RTCVD 법으로 성장한 실리콘 에피막의 특성 (Characteristics of the Silicon Epitaxial Films Grown by RTCVD Method)

  • RTCVD (rapid thermal chemical vapor deposition) 법을 이용하여 급준한 불순물 농도분포를 갖는 서브마이크론 두께의 실리콘 에피막을 성장하였다. 실리콘 에피막 성장은 $SiH_{2}Cl_{2}\;/\;H_{2}$ 혼합가스를 사용하고, $H_{2}$ probating 공정을 포함하는 여러 가지 공정변수들을 변화하면서 성장계면에서의 불순물 농도 분포의 계면특성 및 성장율, 결정성등을 평가하였다. 실리콘 에피막의 결정성은 $900^{\circ}C$ 에서 $H_{2}$ prebaking 공정 후 동일한 온도에서 성장한 경우에 전위등의 결함이 보이지 않았으며, $SiH_{2}Cl_{2}$ 원료가스의 부피비에 따라 실리콘 에피막의 성장율을 선택함으로서 에피막 두께를 서브마이크론 까지 조절할 수 있었다. 실리콘에피막의 불순물 농도분포는 성장 계면에서 약 $200{\AA}/decade$ 로 급격하게 조절될 수 있음을 SIMS 법에 의한 분석으로 확인하였다.

  • “The Regional complex long-term program of restoration (reintroduction) of Primoryes ginseng population up to 2005” elaborated by Primorye governor administration, Regional Committee of Natural Resources and Russian Academy of Sciences operates in Russian Primorye. The Institute of Biology and Soil Science (IBSS) provides the scientific implementation of the program including the genetic analysis of extant ginseng populations, plant reproduction and off-spring identification. According to our investigations, the genetic resource of P. ginseng in Primorye is represented by three populations of wild-growing ginseng and a few pritate plantations. The results obtained by RAPD allowed concluding that the resource is dispersed among the wild and cultivated ginseng sub-populations in such a way that each of sub-populations studied has to be represented as a stock material to maintain species genetic variability. The allozyme analyses also showed that the small sub-populations of wild ginseng are characterized by unique genetic diversity and, therefore, they all need to be represented in reintroduction centers. Additionally the allozyme analysis discovered that the Blue Mountain and Khasan populations possess the most genetic diversity. So, at least one more reproductive ginseng unit has to be created besides two already existing reintroduction centers representing the Sikhote-Alin and the Blue Mountain populations.

절곡된 단면을 갖는 얇은 판요소 콘크리트 충전 각형강관 기둥의 부착거동 (Bond Behavior of Thin-Walled Rectangular Profiled Steel Sheet Concrete Short Columns)

  • 본 연구는 콘크리트로 충전한 절곡된 단면을 갖는 각형강관 기둥의 부착특성을 매입인발(Pull-out) 시험을 통해 평가하였다. 시험체는 단면 $250{\times}250mm$의 강관 단면에 콘크리트를 충진한 PSSC기둥으로 표준형(P), 사다리꼴(I), 직사각형(II), 역사다리꼴(III)의 4가지 형태(Fig. 3)와, 부착길이에 대한 폭비 (L/D=2.0, 2.5, 3.0) 단면의 폭두깨비(d/t)으로 설정하여 총 13로 하였다. 실험결과 얇은 판요소 절곡된 강관과 콘크리트의 부착거동은 일반적인 부착거동과 유사하게 화학적 부착과 기계적 부착의 형태로 거동하였으며, 부착응력은 강판의 절곡형태가 (equation omitted)순으로 높게 나타났다. 또한 (equation omitted)타입 시험체의 경우에는 얇은 판요소를 갖는 단면임에도 불구하고 AIJ에서 제시하고 있는 $0.147N/mm^2$의 값을 상회하는 것으로 나타나 부착응력을 고려할 수 있을 것으로 판단되었다.

2.4 GHz 무선 키보드/마우스 전자파 신호 분석 및 조작 시스템 구축 (Implementation of 2.4 GHz Wireless Keyboard and Mouse Electromagnetic Signal Analysis and Manipulate Systems)

  • 최근 높은 편의성과 휴대성을 바탕으로 무선 입력 장비들의 사용이 증가하고 있다. 특히 2.4 GHz 주파수 대역을 사용하는 무선 키보드와 무선 마우스가 가장 많이 사용되고 있지만, 무선 장비의 경우 누설되는 전자파를 제3자가 수신하여 개인정보를 획득하기가 용이하기 때문에, 보안에 대한 취약점 또한 꾸준히 보고되고 있다. 본 논문에서는 2.4 GHz 무선 키보드와 무선 마우스의 취약점을 검증하기 위해 USRP 장비와 GNU 라디오(Radio) 패키지를 사용하여 2.4 GHz 무선 키보드와 무선 마우스의 패킷을 분석하고, 이를 조작하는 시스템을 구현하였다. 구축한 시스템을 이용하여 해당 장비의 통신 프로토콜 및 패킷 구조를 분석하여 장비 고유 주소(Address)와 입력 키 정보를 획득하였고, 임의의 키를 송신하여 원거리에서 사용자 PC를 조작할 수 있다는 것을 증명하였다.

