The Effect of Dining Space Color and Design on Customers' Psychological Reactions, Satisfaction and Reuse Intention in Restaurants (외식업 식공간 색채 및 디자인 연출이 고객의 심리적 반응과 만족 및 재이용 의도에 미치는 영향)

  • This study is intended to look into the effect of dining space color and design on customers' psychological response, satisfaction, and reuse intention of restaurants. To achieve this, an empirical survey was carried out based on responses from 400 dining-out customers. The results were as follows. The dining space color and design had a significant and positive effect on customers' psychological reaction, satisfaction and reuse intention of restaurants. This is a result of positively evaluated service through an increased customer emotional response to simultaneous factors. It also suggest a recognition of a customer's psychological response in forming images based on restaurant attributes aside from food quality, such technique, ornamental equipment, sound, and design factors harmonized with indoor environment, in an attempt to increase customer interest in an increasingly competitive business environment. Consequently, dining space color and design can lead to customers' psychological satisfaction and reuse intention.

  • The purpose of the study is to understand the symbolic meaning of jewelry. Among various characteristics of symbols, the symbolic meaning represents the correlation between meanings. Wearing jewelry is an instinctive action that can be witnessed from ancient civilizations. Man used jewelry for various purposes, as an ornament, an amulet, a symbol of wealth or power or as a token of love. In this study, I have researched the symbolic meaning of jewelry in its historic background focusing on rings that show the strongest symbolic characteristic among jewelries. Whereas the symbolic meaning of jewelry was strongly accentuated in the ancient and medieval times, it was gradually weakened in the modern time. Also, while jewelry in the ancient and medieval times showed commonness and universality, jewelry in modern time expressed individuality. Although the meaning of jewelry changed progressively by interacting with the external environment, jewelry has always roused sense and symbolism from our hearts and has acted as a means to express ideas and emotions of human beings.

미용실의 서비스 품질과 소비자 만족에 관한 연구

  • 다양해지는 소비자들의 패션에 대한 개성적 표현 욕구에 따라 우리나라 미용산업은 헤어, 메이크업과 피부미용, 네일케어 분야로 전문화.세분화되면서 토탈 패션산업의 주요영역으로 성장하고 있다. 이러 한 토탈 패션의 등장으로 미용서비스에 대한 수요증가로 양적으로는 상당히 그 규모가 증가했음에도 불구하고, 서버스 품질에 대해서는 고객들에게 확실한 신뢰를 주지 못하고 있다. 이는 국내 미용업계가 미용서비스 제공자의 관점에서 일방적인 서비스를 창출하여 왔고, 고객이 바라는 서비스의 내용과 품질을 제대로 파악하지 못하고 있다는 사실을 의미하고 있다. 따라서, 본 연구는 미용실의 서비스품질의 구성 요인을 확인하고. 미용실의 서비스품질과 소비자 만 족과의 관계를 알아보는 것을 목적으로 한다. 이를 위한 본 연구의 연구문제는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 미용실의 서비스 품질을 결정하는 요인에는 어떠한 것이 있는가\ulcorner 둘째, 미용실의 서비스 품질 중 소비자 만족과 관련하여 상대적으로 중요한 서비스 품질 결정요인은 무엇인가\ulcorner 본 연구를 위한 예비조사에서는 개방형 질문(open-ended question)을 실시하였다. 예비조사결과 프랜차이즈 미용실, 시내중심가 미용실 그리고 집.직장 근처 미용실의 3가지 유형의 미용실은 그 규모나 소비 자 인식이 상이하여 미용실의 서비스품질 차원을 연구하는데 유용한 것으로 나타났다. 본조사에서는 설문지법을 이용하였으며, 그 대상은 서울 지역의 3가지 유형의 미용실을 이용하는 고객들중 2 20-30대의 주요 고객층으로 정하였고 편의 표집하였다. 분석방법으로는 신뢰도 검증을 위해서는 Cronbach's 외 alpha값을 활용하였고, 미용실의 서비스품질 차원의 개념 타당성을 알아보기 위하여 LISREL을 이용한 확인 적 요인분석(confirmatory factor analysis)을 실시하였다. 또한 미용실의 유형에 따른 서비스 품질의 차이를 알아보기 위해서 일원변량분석(one-way ANDV A)을 실시하였으며, 서비스품질 속성들 중 소비자 만족을 결정하는 요인들을 알아보기 위해서 다중 회귀분석(multiple regression analysis)을 실시하였다. 본 연구의 결과들을 요약하면 다음과 같다. 첫째, 미용실의 서비스 품질을 결정하는 요인으로 는 물리적 서비스(유형성, 접근성, 청결성), 판매원 관련 서비스(감정배려, 능력), 정책관련 서비스(점포운영, 명성, 신용카드) , 미용기술관련 서비스로 나타났다. 둘째, 미용실의 서비스 품질을 결정하는 요인들에 있어서 점포 유형간의 차이를 분석한 결과 전체적으로 응답자들은 프랜차이즈 미용실의 서버스 품질에 가장 만족했으며, 시내중심가 미용실과 집근처 미용 실 순으로 나타났다. 셋째, 미용실의 소비자 만족을 예측하는데 유의한 서비스 품질 결정 요일을 살펴보면, 프랜차이즈 미용 실은 청결성($\beta$ =.30), 감정배려($\beta$ =.54), 명성($\beta$ =.60), 미용기술관련 서비스 차원($\beta$ =.68)이 결정 요인으로 나타났다. 시내중심가 미용실은 청결성($\beta$ =.39), 직원의 능력($\beta$ =.49), 명성($\beta$ =.59), 미용기술관련 서비스 차원($\beta$ =.68)가 서비스 결정 요인이었고, 집근처 미용실은 청결성($\beta$ =.27), 감정배려 ($\beta$ =.57), 명성($\beta$ =.73), 미용기술관련 서비스 차원 ($\beta$ =.60)으로 나타났다. 이것으로 미용실의 소비자 만족을 예측하는데 유의한 서비스 품질 결정 요인은 청결성, 감정배려, 명성, 상품관련 서비스임을 알 수 있다. 본 연구의 방법론적 의미는 그 동안 개발된 소매점이나 패션점포의 서비스 품질에 대한 평기척도를 우리나라 미용실에 적용해 봄으로써 미용실의 특성인 유행성, 청결성, 미용실의 명성, 직원과의 친분 등을 포함한 미용실의 서비스 품질 차원과 그 신뢰성 과 유용성을 입증하였다는데 그 의미가 있다. 또한 본 연구의 결과는 미용실 서비스에 대한 소비자들의 인식과 각 미용실의 유형에 따른 소비자 만족을 예측하는데 중요한 서비스 품질 결정 요인들을 통해서 좀 더 나은 미용서비스를 정착시키는데 필요한 전략 을 수립할 수 있다는데 실질적 의미를 지닌다.

