Categorical Research On the Past Chiefs of Presidential Security Service (역대 대통령경호실장 유형분석)

  • The purpose of this study is to categorize the past Chiefs of Presidenteal Security Service so far based on their level of expertise and authority so that we can identify some specific reasons as to why some of them are recognized as successful while others are not, and that the categorization will be a guideline to future successful administration. In order to do so, a quantitative research has been implemented through meetings of a group security science expert who has been in security business for substantial amount of time.   • A new peanut cultivar "Jopyeong" (Arachis hypogaea ssp. hypogaea L.) was developed at the Yeongnam Agricultural Research Institute, NICS, in Milyang in 2006. It was developed from the cross between the very short stem cultivar "CUP brittle" and the high-yielding cultivar "Daekwang". "Jopyeong" which is Virginia plant type has 23 branch number per plant with early maturing and ellipse-shaped large kernel. Each pod has two grains with brown testa and 100 seed weight was 87g in the regional yield trials (RYT). This variety also showed more resistant to late leaf spots compared with check one. Especially it has resistance to lodging owing to short stem and erect plant type. In the regional yield trials "Jopyeong" was out-yielded than check variety by 11% with 8.37 ton/ha for fresh pod and by 4% with 3.95 ton/ha for grain.

  • In this paper, in order to evaluate the impact of future climate change in North Korea, we collected the climate data of each station in North Korea provided by WMO and expanded the lack of time series data. Using the RCP climate change scenario, And the impact of climate change on disasters using local vulnerability to disasters in the event of a disaster. In order to evaluate this, the 11 cities in North Korea were evaluated for Design Rainfall Load, human risk index (HRI), and disaster impact index (DII) at each stage. As a result, Jaffe increased from C grade to B grade in the Future 1 period. At Future 2, North Hwanghae proved to be dangerous as it was, and Gangwon-do and Hwanghae-do provincial grade rose to C grade. In the case of Future 3, Pyongyang City dropped from C grade to D grade, Hamgyong and Gyeongsang City descend from B grade to C grade, Gangwon-do and Jagangdo descend from C grade to D grade and Pyongyang city descend from C grade to D grade. Respectively.

Lower Body Type Classification by Buttocks Shapes of Korean Women in Their 20's (국내 20대 여성의 엉덩이 형태에 따른 하반신 체형 분류)

  • The purpose of this study is for size suitability and fitness improvement for Korean 20's women. This study has classified hip types of 20's women by the 6th Korean Anthropometric Survey(Size Korean), then compared their lower body-type by hip types each other. The results are as follows. Factor analysis in sorting hip types can be explained 77.72% by nine factors. And cluster analysis can be divided into three types. Type 1 is referred to as a general type which has the largest size in the 'Hip circumference', but the buttocks's horizontal sizes are in the middle size besides the hip line. Type 2 is referred to as a protruding type in upper buttocks which is large in protruding volume of upper buttocks, but the buttock's horizontal sizes are small including 'Hip circumference', and buttock's horizontal section form close to circle. Type 3 is referred to as a type which is contrary to Type 2. Type 3 is small in protruding volume of upper buttocks, but large in lower buttocks, and the protrusions in whole buttocks are small, so the side view of Type 3 made gentle fit shape. By these results, the study could classify lower body of 20's women, and it can be basic data for new sizing systems and pattern development of bottoms.

Study on the Water Movement in Jinhae Bay (진해만의 해수유동에 관하여)

  • Current observations were carried out in Jinhae Bay area during the period of January to February 1974. The data were synthetically analyzed and the characteristics of the water movement in Jinhae Bay were studied. The water movement in Jinhae Bay area is a reversing tidal current type and the Semi- diurnal tidal current is predominant. The ebb current begins at about high water time and the strongest current occurs at about 3 hour after high water. The flood current begins at 0.2-1.0 hour before low water and the strongest current occurs at about 3-4 hour after low water. The main ebb current flows to SE direction with the maximum welocity, about 100cm/sec and the lood flows to NW with the maximum velocity, about 70cm/sec. Generally, the ebb current in Jinhae Bay is more predominat than the flood current except at the west and the north coast area of Gadeog-do where the flood current is more predominant.

Association among apolipoprotein E gene polymorphism, diabetes mellitus, and ischemic cerebrovascular disease in Koreans

  • The association between apolipoprotein E (apoE) gene polymorphism and ischemic cerebrovascular disease (ICVD) has been controversial. These controversies may be due to inaccurate classification of patients and ethnic differences. The aim of the present study was to assess the relationship between apoE gene polymorphism and the development of ICVD in a population from Korea. We investigated 136 patients with ICVD and 357 controls without ICVD. No differences in the apoE genotypes frequencies ($X^{2}$ = 3.660, df = 5, P = 0.454) and even in the alleles frequencies ($X^{2}$ = 1.946, df = 2, P = 0.378) were observed in the ICVD patients compared with that in controls. The data have been compared with data found in other population groups. However, the risk of ICVD associated with apoE ${\varepsilon}3/{\varepsilon}4$ genotype was increased nearly 3-fold in subjects possessing the history of diabetes mellitus (OR 3.3, 95% CI 1.2-9.4, P = 0.026). We concluded that the apoE polymorphism is not associated with ICVD at least in the Korean population, but the apoE frequencies found in this study differ significantly from those obtained in Japanese.

