The purpose of this study was to research the perception on patient private information protection of 126 nursing students before clinical practice. The mean score of perception on patient private information protection was 4.52 points of full 5. The perception of protecting patient privacy was no significantly differentiated with general characteristics of nursing students. Development and application of patient private information education program for inexperienced nursing students is necessary. Also it is necessary to seek joint plans between medical institutions and universities to improve the awareness of patient privacy.

This study is a descriptive research study to analyze factors affecting their intention to use emergency contraceptive pills for nursing students. Data collected using the online questionnaire for 195 nursing students located in J province from February 3, 2021, to February 25, 2021. Data were analyzed using SPSS 22.0, and the analyses included descriptive statistics, independent t-test, ANOVA, Pearson's correlation coefficient test, and multiple regression. As a result, the average knowledge about emergency contraceptive pills was 6.78±2.46 out of a total of 12 points, the average attitude 3.04±0.64 out of a total of 5 points, and the average intention to use 4.30±0.90 out of a total of 5 points. These factors were significant predictors of Intention to use emergency contraceptives pills and accounted for 13.4% of the variance. In conclusion, it is necessary to develop an education program for emergency contraceptives in order to prevent unnecessary treatment through appropriate use of emergency contraceptives pills when necessary. And a study to verify the effectiveness of the educational program is suggested.
The purpose of this study is a descriptive research study to identify factors affecting nursing students' confidence in performing nursing using artificial intelligence and provide evidence for the development of nursing education programs. Data collected from 245 nursing students were conducted using descriptive statistics, t-test, one way ANOVA, Pearson correlation coefficient, and multiple regression analysis using SPSS/WIN 21.0 program. The reliability of the tool was verified using Cronbach's alpha coefficient. As a result of the study, knowledge of artificial intelligence was 2.52 points, awareness was 3.52 points, attitude of acceptance was 3.74 points, and confidence in nursing performance was 5.47 points. The factors affecting confidence in performing nursing using artificial intelligence were knowledge and attitude, with an explanatory power of 50.8%. Purpose: This study aimed to develop a multicultural education program that includes contact with persons from multiple cultures and to report on the program's effects on intercultural communication competence and nursing professionalism. Methods: A multicultural education program that included contact with persons from multiple cultures was developed, and a quasi-experimental study was performed using a non-equivalent control group pretest-posttest design. The experimental group comprised 32 participants, and the control group comprised 26 participants. An online survey was conducted before and immediately after the intervention to collect data. Results: The experimental and control groups' mean scores for intercultural communication competence before the intervention were 3.67 and 3.84, respectively, while their mean scores for nursing professionalism were 3.87 and 3.69, respectively. After the intervention, both the intercultural communication competence score and the nursing professionalism score improved to 4.02 in the experimental group. The study demonstrated significant improvement in intercultural communication competence and nursing professionalism after the multicultural education program was conducted. Conclusion: The study's results demonstrate the need to develop a multicultural education program including contact and communication with persons from multiple cultures, such as international students, women who immigrated for marriage, immigrant workers, and multicultural families.

This study was conducted to confirm the differences in nursing process competence, critical thinking disposition, and education satisfaction between clinical practicum and school practicum in the prolonged COVID19 pandemic. As an inequality control post-hoc design study, 55 students who agreed to participate in the study among the third year of nursing college students who took adult nursing practice were targeted. Data were collected by classifying the students who participated in the school practicum into the experimental group(N=29) and the students who participated in the clinical practicum into the control group(N=26). The collected data were analyzed using SPSS/WIN 22.0 program. As a result of the study, there was no significant difference in nursing process competence and critical thinking disposition between the two groups. However, in the control group, overall satisfaction with education (t=-9.82, p=.040) and recommendations to other students (t=-1.88, p<.001) were found to be significantly higher. Although it was not possible to confirm the difference between the effects of clinical practicum and school practicum as a result of the study, the significance of the study could be found in that there was no difference. In line with the post-corona era, future research on the development of a practicum program consisting of various contents, teaching methods, and practice to achieve the goal of practicum and analysis of the effectiveness of the program is suggested.

The purpose of this study was to develop and apply a mental simulation practice program using standardized patients for nursing students and to verify the effectiveness. This study is a single-group pre- and post-design study, and a structured questionnaire was provided to 186 nursing students at a university in J for data collection. The collected data were analyzed using SPSS/WIN 27.0 program. As a result of the study, the mental simulation practice education program using standardized patients showed the subjects' communication ability (t=-2.575, p=001), learner self-efficacy (t=-2.228, p=.026) and problem-solving ability (t=-2.298, p=.017) was found to be effective. As a result of this study, it is necessary to develop and apply a simulation practice education program that creates an environment similar to the actual situation and applies various cases using the necessary resources to improve the field adaptation ability of nursing students.
This single-blinded, nonequivalent control group pretest-posttest study was undertaken to evaluate the effectiveness of simulation education on clinical judgement, collaboration, communication skills, and perceived education practices and simulation design characteristics among student nurses in Korea. Participants were 47 students (19 in the experimental group and 28 in the control group) recruited by convenience sampling. The simulation based clinical reasoning education consisted of seven weekly, 120-minute high fidelity simulations. All participants completed the pretest and 7-week post measurements of a clinical judgment, collaboration, and communication skills with 4-week post measurement of collaboration, and participants in the experimental group provided a measurements of perceived education practices and simulation design characteristics. Data were analyzed using repeated measured ANOVA, and mixed linear model with SAS 9.2. Significant improvements were found in the experimental group for clinical judgment, collaboration, communication skill, and perceived education practices and simulation design characteristics. The study results show the impact of the perceived education practices and simulation design characteristics on facilitating the effectiveness of simulation education. The findings suggest a feasible and sound teaching method for student nurses and the need for further studies with a larger sample.
The study was aimed to identify the educational needs for gerontological nursing using the nursing diagnosis classification of hospital nurses. A cross-sectional survey was conducted on 245 nurses who had experience caring for older patients within 1-year at two nurse web cafes. As a result of the study, 43 nursing diagnoses were classified into 6 areas: acute care, daily life care, education and counseling, environment and resource management, health promotion, and geriatric disease management. Nursing educational needs differed according to the age, sex, marital status, education level, size of the hospital, and working experience of the nurse. In order to effectively perform nursing care for the elderly and geriatric patients, it may be necessary to investigate the needs of continuous education and develop a detailed education program.
