A Study on the Diffusion of NCS-based Curriculum in Junior Colleges based on the Analysis of Research Trends (NCS기반교육 연구동향 분석을 통한 전문대학의 NCS확산연구)

  • In Korea's national competency standards, competency is defined as a concept that includes the common skills required to be a member of an organization, the knowledge, skills, attitudes, and values necessary to perform the task, in addition to the skills necessary to perform the task in the field. This study examines the recently published NCS-related paper, and summarizes the key findings in the areas of the design and operation of NCS-based curriculum, key factors that should be included in the design of each individual NCS-based curriculum, positive effects and negative effects of NCS-based education and training processes. Based on these findings and educational implications, the feasibility of expanding the NCS-based curriculum in junior colleges is discussed. In addition, the roles of Human Resources Development Service of Korea and NCS web site are discussed and some suggestions concerning their roles are provided.

Comparison of sensorimotor training and cycling exercise for dynamic balance and gait function stroke patient: Single subject design (뇌졸중 환자의 동적균형 및 보행에 대한 감각운동 훈련과 사이클링 운동의 효과 비교 : 개별사례연구)

  • Background: The objective of this study was to determine whether sensorimotor training using an unstable surface affects dynamic balance and gait function in patients with hemiparesis, and to compare the effect of sensorimotor training with that of cycling exercise. Methods: Two subjects with post-stroke hemiparesis volunteered to participate in this study. Single-subject A-B design with alternating treatment was used for this study. Baseline(A) and intervention(B) phases were performed for 7 and 8 sessions, respectively. Sensorimotor training and cycling exercise were performed for 20 minutes in randomized order. Assessment tools were made by using a step test, timed up and go(TUG) test, and 6-minute walk test(6MWT). Results: Each of the participants improved in all three tests after the two interventions. Participants 1 and 2 showed the improvement for their assessment score after sensorimotor training in the step test by 42.1%(p<.05) and 58%, in the TUG, 31% and 19.5%, and in the 6MWT test, 32.3% and 10.6%(p<.05), respectively. After cycling exercise, participants 1 and 2 also improved in the step test by 32.5% and 53.1%, in the TUG, 27.4% and 18%, and in the 6MWT test, 28.8% and 3%. In statistical analysis between the two interventions, sensorimotor training showed a significant increased values in the step test for participant 1 and the 6MWT for participant 2 as compared with those of cycling exercise. Conclusion: Sensorimotor training and cycling exercise are helpful for improving dynamic balance and gait capacity. Furthermore, sensorimotor training may be more helpful than cycling exercise.

  • Climate change, rapid urbanization, and population concentration have led to a higher frequency and magnitude of disasters in the world. Recently, the occurrence of large-scale complex disasters, which are caused by a combination of natural disasters, man-made disasters, and social disasters, is increasing. In Korea, there are many case studies of damage prediction and response technology development for individual natural disasters, such as earthquakes, floods, and typhoons. On the other hand, the system basis for the efficient response and management of large-scale complex disasters is insufficient. Therefore, this study examined the representative cases of natural, social disasters, and related cases of domestic disaster response management systems. In addition, this paper proposes ways to improve the legal system for complex disaster management policies and establish a cooperation system between the ministries for an efficient response.

  • 강화학습은 한 에이전트가 자신이 놓여진 환경으로부터의 보상을 최대화할 수 있는 최적의 행동 전략을 학습하는 것이다. 따라서 강화학습은 입력(상태)과 출력(행동)의 쌍으로 명확한 훈련 예들이 제공되는 교사 학습과는 다르다. 특히 Q-학습과 같은 비 모델 기반(model-free)의 강화학습은 사전에 환경에 대한 별다른 모델을 설정하거나 학습할 필요가 없으며 다양한 상태와 행동들을 충분히 자주 경험할 수만 있으면 최적의 행동전략에 도달할 수 있어 다양한 응용분야에 적용되고 있다. 하지만 실제 응용분야에서 Q-학습과 같은 강화학습이 겪는 최대의 문제는 큰 상태 공간을 갖는 문제의 경우에는 적절한 시간 내에 각 상태와 행동들에 대한 최적의 Q값에 수렴할 수 없어 효과를 거두기 어렵다는 점이다. 이런 문제점을 고려하여 본 논문에서는 로봇 축구 시뮬레이션 환경에서 각 선수 에이전트의 동적 위치 결정을 위해 효과적인 새로운 Q-학습 방법을 제안한다. 이 방법은 원래 문제의 상태공간을 몇 개의 작은 모듈들로 나누고 이들의 개별적인 Q-학습 결과를 단순히 결합하는 종래의 모듈화 Q-학습(Modular Q-Learning)을 개선하여, 보상에 끼친 각 모듈의 기여도에 따라 모듈들의 학습결과를 적응적으로 결합하는 방법이다. 이와 같은 적응적 중재에 기초한 모듈화 Q-학습법(Adaptive Mediation based Modular Q-Learning, AMMQL)은 종래의 모듈화 Q-학습법의 장점과 마찬가지로 큰 상태공간의 문제를 해결할 수 있을 뿐 아니라 보다 동적인 환경변화에 유연하게 적응하여 새로운 행동 전략을 학습할 수 있다는 장점을 추가로 가질 수 있다. 이러한 특성을 지닌 AMMQL 학습법은 로봇축구와 같이 끊임없이 실시간적으로 변화가 일어나는 다중 에이전트 환경에서 특히 높은 효과를 볼 수 있다. 본 논문에서는 AMMQL 학습방법의 개념을 소개하고, 로봇축구 에이전트의 동적 위치 결정을 위한 학습에 어떻게 이 학습방법을 적용할 수 있는지 세부 설계를 제시한다.