Simultaneous VLBI observations of H2O and SiO masers toward VX Sgr using KVN

  • We performed simultaneous VLBI observations of H2O 616-523 (22.2 GHz) and SiO v=1, 2, J=1-0 (43.1, 42.8 GHz) and v=1, J=2-1, J=3-2 (86.2, 129.3 GHz) masers toward VX Sagittarius using the Korean VLBI Network (KVN). The astrometrically registered maps of the 22.2 GHz H2O and 43.1, 42.8, 86.2 SiO masers were successfully obtained at two epochs of 2016 February 27 and 2016 March 27 by adopting the Source Frequency Phase Referencing (SFPR) method. In addition we detected 129.3 Ghz SiO maser at second epoch. These results make it possible to determine the accurate position of central star as a dynamical center of 22.2 GHz H2O maser and relative locations of 43.1, 42.8, 86.2, 129.3 GHz SiO masers. In addition, it is possible to investigate the morphological and kinematic variations of clumpy structures from SiO maser to H2O maser regions in future together with the development of asymmetric structure of H2O maser region.

Comparison of the Response Inhibitory Event Related Potential between Suicide Attempt and Ideation (자살 시도와 자살 사고 간 반응억제 사건유발전위 비교 연구)

  • Objective : There have been limited scientific studies differentiating those who attempt suicide from those who think about suicide but do not attempt suicide. Altered event-related potential (ERP) performance, such as GoNogo ERP has been regarded as the neurocognitive processes associated with behavioral inhibition and poor impulse control. The purpose of this study was to investigate the association between Nogo ERP and suicide attempt. Methods : A total of 63 participants (33 participants with suicide ideation and 30 with suicide attempt) were recruited, and performed GoNogo tasks during the electroencephalogram measurement. Depression, anxiety, emotional regulation and impulsivity were evaluated by self-rating scales. The clinical measures and Nogo P3 component were compared between the groups. The correlational analyse was conducted to evaluate the relationship between the clinical characteristics and the Nogo P3 component. Results : Participants with suicide attempt significantly decreased the Nogo P3 amplitudes at the frontal-central electrode than participants with suicide ideation (p=0.004, FDR adjusted p=0.032). In the correlation analysis, the Nogo P3 amplitude at frontal-central electrode was correlated with the total score of the Barrett impulsivity scale (r=-0.383, p=0.002), attentional impulsivity (r=-0.365, p=0.003) and motor impulsivity (r=-0.389, p=0.002) subscales of the Barrett impulsivity scale. Conclusion : These findings suggest that the decreased Nogo P3 amplitude may be one of the candidates of biological marker for poor impulse control in those who attempt suicide.

Effects on the Shelf-life of Tofu with Ethanol Extracts of Rubus coreanus miquel, Therminalia chebula Retz and Rhus javanica (두부의 저장성에 미치는 복분자, 가자육, 오배자 에탄올 추출물의 효과)

  • From 7 different medicinal herbs, Rubus coreanus miquel, Therminalia chebula Retz and Rhus javanica was selected by paper disk method against 10 different microorganisms. The ethanol extracts of selected herbs was added into Tofu, and the total viable cell counts was determined. After 4 days, total viable cell count reached to $10^7$ and the Tofu putrefacted. The tested sample added with 0.01% of Terminalia Chebula Retz extract, the shelf-life was extended as 108.8%, with 0.05% was 117.3% and with 0.1% was 132.6%. Among 3 kinds of medicinal herb, Therminalia chebula Retz has better powerful activity than others.

Do Innovation and Relative Advantage Affect the Actual Use of FinTech Services?: An Empirical Study using Classical Attitude Theory (핀테크 서비스의 혁신성과 상대적 장점은 실질이용에 영향을 미칠까?: 고전적 태도이론을 이용한 실증 연구)

  • The Fintech services provide innovation to financial services users using various mobile devices and computers in wired and wireless communication environments. In this study, we develope a theoretical research framework to explain the psychology of Fintech services users based on a cognitive, affective, and conative framework. Using this framework, this study analyzes the relationships between the cognitive characteristics (i.e., innovation, relative advantage, ease of use, and usefulness), emotional characteristic (i.e., attitude), and behavioral characteristic (i.e., actual use) toward Fintech services users. This study conducted an online survey of people who have experienced using Fintech services. And the data of the collected Fintech services users was analyzed using structural equation model software (i.e., SMART PLS 2.0 M3). The results of the empirical analysis show the relationships between innovation, relative advantage, perceived usefulness, perceived ease of use, attitude, and actual use of Fintech service users. The results of this study provide useful information to improve the practical use of Fintech services users in the Internet of Things (IoT) environment.
