Conceptual Typology for Platform Service Ecosystems (플랫폼서비스 생태계의 개념적 유형화)

  • This study first introduces platform services and their business models. On the basis of the concepts of business ecosystem, we present a framework for distinguishing types of the platform service business models. Two key characteristics of business ecosystems-ecosystem configuration and value production process-are employed as fundamental dimensions for constructing typology. In particular, we also present the notion of value ecosystem, where not a single platform provider but a federation of platforms constitutes a virtual platform and completes a service system. The value ecosystem represents two distinct types of platform service business models : meta-platform ecosystem and platform coalition ecosystem. They show different governance structure in the platform federation and service flows across the ecosystem. We present detailed analyses of these two value ecosystems focusing on relevant cases of e-payment FinTech : Apple Pay as an example of meta-platform and Kakao Pay for platform coalition. Our conceptual typology contributes to platforms' proper strategy formulation and presents policy implications to, for example, platform neutrality.

A Study on the Industrial Distributional Characteristics of Creative Industry in Chungnam Province (충남지역 창조산업의 산업분포 특성에 관한 연구)

  • This study aims at identifying the industrial distributional characteristics of creative industry in Chungnam Province. It finds that there are 11 sectors of creative industrial in Chungnam region. In order to find out the specific characteristics of creative industry in Chungnam, it firstly carried out LQ analysis on the 11 sectors by the 16 counties of the region. It turns out that the distributional characteristics differs between county by county in terms of RCC, BQ and IG effect. These results may imply the needs of regional specific industrial development strategy by the 16 counties in Chungnam Province.

  • Defining of signage market types is an issue of great interest for both service providers and consumers. Through an interview with an expert with a deep understanding about digital signage in early-media stage, and based on analysis results, this study induced three types of signage market types. Each signage market type can be explained by their similar thoughts, opinions, concepts, and behaviors, but are dependent on the differences in a user experiences and knowledge. The study named the interactive signage market as Type 1, the network signage market as Type 2, and the signage-coupled-with-other-media market as Type 3.

An Economic Theory of Sleeping Patents (휴면특허의 경제이론)

  • The paper constructs the economic theory of sleeping patents in the knowledge-based economy. Starting with the definition of sleeping patents, we suggest the types of sleeping patents, intended and unintended ones. While intended sleeping patents are divided into 'for-defending technological position' and 'for-describing past technology', unintended sleeping patents include frictional, intrinsic, market-deficient, and institutional ones. We also introduce the concept of the natural rate of sleeping patent and measure the social loss due to sleeping patents. The study can contribute to solving policy problems for utilizing registered patents. For example, if we measure the natural rate of sleeping patent in Korea, we can estimate 'tolerable rate of sleeping patent' and control the extend of policy intervention for patents utilization. Since we invest the theory of sleeping patents firstly, the suggested concepts should be elaborated through further discussion in depth.

  • 지식경제사회에서 국가의 경쟁력은 국가의 잠재적 지식자원을 어떻게 유형화하고 부가가치화하느냐에 따라 결정된다. 국가의 지식자원을 각 개별 경제주체가 소유한 지식자원의 총체적 개념으로 정의할 때 이 개별 주체들의 지식자원을 공유하도록 유도하고 공유된 지식을 활용하여 부가가치화 하도록 하는 것이 국가의 지식경쟁력 강화와 직결되는 정부의 역할일 것이다. 이에 본 연구는 개별 경제주체가 소유하고 있는 지식을 국가적 차원에서 공유토록 유도하고 그것을 활용하여 경쟁력을 강화토록 하는 산업지식유통시스템 모형을 제안한다. 정부의 정책적 배려와 지원하에 본 연구의 제안이 현실화된다면, 산업지식유통 시스템은 산업수준의 지식유통 활성화를 통하여 기업의 지식기반 경영능력의 향상에 기여하고 선진국과의 지식네트워크를 통한 선진 지식의 도입 활성화에 기여함으로써 지식경쟁력 강화를 통한 국가 경쟁력 향상에 이바지 할 것이다.

A Study on the Subjective Perception Patterns of Social Workers to Corporate Philanthropy in Social Work Field (사회복지분야의 기업 사회공헌활동에 대한 사회복지사의 주관적 인식유형 연구)

  • This study started with concerns for corporate philanthropy that is emerging as an alternative for resource development of social work field in Korea. However, corporate philanthropy is not operating as an accomplished conception yet, but as a type of the practical discourse. Therefore corporate philanthropy is interpreted a multiplicity of meanings is used ambiguously in social work practice field. This is because theoretical reviews on the conceptual thinking of corporate philanthropy are scant and is in need of empirical inquires into conceptual perception of social workers who uses this concept as a stakeholder to corporate philanthropy. After analyzing the data using Q methodology, the result shows that social workers' major perception patterns on corporate philanthropy perspective consists of three patterns; Win-Win Partnership, Social-obligation, Strategic Materialism. These patterns are classified by the dimension of 'classical view', 'socio-economic view', 'modern view' and 'philanthrophic view'. This result will attribute to develop theories, social work practice program and social worker' training program related corporate philanthropy. And to give facilities for lucid communication among practice and theory in social work field as it materializes the explicit conception of corporate philanthropy that is understood ambiguously in Korea.

