Optimization for Concurrent Spare Part with Simulation and Multiple Regression (시뮬레이션과 다중 회귀모형을 이용한 동시조달수리부속 최적화)

  • Recently, the study in efficient operation, maintenance, and equipment-design have been growing rapidly in military industry to meet the required missions. Through out these studies, the importance of Concurrent Spare Parts(CSP) are emphasized. The CSP, which is critical to the operation and maintenance to enhance the availability, is offered together when a equipment is delivered. Despite its significance, th responsibility for determining the range and depth of CSP are done from administrative decision rather than engineering analysis. The purpose of the paper is to optimize the number of CSP per item using simulation and multiple regression. First, the result, as the change of operational availability, was gained from changing the number of change in simulation model. Second, mathematical regression was computed from the input and output data, and the number of CSP was optimized by multiple regression and linear programming; the constraint condition is the cost for optimization. The advantage of this study is to respond with the transition of constraint condition quickly. The cost per item is consistently altered in the development state of equipment. The speed of analysis, that simulation method is continuously performed whenever constraint condition is repeatedly altered, would be down. Therefore, this study is suitable for real development environment. In the future, the study based on the above concept improves the accuracy of optimization by the technical progress of multiple regression.

Meta-analysis of the Effects of Untact Convergence Exercise Programs on Balance, Gait, and Falls Efficacy of Parkinson's Disease Patients (비대면 방식을 융합한 운동 프로그램이 파킨슨 환자의 균형, 보행, 낙상 효능감에 미치는 효과에 관한 메타분석)

  • In this study, a meta-analysis was conducted to find out the effects of convergent "untact" exercise programs on the balance, gait, and falls efficacy of Parkinson's patients. In this study, the PICO were Parkinson's disease, virtual reality program and an e-exercise program intervention, a comparative intervention with the contact interventions applied, and without any interventions applied, outcomes were balance, gait, and fall efficacy. The survey period was between January and February 2021, and five papers were selected and subjected to meta-analysis. Risk of bias, a tool commonly used for randomized control trial studies, was used. Furthermore, RevMan program was used to investigate effect size of untact exercise programs. The result of the meta-analysis showed that the effect size of balance of the untact exercise program group was 1.27 (SMD=1.27; 95% CI 0.72 to 1.83) (Z=4.51, p<0.001), the effect size of fall efficacy was 0.52 (SMD=0.52; 95% CI -0.000 to 1.03) (Z=1.96, p=0.05), and the effect size of gait was -0.40 (SMD=-0.40; 95% CI -1.00 to 0.10)(Z=1.32, p>0.05). A total of 5 literature analysis showed that untact exercise program is more effective in improving balance and falls efficacy than contact exercise program, but no difference in effectiveness was shown on gait.

A Study on the Trend Change using Trademark Information before and after COVID-19 (상표권 정보를 활용한 코로나19 전후의 트렌드 변화 연구)

  • Many studies using trademark information have suggested that trademark information is good data to monitor business trends. This study intends to analyze the trend change before and after COVID-19 using trademark information. Changes before and after COVID-19 were analyzed by using goods & service classification, similar group code, and designated goods information as trademark information. Among the trademark information, it was statistically significant that the change in trends before and after COVID-19 using designated goods names. To verify the results, the changes in keywords using designated goods names before and after COVID-19 were compared with the frequency of keywords in Google Trends. Among the top 8 keywords extracted from designated goods names, the frequency of Google trend searches for 'online, antibacterial, prevention of epidemics, meal kit, virtual' is on the rise, and 'mask, droplet' is not on the rise, but it increased rapidly at the time of COVID-19, and even after COVID-19, it showed a higher level than before. The frequency of 'unmanned' does not differ much before and after COVID-19, but it has been maintained at a consistently high level, and related businesses have been active since before COVID-19, and it can be interpreted as a keyword with high public interest. This study has academic achievements in that it specifically identified information that could be used in business trends by using three types of trademark information.