A Study on the Effectual Operating Device for Private Security Service (민간경호업무의 효율적인 운영방안에 관한 연구)

  • The suggestions that follow are about the effectual operating device for private security service. First, in legal and institutional policy, new establishment by law for private security and more support from government is asked. Moreover, the restructuring or M&A between petty companies and the pricing for security service should be performed. Second, in the structural aspect of private security industry, the professional education center for private security guards should be established and the terms of payment and welfare should be improved to the level above standard. In addition, it should be achieved to change the public to have a new and correct understanding of private security and develop the specialized parts suited to the characteristic and ability of each companies. Third, the construction of operating system for private security service should be achieved; recruit system for competent security guards, marketing strategy and enforcement system, widely known confidence to client, normal training system for security guards and post management system for client. This is also to be suited to the characteristic of each companies.

  • Construction workers occupies only $10{\%}$ of the entire industry, but the $30{\%}$ of the critical accidents in whole industry occurs in construction industry. Since there are many dangerous process and lack of safety information measures in the construction industry, both short and long term operation in education, training, and information are necessary. Examples for existing accidents in construction sites will be very useful for preventing accidents. And if the research for individual accidents perfectly achieved, it will give valuable information to construction sites which will be very useful for preventing accidents. The object of this study is to develop construction safety information system to give safety information to construction process by work field. The data base are made from 860 major accidents mostly in buildings and apartments in year 1999 through 2000(KOSHA).

Implementation of Korea - Computer Access Assessment System (K-CAAS) for Persons with Physical Disabilities (지체장애인의 컴퓨터 접근 평가 시스템 구현)

  • The purpose of the study was to develop a computer access assessment system for improving computer access of individuals with physical disabilities for the first time in Korea. Korea-Computer Access Assessment System (K-CAAS) presented in this article tests five user skills of aim, drag, menu, scan, and switch. Skill levels of the five test areas could be set as low, middle, and high according to individuals' characteristics. All tests have their default set in each level, and skill levels can be selected and controlled by the abilities and goals of a user. Tests could be selected for users' training and their results could be traced and shown. Therefore, the K-CAAS is a training program to improve computer access skills as well as an assessing program. It would help users with physical disabilities operate a computer by themselves as improving their computer access skills.

A Study on the Contextual Factors Affect on the TPM Application for Loading and Unloading Equipments of Incheon Port (인천항 하역장비에 TPM 적용시 영향을 미치는 상황요인에 관한 연구)

  • We analyzed the questionnaire survey for the current maintenance of Incheon port's loading and unloading equipments and the possibility of TPM(Total Productive Maintenance) application. And also, We certificated Structural Equation Model with computer packages. Results of the survey indicated that the current maintenance of Incheon port's loading and unloading equipments was not good. We recognized the relationship of contextual factors about the productivity of the loading and unloading equipments The productivity of the loading and unloading equipment positively depends on maintenance management of equipments, but the organization and personnel management does not have a influence on the productivity of the loading and unloading equipment. So we suggest TPM as the future maintenance methodology of equipments. Using TPM to the loading and unloading equipments, we will try to improve the methodology of the organization and personnel management.

  • In this study, we performed an empirical study to decide whether the use of the TPM and TPM level of understanding of the parameters affect directly the TPM performances or not. In a TPM analysis of TPM activity factors, all factors directly affect the level of understanding. Especially individual improvement activities and autonomous activities are directly affect the performance, rather than depending on the degree of understanding of TPM to influence utilization and analyzed. In addition, training on the utilization and directly or indirectly to affect performance were analyzed. Companies take advantage of the TPM and TPM activities, the company's level of understanding of the factors and the TPM factors are closely dependent upon. Ongoing communication among TPM activities and the steady profits and sharing of comments on the risk based on the level of understanding of a TPM will be an important element in the company's performance.

  • As an FMT (Filtered Multi-Tone) transmission method of Wideband VHF communication system specified by the ETS (European Telecommunications Standards) EN 300 392-2, this paper introduces three existing realization methods, i.e., the direct filtering method using different band SRRC (Square-Root Raised Cosine) filters for each subcarrier, the PPN-DFT method using the IDFT-PPN (Poly-Phase Network) and PPN-DFT at the transmitter and receiver, respectively, and the Extended DFT method. Then, it proposes the extended IDFT-SDFT (Sliding Discrete Fourier Transform) that computes the DFT values only for interested subcarriers every sample time, and shows that it has an advantage of blind symbol timing (using no training symbol) individually for each user signal (independently of other users' signals) in the multi-user environment where the subcarriers are assigned in contiguous or interleaved blocks to each user and each user signal possibly experiences different channels.
