  • 현재, 인터넷의 보급이 보편화되고 있다. 그래서 인터넷을 이용할 수 있는 기술과 장비가 개발되고 발전되어 가고 있다. 이러한 시대적 흐름을 공학 연구에서도 잘 이용할 수 있다. 언제 어디서나 인터넷을 쉽게 이용할 수 있다는 장점을 이용하여 수시로 지능형 로봇에 대한 실험과 그 결과를 얻을 수 있다. 뿐만 아니라 다른 실험장비에 대해서도 위와 같은 실험과 결과를 얻을 수 있다. 지능형 로봇은 제어 컴퓨터가 탑재 가능하여 랜 선의 제약을 받지 않는다. 다만 무선 인터넷이 가능한 공간에서만 실험 가능하다. 본 논문에서는 지능형 로봇에 탑재한 제어 컴퓨터(클라이언트)와 일반 컴퓨터(서버)구조를 가지며 나중 제어 인터페이스를 구현한다.

  • This paper focuses on a method to connect mobile devices such as mobile robot, Automated Guided Vehicle(AGV) to a fieldbus. In this paper, the IEEE 802.11 wireless LAN is used to extend a Profibus-DP network for the mobile devices. In order to integrate these two networks, a protocol converter is developed with two process(i.e., master process of Profibus-DP and virtual master process of IEEE 802.11) and an transmission buffer. Futhermore, a virtual polling algorithm is developed at the protocol conveter in order to satisfy real-time requirements on data communication.

Flying Cake: An Augmented Game on Mobile Device (Flying Cake: 모바일 단말기를 이용한 실감형 게임)

  • In the ubiquitous computing age which uses a high quantity network, mobile devices such as wearable and hand-held ones with a small tamers and a wireless communication module will be widely used in near future. Thus, a lot of researches about an augmented game on mobile devices have been attempted recently. The existing augmented games used a traditional 'backpack' system and a pattern marker. The 'backpack' system is expensive, cumbersome and inconvenient to use, and because of the pattern marker, it is only possible to play the game in the previously installed palace. In this paper, we propose an augmented game called Flying Cake using a face region to create the virtual object(character) without the pattern marker, which manually indicates an overlapped location of the virtual object in the real world, on a small and mobile PDA instead of the cumbersome hardware. Flying Cake is an augmented shooting game. This game supplies us with two types: 1) a single player which attacks a virtual character on images captured by a camera in an outdoor physical area, 2) dual players which attack the virtual character on images which we received through a wireless LAN. We overlap the virtual character on the face region using a face detection technique, and users play Flying Cake though attacking the virtual character. Flying Cake supplies new pleasure to flayers with a new game paradigm through an interaction between the user in the physical world captured by the PDA camera and the virtual character in a virtual world using the face detection.

Detection and Prevention of Bypassing Attack on VLAN-Based Network Segmentation Environment (VLAN을 이용한 네트워크 분할 환경에서의 네트워크 접근 제어 우회 공격 탐지 및 방어 기법)

  • Many organizations divide the network to manage the network in order to prevent the leakage of internal data between separate organizations / departments by sending and receiving unnecessary traffic. The most fundamental network separation method is based on physically separate equipment. However, there is a case where a network is divided and operated logically by utilizing a virtual LAN (VLAN) network access control function that can be constructed at a lower cost. In this study, we first examined the possibility of bypassing the logical network separation through VLAN ID scanning and double encapsulation VLAN hopping attack. Then, we showed and implemented a data leak scenario by utilizing the acquired VLAN ID. Furthermore, we proposed a simple and effective technique to detect and prevent the double encapsulation VLAN hopping attack, which is also implemented for validation. We hope that this study improves security of organizations that use the VLAN-based logical network separation by preventing internal data leakage or external cyber attack exploiting double encapsulation VLAN vulnerability.

  • The wireless LAN environment using Mobile IP is constructed and managed to be connected with Ethernet based wired networks. However, there have been many problems with wireless networks using Mobile IP. Some important facts on network performance have not been considered when introducing wireless LAN by Mobile IP to wired networks. In this paper, we suggest schemes which can solve problems on Handover latency caused by the asymmetrical connectivity of the Access Router at applying the HMIPv6 and on binding updates due to the MN frequent movement. Our proposed schemes can reduce network latency by using the HMIPv6 architecture with a virtual router layer, and reduce communication overhead by interchanging information of the MN movement between routers. Our schemes are expected to assist in constructing a more real and effective wireless LAN environment based on the HMIPv6 and FMIP.