Digital Culture and the Utility of Poetry in a Convergence Age (융복합시대에 디지털문화와 시의 효용성 연구)

  • The purpose of this paper is to explore the characteristics of a digital culture, its negative effects, especially automatism of perception, a poetic strategy against automatism of perception and the utility of poetry including the therapeutic function of poetry. The new technologies offer us various experience, great opportunities and rosy future by freeing us from boring and laborious tasks, and difficult decisions. Through the excessive and habitual use of new technologies, we may become too dependent on machines, losing our thinking abilities, sensibility, perception and creativity. Therefore, we need poetry to recover the sensation of life and make us feel things. Reading poetry allows us to look into someone else's soul and cultivate the ability to empathize. As a healing fountain, poetry leads us to a way for a change of heart, a recovery of psychic health and universal love through perfect communion in ourselves and in society. Furthermore we need a systematic and in-depth study of digital poetry as well as traditional poetry.

The narrative space of sound design in films (영화 사운드디자인의 내러티브 공간 연구)

  • The purpose of this study is to reassert the important role of sound design in creating narrative space in films. The main focus is on re-interpreting Chion's sound space composition as a narrative structure. The sound design process has been analyzed to find that the physical properties of sound are purposely manipulated to create the layers of sound to be perceived by the audience in the same way as human perception and cognition of the actual reality work, eventually to create the cinematic reality. The hierarchy of the layers is determined by the importance of the narrative information contained in each sound, with the higher layers being appropriate to convey the information of the narrative, and the lower layers being efficient to deliver the emotion to the audience. With this idea, each of the Chion's space composition is explained as a distinctive area in telling a story with the separate narrative role from the others.

