A Study of Probabilistic Groundwater Flow Modeling Considering the Uncertainty of Hydraulic Conductivity (수리전도도의 불확실성을 고려한 확률론적 지하수 유동해석에 관한 연구)

  • MODFLOW, 3-D finite difference code, is widely used to model groundwater flow and has been used to assess the effect of excavations on the groundwater system due to construction of subways and mountain tunnels. The results of numerical analysis depend on boundary conditions, initial conditions, conceptual models and hydrogeological properties. Therefore, its accuracy can only be enhanced using more realistic and field oriented input parameters. In this study, SA(simulated annealing) was used to integrate hydraulic conductivities from a few of injection tests with geophysical reference images. The realizations of hydraulic conductivity random field are obtained and then groundwater flows in each geostatistically equivalent media are analyzed with a numerical simulation. This approach can give probabilistic results of groundwater flow modeling considering the uncertainty of hydrogeological medium. In other words, this approach makes it possible to quantify the propagation of uncertainty of hydraulic conductivities into groundwater flow.

Extraction method of spatial relation by analyzing location tag in folksonomy (폭소노미에서 위치태그 분석을 통한 공간관계 추출 기법)

  • As the semantic web receives higher concern with an intensified necessity in these days, the research on the ontology as its core technology has been carried out in various fields. The ontology has been adopted as an alternative to work out lots of problematic issues resulted from the insufficient vocabulary selection rules in folksonomy, widely accepted under Web 2.0. Therefore the importance of research to complementarily consolidate the two disciplines, the folksonomy and the ontology, has been increased. Based on this idea this research proposes a system, which pulls out, using open services, the location information tags from folksonomy-based metadata, ultimately extracts, following location information analyses, spatial relationships among tags, and in turn automatically constructs self-correcting location information domain ontology. The system devised in this study will associate data derived from easily accessible folksonomy with meaningful and technological information from ontology.

  • Along with advance in visual culture, the importance of motion graphic has been increasingly emphasized day by day, which can maximize information delivery using image illustration and typography, graphic factors of images. In addition, we can easily see increasing cases where what a designer intends is visualized using creative typography in diverse mass media such as TV commercials, movies or web. Thanks to the effects of this trend, various ways of manufacturing works have been proposed in the field of motion typography by applying diverse factors including verbal ones, time, form, motion, colors, and sound for the purpose of expressing formless semantic notions through visual form of typography. However, physiological features such as sex, age, health status, pathological conditions, and body size can have a bigger effect on the process of real communication. Therefore, if property of quasi-verbal sound can be reflected appropriately in motion typography where communication is expressed only by visual form, it can enable people to understand what a designer intends faster and more exactly.

Hong Sang-soo in Deleuzean theater (들뢰즈 극장의 홍상수)

  • In this paper, I suggest a discourse on some delicate relations between the philosophy and the cinema, or between the visualizing philosophical reflection and the contemplating cinematic imagination. In this context, G. Deleuze is not a simple philosopher and Director Hong, not a director. Each is a kind of metonymy. Deleuzean style of philosophizing asks for Hong's nomadic style of producing cinema. and of course in the same manner, the latter asks for the former. The latter visualizes the speculative empiricism of the former, the former crystalizes the visual esthetics of the latter. To speak with Deleuzean vocabularies, it is not possible for the State Apparatus to capture the diverse works of director Hong. Because each of them is a kind of War Machine which always slips from every tackle of State Apparatus. Deleuzean key word 'genetic becomming' is a main concept of Hong's works. The point is not to dispose the theses 'becomming' of his works in the line of series but to release them in the line of rupture. My paper would show the sharp ridicules director Hong had poured on the conservative circle of the cinema in the context of Deleuzean nomadology.

Development of Clinical Terminology System for Human Body : Convergence Research of SNOMED CT (인체 골격의 좌표형 임상용어체계 표준 개발 : SNOMED CT 기반의 융복합 연구)

  • This is a methodological study to develop standards for human body coordinate clinical terminology system. The Standard was developed through four stages: Stage 1 - research plan was developed through literature review and data collection. Stage 2 - preliminary standard was created. Stage 3 - the standard was revised in accordance with the consultation of experts through seminars. Stage 4 - Final version of the standard was presented after verification of the content level. 2D human body images are expressed as x, y axes, and 3D images are expressed as x, y, z axes. Concepts and definitions of coordinates were preassembled into FSN, synonyms and preferred names of SNOMED CT. The latter combination was defined through 18 relationships. The average index was 4.01 for the content validity of the developed relationship standard. This research suggests that subsequent standards should be developed for other parts of the human body such as the brain, organs, and tissues. Also, it suggests that methodological research should be continued to increase the utilization of the standard in clinical practice.