승습탕(勝濕湯)이 MIA로 유발된 골관절염 흰쥐에 미치는 영향 (Effects of Seungseup-tang on MIA-induced Osteoarthritis Rats)

  • Objectives This study was designed to evaluate the anti-inflammatory effects of Seungseup-tang (SST) on the monosodium iodoacetate (MIA)-induced osteoarthritis rats. Methods Osteoarthritis was induced by injection of MIA ($50{\mu}l$ with 80 mg/ml) into knee joint cavity of rats. Rats were divided into 4 groups (normal group, control group, indomethacin treated group, SST treated group, each n=6). Normal group was not injected with MIA and taken normal diet. Control group was injected with MIA and taken with distilled water. Indomethacin treated group was injected with MIA and taken indomethacin 5 mg/kg by oral administration. SST treated group was injected with MIA and taken SST 200 mg/kg by oral administration. We examined the weight-bearing ability of hind paw, biomarkers related to oxidative stress in serum, inflammatory proteins and inflammatory mediators and cytokines. Moreover, histopathological examination of knee joint structure was also performed by Hematoxylin & Eosin (H&E), Safranin-O staining method. Results In the present study, SST treated group showed a similar inhibitory effects alike indomethacin treated group, in most of the studied parameters of inflammation. The increased oxidative stress biomarker such as reactive oxygen species (ROS) and peroxy nitrite ($ONOO^-$) in the serum were reduced with SST. Especially, the level of $ONOO^-$ compared with control group significantly suppressed. Also, the expression of inflammatory mediators and cytokines induced by nuclear factor-kappa B (NF-${\kappa}B$) activation was modulated through inhibition of IkBa phosphorlation. In addition, histological analysis revealed that cartilage damage by MIA repaired markedly in SST treated group. Conclusions According to the results, Seungseup-tang may be effective for preventing the progression of osteoarthritis.

New Polytriazoleimides with High Thermal and Chemical Stabilities

  • A series of novel polytriazoleimides were prepared from various aromatic dianhydrides and a new kind of 1,2,3-triazole-containing aromatic diamine synthesized by the Cu (I)-catalyzed 1,3-dipolar cycloaddition reaction in DMAc, and characterized by FT-IR, $^1H$-NMR, XRD, DSC and TGA techniques. The results show the polytriazoleimides are soluble in most of strong polar solvents and have inherent viscosity values of 0.51-0.62 dL/g(DMAc). The polytriazoleimide films exhibit a tensile strength of 62.3-104.5 MPa and an elongation at breakage of 4.0-8.1%, a glass transition temperature ($T_g$) of $257-275^{\circ}C$, a decomposition temperature (at 5% weight loss) of $350-401^{\circ}C$ in $N_2$ atmosphere, and a dielectric constant of 2.47-3.01 at 10 MHz, which depend on the structure of the polymers. The polytriazoleimides perform good resistance to acid and alkali solution.

Streptomyces sp. YBE-316이 생산하는 항암성 항생물질의 정제 및 특성 (Purification and Characterization of the Antitumor Antibiotic from Streptomyces sp. YBE-316)

  • For the development of new antitumor antibiotics produced by microorganisms, Streptomyces sp. YBE-316 was isolated from soil. The productivity of the antitumor antibiotic from Streptomyces sp. YBE-316 gradually increased after 60 hours, and was maximum after 100 hours after inoculation in growth medium (2.0% sucrose, 1.0% soybean meal, 0.1% K$_{2}$HPO$_{4}$, pH 7.0) at 30$\circ$C, 150 rpm, 5 NL/min by 30 l jar fermentor. This antitumor antibiotic was present only in mycelium, and stable in pH 5.0-10.0 for 20 minutes at 100$\circ$C. Antitumor and antibiotic activities were maintained at neutral pH, and heat stability was low. This antitumor antibiotic was soluble in methanol and ethanol, and insoluble in water, ethyl acetate, chloroform, and n-hexane. This antitumor antibiotic was sequentially purified by acetone extraction from mycelium, butanol extraction, and silica gel column chromatography. Antitumor activity was low against most tested cell lines, but antibiotic activity was high and low against yeasts and bacteria, respectivelv. The visualization test showed that this antitumor antibiotic had higher hydroxyl, ketone, amino, carboxyl groups, and sugar(s) in its structure. Instrumental analyses showed that this antitumor antibiotic was a pentaene in polyene class antibiotics. In pentaene class antibiotics, this was considered as an eurocidin or capacidin type antibiotics. The molecular weight of this antitumor antibiotic was higher than 683.0 daltons, and this antitumor antibiotic might be glycosylated by other sugar(s), instead of mycosamine or perosamine, an amino sugar.