Implementation of the Aural Cueing System(ACS) for Applying the Reconfigurable Tactical Flight Training System(RTT) (가변형 전술 시뮬레이터 적용을 위한 음향 재생 시스템 구현)

  • In this paper, it has designed and developed the integrated aural cueing system(ACS) system of the reconfigurable tactical Flight Training System(RTT) for the 6 rotorcraft such as UH-1H, UH-60, AH-1H, 500MD, BO-100, and CH-47. RTT is an evolving alternative instructional training system to provide the ability to rehearsal and collectively train, through networked simulators in a unit-collective and combined arms simulated battlefield environment. ACS handles the volume, pitch and repetition of the digitally stored sounds based on commands it receives from the Host server. This paper explained and implemented the conceptual and detail design the ACS system. In order to evaluating the performance of the ACS system, we made the monitoring system for interworking the virtual Host and the ACS system. As the result, it was confirmed the good performance.

Comparing Initiating and Responding Joint Attention as a Social Learning Mechanism: A Study Using Human-Avatar Head/Hand Interaction (사회 학습 기제로서 IJA와 RJA의 비교: 인간-아바타 머리/손 상호작용을 이용한 연구)

  • Joint Attention (JA) has been known to play a key role in human social learning. However, relative impact of different interaction types has yet to be rigorously examined because of limitation of existing methodologies to simulate human-to-human interaction. In the present study, we designed a new JA paradigm with emulating human-avatar interaction and virtual reality technologies, and tested the paradigm in two experiments with healthy adults. Our results indicated that initiating JA (IJA) condition was more effective than responding JA (RJA) condition for social learning in both head and hand interactions. Moreover, the hand interaction involved better information processing than the head interaction. The implication of the results, the validity of the new paradigm, and limitations of this study were discussed.

  • In this paper, a new rehabilitation training system was developed to improve equilibrium sense of the elderly by combining virtual reality technology with a fixed exercise bicycle. In order to evaluate the effectiveness of the training system, the elderly participated as test subject in the investigation of the influence of different the parameters on postural balance control. We measured three different running modes of virtual bicycle system with two successive sets. The parameters measured were running time, velocity, the weight movement, the degree of the deviation from the road, and the variables about the center of pressure. The repeated training, our results showed that the running capability of the elderly improve compared. In addition, it was found out that the ability of postural control and the equilibrium sense was improved with the presentation of the visual feedback information of the distribution of weight. From the results of this experiment, we showed that our newly developed system might be useful in the diagnosis of equilibrium sense or in the improvement of the sense of sight and, somatic, and vestibular sense of the elderly in the field of rehabilitation training.

  • The purpose of this study is to analyze and match future teaching-learning methods with learning-space types as customized not only by school grade or grade groups, but also by learning modality. As a result, the following six teaching-learning methods were identified as future teaching-learning methods: flipped learning, deeper learning, collaborative learning, learning through immersive virtual reality, playful learning, and learning through OER(Open Educational Resources). There were also six learning-space types that were identified: playing and discovering space, a making and placement space, a presentation and sharing space, a space for independent study, space as a stage, and space as content(See Tables 8 and 11). Learning-space types and future teaching-learning methods were matched with 22 different types of learning modalities based on the presented degree of utilization by school grade or grade groups(See Table 13).

Thus, the focus of this study is to examine new ways of developing a comprehensive cyber security management system.

  • The aviation safety policy master plan is promoting the development of aviation safety management technology applying the 4th industrial revolution technology with the goal of establishing a flawless aviation safety management system and establishing a future aviation safety infrastructure. The master plan includes the establishment of various aviation safety management systems such as aircraft fault management using AI & Big data and flight training system using VR/AR. Currently, the Air Force is promoting a flight safety management system using new technology under the goal of building smart air force. Therefore, this study intends to apply the 4th Industrial Revolution technology to the aircraft condition check system that finally checks the safety of the aircraft before flight. The Air Force conducts airframe flaw checks and pre-flight aircraft check. In this study, we architect the airframe flaw check system using AI and drones, and the pre-flight aircraft condition check system using the IoT and big data for more precise and detailed check of aircraft condition and flawlessness check.

  • Criticality analyses of the KSC-1(Korean Shipping Cask-1) spent fuel shipping cask have been performed with the help of KENO-IV Monte Carlo computer code and 19-group CSLIB 19 cross section set which was generated from AMPX modular system. The analyses followed a benchmark calculation which has been made regard to the B & W CX-10 criticality facility in order to validate the Monte Carlo code cross section set described above. The KSC-1 shipping cask seems to be safe in the criticality point of view for the transport of one PWR spent fuel assembly under the normal conditions as well as the hypothetical accident conditions.