Geomorphic Conception and Function of the Divide (분수계의 지형적 개념과 기능)

  • 분수계는 지형적 실체이며, 지역의 지형 연구 분야에서 자연적 경계로서 설정된다. 분수계는 수계, 산계, 유역등의 지형 요소들과 연관된다. 분수계의 지형 형성과 기능은 경사의 법칙, 구조의 법칙, 그리고 계층의 법칙으로 설명될 수 있다. 분수계는 구조적 형성과정과 기후적 삭박과정을 통하여 변화한다. 지형분수계는 능선분수계, 하천 분수계, 폐쇄 분수계, 세탈 분수계, 문턱 분수계, 세포형 분수계 등으로 유형화 될 수 있다. 지하수 분수계는 대개 지형의 기복을 반영하지만, 지역의 지질구조, 암서, 파쇄대 등으로 인하여 지형 분수계와 일치하지 않을 수 있다. 분수계의 법칙의 예외로서 설명되는 분수계의 일반적 단면은 선형이 아닌 대상 혹은 지대로서 나타난다. 분수계를 물의 흐름을 분리하는 곳으로 볼 때, 지형분수계는 지표면의 고도에 의해서 결정되며, 지하수 분수계는 지형, 지질 구조, 선구 조적 지형 요소들의 배열, 지층의 방향을 고려하여 결정된다.

Geographical research trends on tourism resources (觀光資源에 대한 地리的 硏究動向)

  • This research aims to introduce the theoretical basis of the studies of tourism resources, by review the research trends of tourism resources in the geography field. The geographical approaches to tourism resouces can be subdicided into 3 categories according to the subject. First, the classification of tourism resource types and the approach on the spatial distribution may be enumerated. This subject has been the object of the most interest and discussion to the geographers for tourism up to now. And from the viewpoint of contents, it has been developed by classifying the types of tourism resoures, which is based on the establishment of the range and standard of tourism resources and the spatial classification of types based on the distribution feature of the area. Second, the approach about cognition, preference and interpretation on the tourism resources as the background to induce tourism phenomenon and decide the tourism destination. Judging from the fact that most of this subject is starting from the behavioural study and that the right understanding and interpretation of tourism resource is the important factor to decide the preference degree of tourists, we have to have much interest about the field of tourism geoaraphy. Third, the development of tourism resources which is showing the active study recently and its influence and effect attendant upon it may be enumerated. Today, as the economic value of tourism is become important internationally, tourism resources are recognized as the important factor to induce the industrialization of tourism. And in the series of analytical studies related to it the interest has been transferred from the economic benefit analysis attendant upon tourism development including tourism resource and to the cultural, educational, environmental and psychological influence, etc. As the result of composite examination, for the geographical studies about tourism resources, the spatial scale and the contents are being subdivided and specialized. And in the side of subject and method of study, it is developing into the positive study based on the concrete data and the measuring and analytical frame.

  • 기업용 데이터 서비스는 이제 음성, 화상, 데이터의 통합 패러다임과 전자상거래 등의 상거래 패러다임의 변화에 따라 기업의 주요 자산으로 인식되고 있다. 즉, 얼마나 기업망을 효율적으로 구성, 이용하고 또한 이를 생산 요소로 활용하느냐에 따라 기업의 생산성뿐만 아니라 수익성에도 커다란 영향을 미친다. 따라서 많은 기업 이용자들은 그들의 미래 데이터망에 대한 이전(Migration)에 신중을 기할 수밖에 없으며 이제 단순한 비용효율화 방향의 대체 서비스 모색이 아닌 기업 가치사슬상의 핵심 요소로 인식의 변화가 일고 있다. 이에 데이터 서비스 제공사업자들은 그들의 요구에 부응하는 미래 데이터 하부구조 투자와 서비스 개발을 서두르고 있으며, 이용자들의 자연스러운 Migration Path를 전략적으로 구성하고 있다. 본 고는 이용자들의 Migration 개념 변화를 고찰하고 미국 3대 사업자들의 전용회선, 프레임릴레이, ATM 서비스를 대상으로 Migration 전략을 유형화하여 비교 분석한다. 또한 이러한 분석을 통하여 국내 사업자들을 위한 전략적 시사점을 제시한다.

Teacher Feedback on Process-Centered Assessment for Scientific Argumentation (과학적 논의를 활용한 과정중심평가에서의 교사 피드백 유형 사례 연구)

  • This study investigates the types of teacher feedback in the process-centered assessment for scientific argumentation. The process-centered assessment visualizes the process of developing scientific argumentation at a group level. Four teachers and 353 high school students participated in this study. We analyzed video recordings, the collaborative modeling-argumentation papers, and teachers' interviews. The findings indicate that the teachers provided feedback on scientific concepts and the development of small group argumentation. We presented a representative case for each category in detail. The study suggests that teachers' efficient use of feedback leads to improvement in students' self-regulation. This study contributes to providing specific and useful guidelines on the use of process-centered assessment for enhancing students' scientific argumentation.
