Predicting pattern of future combat ensures a successful war. It is possible to anticipate the shape of the future combat from the fighting method of US Army in the Iraq War. The fighting method: a series of combat progress by real time information to pinpoint strike using a guided weapon by GPS, an intelligence satellite and unmanned surveillance vehicle (USV), shows that real time unification combat power is key element for decide outcome of a war. The NCW is an organically connected network centric warfare paradigm by networking a factor of operation. In this paper, studied on the improvement plan for combat power by the future computer like a portable computer, an audio-recognized computer and non-keyboard computer. In addition, this paper attempts to establish a comprehensive intelligence network of Korea Marine Corps and to apply to combat or training.

The purpose of this study is to develop the integrated curriculum for gifted elementary students based on ICM (Integrated Curriculum Model) and to apply it for analysis of the relationship between creativity and creative problem solving skills. An integrated curriculum for gifted students attending a university-affiliated institute was developed and applied to twenty mathematically gifted 5th and 6th grade students. TTCT language test and CAT test for students' products from activities were conducted. In addition, tape-recorded group discussions and activities during instruction, and interview with students and teacher, activity sheets were analyzed. As results, their language abilities shown TTCT test have been improved. Furthermore, the correlation between the test results of automata and language creativity, the average of two projects and language creativity, and future problem solving and the average of TTCT showed significant correlations. Results showed the gifted students' understanding of high level concepts and cooperation among groups were needed in order to improve creative problem solving. It suggested a further study research the integrated curriculum applying creativity and giftedness to real-life problem situations for gifted students to make them grow into essential competent persons in the future.

This study was carried to establish a new landscape-oriented gardening model based on climate, vegetation, and forest landscape characteristics. In addition, innovative forest garden models were suggested through an integrated approach to the ecological characteristics of forest vegetation communities and existing garden planting types. For the study, the key landscape elements that make up the main forest vegetation community were identified. And the vertical layers and horizontal distribution patterns of the community structure were typified by diagnostic species and their growth forms & habits such as dominant species, character species, and differential species, and degree of dominance-sociability. Based on this, a standardized vegetation structure and formation was developed by stratifying the landscape into main features, minor features, and detailed features according to visual dominant elements. Also, the applicability of the forest garden model was examined by applying the concept of borrowing landscape to representative deciduous broadleaf forests in the temperate northern region of Korea. Additionally, an integrated forest garden models based on the conceptual definition and typology of forest gardens, and a strategic approach to forest vegetation were proposed

This study investigated the representation and algorithms of western mathematics reflected on the algebra domains of Chosun-Sanhak in the 18th century. I also analyzed the co-occurrences and replacement phenomenon between western algorithms and traditional algorithms. For this purpose, I analyzed nine Chosun mathematics books in the 18th century, including Gusuryak and Gosasibijip. The results of this study are as follows. First, I identified the process of changing to a calculation by writing of western mathematics, from traditional four arithmetical operations using Sandae and the formalized explanation for the proportional concept and proportional expression. Second, I observed the gradual formalization of mathematical representation of the solution for a simultaneous linear equation. Lastly, I identified the change of the solution for square root from traditional Gaebangsul and Jeungseunggaebangbeop to a calculation by the writing of western mathematics.

'Otherness' is a major philosophical concept in modern Western thought. It has been a force through which the concept of a subject's rights emerged. This paper focuses on Emmanuel Levinas' discussion of 'otherness.' Levinas emphasizes our ethical responsibility for others, which is meaningful in that it can be applied as a paradigm of communication for use in modern society. In the context of modern times and multicultural societies, it is important to recognize the diversity of others and to promote coexistence. Coexistence at this time should be 'unifying' rather than subject-centered. This paper attempts to understand this narrative. An epic is a cognitive process that constitutes the fundamental desires and experiences of humans. Humans try to project and understand themselves through narratives. The possibility of coexistence with others can be examined by analyzing otherness as found within those narratives. Therefore, this paper suggests the possibility and direction of coexistence by analyzing the storytelling that establishes relationships by shaping characters in Guillermo del Toro's film, Shape of Water.

The purpose of this paper is to show the limitations of Just War Theory in evaluating ethical issues that can be raised in cognitive warfare, which is emerging as a new area of war. To this end, we will provide the background of cognitive warfare, derive the features of cognitive warfare based on conceptual analysis of cognitive warfare, and clarify the differences between cognitive warfare and traditional warfare. Afterwards, we will turn the discussion and take a look at the background and areas of Just War Theory as a theory that evaluates comprehensive ethical issues related to war. Then, we will elaborate what Just War Theory is and apply the ethical judgment criteria presented in the three areas of this theory, jus ad bellum, jus in bello, and jus post bellum, to cognitive warfare. Finally, we will evaluate the appropriateness of ethical judgment in cognitive warfare by applying criteria for each area and specify the limitations, thereby showing that Just War Theory has limitations as an ethical judgment criteria in cognitive warfare.