Concept Analysis of Nurses' Acceptance of Patient Deaths (간호사의 환자죽음 수용에 대한 개념분석)

  • Purpose: The purpose of this paper is to identify a theoretical basis of end-of-life care by examining attributes of the concept of the nurses' acceptance of patient deaths. Methods: Walker and Avant's approach to concept analysis was used. A literature study was performed to check the usage of the concept. To identify the attributes of the concept and come up with an operational definition, we analyzed 16 qualitative studies on nurses' experiences of death of patients, published in a national science magazine from 1999 to 2015. Results: The nurses' acceptance of death of patients was identified as having four attributes: acceptance through mourning, attaining insight on life and death while ruminating life, facing with fortitude and practicing human dignity. Antecedents of the concept were experiences of patient's death, confusion and conflict, negative emotions, passive responses, denial of patients' death. The consequences of the concept were found as the holistic end-of-life care and active pursuit of life. Conclusion: This study on the attributes of the concept of the nurses' acceptance of death of patients and it's operational definition will likely lay the foundation for applicable end-of-life care mediations and theoretical development.

A Study on the Spatiotemporal Interpretation of Derek Jarman's Garden (데릭 저먼의 정원에 대한 시공간적(時空間的) 해석)

  • This study looks at spatiotemporal theories regarding the pluralism of time inherent in garden space, and attempts to establish spatiotemporal theories suitable for garden spaces. Based on the established theories, this study analyzes the intimacy of garden spaces by focusing on the objective and subjective time of garden spaces in Derek Jarman's garden through a literature review. The sense of time inherent to a garden space was divided into objective and subjective time. The former refers to ecological time that is quantified and has durability, while the latter indicates time that changes according to the consciousness of the human subject. It also includes time that is emotionalized by the sense of the human subject. This study first interpreted Jarman's garden space from the perspective of objective time. The garden transforms itself into a sensitive space according to Jarman's personal emotions in the current space within objective time, showing the multilayered attributes of space. Therefore, a garden space that exists in objective time is ultimately not objective, and is transformed according to the active reception of the human subject. Next, this study examined Jarman's garden space from the perspective of subjective time. The garden space lost in Jarman's memories and the one in his future illusion turn into a space that connotes abundant meaning according to Jarman's imagination or perception. Therefore, in subjective time, garden space is transformed according to Jarman's consciousness. This study verified that garden space, regardless of whether time is objective or subjective, can create infinite space according to the consciousness or emotions of the human subject beyond the existence of physical space. Since garden space has a unique intimacy unlike urban space, this study presented the uniqueness of garden space with an approach that differs from previous studies on gardens.

An Exploratory Study on the Business Failure Recovery Factors of Serial Entrepreneurs: Focusing on Small Business (연속 기업가의 사업 실패 회복요인에 관한 탐색적 연구: 소상공인을 중심으로)

  • Recently, as social distancing have been raised due to the re-spread of COVID-19, the number of serial entrepreneurs who are closing their business is rapidly increasing. Learning from failure is a source of success, but business failure can result in psychological and economic losses and negative emotions of the serial entrepreneur. At this point, it is very important to find a way to recover the negative emotions caused by business failures of serial entrepreneurs. Recently, a strategic model has emerged to deal with the negative emotions of grief caused by business failures of serial entrepreneurs. This study identified the recovery factors from the grief of business failures of serial entrepreneurs and analyzed Shepherd's(2003) three areas: loss orientation, restoration orientation, and dual process. To this end, individual in-depth interviews were conducted with 12 small business serial entrepreneurs who challenged re-startup to identify the attributes of recovery factors that were not identified with quantitative data. As a result of the study, first, recovery factors were investigated in three areas: individual orientation, family orientation, and network orientation. It was found to help improve recovery in nine categories: self-esteem, persistence, personal competence, hobbies, self-confidence, family support, networks, religion, and social support. Second, recovery obstacle factors were investigated in three areas: psychological, economic, and environmental factors. Nine categories including family, health, social network, business partner, competitor, partner, fund, external environment, and government policy were found to persist negative emotions. Third, the emotional processing process for grief was investigated in three areas: loss orientation, restoration orientation, and dual process. Ten categories such as family, partner support, social member support, government support, hobbies, networks, change of business field, moving, third-party perspective, and meditation were confirmed to enhance rapid recovery in the emotional processing process for grief. The implications of this study are as follows. The process of recovering from the grief caused by business failures of serial entrepreneurs was attempted by a qualitative study. By extending the theory of Shepherd(2003), This study can be applied to help with recovery research. In addition, conceptual models and propositions for future empirical research were presented, which can be discussed in carious academic ways.

