Korea (자활사업 참여자의 수급 지위와 노동시장 지위 변동)

  • This study analyzed the changes of welfare and labor market status of participants of Self-sufficiency Support Program in Korea thorough of analysis follow-up data which were collected about the experiences and changes of participants of the program in Gyeonggi province in 2005. As the results, many of participants exited from the program within five years, and hardly anyone depends on the welfare or the program, also there is very little the revolving door phenomenon. Whatever, the program have positive effects the changes of welfare and labor market status of them. Also, self-sufficiency communities, the small enterprises are started by more two participants and aim the economic independence of them and contribution to social economy have played important role for their persistent work and economic self-reliance. The people exited from the program, however, hardly succeed in exit from the welfare and their economic conditions still are not good. Therefore, we have to arrange the program for the participants' self-sufficiency, and we rather have to effort to secure their economic well-being than emphasize the immediately employment or establishment a business.