최근 일련의 기상이변현상은 과거의 기상현상과 달리 국지성 호우 발생과 강우량의 증가현상으로 나타나고 있으며, 이러한 집중호우로 인해 발생하는 홍수규모는 기존의 수공구조물들을 위협할 수준에까지 이르러 기존 수공구조물의 안전성에 대한 재검토 필요성과 신규 구조물에 대한 안전성 확보대책이 강구되고 있다. 이에 따라 수문관련의 실무에서는 설계홍수량의 산정시 설계강우에 대한 임계지속기간의 개념이 적용되고 있으나, 아직까지 설계지침에는 이에 대한 명확한 기준이 구체적으로 제시되어 있지 못한 실정이다. 따라서 본 연구에서는 수공구조물의 설계에 필요한 임계지속기간의 결정에 도움을 주고자 설계홍수량 산정시 설계 강우로부터 홍수량을 산정하기 위한 일련의 과정에서 이용되는 유역 및 기상 특성인자 등의 제반 수문요소에 따른 임계지속기간의 변동양상을 파악하고, 임계지속기간과 재현기간, 유역특성인자, 단위도 단위시간과의 관계 및 임계지속기간에 대한 강우지속기간과 첨두홍수량의 변화 등을 분석하여 설계강우의 임계지속기간 산정을 위한 기초연구자료를 제시하고자 하였다.

최근 기상이변에 따라 특정지역에 단시간의 집중호우에 의한 홍수가 빈번히 발생하고 있으면, 이에 따른 위험과 손실이 증가하고 있다. 집중호우 발생시 단지설계 및 배수체계 부분에 관련하여 도출되는 가장 중요한 문제점 중의 하나는 배수시스템의 배수불량으로 인한 단지 내수침수문제라 할 수 있다. 기존 지역 배수시스템의 설계빈도는 20년을 넘지 못하고 있는 실정이나 집중호우는 이를 상회하므로 국부적인 단지내 배수시스템 불량은 피할 수 없는 현상이다. 하지만 기존의 배수시스템 설계기법은 합리식을 기본으로 하는 정적개념의 설계 기법이므로 국부적인 배수시스템의 손실수두 발생에 의한 국지적 침수 양상을 파악하기는 부적절하다. 본 논문에서는 과거 집중호우로 인해 피해가 발생했던 중랑천 유역 중 침수가 자주 발생했던 중랑구를 대상유역으로 결정하였다. SWMM, ILLUDAS 모형을 이용하여 대상유역에 대한 유출 해석을 실시한 결과 도시유역에서는 SWMM 모형이 그 적용성에 있어서 다소 효과적인 것으로 나타났다. 도시유출모형을 GIS와 연계하기 위하여 지형공간데이터를 구축하고 GIS 도구인 Arc/Info와 ArcView를 이용하여 연계하는 방안을 제시하였으며, 유출모형의 결과값을 이용하여 침수구역도를 작성하였다. GIS와 연계시 실제 침수가 예상되는 범위을 가시화함으로써 침수발생지점을 사전에 예측할 수 있고 침수예방을 위한 기초자료로 활용할 수 있을 것으로 판단된다.

The goal of quality assurance (QA) is to minimize systematic errors in order to maintain the quality of a certain process. Statistical process control (SPC) has been utilized for QA in radiation therapy field since 2005 and is changing QA paradigm. Its purpose is to maintain a process within the given control limits while monitoring of error trends such as variation or dispersion. SPC can be applied to all QA aspects of radiotherapy; however, a medical physicist should have enough knowledge about the application of SPC to QC/QA procedures. In this paper, the author introduce a concept of SPC and review some previously reported studies those used SPC for QA in radiation therapy.

In modern society, the place we live and reside decides quality of our lives and pattern of behaviors, and it appears with indeterminative and circulating forms. The place provides different experiences and restrictions to us as intentions of human being and order of nature merges into each other. Formation of such place decides the character depending on its relationship of orders. There would be various methods to prescribe for the ability, that is, characteristics, of space. It is the purpose of this research to classify different components defining the character of the space based on a general notion of place and to find out how it is reflected in the space itself. It is to analyze difference case studies by finding out the relationship between the factors affecting the formation of places and aspects of different expressions within the space. The research would assist in forming different harmonious places reflecting the phases of this modern time as designing interior spaces, and it is also to provide footstone for the formation of space which is not only growing but also future oriented.
