The adjectives for represnting emotions is important to evaluate and select the colors or color patterns. In this paper, we perform the MDS analysis, factor analysis, and cluster analysis to the Soen's experimental data obtained from the evaluation of random color patterns with 13 adjective pairs. As a result, those adjectives can be reduced 3 different factors representing emotions of weight, activity and temperature, which is approximately corresponds the results of previous researches on single colors. Also, we show that the adjectives for preference can be approximate4 by other primary adjectives for color patterns using regression analysis. This implies that one can construct a uniform emotion space for evaluating and selecting color patterns regardless of objects such as wall papers, carpets, and so on.

The efforts to represent the numbers based on the decimal system give us fundamental understanding to construct and teach the concept network on the related knowledge of elementary and secondary school mathematics. In the process to represent natural numbers, integers, rational numbers, real numbers as decimal system, we will classify the extended decimal system. Moreover we will obtain the view to classify real numbers. In this paper, we will study the didactical significance of mathematical knowledge, which arise from process to represent real numbers as decimal system, starting from decimal system representation of natural numbers, and provide the theoretical base about the classification of real numbers. This study help math teachers to understand school mathematics in critical inside-measurement and provide the theore tical background of related knowledge. Furthermore, this study provide a clue to construct coherent curriculum and internal connections of related mathematical knowledge.

By designing and applying the lesson helping to discover the power laws, we tried to investigate the characteristics on the class. To do this, we designed a discovery lesson on the power laws and applied to 54 8th grade students. As results, we could observe the overproduction of monotonous laws, tendency to vary the type of development and increase error to students without prior learning experience, and various errors. All participants failed to express the generalization of $a^m{\div}a^n$ and some participants expressed an incomplete generalization using variables partially for the base or power. We could also observe an error of limited generality or a representation error which did not use the equal sign or variables. In the survey of students, there were two contradictory positions to appeal to the enjoyment of the creation and to talk about the difficulty of creation. Based on such results, we discussed the pedagogical implications relating to the discovery of power laws.

The goal of this research is to evaluate the usability of visually browsing the automatically extracted information. A domain-independent information extraction system was used to extract information from news type texts to populate the visually browasable knowledge base. The information extraction system automatically generated Concept-Relation-Concept triples by applying various Natural Language Processing techniques to the text portion of the news articles. To visualize the information stored in the knowledge base, we used PersoanlBrain to develop a visualization portion of the user interface. PersonalBrain is a hyperbolic information visualization system, which enables the users to link information into a network of logical associations. To understand the usability of the visually browsable knowledge base, IS test subjects were observed while they use the visual interface and also interviewed afterward. By applying a qualitative test data analysis method. a number of usability Problems and further research directions were identified.

The purpose of this study was to examine the relationships between anger expression, social supports, and adjustment to college life among nursing students. A convenience sample of 266 students in two colleges participated in the study. Data were analyzed using t-tests, ANOVA, Pearson correlation coefficients, and multiple stepwise regression. The mean score for adjustment to college life was above average. The mean score for adjustment to college life differed significantly according to students' reasons for applying to college and perceived health status. Adjustment to college life significantly correlated with anger expression and social supports. Multiple stepwise regression analysis showed that anger expression (Anger-Out, Anger-In, and Anger-Control), social supports, and perceived health status explained 27.1% of the variance in adjustment to college life. The study findings suggest that interventions intended to promote nursing students' adjustment to college life should focus on improving anger management, social supports, and perceived health status.

Stateflow is a useful system modeling tool, which is frequently used in industry. But Stateflow has defects when users are trying to describe consecutive behaviors or a system's temporal behaviors. Timing diagram, on the other hand, is a widely used tool of explaining behaviors of a hardware system in electronics. This tool has a merit when specifying consecutive behaviors and temporal behaviors of a system. Thus, this paper suggests $Stateflow_{TD}$, the unified modeling methodology in Stateflow domain integrating Stateflow with Timing diagram in order to improve the shortcomings of Stateflow. This paper not only explains a technique of integrating both a Stateflow model and Timing diagram models, and describes advantages of what $Stateflow_{TD}$ formalism has, but also shows its convenience using two example systems.

Artifact pattern representation of a method using the digital technology is largely are two digital rubbing technique and digital contrast technique. Digital rubbing technique is clearly with the naked eye to see the original prestigious and difficult to build a digital rubbing data patterns by scanning a prestigious and patterns carved into the artifacts in three dimensions without compromising the circle to represent the three-dimensional effect by contrast it to the objective value refers to a technique that can be represented in digital. Digital contrast technique can not be calculated if the depth information of the object due to the glassy film of artefacts in a three-dimensional surface scanning and the application of this technique refers to a realistic image mapped digital technique for generating digital image contrast. Digital rubbing technique is mainly useful to express the most prestigious and patterns expressed in pottery or tile and stone monument, etc. engraved or embossed, digital contrast techniques can be used effectively to artifacts such as magnetic or glass can not be applied to the digital rubbing technique.

This study explored three questions: (1) what are the motives of producing and using user-created contents (UCC, video clips which are produced and uploaded at various web sites by individuals), (2) what are the gratifications that users obtain from UCC, and (3) what are the differences of gratifications according to individual uses of UCC. A survey was conducted to 258 UCC users and data were factor-analyzed to find the dimensions of motives and gratifications. As for the motives of UCC uses, six factors were constructed: self-expression, private life, participation, information retrieval, rest, and entertainment, among which self-expression showed the largest variation. As for the gratifications, five factors were constructed: self-expression, rest, information retrieval, socializing, and entertainment.

With the increase of a web service technology, a new access control mechanism has developed for XML documents. As a result, as legacy access control systems, access control systems has become an active research topic. In this paper, we propose a methodology to translate access control policies for XML documents into formal specification language CSP. To do this, first, we introduce a method to translate a hierarchical access to XML documents using XPath language into CSP process algebra. Second, we explain a method to represent a XML schema as a formal model like automata. Third, we present a method for representing the semantics of access control policies such as the scope of rules and confliction resolution into a process algebra language. Finally, a CSP specification example of an XML schema and path expressions aye shown to illustrate the validity of our approach.

The purpose of this study was to explore the effect of the interactive message expression and consumer characteristic insert IPTV advertising. The results of this study were follow: Firstly, Attention and attitude of interactive message advertising appeared than general TV advertising so that it was high. Second, In case of interactive message advertising, It appeared efficiently than the advertising without the advertisement detail information which is putting the good detail information. Third, In interactive message expression of IPTV advertising, Floating expression strategy appeared efficiently most. Lastly, Adoption of consumer characteristic was revealed that we had an influence on the knowledge level and the information search intention about IPTV. We present theoretical basis which to present interactive message to IPTV supplier is efficient, and the plan which floating expression can make the click intention of the advertising.
