The Survey of Perception, Performance and Importance in Nursing Practice of Comprehensive Nursing Care Service (간호·간병통합서비스의 간호업무 인식, 수행도, 중요도에 대한 조사연구)

  • The purpose of this study was to identify a survey on total care services, to verify the perception, performance and importance of nursing practices between nursing students and nurses. The sample of the study were 93 nursing students and 38 nurses, A structured questionnaire used in this study composed of 235 items. The collected data were analyzed using the SPSS WIN 20.0 to calculate frequencies, percentage, mean, standard deviation and t-test. The Major findings of this study were as follows: The amount and responsibility of nursing practices in total service showed that 'very much increase'was the most. There were statistically significant differences in performance of total care service by nutritional care and elimination care. There were statistically significant differences in importance of total care service by respiratory Care.

Research on Factors Affecting Intention to Re-Use Hospitals for Patients Who Have Used Integrated Nursing and Care Services (간호·간병통합서비스를 이용한 입원환자의 병원재이용의도에 영향을 미치는 요인)

  • The purpose of this research was to investigate the effects of the communication ability, communication type and satisfaction of nursing service on the re-use intention of nursing and care integration services of the hospital. The research subjects were 291 patients who were hospitalized for more than 3 days in the integrated nursing and care service center. Data were analyzed using SPSS 21.0. As a result of the study, the variables that significantly affect the reuse of integrated nursing services in hospitals were satisfaction with nursing services and integrated services. The explanatory power of these variables was 63.4%. Therefore, to increase the intention to re-use integrated nursing and care services of the hospitals, efforts are needed to increase the satisfaction of nursing services. And research on other variables that affect the guarantee is highly recommended.

  • The aim of this study was to compare perception between patient and nurse on comprehensive nursing care service using SERVQUAL model. To accomplish this goal, the 5 gaps of expectation-perception on comprehensive nursing care service was analyzed. The subjects were 192 nurses and 321 patients who admitted in comprehensive nursing care service wards. As results, patient's satisfaction was higher than patient's expectation and also nurse's performance. Therefore, we found that comprehensive nursing care service would contribute to perform holistic nursing care services in the future. To develop comprehensive nursing care service system sustainably, it needs continuous measurement of patient's expectation and satisfaction using conceptual model of this study.

  • This is a descriptive study to investigate influencing factors of job satisfaction among nurses of comprehensive nursing care ward. The participants were 114 nurses working in comprehensive nursing care ward. Collected data were analyzed by using descriptive statistics, t-test, ANOVA, Pearson's correlation coefficients, and multiple linear regression analysis. The results showed that professional self-concept and teamwork were influencing factors of job satisfaction. Therefore, in order to improve job satisfaction of nurses in comprehensive nursing care ward, education and policy support to improve professional self-concept and teamwork. are needed.

Job Satisfaction, Job Stress, Burnout, and Turnover Intention of Comprehensive Nursing Care Service Ward Nurses and General Ward Nurses (간호·간병통합서비스병동 간호사와 일반병동 간호사의 직무만족, 직무스트레스, 직무소진 및 이직의도)

  • This study was carried out to analyze and compare job satisfaction, job stress, burnout, and turnover intention of comprehensive nursing care service ward nurses and general ward nurses. The participants were 181 nurses from six hospitals providing comprehensive nursing care service in G metropolitan city. The data were collected using structured questionnaires in May 16-June 30, 2017. The data were analyzed with SPSS program, which was used for t-test, one-way ANOVA, and Pearson's correlation. As a result, there were no significant differences in the variables between comprehensive nursing care service ward nurses and general ward nurses. However, comprehensive nursing care service ward nurses had higher job satisfaction, lower job stress, lower burnout, and lower turnover intention than general ward nurses. There was a significant relationship between job stress (r=.39, p=<.001), burnout (r=.43, p=<.001), job satisfaction (r=-.66, p=<.001), and turnover intention. Comprehensive nursing care service ward nurses were more positive about their nursing work than general ward nurses. The findings of this study can be used as basic data for effective nursing resource management in a comprehensive nursing care service ward.

