We usually applied PPP CHAP when the visited ISP subscriber accesses to authentication server in own home ISP network and IP Assignment for remote Internet service. But PPP CHAP doesn't support in case of visited ISP subscriber in GPRS network accesses to authentication sorrel in own home ISP network for wireless Internet service. We suggest solution for this problem with PPP CHAP improvement. For this we propose the modified PPP CHAP message format, PCO Message format at MT, and interworking message and format between GGSN and RADIUS in home ISP network for wireless internet service of mobile ISP subscriber at GPRS network in this paper. We also show authentication results when visited mobile ISP subscriber via PPP CHAP at GPRS network accesses the RADIUS server in home ISP network.

본 논문에서는 무선 인터넷 환경에서 CHAP 인증 기법을 이용한 로밍 서비스 지원방법을 기술한다. 이를 위해 특별히 GPRS 망으로 이동한 이동 ISP 망 가입자가 자신의 홈 ISP 망을 접속하여 인증을 받기 위한 기법을 제시한다. 또 이동 ISP 망 가입자의 단말에서 정의되어야 할 인증 메시지 구조와 GPRS 망 게이트웨이에서 구현 될 메시지 구조를 제시한다. 아울러 GGSN과 ISP 망간의 인증 메시지 구조를 정의하며 이들 제안된 내용에 대해 시험 환경 구축을 통해 실제 시뮬레이션 결과를 보였다.

We describe CHAP authentication for roaming service method of visited ISP subscriber on GPRS network. We also illustrate how visited mobile ISP subscriber can access ISP server and authenticate RADIUS in home network via Gateway GPRS Support Node (GGSN) on GPRS/UMTS network for wireless internet service and roaming. In this paper, to provide a method for providing a network separation subscriber's facilities. How to provide this subscriber's facilities include phase generating authorization key in server, saving activation file in portable data medium included server's authorization key, executing saved activation file in client's portable storage and providing virtual machine by result client's execute file. In case of moving work, the virtual subscriver's facility can provide for a business traveler.

초고속 인터넷 서비스가 일반화되고, PDA 및 노트북 등의 휴대 이동 컴퓨팅 기기의 사용이 증가하면서 인터넷 환경이 유선망에서 무선망으로 점차 변화하고 있다. 무선 인터넷 제공을 위한 주요 인프라는 이동 통신망이나 무선 랜 망이며, 서비스 가입자들은 무선망에서도 유선망과 같은 높은 품질과 안전한 서비스를 요구하고 있다. 그러나 무선망은 유선망에 비해 외부로부터의 공격에 매우 취약하므로 사용자의 QoS 요구사항 뿐만이 아니라 안전한 통신을 보장해야 한다. 현재 표준화 기관인 IETF의 Mobile IPv6 워킹그룹에서도 보안문제를 가장 중요하게 다루고 있으며, 기존의 보안 기법들의 취약성을 극복하기 위한 방안으로 표준작업 그룹에서는 인프라 차원의 AAA인증 절차를 이용한 이동노드의 인증 방안이 연구되고 있다. 본 눈문에서는 무선인터넷 가입자의 안전성과 서비스 품질을 보장하기 위해 차별화 서비스를 적용한 Mobile IPv6와 AAA연동 방안을 제안 하였으며, AAA 인증 절차에 따르는 핸드오프 지연을 줄이기 위해 Fast Handoff를 적용한 방안을 제안한다.

현대사회는 IT 기술의 급속한 발달과 초고속망을 통한 인터넷 및 컴퓨터의 보급으로 인해 u-지식사회라는 새로운 문화적 변환기를 맞이하고 있다. 특히 광대역 통합망 환경이 구축되면 방송의 IPTV와 통신의 VoIP 서비스는 많은 수요를 불러올 것으로 예상된다. 그러나 IPTV를 제공받는데 있어 불법적인 개인정보 수집, 기술적 개인정보 유출됨에 따라 무분별하게 불법제어, 콘텐츠 불법 유통, 서비스 도용, 비인가자 접근 등의 문제점이 발생할 수 있다. 따라서 본 연구에서는 멀티미디어 서비스 제공을 위한 가입자 인증 기술에 관한 연구를 진행하여 멀티미디어 서비스를 제공하는데 있어 가입자 측면에서의 안전성과 효율성을 제공하도록 하였다.

In the virtual home environment (VHE), which was proposed to offer global roaming and personal service environment portability, user's profiles and service logics are conveyed from home network to visited network to provide services at the visited network. Because user's profiles and service logics may contain confidential information, some procedures for mutual authentication among entities for offering confidence are needed. For these issues, we propose and analyze three 3-Party mutual authentication Protocols adaptable to the VHE in 3G ; password based mutual authentication protocol, mutual authentication protocol with CHAP and key exchange and mutual authentication protocol with trusted third party.

A subscriber-oriented service became necessary for the QoS management due to the development of network. BcN(Broadband convergence Network) which incorporates communication, broadcasting and internet not only improves the quality of the communication and broadcasting service but also. aims at broadband service. Therefore, QoS management for each subscriber becomes more important. Not yet, however, the discussion for the subscriber oriented QoS management is not activated. Although, there are several techniques for subscriber distinction using flow information, IP information or MAC information, but they are only processed in layer 3 network. Actually, it is impossible to manage QoS of all subscriber's in layer 3 network. In this paper, we propose a method for QoS management scheme that does not need additional processes or large hardware in layer 2 network and analyze efficiency and overheads. We propose the first subscriber-oriented service method in layer 2 network that is applicable to either existing network or BcN.

최근 통신 사업자(WISP)들은 공항, 아파트 등 핫스팟 지역에서 무선랜을 공중 액세스망으로 이용한 초고속 무선인터넷 서비스 네트워크를 구축하고 있다. 이러한 가운데 무선랜에서의 보안 결함이 밝혀지고, 무선랜 환경에서의 개인 프라이버시 침해 문제가 사회적인 현안으로 등장하였다. 본 고에서는 무선랜 기반 공중 액세스망의 보안성 강화를 위하여 국제 표준화기구에서 논의하고 있는 가입자 인증 및 키관리 기술의 동향과 향후 전망에 대해서 분석해 보고자 한다.
