  • The optical absorption and transmittance of cow' crystalline were measured by spectrophotometer in the 200~800nm wavelength regions. The optical absorptions of crystalline composed of a high absorption band in the UV-A, UV-B, and appeared the light transmittance edge in the 400nm wavelength region, and completely transmitted without the absorption in the high wavelength regions than 400nm. Also, the optical absorption and transmittance had no temperature dependence. The optical transmittance spectrum of crystalline concord with the thin film structure of $n_0/(0.5H)L(LH)^6(0.5H)/n_s$ and $n_0{\mid}(0.5LH0.5L)^kL/1.25{\mid}4.0$ of long-pass edge filter form. In the artificial crystalline and inter lens layout, long-pass edge filter layout can UV cut off.

  • Stereoselective solvolyses of optically active activated esters in the aggregate system of optically active polymeric surfactants containing imidazole and benzene moieties were performed. The catalyst polymers employed were copolymers of N-methacryloyl-L-histidine methyl ester (MHis) with N,N-dimethyl-N-hexadecyl-N-[10-(p-methacryloylo xyphenoxycarbonyl)-decyl]ammonium bromide(DEMAB). In the solvolyses of N-carbobenzoxy-D- and L-phenylalanine p-nitrophenyl esters (D-NBP and L-NBP) by polymeric catalysts, copoly(MHis-DEMAB) exhibited not only increased catalytic activity but also enhanced enantioselectivity as the mole ${\%}$ of surfactant monomers in the copolymers increased. The polymeric catalysts showed noticeable enantioselective solvolyses toward D- and L-NBP of the substrates employed. As the reaction temperature was lowered for the solvolyses of D- and L-NBP with the catalyst polymer containing 3.5 mole ${\%}$ of MHis, the increased reaction rate and enhanced enantioselectivity were observed. The coaggregative systems of the polymer and monomeric surfactants were also investigated. In the case of coaggregate system consisted of 70 mole ${\%}$ of cetyldimethylethylammonium bromide with polymeric catalyst showed maximum enantioselective catalysis, viz., $k_{cat}(L)/k_{cat}(D)$ = 2.85. The catalyst polymers in the sonicated solvolytic solutions were confirmed to form large aggregate structure by electron microscopic observation.

  • In 1963, Toomre built up classes of mass models for the highly flattened galaxies which have free parameters n, $a_n$ and $C_n$. In order to keep the universal dimension, we adopt parameters $b_n({C_n}^2={a_n}^{2n}+^2{b_n}^2/(n-1)!)$ insteal of $C_n$. Series of the normalized Toomre's mass models (G = $V_{max}$ =$R_{max}$ = 1, n = 1 to 7) are derived and the normalized parameters $a_n$ and $b_n$ are determined by the iteration method. Replacing parameters $a_n$ and $b_n$ to ${a_n}^l(=a_nr_{max})$ and ${b_n}^l(=b_n\cdotV_{max}/r_{max})$, we can get the generalization of Toomre's mass model.

  • Though L $a_{1+x}$S $r_{2-x}$M $n_2$ $O_{7}$ n=2 R-P phases have been well known to have CMR effect, it was generally believed that n=1 phase was insulating. But recently monolayered perovskite $Ca_{2-x}$L $n_{x}$Mn $O_4$phase has been reported to show magnetoresistance. In this study, layered perovskite $Ca_{2-x}$L $n_{x}$Mn $O_4$ (x=0, 0.5, Ln=Pr, Nd, Sm, Gd) phases were synthesized by solid state reaction and their structures were refined by Rietveld method. The space groups of $Ca_2$Mn $O_4$, N $d_{0.5}$C $a_{1.5}$Mn $O_4$phases were refined as C2cb and Fmmm, respectively.y.ely.y.y.y.y.y.y.

