Fault Diagnosis of a High-speed Railway Reduction Unit Using Analysis of Vibration Characteristics (고속철도차량 감속구동장치의 이상진단을 위한 진동특성분석)

  • The reduction unit is one of the most important components for railway vehicles because the torque of the motor must be transmitted to the wheels of the vehicle by the reduction unit. The faults in the reduction units of high-speed trains are caused by damage such as gear, fatigue. These have serious impacts on safety of the train during operation. To address this development of a system for monitoring, fault diagnosis of the reduction unit is needed to keep the vehicle running safely. Before that can be accomplished, it is most important to understand the vibration characteristics of the reduction unit in a normal state. Vibration diagnosis technology using characteristic-analysis of vibration waveform and frequency is known to be the most effective method for fault diagnosis. In this paper, we analyzed the vibration characteristics of the reduction units two Korean high-speed trains (KTX and KTX II), under normal conditions, by two test methods (driving gear test, full-vehicle test).

  • 관절 로보트를 위시한 각종 매니퓨레이터 장치의 관절 구동부는 모터와 감속기의 조합으로 구성되어 있다. 최근에는 감속기를 내재하지 않는, 직접구동 방식이 연구중이지만 모터는 고속회전율 시키는 것이 동력밀도가 크기 때문에 대부분 감속기를 사용하여 회전속도를 감속하고 토오크를 증대하여 매니퓨레이터를 구동시키고 있다. 본 연구에서는 내접 유성식 감속기의 국산화를 도모하기 위하여 원통형 핀을 내치차 치형으로 사용한 내접 유성식 감속기의 설계 기술을 개발하였다. 치형 수정계수를 도입하여 수정계수 변화에 대한 치형의 변화와 접촉 하중 및 응력의 변화를 검토하고 로오크 전달시 기구에 작용되는 하중을 해석하여 내접 유성식 감속기의 설계 기법을 제시하였다.

Design of Planetary Gear Drive Unit for Drive Conversion of Transfer case (Transfer case의 구동변환을 위한 유성기어장치 구동부 설계)

  • Since the four-wheel drive transmits the driving force to all four wheels, the traction with the road surface increases, thereby increasing the driving force. However, it has the disadvantage of lowering fuel efficiency. Therefore, four-wheel drive is commonly used as a method of converting to optional four-wheel drive when necessary while driving in two-wheel drive. This selective four-wheel drive converts the driving force by mechanically changing the electric signal sent by the driver in the transfer case. In this study, in order to mechanically change the electrical signal, a reducer is applied to the motor to increase the torque to perform the function. Therefore, in this study, a reduction mechanism applicable to the motor inside the transfer case applied to convert the drive is derived, and the reduction ratio applying the planetary gear type is optimized accordingly. And based on the derived reduction ratio, two sets of planetary gears using a ring gear in common were applied to develop a planetary gear tooth type in which the input shaft and output shaft are decelerated in the same phase. Optimization design was carried out.

  • Electric wheelchairs, the output from the motor is mainly applied to a speed reducer using a power transmission device such as a belt or a chain. However, although a speed reducer using a belt or chain is a simple device, it occupies a lot of space and has a space limitation, so it is not suitable for an electric wheelchair driving part. However, since the speed reducer of the planetary gear type is decelerated on the same axis, the volume can be reduced, so the space constraint is less than that of the belt or chain type reducer. Therefore, in this study, a driving part that can obtain great propulsion with a speed reducer using a planetary gear type was developed through a study on the driving part of a wheelchair that can be switched between manual and electric. Accordingly, the tooth shape of the planetary gear applied to the reducer was designed using the Kisssoft program. In addition, the drive part was designed to be applicable to the existing wheelchair wheels, and the mechanism was optimized for the manual/electric switching principle and operation principle of the drive part. Based on the research contents, the final design and manufacture of the wheelchair reducer drive unit in the form of a planetary gear having one sun gear, two planetary gears and one ring gear was carried out.

  • This study is to establish test method and evaluation technology of drive system appropriate to high speed train. The transmission system of high speed train serve in the severe condition compared with those of other trains, namely, they have to transmit high power to run with high speed and they have to make maximum use of the limited space. This paper reports the reviews and results for the test and evaluation method of reduction gearbox for high speed train and discusses various test items and methods about assembly and parts of gearbox transmission.

  • The transmission systems of high speed train serve in the severe condition compared with those of other trains, namely, they have to transmit high power to run with high speed and they have to make maximum use of the limited space. To clarify the capability of reduction gear unit for Korea High Speed Train, torque and temperature, vibration on the reduction gear unit were measured and test data were analyzed. This paper reports test methods and test results that performed to verify reliability of reduction gear unit during running test of Korea High Speed Train. It is confirmed from these results that the performance of reduction gear unit has not any problem.

  • In order to develop the decelerator for briquetting machine which composed of multi-staged gears, shafts and bearings, static design of the decelerator has been carried out through the analysis of bending and face forces, including structural analysis, applied on those teeth in accordance with AGMA(American Gear Manufacturers Association) standard. And also, dynamic design has been carried out with considering of vibratory forces caused by unbalance mass and transmitting error of gear. On the results of vibration analysis, it has been confirmed that there is not any critical speed within its operating range.

  • 본 논문에서는 DSP (Digital Signal Processing)를 이용한 차량용 레이다 수평안정화장치 구동 전략을 제안한다. 지대공 유도 미사일용 차량용 레이다는 전방향으로 일정 속도로 회전하며 감시정찰 임무를 수행한다. 수평안정화장치는 4세트의 수평구동모듈을 이용하여 차량 플랫폼의 수평을 유지하여 레이다의 안정적인 회전을 가능하게 한다. 이를 실시간으로 구현하기 위해 임베디드시스템인 DSP를 적용하여 경사도를 측정하고, 구동모듈에 구동 명령을 인가하여 수평을 유지한다. 수평구동모터는 감속기를 통하여 모터 토크를 증가시켜 수평 안정 동작을 수행한다. 본 논문에서는 수평구동모듈 1세트를 모델링하여 수평안정화장치를 축소 구현한다. 제안하는 구동 전략의 유효성은 시뮬레이션으로 입증한다.

  • 전자 액츄에이터의 일종인 LPM(linear pulse motor)은 직선왕복 운동을 필요로 하는 모든 응용기기의 구동에 적합한 선형 전동기로서 직접구동(direct drive)방식을 채택함으로써 회전형 전동기를 사용하는것과는 달리 감속장치, 동력전달 기구가 불필요하여 전체시스템의 구성에서 부품의 수를 줄일 수 있기 때문에 제품의 신뢰성이 향상되고 소형경량화 할 수 있다. 또한 LPM은 기계적 구조가 간단하고 비접속 직접구동이 가능하므로 기기의 특성 변화가 적고 보수성이 우수한 성능을 가지고 있다.