A New System Design for Wireless Remote Control Over Single-tasking Operating Systems (단일 작업 운영체제 환경에서의 무선 원격 제어 시스템 설계)

  • In this paper, we propose a new system for wireless remote control over single-tasking operating systems such as Microsoft's disk operating system(DOS). In order to control a DOS device in a windows operating system, the proposed architecture uses a video transmitter, a virtual network driver, and a wireless keyboard module. Analysis shows that the proposed system, over 15Mbps wireless LAN(802.11n), can transmit at least 10 to 15 video frames, achieves speed up to a maximum of 8Mbps roughly, and is able to satisfy real time processing with respect to key input. Therefore, the proposed system is well suited to a remote control solution based on DOS devices.

A Receiver-Centric Carrier Sense Technique for Wireless Ad Hoc Networks (무선 애드혹 네트워크에서 수신자 중심 캐리어 센싱 기법)

  • Most wireless ad hoc networks use sender-centric carrier sensing where a data sender determines the transmission timing through channel assessment. However, sender-centric carrier sensing suffers from both exposed and hidden terminal problems even with physical and virtual carrier sensing. In this paper, we propose a new receiver-centric carrier sense (RCS) technique where a data receiver triggers packet transmission based on local channel assessment. Through both numerical analysis and simulation studies, we show that the proposed RCS achieves up to 20.9% higher throughput than previous receiver-centric approaches.

  • Currently, the supply of Internet have been generalized. The technique and the equipment using internet are developing. We can use Internet well in an engineering research such timex flows. We can obtain the result and experimentation about a intelligent robot used of advantage that easily use internet. And other equipment can obtain the above experiment and result. Intelligent robot do not be affected by a limitation of wireless because it can load a wireless LAN equipped computer. The experiment is possible in the space which a wireless internet is just possible. In this paper, Internet-based Virtual Laboratory was consisted of a intelligent robot which load control computer and a general computer. Internet-based Virtual Laboratory have a multi-interface.

  • 현재 홈네트워킹의 솔루션으로 제기되고 있는 것은 이더넷(Ethernet), 전화선(Phone line), 전력선(PLC), 무선랜(Wireless LAN), 블루투스(Blue tooth) 등 다양하다. 그러나 국내 홈네트워킹 시장과 기술의 진행 방향 및 잠재 시장 전망에 대한연구가 부족한 현실에서 시장 참여자들의 불 확실성은 높을 수 밖에 없다. 이에 어떤 기술이 홈네트워킹 시장을 주도할 지를 전망하는 것이 무엇보다 시급한 과제가 되고 있다. 따라서 본 연구에서는 홈네트워킹 유선 전송 기술분야에서 유력한 규격으로 예상되는 PLC를 중심으로 홈네트워킹의 수요를 예측하고자 한다. 홈네트워킹 시장은 홈네트워킹 장치들이 Built-in 형태로 보급되는 신규주택과 소비자의 선택에 의해 홈네트워킹 장치들이 설치되는 기존 주택 시장으로 나누어 질 수 있다. 본 연구에서는 기존 주택 시장을 대상으로 컨조인트 방법을 통한 소비자의 선호 구조를 홈네트워킹을 구현시키는 각 기술에 대한 (기술)로드맵과 결합하여 동적인 소비자의 선택을 관찰함으로써 각 기술이 확산되는 과정을 살펴볼 것이다. 추가적으로 PLC의 기술적 특징들을 가상적으로 변화시켜가면서 다른 기술과의 경쟁관계를 살펴봄으로써 PLC의 기술개발 전략에 시사점을 도출할 것이다. 본 연구를 통해 홈네트워킹의 관련 실무자에게는 향후 홈네트워킹 시장 진입이나 제품 개발, 기술 협력 제휴시 유용한 자료가 될 것으로 보인다. 또한 정부의 정책담당자들에게는 홈네트워킹 확산의 장애요인 해소를 위한 정책 가이드라인을 제공할 수 있을 것으로 기대하고 있다.