  • In the field of year-based interpretation of important data, memory laws can be used as a way to enhance educational effectiveness. Studies related to how to remember numbers are conducted in the form of increasing memory rates by presenting information in the form of conventional simple images. We attempt to supplement the method proposed in the paper of numerical algorithm for modifying errors based on mnemonic system in mobile environments. We want to complement the error correction numerical algorithm proposed in previous work. The study was a way to compensate the errors that occur when users enter numerical information in the apps they use. In this work, we want to increase the memory rate based on two-dimensional information by imposing the concept of angles, rather than simply showing data to help recall memories from mistakes. To this end, we propose a problem-solving process using developed app, and implement and evaluate the short distance valid algorithms.

  • As the implementation of export controls is spreading, the importance of classifying strategic items is increasing, but Korean export companies that are new to export controls are not able to understand the concept of strategic items, and it is difficult to classifying strategic items due to various criteria for controlling strategic items. In this paper, we propose a method that can easily approach the process of classification by lowering the barrier to entry for users who are new to export controls or users who are using classification of strategic items. If the user can confirm the decision result by providing a manual or a catalog for the procedure of classifying strategic items, it will be more convenient and easy to approach the method and procedure for classfying strategic items. In order to achieve the purpose of this study, it utilizes deep learning, which are being studied in image recognition and classification, and OCR(optical character reader) technology. And through the research and development of the support tool, we provide information that is helpful for the classification of strategic items to our companies.

A Study on the Epic Expression of Multimedia and Contemporary Art (동시대 미술에서의 서사 표현 작품 분석 연구)

  • In the multimedia era and contemporary art, the expression of narrative is expanding in various ways based on formal theory. And the expression form is maximized according to the use of each medium. In terms of understanding artworks, an approach that combines various expressions and media using these narratives is also possible. Therefore, this study analyzed the works of the artists by selecting three artists, Sadic Guissi Alfrazi, Lindsay Sears, and Kara Walker, who fused the media using narrative structures. Through this, it was intended to present the artistic value and significance of the work and the possibility of expanding the narrative expression of contemporary art in the future. As a result of the analysis of previous artists' works, it was shown that the phase of convergence can be derived by using the medium of narrative concepts beyond the dichotomy of content and form, confirming that digital technology and media development are changing the form of art. In addition, it was confirmed that the use of narrative structure facilitates media conversion. It is expected that discussions on the new paradigm of contemporary art will progress in the future.

The Convergence of India and West in the IoT Environment: Mughal and Christian Paintings (사물인터넷환경에서 바라 본 인도와 서양의 융합: 무갈 회화와 기독교 성화(聖畫)의 만남)

  • Connectivity and knowledge are the main keywords of the IoT. In this paper, I analyzed how the two civilizations, Christianity and Islam, were connected through Mughal paintings and what result they have brought in the spread of knowledge. For that, I analyzed literature as well as paintings of those days. In terms of theme matter, Western painting was used as a means of strengthening the royal authority of the Mughal Emperor. In terms of style, perspective and shading from the Western Paintings began to be used in Mughal painting. Later, Christian symbols and themes were linked to absolute power of kingship, and further utilized them to develop into the concept of kingship = spirituality = divinity, creating an original art style that was unprecedented in the history of world painting. By analyzing the two disparate cultures in terms of 'connectivity' and 'knowledge' of the Internet of Things, such research could serve as a platform for future humanities research on the Internet of Things.

Presentation of Self and SNS Posting Styles: Focusing on Goffman's Impression Management Framework (자아 표현과 SNS 게시 형식: 고프만의 인상관리 이론을 중심으로)

  • People use various tools to present themselves including Social Network Services(SNS hereafter). This study categorized three types of presentation of self, which are genuine, ideal, and social self, and based on Goffman's Impression Management Framework, investigated if these types of presentations have any patterns related to SNS posting styles. Especially, we focused on the styles of hashtags including if hashtags are used in the main tests, if hashtags are hidden, and what kinds of words are used for hashtags. Using 450 posting data uploaded to the Instagram, we found that the posting presenting ideal self show very high rate of using hidden hashtags(98%) and using common expressions(97%), which are not the case for genuine and social self types. This results imply that people concern more about their impressions especially when they present their ideal self on SNS, partially confirming Goffman's Impression Management Framework.
