The Korea National Health and Nutrition Examination Survey(KNHANES) consists of Health Interview Survey, Health Behaviour Survey, Nutrition Survey, and Health Examination, and is designed to produce a broad range of descriptive health and nutritional statistics for sex and age subdomains of the population. These data can be used to measure and monitor the health and nutritional status of the population of Korea. The survey has been conducted three times from 1998. The Korea Centers for Disease Control and Prevention(KCDC) is preparing for the 4th survey which is to be conducted from 2007 through 2009. This study is to design a sample for the 4th survey. The main new feature of the sampling design is using a rolling sampling design method. Since KCDC has imposed some operational requirements, e,g., the needs of producing the annual national statistics and of year-round data collection by some regular staffs, a rolling sampling design method is introduced. This is the first time in history of applying a rolling sampling design for a national-wide large scale survey in Korea. Bringing in the rolling sampling, measurement variation due to different data collectors may be minimized.
According to the previous studies about Shilla's cremate grave, in the process of importing the cremate grave, there has been correlation with Chinese Buddhism, and there have been a lot of mentions about the change of the grave, Yinwha(Stamp) patterns and its existence, and about the characteristics of the vessels to contain the bones. The cremate grave is categorized into two-parts type and mono-type, depending on the dead person. The cremate graves that are in local areas such as Wang-Gyeong, show difference in types. The typical vessel to contain the bones, called "Yeongyeol Gori Yoogaeho" is again proved to have existed from A.D 8c. ~ A.D 9c., judging from the Yinwha pattern stamp's existence. Yet, the Yeongyeol Gori Yoogaeho from 9th century used the patternless pottery, also seen from the Won-wha 10 yeon-myeong cremate grave. Due to the prosperity of Buddhism, when the "Mukuchonggwang Taranikyong(Sutra)", translated into Han language in 704 at Dang, was imported into Shilla, the funeral ceremonies of Shilla people changed from making cremate graves with vessels or scattering the bones in oceans, into building stupas in temples with hopes and wishes to bring oneself and family's fortune and the next life of the dead. As a result, the meaning of "Grave" disappeared for the cremate graves, and rather the ceremony changed into scattering bones and wishing fortunes for the dead person. In other words, the ancestor-worship ceremony which was focused on the tomb changed into commemorating the ancestors and wishing individual fortunes by the religious assembly in temples and the building process of stupas. In conclusion, this social change was the cause of the extinction of stone chamber with tunnel entrance and the tombs such as cremate grave.
The Tian-Ren Relations theory was prevalent in Han period. People says that after this, in the West Han period, Dong zhong shu systematized the theory. In his Tian-Ren Relations theory, the various characters of Ren & Tian has same structure by personifying Tian and Nature. Wang chong's Tian-Ren Relations theory is not only very a critique on the Tian-Ren response theory in West Han period, but also a basis of his own thought-system. At that time, the social consciousness form was already the modified Tian-Ren response theory. But Wang chong sharply criticized it, because he thought that Tian-Ren response theory is very falsehood. Critique of Wang chong has two aspect, One is truth and falsehood judgement in empirical fact of human about the Tian-Ren response theory. The other is right and wrong judgement in value of human & society about the Tian-Ren response theory. The different meanings are always overlapped each other or appeared at the same time in critique of Wang chong In this paper will be research on this Tian-Ren relations theory of Wang chong, his critique on Tian-Ren response theory and the meaning of human-being on his theory.
The goal of the study is to provide a new type of audio-visualization method through case analysis and work production based on Polysomnography(PSG) data that is difficult to interpret or not familiar to the public. Most art works are produced with conscious actions during waking hours. On the other hand, during sleep, we get into the world of unconsciousness. Therefore, through the experiment, want to discover if could get something new when we were in the subconscious state, and if so, wondered what kind of art could be made through it. The study method is to consider definition of sleep and sleep data first. The sleep data were classified into normal group and Narcolepsy, Insomnia, and sleep apnea by focusing on sleep disorder graphs that is measured by sleep polygraph. After that, I refined and converted the acquired biometric data into a text-based script. The degree of sleep in the text form of the script was rendered as a 3D animated image using Maya. In addition, the heart rate data script was transformed into a midi format, and the audition was implemented in the garage band. After Effects combines the image and sound to create four single channel images of 3 minutes and 20 seconds each. As a result of the research, I made an opportunity for anyone easy to understand the results, having difference with the normal data, through art instead of using difficult medical term. It also showed the possibility of artistic expression even when conscious actions did not occur. Through the results of this research, I expect the expansion and diversity of artistic audiovisual expression of biometric data.
