Data were collected via survey administered to 299 counselors who were actively engaged in counseling practice for institutions and public organizations in Seoul, Gyeonggi, Gangwon, and Jeolla regions, such as schools, universities, and professional counseling services. Data analysis was conducted using SPSS version 21.0. The results of the analysis are as follows. First, the amount of participation in individual supervision and group supervision had a significant effect on counselor development. Second, age and years of counseling experience had major effects on counselor development. Third, when the moderating effect of supervision satisfaction on the relationship between the amount of participation in individual or group supervision and counselor development was verified, it was found that supervision satisfaction had a moderating effect on the relationship between the amount of participation in group supervision and counselor development (regarding the level of understanding with cases). The result can be interpreted as meaning that a counselor's positive supervision experience has a direct influence on the outcome and quality of counseling services. • The percentage of divorce has increased rapidly even in Korea where traditionally attaches great importance to a family. However most counselors apply counseling theories and approaches developed in the West when they do counseling for Korean couple. In fact, the culture of Korea carries characteristics of relationism under the Oriental religion like Shamanism, Buddhism, and Confucianism. Therefore it is not easy to gain sufficient counseling effect in Korea with such major counseling approaches. The Korean takes a serious view of family relations between father and son, Therefore the Koran society carries on a family line, devotes their lives to the cause of education, gies precedence to the elder. In such a cultural area, it would be quite helpful for counselors to focus their attention on various roles of each rather than focus on their conflict of intimacy itself.

  • Current performance evaluation of call center employees is dependent on the number of calls they have resolved, regardless of the individual and social characteristics of employees. However, since call center tasks are highly customer-oriented and emotional laborious, individual capability as well as social characteristics of employees is critical to performance. Therefore, this study analyzed the relationship between employees' individual/social characteristics and their performance. To extract individual characteristics, a repertory grid technique was employed, whereas social network analysis was conducted to extract the social characteristics of employees. Using individual and social characteristics as input variables, multiple regression was conducted to analyze the effect of each variable on performance. As a result, in-degree centrality of dining network, initiative characteristics, open characteristics, and enjoyment of studying were determined to be important variables for performance. This study is expected to be used in both performance management and human resource management of call center practices.