  • A new di-N-cyanoethylated 14-membered tetraaza macrocycle 1,8-bis(2-cyanoethyl)-3,5,7,7,10,12,14,14-octamethyl-1,4,8,11-tetraazacyclotetradecane $(L^2)$ and its nickel(II) complex $[NiL^2(OAc)]^+$ have been prepared. The square-planar complex $[NiL^2](C IO_4)_2$ can be prepared by addition of $HClO_4$ to a hot aqueous solution of $[NiL^2(OAc)]^+$ The Ni-N (tertiary amino group) bond distances $(2.008{\AA})$ of $[NiL^2](C IO_4)_2$ are relatively long, and the complex exhibits a d-d transition band at unusually long wavelength (ca. 515 nm). The complex $[NiL^2](C IO_4)_2$ rapidly reacts with acetate ion or ethylenediamine (en) to produce $[NiL^2(OAc)]^+$ or [Ni(en)_3]^{2+}$, respectively, and is readily decomposed in NaOH (0.01 M) solution. The chemical properties of $[NiL^2]^{2+}$ as well as its synthetic procedure are quite different from those for other related 14-membered tetraaza macrocyclic complexes. Effects of the N-cyanoethyl and C-methyl groups on the properties of $L^2$.

  • We study the concepts of congruent number problems and elliptic curves. We research the structure of the group of elliptic curves and find out a method of the computation of L($E_n$, 1) and L'($E_n$, 1) by using SAGE program. In this paper, we obtain the first few congruent numbers for n ${\leq}$ 2500.

  • Let M$^n$ be a complete oriented non-compact minimally immersed submanifold in a complete Riemannian manifold N$^{n+p}$ of nonnegative curvature. We prove that if M is super-stable, then there are no non-trivial L$^2$ harmonic one forms on M. This is a generalization of the main result in [8].

  • Objective: The first stage in both breeding and programs for the conservation of genetic resources are the identification of genetic diversity in the relevant population. The aim of the present study is to identify genetic diversity of six brown layer pure chicken lines (Rhode Island Red [RIRI, RIRII], Barred Rock [BARI, BARII], Columbian Rock [COL], and line 54 [L-54]) with microsatellite markers. Furthermore, the study aims to employ its findings to discuss the possibilities for the conservation and sustainable use of these lines that have been bred as closed populations for a long time. Methods: In the present study, a total number of 180 samples belonging to RIRI (n = 30), RIRII (n = 30), BARI (n = 30), BARII (n = 30), L-54 (n = 30), and COL (n = 30) lines were genotyped using 22 microsatellite loci. Microsatellite markers are extremely useful tools in the identification of genetic diversity since they are distributed throughout the eukaryotic genome in multitudes, demonstrate co-dominant inheritance and they feature a high rate of polymorphism and repeatability. Results: In this study, we found all loci to be polymorphic and identified the average number of alleles per locus to be in the range between 4.41 (BARI) and 5.45 (RIRI); the observed heterozygosity to be in the range between 0.31 (RIRII) and 0.50 (BARII); and $F_{IS}$ (inbreeding coefficient) values in the range between 0.16 (L-54) and 0.46 (RIRII). The $F_{IS}$ values obtained in this context points out to a deviation from Hardy-Weinberg equilibrium due to heterozygote deficiency in six different populations. The Neighbour-Joining tree, Factorial Correspondence Analysis and STRUCTURE clustering analyzes showed that six brown layer lines were separated according to their genetic origins. Conclusion: The results obtained from the study indicate a medium level of genetic diversity, high level inbreeding in chicken lines and high level genetic differentiation between chicken lines.

  • We are considering the following problem that can be used in the prediction of the structure of proteins. Given two length n arrays A, B with positive numbers and a positive number M, find all pairs of subarrays A[i]+…A[j],$1{\leq}i{\leq}j{\leq}n$ such that A[i]+…A[j]+B[k]+…B[l]=M. This paper presents an algorithm with $Ο(n^2log n+K)$ time using Ο(n) memory, where K is the number of pairs output. The previously best known one is with $Ο(n^2log +Klog n)$ time and Ο(n) memory.