In the wake of the radical structural change of the society, problems in family support for the old aged have arisen. Against this backdrop, the aim of this study was to examine aspects of the conflicts in family support focusing on novels by Park Wan-seo, and to analyze the expression of the family support awareness within the social consciousness. It selected the works that contain the contents of the elderly's support among 92 short stories, which were published from 1970s and 2006. The short novels that are contained the elderly's support are 9; , , , , , , , , . The analysis frame of research is the content analysis about the novel among the qualitative methods of study. Analysis unity is in each sentence in which the support issue for the elderly is dealt with. This research adopted all of the description and dialogue that include support for the elderly. The results of analyzing the main supporters in Park Wan-seo's novels are as followings: one novel describes that couples are living healthily by helping together, and another novel shows that an old man receives the support of old woman because of the disease. Meanwhile, an old man receives the care of daughter in two novels and five old men receives the care of daughter in law after bereavement of spouse. Most of all, all support type for the elderly in her novels were family support.
Food habits and Korean food utilization patterns were surveyed from 188 Koreans residing in New Zealand and Malaysia by using a questionnaire. Forty seven percent of the respondents answered that Korean food should be succeeded as its traditional form. Most subjects had strong pride for Korean traditional food. Kimchi was the most frequently consumed side dish followed by Chigaes (stew), broiled meat, Tubu (bean curd), broiled fish, Tangs (soup), and Noodles. While Kimchies were prepared by the respondents themselves, Doenjang and Kochujang were sent from the relatives in Korea or purchased from the market. The changes in food consumption pattern after emigration depended on the availability of food items in residing country. Korean style meal (cooked rice and side dishes) was eaten by 51% respondents for breakfast and by 78.2% for supper. Ramyon was the most frequently consumed instant food. Eating out frequency was much higher in the residents in Malaysia than the ones in New Zealand. This study showed that Koreans residing in foreign countries have the consciousness trying to succeed Korean traditional food culture, and their food consumption pattern partly depends on food availability and socio-cultural properties of the residing country.
Purpose: The purpose of this study was to evaluate the validity of reference points for edentulous patient by examining the correlation of teeth and face, and intraoral anatomic landmarks. Materials and methods: We examined a facial outline, length, bizygomatic width, nasion - gnathion length, glabella - nasion distance in 270 men and 280 women satisfied with inclusion criteria from Seoul National School of Dentistry. The shape of maxillary central incisor, mesiodistal crown width and length of maxillary 6 incisors, distance from incisive papilla to labial surface of maxillary central incisor, and perpendicular distance from incisive papilla to intercanine line were measured in the stone model. We analyzed the ratio and relevant relation statistically. Results: The probability on having the same shape of face and the relative same shape maxillary incisor was 55.56% and 46.43% for men and women. The facial length proved to be a more valuable measurement in women in the tooth selection. The ratio of bizygomatic width to mesiodistal width of maxillary central incisor, and the ratio of bizygomatic width to width of maxillary 6 incisors were 16.8 : 1 and 3.0 : 1 and were positively correlated with each other. The distance of the canines from the maxillary incisal papilla was $1.33{\pm}1.28mm$. The distance between the center of the incisal papilla and the labial surface of their maxillary central incisor was $9.23{\pm}1.20mm$. Conclusion: It was showed that anatomical reference points in tooth selection and arrangement for edentulous patient are useful and have validity in our limited study.
