Change in labor time is affecting occupational safety and health. Recently reduction in labor time brought innovational operation method, investment in plant and equipment, and flexible labor time in some companies, thereby affecting working conditions for labourers. However, working conditions for some vulnerable social groups have deteriorated. As a result, they are becoming more exposed to risk factors such as injury and emotional stress. In this study we use 2014 KWCS data in order to find the social and demographic characteristics in Korean working conditions. To this end, we use exploratory data analysis approach to find the relationship between some of the important variables in the KWCS data. We also use Press-State-Response model to find which group of people are vulnerable to Press and State. We find that women, people over age 50 and business owners are more vulnerable to Press and State than men, people below age 50 and wage workers.

As for the result of analyzing anxiety factors regarding disaster damage potential composed of 20 items of safety manager, damage potential of sink hole which recently rapidly increased was the highest, and followed by anxiety from safety damage potential of family, anxiety from phone call damage. Likewise, if the anxiety toward disaster damage potential is digitized, it contributes to setting safety management planning for disaster prevention as it visualizes the risk.

Recently, the need for new approaches and recognition of safety and maintenance has been raised for small vulnerable facilities in Korea due to the acceleration of aging facilities, various safety accidents, and increased frequency of use. In particular, small vulnerable facilities(SVF), including most social welfare facilities, are facilities used by many of the vulnerable groups, and safety management is very important. Therefore, this study investigated various statuses based on safety inspection results (31,114 cases) conducted over the past 13 years (2008-2020) for small vulnerable facilities in Korea, and evaluated the characteristics of each field and safety and maintenance performance level. This aims to present policy directions for strengthening safety management of facilities for the vulnerable by using basic data such as improvement of safety standards and maintenance strategies for small vulnerable facilities in Korea in the future.

This study aimed to identify worker groups that are to accidents and to track the changes in their socioeconomic status there after. We analyzed the Korean Labor and Income Panel Study (KLIPS) database(2001-2006) were recorded according to the participant's economic activity status at the beginning of follow-up, and economic activity status was. During the follow-up period, the unemployed group experienced more accidents that resulted in disability than the economically active group. Interestingly, the unemployed group also had the highest industrial accident rate. Among the employed, daily and unpaid family workers were more vulnerable to disabilities. After the accidents, the participants tended to become economically inactive or unemployed. Compared to other worker groups, the economically inactive, unemployed, and daily and unpaid family workers experienced higher rates of accidents and faced graver conditions as a result. Although they constitute a significantly large part of society, these vulnerable workers are not currently covered by any social security measures, such as accident surveillance, training, and accident insurance. Social policy should therefore be directed toward protecting these vulnerable worker groups.
Currently, the housing supply rate exceeds 100%, and the penetration rate continues to increase. This housing supply rate is changing from quantitative supply-oriented to improving the quality of the residential environment in housing service policies. Despite the increase in the housing supply rate, practical access to the vulnerable class is still difficult and there are many areas that are insufficient to use housing services when necessary. In addition, the demand for residential services is increasing due to the expansion of the scope of the vulnerable class. In order to compensate for these problems, facilities and joint occupancy that cannot guarantee independent living are mainly established, although a supply plan is established for the vulnerable by expanding policies and support projects. This paper proposes an IoT environment-based housing support system for vulnerable groups to support housing services for vulnerable groups. The proposal system improves the quality of the residential environment and provides service-oriented support services. Through the proposal system, appropriate social participation opportunities can be provided by improving the quality of life of the vulnerable and supporting a residential environment where independent living is possible.
Elderly people living in poverty are one of the most vulnerable population groups who are at risk of experiencing social exclusion. Social participation is an important contributing factor to active aging and social integration of the older adults living in poverty. This study aims to identify factors affecting social participation of the poor elderly. Data from the second wave of the Korean Longitudinal Study of Ageing was used for the analyses and 1,346 poor elderly aged over 65 were analyzed. The findings showed that age, education, health status, a level of depression, financial stress, and economic activity were associated with the social participation of the elderly living in poverty. These results indicated that psychological empowerment and specific needs of the older adults living in poverty should be considered in developing services and programs to promote social participation of the poor elderly.

Problems of housing, healthcare, social exchanges, and lonely feelings of vulnerable social groups such as the elderly living alone in rural and fishing villages should be resolved by guaranteeing minimum residential rights and levels to restore the sense of self-esteem and social stability and to maintain the rural communities and these should be the object of social interest and support. The housing problems of rural and fishing villages should be resolved not through supply to meet demand but by beginning with providing the ways to attain mutual interaction through the program that recognizes housing as merit goods to maintain the regional communities This research examines more minutely the problems caused by poor housing conditions of rural and fishing villages and attempts to present rural and fishing village type community living home as an alternative through regeneration. The results of this research are as follows. First, the administrative support system should be built to support the community living home in its beginning, process, completion, and even post management. Second, education for reinforcing capabilities to help understand the community living home should continually conducted on the occupants, villagers, and related organizations. Third, in order to expand the community living home, research and development should be made so that the zero-energy house, the alternative energy utilizing house, etc. can be widely used.
