A Study on Optical Current Sensor and Voltage Sensor for automation of power distribution (배전자동화 개폐기 내장형 광 전류 및 광 전압 센서에 관한 연구)

  • Optical current sensor and optical voltage sensor modules were designed and fabricated to improve measurement error and insulation in automatic power distributor By using Faraday effect, optical current sensor with an $\alpha$-iron core was designed and fabricated to minimize current induction of the other phase and was optimized to maintain linearity. Optical voltage sensor was fabricated owing to the pockets effect and adopted spatial electric field type because of small room in an automatic power distributor. To connect a distributor with an external terminal for signal processing, optical multi connector was designed, fabricated and tested for coupling loss and gas leakage. The linearity of optical current sensor for applied current maintains variation of smaller than 2.5% for applied current range from 20A to 700A. The linearity of optical voltage sensor was smaller than 1% for appling voltage from 6.6kV to 19.8kV. Since the measured characteristics are good, these devices can be considered as being applicable in practice.

  • In this paper, we propose a diagnosis algorithm for 25.8kV $N_2$ insulated Pad-mounted Switchgear in oder to improve reliability by preventing of fault in advance. The proposed algorithm can diagnose the problems of Pad-mounted Switchgear such as gas leakage and VI(Vacuum Interrupter) trouble (contact abrasion, coil aging etc.) by using pressure sensor, stroke sensor and coil current sensor.

  • An underground electric switch is a high-voltage switch used in distribution network systems for a reliable power supply. Many studies are being conducted to expand the switch to use an eco-friendly gas using dry air instead of SF6 gas to reduce greenhouse gas emissions. In this study, a flow analysis model was established to improve the performance of an eco-friendly gas switch. The results were compared and reviewed through experiments. For the optimal arc grid design applied to the switch, the flow characteristics based on the flow path configuration and the changes in arcing time for each configuration were compared. Flow analysis can predict the switch flow distribution, and a comparative review of the flow path configurations of various methods is possible.

  • 이 논문은 금속성 돌기물에 의한 불평등전계중에서의 비진동성과 진동성 임펄스전압에 의한 SF$_{6}$ 가스의 절연파괴 특성에 대해 기술하였다. 절연파괴전압-시간특성을 가스압 0.1-0.5MPa의 범위에서 정.부 극성의 전압을 인가하여 측정하였으며, 그리고 50.ohm.분류기를 통해서 전구방전 전류를 관측하였다. 가스압력에 의한 리이더 진전시간의 의존성도 측정하였다. 스트리머 코로나에 의해 발생하는 공간전하에 의한 국부전계강화는 시험갭의 전기적 절연파괴에 영향을 미치는 것으로 판명되었다. 절연파괴는 초기 스트리머 코로나로부터 발단되어, 국부전계강화에 의한 리이더진전으로 이루어진다.

  • 종래 가스절연개폐장치용 제어 패널은 아날로그 제어방식으로 제어 패널의 시퀀스 제어회로를 계전기, 스위치, 카운터, 타이머, 파이로트 램프, 경보 표시장치, 케이블 등을 이용하여 구현한다. 그래서 제어 패널 내부에 각종 계전품과 케이블이 많이 필요하게 되어서 복잡한 것이 단점이다. 또한, 시퀀스 제어회로의 수정이 필요하면 계전품, 배선을 수정해야 하므로 제어 패널의 유연성이 낮다. 이것을 디지털 제어 패널로 대체하면 아날로그 제어방식으로는 구현하기가 어렵거나 불가능한 기능들을 쉽게 구현할 수 있으며, 시퀀스 제어회로의 수정이 필요하면 종래에는 계전품, 결선을 수정해야 했으나 소프트웨어의 수정만으로 가능하여 제어 패널의 유연성이 향상되며 제어기의 내부가 PCB 보드로 되어 있어서 제어 패널의 유지보수성이 향상되며, 종래에는 계전품 케이블을 이용하여 구현한 기능들이 소프트웨어로 가능하게 되므로 제어 패널의 배선이 많이 축소되어 조립 작업성이 향상되고 원가절감이 가능하다. 원격 통신기능이 가능하여 SCADA/REMOTE와 통신으로 연결되어 변전소 종합자동화에 적합하다.

  • 송배전 system에서 모선관리 및 운용에 있어 초고압 차단기는 매우 중요한 역할을 담당하고 있다. 선로의 운전상태와 차단기의 투입 상황 인식 및 확인은 필수요건이다. 이러한 차단기의 운전상태를 전자적인 신호성분을 검지하여 비접촉식 개폐 확인 unit가 필수적으로 대두되고 있다. 이 unit는 고신뢰성, 고안정성을 요구하며 정확한 표시가 필요하다. 송배전의 모든 System에 적용 가능하며 적용시 선로와 차단기의 운전 및 보수에 절대적인 안정성을 제공한다.

  • In this paper, a method to assess the reliability of an insulating spacer used in gas insulated switchgear by electrical accelerated lifetime test is represented. And a test plan to assure the expected lifetime with 90 % confidence level is also included.

A Study on the Strength Safety of a Gas Valve (가스밸브의 강도안전성에 관한 연구)

  • This paper presents the FEM analysis results on the strength safety of a gas valve for a LPG cylinder. Based on the FEM analysis, the maximum von Mises stress on the boundary zone between a safety valve and the upper area of the thread is 99.2 MPa for the supplied gas pressure of 3.5 MPa in which the gas valve is fully opened. The maximum von Mises stress of 99.2 MPa is considered as safety value, because that value is lower than the yield stress of a brass material. In this case, the maximum deformation at the upper right part of the pressure regulator is 0.002mm. The maximum deformation zone is not a meaning part of the sealing part such as an O-ring or a diaphragm of a gas valve and a pressure regulator. The proposed hybrid gas valve model in which is integrated with a conventional cut-off valve and a pressure regulator is recommended as a gas leakage free mechanism and minimized compact size for a LPG cylinder.

A Study on the Improvement of Voltage Measuring Method of 22.9 kV-y Distribution Lines (22.9 kV-y 배전선로의 전압계측방법 개선에 관한 연구)

  • An objective of this study is to develop a voltage measuring device that uses a gas-filled switch (GS) on 22.9 kV-y extra-high voltage distribution lines. The voltage measuring device proposed in this paper is a kind of capacitive divider which consists of a detecting electrode attached outside of the bushing of GS, an impedance matching circuit, and a voltage buffer. It can be easily installed in an established GS without changing the structure. For the calibration and application investigations, the voltage measuring device was set up in the 25.8 kV 400 A GS, and a step pulse generator having 5 ns rise time is used. As a result, it was found that the frequency bandwidth of the voltage measuring device ranges from 1.35 Hz to about 13 MHz. The error of voltage dividing ratio which is evaluated by the commercial frequency voltage of 60 Hz was less than 0.2%. In addition, voltage dividing ratio in the commercial frequency voltage and in a non-oscillating impulse voltage were compared, and their deviation were less than 0.7%.

  • This paper provides the results of performance investigation of gas insulated switches(G/S) for distribution power system. In order to investigate anti-contamination capability of G/S we carried out electrical tests and material analysis on the body of G/S and it's accessories. Through this experiment we found out the lead cable of G/S had not anti-contamination capability and G/S had insufficient interval between each phase. In order to improve the performance of G/S for heavy contamination area it is indispensable to replace the lead cable to the new cable which has anti-contamination ability.