Purpose: This study evaluated the bonding strength of direct relining resin to Co-Cr denture base material according to surface treatment and immersion time. Materials and methods: In this study, Co-Cr alloy was used in hexagon shape. Each specimen was cut in flat surface, and sandblasted with $110\;{\mu}m$$Al_2O_3$ for 1 minute. 54 specimens were divided into 3 groups; group A-control group, group B-applied with surface primer A, group C-applied with surface primer B. Self curing direct resin was used for this study. Each group was subdivided into another 3 groups according to the immersion time. After the wetting storage, shear bond strength of the specimens were measured with universal testing machine. The data were analyzed using two-way analysis of variance and Tukey post hoc method. Results: In experiment of sandblasting specimens, surface roughness of the alloy was the highest after 1 minute sandblasting. In experiment of testing shear bond strength, bonding strength was lowered on group B, C, A. There were significant differences between 3 groups. According to period, Bonding strength was the highest on 0 week storage group, and the weakest on 2 week storage group. But there were no significant differences between 3 periods. According to group and period, bonding strength of all group were lowered according to immersion time but there were no significant differences on group B and group C, but there was significant difference according to immersion time on group A. Conclusion: It is useful to sandblast and adopt metal primers when relining Co-Cr metal base dentures in chair-side.
Purpose. This study aimed to investigate the effect of different veneering methods on the tensile bond strength between polyetherketoneketone (PEKK) and denture base resins. Materials and methods. A total of 80 PEKK T-shaped specimens were fabricated and the primer (Visio.link) was applied after airborne-particle abrasion with 110 ㎛ alumina oxide powder. According to the veneering method, the specimens were divided into four groups (n = 20) to be veneered with the gingival colored packable photopolymerized composite resin (SR Adoro); flowable photopolymerized composite resin, (Crea.lign); heat-polymerized resin (Vertex); and self-polymerized resin (ProBase Cold). Each group was divided into two subgroups (n = 10) according to the artificial thermal aging. After the tensile bond strength measurement via universal testing machine, the fracture sections of all specimens were observed. Two-way ANOVA and Tukey's HSD post hoc test were used for the statistical analysis (α = .05). Results. The results of the two-way ANOVA showed statistically significant differences in the tensile bond strength according to the veneering method and artificial thermal aging of denture base resins (P<.001). The highest tensile bond strength showed in the packable photopolymerized resin group before and after the artificial thermal aging. The lowest tensile bond strength showed in the heat-polymerized resin group. The mixed and adhesive fracture showed in all groups. Conclusion. The veneering method and artificial thermal aging can influence in the tensile bond strength between the resin and PEKK. The artificial thermal aging can reduce the tensile bond strength.
This thesis presents the research of analytical psycholoy in respect of Jindo Dasiraegi. In a funeral of Jindo, situated in the southern island of Korea, there is a theatrical performance which is called Dasiraegi(rebirth). This research manifested a basic, universal meaning of psychological approach related the implicit of death in performing theatre from a analytic psychological point of view. The characteristics of this theatrical feast are like these ; 1) funeral festival 2) entrance of clown(the existence of antipole and conflict) 3) eroticism 4) active participation of female character 5) difficulty in her delivery 6) the moment of joy thanks to childbirth. The prerequisite of this feast should be a propitious mourning of person dying old and rich. That is, after having a complete life, it could be an entire death. Three main roles in Dasiraegi ; a bat-blind buddhist devotee, a strolling actor teasing men, an apostate monk, theses characters lock horns in a form of triangle conflict relations, then they keep a balance with a fake mourner as a protagonist , modulator and narrator. These characters are indeed clowns who manifested a metaphor as a decent, sacred and reasonable part of shadow regards group consciousness. The alive and the deceased, mourner and fake mourner, piety and confusion, wail and laugh, silence and grumble, death and birth, diverse antipole all coexist then theses are in harmony. The blind devotee and the monk are in antipole, the entertainer(anima) provokes a conflict between them. The infant is a solution as same as a result of conflict. This conflict seems to be eased by birth of a baby which is a symbol of wholeness(ganzheits) but the conflict of antipole is reenacted as insisting his parental right so this solution is leaving the baby to the chief mourner who is fourth character and the first beginning. Unconsciousness, hereby, is negotiating with appeared reality. The Images in unconsciousness are conscious and this new energy in unconsciousness is proceeding towards consciousness, then it became a therapeutic power for the loss of consciousness. Dasiraegi is the play of consolation much more for the alive than the deceased. The death signified not a loss but a resurrection and this intends a transition of new leading independent role for the alive. These make us have more prudent consideration concern the double sense of renewal for the dead and the alive. It is preserved as only a form of drama on stage after disappearance of Dasiraegi in a funeral recently. Dasiraegi was a manifestation of unconsciousness for compensation about the unilateral attitude of group consciousness to the strict death excessively. Therefore, this will enable reflect the relativeness and the attitude which regards the death as the end today.