Exploring Job Stress, Job Satisfaction, and Turnover Intention of Nurses in the Comprehensive Nursing Service (상급종합병원의 간호·간병통합서비스 병동에 근무하는 간호사의 직무스트레스, 직무만족 및 이직의도)

  • The purpose of this study was to examine job stress, job satisfaction, and turnover intention of the nurses who work at the comprehensive nursing service units in two academic medical institutions that provide healthcare service at the tertiary care level in Korea. A descriptive study was conducted with the nurses by using self-reported questionnaires. We used descriptive statistics to summarize the data and Mann-Whitney U test for group comparison. The mean scores of job stress, job satisfaction, and turnover intention were $89.17{\pm}12.56$, $107.25{\pm}6.85$, $37.19{\pm}4.86$, respectively. Nurses with religion showed more job stress than those without. Nurses with their age below 30 years old had significantly less job satisfaction than those older than 30 years old. Monthly income was significantly associated with turnover intention in our data. The top three sub-category of the job stress were conflict with physicians, patients and their caregivers, and conflicts with others; and those of the job satisfaction were pay and promotion and task requirement. Job stress, job satisfaction, and turnover intention were significantly correlated. In order to reduce turnover intention of nursing professionals in the comprehensive nursing service, job stress related to issues on relationships with patients, their family, health care providers need to be taken into consideration. Policy and administrative support are needed to improve their work environment.

The effects of Emotional Labor, Resilience, and Nursing Work Environment on Turnover Intentions of Comprehensive Nursing Care Medical Service Nurses (간호간병통합서비스병동 간호사의 감정노동, 회복탄력성, 간호근무환경이 이직의도에 미치는 영향)

  • The purpose of this study was to examine the effect of emotional labor, resilience, nursing work environment on turnover intentions of comprehensive nursing care medical service ward nurses. The data were collected from 186 subjects using a structured self-report questionnaires and analyzed using SPSS WIN Version 22.0. The mean score of emotional labor, resilience, nursing work environment, and turnover intentions were 3.66, 3.52, 2.62, and 3.82. Turnover intentions had significant correlation with emotional labor, resilience and nursing work environment. The influencing factors on turnover intentions were sex, emotional labor, resilience and nursing work environment of comprehensive nursing care medical service ward nurses. These result indicates that in order to reduce the turnover intentions of comprehensive nursing care medical service ward nurses, it is necessary to develop and apply an intervention programs considering sex, emotional labor, resilience, and nursing work environment.

Impacts of Role Conflict and Job Stress on Nursing Professionalism of Clinical Nurses at Comprehensive Nursing Care Wards (간호·간병통합서비스 병동 간호사의 역할갈등과 직무스트레스가 간호전문직관에 미치는 영향)

  • The purpose of this study is to verify the current states of the comprehensive nursing care services and nursing professionalism the role conflicts and job stresses experienced by the nurses, to investigate the influences affecting the nursing professionalism. The subjects were 174 nurses, the role conflict, job stress, and nursing professionalism have a significant correlation with each other. Data were analyzed by t-test, correlation, regression analysis using SPSS WIN 23.0 program. The result showed that the correlation between nursing professionalism was significant in role conflict(r=-.186, p=.014) and job stress(r=-.389, p<.001). In addition, factors affecting nursing professionalism were in order of role conflict and job stress(F=23.810, p<.001), and explanatory power was 11.8%.

  • The purpose of this study was to identify nurses' communication style and the extent of their health literacy and to discern the impact of nurses' communication and health literacy on self-care behaviors, as perceived by elderly diabetic patients in comprehensive nursing-care service wards. This study provides basic data for establishing an efficient nursing-care service-system environment through high-quality self-management. The measurement and improvement of an accurate health literacy level of elderly diabetic patients is an important intervention method to increase the self-care behavior of patients. Therefore, by developing a distinguished nursing intervention plan, early treatment of diabetic patients and quality of care may be possible.

A Comparison of Factors Affecting Hospital Revisit Intention in Comprehensive Nursing Care Unit and General Care Unit (간호·간병통합서비스병동과 일반병동환자의 병원재이용의사 영향요인 비교)

  • This study compared nursing service satisfaction and revisit intention of comprehensive nursing care unit and general care unit patients and confirmed the impact of nursing service satisfaction on revisit intention. We used data from 201 survey questionnaires collected from four general hospitals located in B-metropolitan area. Data were collected from Jun 1 to 30, 2019. The data were analyzed using x2-test, t-test, ANOVA, Scheffé test, Pearson's Correlation Coefficient, and Stepwise multiple regression. The results show that nursing service satisfaction was significantly higher in patients admitted to the comprehensive nursing care unit than in the general care unit. There was a significant correlation in increased nursing service satisfaction being associated with increased revisit intention. Among subcategories of nursing service satisfaction, Empathy and Tangibles were cited by 56% of the comprehensive nursing care unit and 40% of the general care unit. As a result of this study, it is necessary to prepare a nursing system that can continuously monitor nursing service satisfaction in order to increase hospital revisit intention and expand the implementation of a comprehensive nursing care unit system.