CFD를 이용한 회전 운동을 하는 이젝터의 최적화 (Optimization of ejector for swirl flow using CFD)

  • 본 연구는 오존 방식 선박평형수 처리의 주요 장치인 기체-액체 이젝터에 대하여 구동 노즐의 유입부에 회전 운동 유도 장치에 의해 발생되는 구동 유체의 회전 운동이 이젝터 효율에 미치는 영향에 관한 연구이다. 먼저 배압에 따른 이젝터의 각 포트별 압력과 흡입 유량을 확인하기 위하여 실험 장치를 구성하고, 회전 운동이 없는 이젝터에 대한 실험 수행 및 데이터를 획득한다. 실험의 데이터를 바탕으로 격자 사이즈 비교를 통해 기체-액체 이젝터에 적합한 유한요소모델을 선정하였으며, 도출된 CFD 모델을 이용하여 구동 유체의 회전 운동이 이젝터의 흡입 효율을 향상시킬 수 있음을 확인하였다. 이를 바탕으로 이젝터의 흡입 유량을 높이기 위하여, 메타 모델을 이용한 크리깅 기법을 사용하여 회전 유도 장치의 내부 형상 인자인 전체 길이 l, 내부 직경 d, 날개 개수 n에 대한 구조 최적화를 수행한다. 최적화된 회전 유도 장치를 적용한 결과 구동 유체의 회전 운동이 없는 이젝터에 비해 이젝터 효율이 약 3% 가량 개선됨을 확인하였다.

Hot Walll Epitaxy (HWE)법에 의한 $CuInSe_2$ 단결정 박막 성장과 가전자대 갈라짐에 대한 광전류 연구 (Growth and Photocurrent Study on the Splitting of the Valence Band for $CuInSe_2$ Single Crystal Thin Film by Hot Wall Epitaxy)

  • A stoichiometric mixture of evaporating materials for $CuInSe_2$ single crystal thin films was prepared from horizontal electric furnace. To obtain the single crystal thin films, $CuInSe_2$ mixed crystal was deposited on thoroughly etched semi-insulating GaAs(100) substrate by the hot wall epitaxy (HWE) system. The source and substrate temperatures were $620^{\circ}C$ and $410^{\circ}C$, respectively. The crystalline structure of the single crystal thin films was investigated by the photoluminescence and double crystal X-ray diffraction (DCXD). The carrier density and mobility of $CuInSe_2$ single crystal thin films measured with Hall effect by van der Pauw method are $9.62{\times}10^{l6}\;cm^{-3}$ and $296\;cm^2/V{\cdot}s$ at 293 K, respectively. The temperature dependence of the energy band gap of the $CuInSe_2$ obtained from the absorption spectra was well described by the Varshni's relation, $E_g(T)\;=\;1.1851\;eV\;-\;(8.99{\times}10^{-4}\;eV/K)T^2/(T+153K)$. The crystal field and the spin-orbit splitting energies for the valence band of the $CuInSe_2$ have been estimated to be 0.0087 eV and 0.2329 eV at 10K, respectively, by means of the photocurrent spectra and the Hopfield quasicubic model. These results indicate that the splitting of the ${\Delta}_{so}$ definitely exists in the $\Gamma_6$ states of the valence band of the $CuInSe_2$. The three photocurrent peaks observed at 10K are ascribed to the $A_1-$, $B_1-$, and $C_1$-exciton peaks for n = 1.

Cytological Analyses of Iris ruthenica K. Gawl. (Iridaceae), an Endangered Species in Korea

  • Iris L. is a perennial genus comprising approximately 300 species worldwide, with the greatest number of endemic species occurring in Asia. Iris is one of the largest genera in the family Iridaceae and includes ca. 15 species native to Korea. Although chromosome number change, karyotype restructuring, and genome size variation play an important role in plant genome diversification, understanding the karyotype variation in Korean Iris species has been hampered by the wide range of base chromosome number (x = 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, 11, 12, 13, 14, 15, 16, 17, 18, 19, 20, 22) reported to date. This study documents the chromosome numbers, karyotype structure and genome size variation in Iris ruthenica K. Gawl., an endangered species in Korea obtained using classic Feulgen staining and flow cytometry. The chromosome number of all investigated plants from the nine populations was 2n = 42. All individuals studied possessed metacentric and submetacentric chromosomes. The genome size of the I. ruthenica in eight wild populations ranged from 2.39 pg/1C to 2.45 pg/1C ($2.42{\pm}0.02pg/1C$: $mean{\pm}SD$). This study provides the first report of genome size variation in Iris ruthenica in Korea. This study lays foundation for cytogenetic further analyses employing by fluorescence in situ hybridization (FISH) to better understand the chromosomal evolution in this species and in the whole genus.
