Age and Growth of Redlip Mullet (Chelon haematocheilus) in the Han River Estuary, Korea (한강 하구역 가숭어 (Chelon haematocheilus)의 연령과 성장)

  • Age and growth of redlip mullet, Chelon haematocheilus were determined using samples collected in Han River estuary of Korea from June, 2013 to May, 2014. Age was determined from sagital otoliths and Annul marks were formed in January once a year. In addition, spawning season was estimated in May, thus first ring was formed 8 months. The mullets were principally composed of 0 to 3 years old and the oldest was 9 years old. Relationship between standard length (SL) and total weight (TW) were $TW=0.0124SL^{3.0133}$($r^2=0.9931$). The Von Bertalanffy growth parameters estimated were $L_{\infty}$ 61.3, $W_{\infty}$ 3,230.6, K 0.29/year, $t_0$ - 0.05 year.

  • A consistent agreement has been made among researchers with regards to entrepreneurship as a critical determinant in fostering and promoting start-up new businesses. Many prior studies claim that entrepreneurial education plays a significant role in facilitating and enforcing entrepreneurship among people, and consequently it leads to active creation of new businesses. This study examines practical effectiveness of entrepreneurial education being provided by universities for university students. The findings of the study are summarized as followings. The effect of entrepreneurial education was significantly influencing on entrepreneurial intention of university students. It also turned out entrepreneurial education delivered a significant effect on forming both entrepreneurial motivation and self-efficacy of university students. Mediating effect was appeared partially over the path between entrepreneurial education and entrepreneurial intention by self-efficacy and entrepreneurial motivation. Discussion and practical implication on the findings are addressed and provided.

  • The cement is accomplished with CaO, SiO2, Al2O3 and Fe2O3, etc. After pulverizing materials of the limestone, the sand and the clay(shale), iron ore, the cement becomes clinker materials sintering from the rotary kiln of oxidizing atmosphere. The part in the materials of the clinker is substituted with slag, sludge etc. and it is used. because The chromium which is to be included in the clinker materials, in sintering process hexavalent chromium is converted with the chrome. Consequently it changed the type and a content of clinker materials and test hexavalent chromium of the clinkers which is manufactured.

  • A pilot scale continuous Kimchi pasteurizer was used to study some factors affecting the retardation of acidification of Chinese radish Kimchi, stored at $20^{\circ}C$. The degrees of acidification of Kimchi were measured in terms of pH, acidity and absorbance. The shelf-life of the pasteurization temperature from 60 to $70^{\circ}C$ did not result in any significant effect on delaying the acidification of Kimchi during storage, while lowering of storage temperature from 25 to $5^{\circ}C$ gave rise to a marked increase in the the shelf-life of Kimchi.

  • Some substances of cement could make underestimate concentration of hexavalent chromium(Cr(VI)) as they reduce Cr(VI) to Cr(III) in acidic condition during the determination of Cr(VI) content in cement. The reduction of Cr(VI) increased with elapsed time after acidification in this study. The reduction rate varied with various cements. From our result, we can conclude that simultaneous additions of acid and DPC were required for the accurate measurement of Cr(VI) in cement. The high recovery rate of 94.3 to 106.7% with the simultaneous acid-DPC addition method can also support our conclusion.

Comparison of emotional terms elicited for Korean home meal replacement between Chinese and Koreans (한식 가정간편식(home meal replacement)에 대해 도출된 중국인과 한국인의 감정 용어 비교)

  • Recently, it has been reported that the positive emotional responses from previously consumed food could be transferred to the new food, affecting the acceptance of the food. This study was conducted to develop emotional lexicons for evaluating consumers' emotional responses to the food. Focus group interviews were conducted using 15 Koreans and 23 Chinese consumers to elicit emotional terms for Korean food HMR products. Using 23 Chinese participants who did not participate in the previous interview, emotional terms were screened through discussions in an interview setting. An online survey among 50 Koreans and 50 Chinese was carried out to evaluate and verify the valence and arousal potential of the selected terms. Elicited emotional terms in these two countries had similar valence and arousal potentials. However, cross-cultural differences were also found, mostly in arousal potential. Therefore, interpretation should be done carefully when comparing emotional responses between Korean and Chinese subjects.

  • This study aims to design folk song metadata based on the OAIS reference model for the folk songs' preservation and permanent use. Thus, the folk songs' general characteristics were investigated by researching literature and related technical standards. The type of records, the methods and standards for long-term storage of records, OAIS reference models, and each package's metadata elements were identified through opinions from the popular songs' creators and researchers. The results awere that first, folk songs were created for social transformation, serving as a cultural heritage different from popular songs given their noncommercial quality. Second, the types of folk song records were identified, and the long-term preservation system suitable for the types of records was based on the OAIS reference model. Third, the metadata were edited, and the OIS reference model was applied such that respect was given to the folk songs' characteristics, context, and original order. Fourth and last, information package metadata elements matching the folk songs' records were derived and applied to the representative Korean folk song, "The March for Being."

  • 오늘날 정보시스템 실패의 많은 원인이 기술적인 문제만을 중시하고 정보시스템과 관련된 조직, 또는 관리적인 요소들을 소홀히 하기 때문이라는 지적이 있다. 여러 MIS 학자들은 정보시스템 개발 시 이러한 기술적인 관점에로의 편중의 원인을 시스템 개발자들이 가진 편협된 준거체계(Frame of reference)에서 찾고 있다. 그러나 이러한 주장들은 아직까지 단순히 이론적인 단계에 그치고 있는데, 본 연구는 이러한 주장에 대한 실증적 근거를 제시하고자 한다. 그 방안으로 본 연구는 시스템 분석가의 준거체계와 시스템 개발 시 분석가가 발견하는 개발시의 문제의 유형간의 관계를 제시하고 있다. 본 연구의 결과 사회-기술적(Socio-technical)이거나 사회적인(Socio) 준거체계를 가진 분석가들이 기술적인(Technical) 준거체계를 가진 분석가들보다 더 조직적인 문제를 많이 발견하고 중시함이 나타났다. 그리고 통계적으로 유의하지는 않았지만, 사회-기술적인 시스템 분석가들이 사회적이거나 기술적인 준거체계를 가진 분석가들 보다 기술과 조직적인 문제 모두에 균형있는 관점을 유지하고 있음을 알 수 있었다. 이러한 본 연구의 연구결과는 학문적이며 실무적인 시사점을 제시하고 있다. 우선 학문적 시사점을 살펴보면, 시스템 개발 현장에서 조직과 관리적인 관점의 문제가 소홀히 다루어지는 원인을 알아 볼수 있는 이론적 배경을 제공하고 있다는 것이다. 그리고 실무적 시사점은 보다 균형 있는 시각을 가진 시스템 분석가를 만들기 위하여 학교 프로그램에서 어떤 교과과정을 만들어야 하며, 또 기업의 정보시스템 관리자들이 평소에 어떤 문제들을 보다 많이 강조하고 상기시켜야 할 필요가 있는지를 알려 준다는 것이다.

  • The rice water weevil, Lissorhoptrus oryzophillus are major pests of aquatic rice plant throughout the country. In field, we examined efficacy of Steinernema carpocapsae and Xenorhabdus nematophilus against rice water weevil, Lissorhoptrus oryzophilus. Steinernema carpocapsae showed 71-74.2% mortality after 15days in the field. Also symbiotic bacteria Xenorhabdus nematophilus isolated from Steinernema carpocapsae showed 33.3-58.3% mortality after 15days at vat against rice water weevil, Lissorhoptrus oryzophilus.