A Causal Model of Perceived Service Quality, Consumer Attitude, and Intention to Repatronize (지각된 서비스 품질, 소비자 태도, 재이용 의도 사이의 인과관계 모형)

  • 경영관리의 초점이 생산중심에서 마케팅중심 그리고 서비스중심으로 급격히 변화하면서 서비스 경쟁이 중요한 생존무기가 되고 있다. 차별화의 수단으로 서비스의 중요성이 강조되면서 여러 가지 서비스 속성 중에서 서비스 품질에 관한 연구가 활발히 진행되어 왔다. 그러나 서비스 품질을 구성하는 차원을 밝히려는 연구는 많았던데 비해 서비스 품질이 소비자의 태도와 재이용 의도에 어떠한 영향을 미치는가에 관한 연구는 거의 이루어지지 않았다. 본 연구에서는 지각된 서비스 품질을 구성하는 여러 차원들이 소비자의 태도에 어떠한 영향을 주며, 태도는 소비자의 재이용 의도에 어떠한 영향을 주는가를 알아보았다. 자료는 소매점 이용자를 대상으로 수집되었으며 소매점 서비스에 관한 인과관계 모형을 통하여 분석되었다. 연구 결과 기능적 품질에 속하는 신뢰성 차원과 기술적 품질에 속하는 유형설비 차원이 소비자의 태도에 긍정적인 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 기술적 품질로 볼 수 있는 가격(비용) 차원은 예상대로 부정적인 영향을 주는 것으로 나타났다. 반면에 기능적 품질에 속하는 감정배려는 통계적으로 유의적인 영향을 미치지 못하는 것으로 나타났다. 한편 서비스 품질을 통해 형성된 소비자 태도는 소매점 재이용 의도에 긍정적인 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 본 연구는 추가적으로 소매점을 특성에 따라 몇 개의 범주로 분류하고 인과관계 모형의 영향 관계가 어떻게 달라지는가를 분석하였다. 분석결과 대형 할인소매점, 백화점, 주거지역 인근의 소매점들에서 상당한 차이를 발견하였다. 즉, 태도와 재이용 의도 사이의 긍정적인 영향관계는 소매점 유형에 관계없이 나타났으나 태도에 영향을 주는 서비스 품질 차원은 매우 다르게 나타났다. 이는 차별화 지표로 서비스 품질을 사용할 경우에 서비스 관리자들이 어떠한 전략을 선택해야 하는가에 관하여 시사하는 바가 크다. 아울러 동일범주의 서비스 산업이더라도, 서비스의 특성에 따라 서비스 품질을 구성하는 중요한 차원을 규명하기 위한 추가 연구의 필요성을 제기한다.

A Study on the Effects of Store Choice Criteria of Mass Merchandisers on Store Loyalty with Customer Emotions as Moderating Variables (대형마트 점포선택기준이 점포애호도에 미치는 영향)

  • The purpose of this study is to examine the effects of store choice criteria on customer satisfaction and store loyalty, and the moderating effects of customer emotions on the causal relationship between store choice criteria and customer satisfaction. In this regard, this study tries to identify the effects of store choice criteria on customer satisfaction and store loyalty in case of mass merchandisers, and to analyze the moderating effects of customer emotions on the causal relationship between store choice criteria and customer satisfaction. For this purpose, 300 customers, who have ever shopped at mass merchandisers, were surveyed and 246 valid responses were finally used for the data analysis. The results of this study are as follows. First, out of six store choice criteria, product factors, store reputation and physical environment turn out to have statistically significant effects on customer satisfaction. This result confirms those of the previous studies. On the other hand, store accessibility, subsidiary facilities and store atmosphere are not found to have statistically significant effects on customer satisfaction. This result is somewhat different from those of previous studies, and so further research on the subject needs to be carried out. Secondly, it turns out that customer satisfaction has a statistically significant effect on store loyalty, which is in line with the results of previous studies that perceived emotions affect customers' store attitudes which in turn influence their revisit intentions. Thirdly, as for the moderating effects of customer emotions on the relationship between store choice criteria and customer satisfaction, pleasure moderates the effects of store accessibility, subsidiary facilities and store atmosphere on customer satisfaction, arousal moderates the effects of product factors, subsidiary facilities and store reputation on customer satisfaction, and finally dominance moderates the effects of product factors and subsidiary facilities on customer satisfaction. These findings partially support the results of previous studies that customers' in-store emotional experiences such as feeling good or bad enhance their store loyalty.
